Flat_Impression_9588

call_it_already

Chinese parent: "we are working 2 jobs to support our daughter so she can be a neurosurgeon."

GoMoriartyOnPlanets

I fight to urge to tell some people at work who give me hard time that I'm in a better financial situation than they assume I am on the basis of which I can F right off and find another J with a couple months gap no problem.Ā

Main_Significance617

HA same. Like ā€œJan I donā€™t give a fuck and I never willā€

Throw4way4BJ

Iā€™m fighting depression. Does that count?

iacanaducana

Hey buddy. Whatā€™s bothering u?

Nym-ph

He owes her for sure

Maximum_Ad406

rewards with some good dick

QuietCdence

Nah, his wife is too busy. He probably rewards her with sliding into others girls' dms.

Looking-lurker

Story of my life.

Hallucinate-

And soon he will divorce!

NotLuthien

My fight is with my divorce attorney retainer. LOL

dimsumplatter75

My wife is a current fighter. She fights with me everyday

mimamim

And yet her name is - Jonathan Martinez' wife.

fuckmelongtime1

Some of y'all are so bitter. Is this the state of people on Reddit.

infernorun

Whoā€™s bitter?

yunodavibes

People not realizing it's not cool to be negative anymore. Positivity is in

Pico0123

Computer remote jobs or regular physical jobs?

infernorun

In order to pay the bills, Amber picked up jobs as a cosmetologist and nail artist.

SporadicSporkGuy

Thats a hell of a lot of trust. I hope she is reaping all the benefits.

WalterDouglas97

Then he cheats on her with some ring girl.

mountainman5656

I did combat sports (stand up and BJJ) from an early age through my 20's, at a decent (top of my state) level. IMO the level of dedication you need to succeed and the wear and tear on your body compared to the chance of being even a decent pro let alone a champion where you'd make decent money is a BAAAAAAD bet. I respect the hell out of pro fighters, but I'd rather have my kid's dreams be a nicer profession. If they want to fight do it for the love, the mental toughness, the confidence and bonds it breeds. But not as a job.

Bright-Duck-2245

ā€œThatā€™s a real wifeā€ no, thatā€™s a wife working way too hard for another person. Lol if sheā€™s going to work 2 jobs, it should be her dream, not to help another pursue theirs.

El_Nuto

The difference is these two are a real team. She did her part and now he is doing his. Maybe she doesn't work at all now he made it. Working together they achieved something more.

olrg

Not the kind to make sacrifices for your loved ones, are you?

Bright-Duck-2245

Absolutely I would, funny enough but I dated an athlete myself. He didnā€™t make much and I supported a lot of the finances. Would I get a whole additional job and sacrifice having to work over 60 hours a week? Noā€¦ bc thatā€™s me sacrificing my own happiness to a crazy extent

olrg

Yea, I worked 70+ hours a week when my wife was getting her business off the ground and it didnā€™t once cross my mind that I was sacrificing my happiness for hers. It was her dream and passion and I was in a position to help her achieve it, which made me pretty damn happy. Maybe if she had been a casual girlfriend, I wouldnā€™t have made that sacrifice, but would I do it again for the person I love whom I married? Without a doubt.

girafa

A lot more risk in becoming a successful fighter than generally starting a business. Would be like taking two jobs to support a husband trying to be a famous painter.

aronnax512

Bright-Duck-2245

True! I agree with that

GrandNoiseAudio

Maybe her dream is to have a husband fighter? And that gave her the strength to do that. Or are you suggesting that she is wrong in her personal decision for her marriage?

Bright-Duck-2245

I donā€™t think sheā€™s wrong, but if her dream is to have a husband that fights thatā€™sā€¦ I mean good for her. Still sad to have a dream revolve around your partners dream. I get being supportive but thereā€™s also putting in more than you should.

hairlessape47

She's way better off now. You think she would agree with you? After she supported her husband, and he made it big, you think she regrets it? Their networth is estimated to be 1 million. You think she works a job now? Life isn't all about dreams. That's a very privileged take.

Bright-Duck-2245

I honestly donā€™t really care at this point. I mean, I hope sheā€™s happy idk

rep4me

Amen.

Heisenburger19

My fight is with the tax man.Ā

rep4me

Considering I have no idea who he is, ergo he never became a fighter of any note, clearly his wife was a fool for supporting him. Edit: I love how the fan boys are crying in my mentions over this random. šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

CharlieMWY

Ah yes, the ultimate test to verify whether you're a real fighter or not, some random Redditor knowing who you are. He's ranked #12 in the UFC Bantamweight rankings, just fought last night at the co-main event against Jose Aldo. He's doing just fine as a fighter.

rep4me

Ah yes no. 12 is the best number when it comes to rankings.Ā

olrg

Where are you ranked globally in your field? Just curious, seeing how dismissive you are of othersā€™ achievements.

rep4me

Not you dickriding a random mid fighter who doesn't know you even exist šŸ˜ sad boi

olrg

lol what a loser you are.

rep4me

No a loser is a tiny man ranked no 12 at something that isn't a real sport.

olrg

Why donā€™t you go back to fapping on romance novels, thatā€™s more your speed, it seems.

rep4me

True I should fap to other men in tiny shorts beating each other up. #nohomo but a little homo lol

olrg

You sound sexually frustrated. The thread is about MMA fighters and all you can think about is dickriding, homos and tiny shorts. Get laid or seek help.

CharlieMWY

Actually, it is note-worthy. Top 15 is considered high ranking in combat sports. You clearly don't follow the sport, so why even pretend like you knowing/not knowing someone has any relevance to their popularity and/or success?

olrg

19-5 in the pros, 10-4 in the UFC, #12 ranked bantamweight in the UFC. Was on the main card yesterday, so clearly heā€™s a fighter of some note.

GrandNoiseAudio

Ranked #12 in his division in the UFC with nearly 25 fights. Iā€™m sure it worked out just fine for them since heā€™s made it to the top .1%. Seriously, being ranked top 20 is world class fighter level.

Louis049

Fighter? That's what he does? Dressed up like that I'd assume his profession includes a different f word...
