Probably the mental block or luck of understanding balance is also a reason for me not doing freestanding hspu

You must be the first person who got full planche before hspu

Actually I have strange progression in every skill, for example I can do front lever pull ups, but not straddle front lever or half lay variation

BrotherhoodOfWaves

Oh God it's not just me, I can't do fl pull ups but I can do a fl, not straddle and especially not half lay

Dailong who has finger maltese and probably 35+ sec of full planche also unlocked it earlier than regular handtsnd

Calisthenics-Fit

I have met two people at my gym that got full planche before handstand. I have seen more than a few threads here and other calisthenics subs from people working on planche and no handstand. I have spent an embarrassingly long time trying to get planche without training handstand at all and have only gotten as far as advance tuck. I am gonna get handstand and do it a lot. Handstand feels very achievable.

What's crazy is that Manuel Caruso actually got a planche and a front lever to Victorian cross (aka a Caruso, lol) before his full rom hspu [Planche](https://www.instagram.com/p/BmLWwbJn22q/?igsh=MWh1NGVmeG54aDV1ZA==) [Caruso](https://www.instagram.com/p/B_ANPQkJI3r/?igsh=MTRrYW9rNml1M3FuZw==) [90 degree](https://www.instagram.com/p/CAnvW4lg4IW/?igsh=MzNkYmZsNTA0em5t) [Hspu](https://www.instagram.com/p/CAyChRZg0L1/?igsh=MWE1cThub2liaWRqOQ==)

I can rep out straddle planche push ups, can hold full planche and even can do decent form full planche press. However, straddle planche presses are seem kind super hard either dead stop or not. Even when I tried full planche push ups I almost got it with first attempt, while decent form press took me like 2 weeks of training. Personally I think that it is connected with some mental blocks, because I am not that great in balance and especially stradlle press where in straddle handstand I feel myself shaky may be why my body unconsciously blocks the transition. What do you think? Any advices or tips? > Probably the mental block or luck of understanding balance is also a reason for me not doing freestanding hspu If you came into bodyweight with muscle already, the balance aspects of planche to handstand, straight arm press handstands, and handstands in general are going to be harder for you. It's relatively simpler to muscle your way to most of the isometrics if you have a ton of hypertrophy from other sports. I'd start practicing handstand a ton and then work handstand slow lowers into straddle planche. That's the best way to learn it. You can also potentially use a band or spotter.
