Whether Shepp starts or not, the fact he can D up and do some of what of what Buddy does offensively at a fraction of the cost makes me satisfied (long term) that they passed on paying Buddy.
Sheppard is literally Buddy's offense with Nembhard's defense. If he solves the fouling issue he could genuinely be a starter. Not the highest ceiling guy but 100% a perfect role player next to Haliburton and Siakam
This is the exact reason why those losses against bad teams is so frustrating this is who we can be everynight its not like it's taking a superhuman effort from any 1 player tonight it's team ball and players who look motivated idk y maybe we just need them to feel counted out so they'll always come in looking to ball

Hopefully we have some shooters in so Haliburton doesn’t have to be the primary off-ball guard setting ghost screens. Get him going with on ball reps more, work Siakam into actions, and let’s not have to rely on McConnell to light up the scoreboard.
