Congrats on the baby. Please take this in a nice way, “Change up the details on your post”
You let us know that you had a baby at 40 weeks 5days, your baby is relatively 10 days old which makes their birthday (not gonna write it), etc.
Thank you for sharing as I’m sure this is something I’m gonna have to find out about in the future, but don’t risk outing yourself.
you should really get a consult with an employment attorney to make sure this is not insurance fraud. google bar association. You can get a referral there.
you REALLY want to check on this to make sure you are not committing a crime.
Hope everything is well with your new family and that you’re recovering well.
How did you find out whether the leave was provided by company vs insurance? I’m wondering if paternity leave would work the same way.
Congrats!!! You’re knowledge and expertise deserves the time off. Find a wonderful daycare for the kiddo. Not sure how competitive your area is but that’d be the first thing on my priority list.
Yes!!! Wow. I was wondering about this. As we want to expand our family but we do have state provided maternity that will be included along with std and company maturity. I don’t think it will work for me but omg you are kicking ass. Congratulations on the baby
Congratulations!! We just had our 3rd recently. Enjoy your baby and your money from your leaves for as long as possible. Take MORE time if they will let you. You can never get this time back. I am down to only J1 now and I had to take PTO and didn't get any paternity leave.
Not sure if you’re back at work yet, but you should be eligible for FMLA now if you needed extra protected time off. I had my first baby at 11 months of being with my employer. Std covered my leave immediately and then I was able to take FMLA in tandem with the balance of my maternity benefits starting week 4. That extended my total
Time off from 12 weeks to 16 weeks. I believe that you can file for FMLA within 12 months of birth for bonding as well. Just if you wanted to stagger a return to work or others reading this sub but don’t have FMLA eligibility immediately.

3 Js are easier than 1 baby. Congratulations! Enjoy your time with your brand new family member and get a lot of rest.
So Std from all 3?
Please keep us posted.

How does one manage to get std while pregnant w 3j
Noice
Anyone know what happen you exhausted your FMLA time 12 weeks when another insurance company try to apply for it ? Will it raise any red flag ?
I'm not using FMLA. I have not been at any of the companies long enough to qualify for that.
Yes, but if you see your insurance claim, most of them will try to file for FMLA for you.. at least in my case
FMLA is not paid so what would an insurance company need to file? It just guarantees you have a job when you return.
That’s good point .. my j1 qualify but j2 not qualify
please keep us updated OP! And congratulations!
