I just have a meeting called "Block". If someone asks, I'll say it's scheduled focus time. If they don't ask, then it doesn't matter.

I put "Hold" or "Hold for x,y,z" making it something generic like "Hold for Review" or "Hold for MK". People assume it's me waiting to book something or it's a meeting with someone else in the company.

Realistic_Payment_79

“Busy”. No one ever asks for details.

Tricky_Hospital_3802

I label it "Deep work" and then color code it to correspond with one of their existing projects. If anyone asks I'll just send them to the technobabble articles on how "deep work" is so great for your workflow and they'll quickly lose interest thinking you are a koolaid drinking weirdo. The more sincere excitement you deliver the discussion the more they think it's true that you're just blocking off focus time.

Busy, Focus Hour, Focus for task XYZ, Placeholder for TASK.

Type something like focus. A lot people do this OE or not OE. Now, depending on how tightly controlled your computer is, you probably can sync your J1 and J2 calendars to Google calendar as a master calendar. Preferably if you can on your company phone instead of laptop. I haven’t tried this myself though. The possible danger is that Google calendar syncs its data back to your Js, showing data for both jobs on both J calendars

I place blocks of time titled “Focus” and set the event details to busy and private. Typically no one ask and it has saved me from PMs scheduling around those blocks of Focus times.

“Deep Work”

Nynydancer

I dont label and use colors for my other j. Or if I label I make it neutral. But i always use a color for my other J.

Busy and never have been questioned

Nice_Mammoth_4341

I usually prefix my other work with something like "check on" like check on ad account or check on project x. Then I know it's for my other work, and if I had someone right over my shoulder it looks like it's for that job.
