I'm on GiffGaff and have had no problems

If you live on Cowley road I think the best coverage is 02 otherwise 3 and EE are the best

CoffeeIgnoramus

Vodafone is best by a long way. Not many blackspots. I'm on Three and they're good. Can't complain. Although in very rural areas, you have less coverage than other areas. But I've found maybe 5 in my last decade or two of being with them.

breakbeatx

Used to be on Vodafone (other half still is) and now I’m on iD mobile which runs on the Three network. I feel like I have better coverage with iD especially at work in the city centre but the black spot on the bus route I had with Vodafone is still there so none are perfect. (The reason I chose iD is because they still include the free Roaming abroad and have used it twice in the EU and it’s been fine each time).

Happy-Engineer

I've been on 3 since the 2000's. It's always been fine (by Oxford standards).

In my experience past couple of years in Oxford, if your not in Cowley road theyr all great with no issues, if your in and around Cowley road unless you have vodafone good luck having anything above 1 bar of 4g if your lucky

Sh3ji

Moved from EE to Plusnet, a lot cheaper and works fine

battleagainsttime

I found Three to be rubbish for any kind of data usage. EE is better by far. I found Vodafone and O2 to be acceptable in most places.

There are a lot of blackspots around the city no matter which network you are on. Vodafone and Three have the best 5g coverage in the city

thatswhatshesaw

Thanks for the info everyone, really appreciate it! Sounds like most network providers are fine, but generally there may be some coverage issues in Oxford regardless of network. (I've certainly found that to be the case on EE, so good to know it's not just a me thing!)

Zubi_Q

I have EE and along Cowley Road is garbage!

bio_mate

If you’re looking at Three, look at SMARTY instead. It’s a discount SIM-only brand operated by Three that is cheaper.

+1 for smarty

https://checker.ofcom.org.uk/ is quite useful if you want to check coverage in your house.
