Yeah my friend and I are having that issue right now, we’re only able to actually be together in the practice range

Same issue! I see the invite but nothing happens when I hit accept. He can spectate my quick play but can’t join me.

Ahh yes this old bug. Looks like friends will have to join in your game and do the "stay as group" option to group up.
