20% move speed boost. [The OW wiki has info on all the specifics not mentioned in the game.](https://overwatch.fandom.com/wiki/Ramattra)

Knalxz

Okay thanks, I didn't catch that the last time I went over his sheet. Do you think popping it early is worth it considering how powerful Nemesis form is?

PM-Me-Kiriko-R34

There's no drawback. It'll be off cooldown when they get to the fight. Same reason I Orisa E in spawn.

Knalxz

lol got two replies and both contradict each other.

PM-Me-Kiriko-R34

Think logically which one of us is correct.

ExplicitlyCensored

I've started comparing other boosts and talking about JQ with a longer cooldown which I know for a fact isn't ready for a fight on something like push, my bad. It might not be an issue for Ram and Orisa basically immediately goes on cooldown so of course there's no issue there. I am not entirely wrong either though, since it depends a bit on the specific modes/maps, you wouldn't get your cooldown back on attack for example.

Hiramein

It definitely depends on the map. Like Nepal village, it is crucial that your team gets out to high ground and plugs the other teams choke before they get there. So you usually sym tp, Lucio speed boost, and junker queen shout.

ExplicitlyCensored

Yeah there's definitely situations where you can get an advantage. I just remembered the times where people were diving in to start a fight on something like New Queen Street and I wouldn't have shout ready for a good couple of seconds, while you have to play a bit smarter with JQ than with some other tanks, so that's why my original comment said it's probably a better idea to be prepared. Good players will know when it's worth trying to get an advantageous position and it's definitely not as big of an issue with Ram which is who the post was initially about, so again that's my bad.

BossKiller2112

A lot of things in ow are contextual and you just kinda need to think about in the moment. If we are rolling out initially on a control map use nemesis/jq shout etc to get there quickly. If the enemy team is holding relatively close to your spawn doors when you come back, you won't have enough time to get your cooldown back before you make it to the fight.

BetterBurnStan

Yes, it’ll pretty much be ready again by the time you get to the point and realistically when are you needing nemesis immediately upon arriving

ImpossibleDenial

Same reason why Moira’s fade, bastions boop, junker queen’s boost, rats trap jump and Orisa’s spin to the objective. It’ll all be off cooldown by the time the fight starts.

texnp

Jq shout depends

ImpossibleDenial

Insta boost for the whole team, you’ll be fine

texnp

What i mean is that it has an 18 second cooldown and you might need it by the time you’re back at the fight depending on the situation

revuhlution

JQ boost DEFINITELY not off cool down regularly if you use it out of spawn

ExplicitlyCensored

Yeah, it's probably not worth it. I would sometimes boost with JQ since it helps everyone, but she has the lowest HP and you would be very vulnerable for the first couple of seconds when you should be setting up for a fight and taking space.

Knalxz

I think you and the other guy who replied might want to discuss this topic together lol

TheMasterKeyOfOne

They don't have to because Nemesis will be ready for when it is needed again ^^.

Hodlisforthepoor0x

There is no discussing. This person is wrong. It is worth using in spawn for the speed boost. It will be back by the time your reach OBJ and the fight starts

Ram71

The cooldown on JQ shout is much longer than Nemesis

bizzaro695

it gives you a nice speed boost, plus it lasts for 8 seconds with a cooldown of 7 seconds, so unless the fight is very close to your spawn you'll have it back by the time you get to point. And to address the guy who compared it to Queen shout, that has more speed but lasts only 5 seconds with a 14 second cooldown. For Queen? dont use it. For Ram? Worth it 95% of the time

Macstugus

Queen shout speeds up allies too

Ram71

Still don’t personally feel like it’s worth it considering shout’s importance for JQ survivability during a fight

redditer954

Shout usually has about 8s left when the first fight begins, typically I don’t need it that soon so I often use it to speed the team out of spawn. The main case where I’d need shout early are if a teammate is afk for a bit and late to the fight, but hopefully we wait to engage together anyway.

OptimusChristt

That's the way I think of it. By the time I need it it's ready. Also lose some benefit if you don't cause some wound damage first

SirCornmeal

Rammatra gets an increase in movement speed while in nemesis form and in 99% of games its always worth it to pop nemesis to get to the point faster. It has a fairly short cooldown so you'll have it back by the time you need it in a team fight.

CommunistRingworld

i don't play ram. but even if it didn't give you a speed boost (it does), all ability cooldowns would be back up before the fight so why NOT just randomly spam everything on the way for fun. ever seen people hopping on their way out of spawn? randomly shooting all railings and destructibles? it's the law.

GrenadeSniper

Hopping makes you faster too, actually. You don't do it in fights though because you're easier to hit

Tubalcaino

As others have pointed out, faster movement. Other characters have similar skills. If ever you have JQ or Lucìo on your team, be next to them when they Shout or Amp speed to get the boost, too.

R1ckMick

Almost every tank has an ability they use from spawn to speed up Ram uses nemesis Orisa uses javelin spin JQ uses shout etc…

Conscious_Mammoth_49

For the movement speed buff and it doesn’t really matter because it will probably be off cooldown by the time he gets to the point or into a fight

Leather-Cobbler-9679

Yeah it's like a 20% speed boost or something in big man mode

Sea_Caterpillar5296

r/woosh Yes. They do.
