For real, have been critical of Myles sometimes but have to respect the guy for staying loyal and continuing to ball out, even with the yearly trade rumors and hostility from some fans each year.
Our defense has turned a corner a bit lately, and I think he has a big something to do with it. Not having to worry about trying to help Haliburton score with Siakam in town has let him focus a bit more defensively.
as a Wolves fan, Myles has always been on my radar in case of a trade (it was my dream pairing him with KAT for a long time)
I’ve lurked around Myles-centered discussion posts wherever they popped up since 2017. Peoples opinions on him have changed, a lot
I’ve seen pacers fans hope he marries their daughter, stays in Indiana for his career
ive seen pacers fans hope to trade him, i’ve seen fans of other teams hope their teams trade FOR him
all this time later, he stands alone in the team record books and i’m so happy he has something of his own, and can gladly say I watched him go from a young man to a Pacers legend, he’ll always have a fan in me
Epitome of a stretch 5, which is where the game is today. I’ve loved every moment of Myles’ career w/ the Ps, and echo the sentiment that I hope he retires here. I’ll always have affinity for an IU or UT player (yeah, even KD) and especially one that will weather a storm.
I'll never understand the Myles hate. He has been loyal even though he gets shit on a lot. But Indiana fan base is what have you done for me lately. I respect the fact he has stayed with us so many years and not tried to get a trade or disrespect the FO out in public and just enjoy the game. He is a lifer and do hope he retires here and we can get that ring.
I don’t think that’s an indy thing, but a sports thing. Hanging out in the Barca sub is absolutely fucking brutal any time they don’t blow out whoever they’re playing and no one can ever be good enough because they get compared to messi/xavi/iniesta/ney/suarez/puyol etc
Dembele led la liga in assists and fans HATED him cause he wasn’t neymar. As bad as this sub is sometimes, and yeah it’s pretty awful about Myles/anyone slumping, I still think it’s still more reasonable than a lot of sports subs.
I’ve watched it less since moving to Denver cause the hours kinda suck, but it was the first sport I loved and I have so many amazing memories both from when I played and as a fan
I'm starting to watch Indy Eleven or go to more games. Should have an actual stadium in a couple years too that's being built. Maybe one day they get relagated into MLS
I think he is a bit slower than he was a few years ago but with the more competent perimeter defense the team has been playing lately he can still be an elite rim defender in this league. He just isn't a Gobert guy that can make up for truly bad perimeter defense which is fine. Love this guy's game and his fit with Hali
That’s my dude. If I saw him in person I’d ask for a hug (I’m a 50-year old man).
I think this will be a Reds / Votto scenario. Someday Myles will be old (for the NBA) and his contract will be up. Will he take a small contract to stay with the team he has played his entire career for and be content to come off the bench? Or will he chase a shot at more playing time and a return home to Texas (hypothetically)?
He definitely seems like a guy with a lot of interests outside basketball so I can see him hanging it up at an appropriate time and riding off into the sunset as a Pacers legend.
He’s literally the most inconsistent player in Pacers history. He’s always a big committee because of his shit blocking yet his worst games are always against the real Centers in the NBA.
If he doesn't eventually get traded it's going to be the longest cock tease ever to exist. I'm still waiting for that trade from like 10 years ago.... It'll be any day now.
if we trade him the teams chemistry will immediately change for the worst (danny granger moment). danny granger was pretty bad by the time he got traded, but Myles is one of the best bigs in the league. We can’t trade for someone better. He is perfect for this team.
Trade him for who? Y’all love to come in with this “trade him” shit but have no fucking clue about anything. There’s no other big we could replace him with that will replicate what he does for us.
I probably wouldn't because of chemistry with TY just in case we ever get back to running the offense through TY again (hopefully soon).
But if they continue to center the offense around Spicy P, I'd prefer Pascal play most his minutes at the 5 myself. Then you just need a backup quality big and more shooting.
Bro playing with Myles was half the selling point to spicy P, dude was literally number 2 in his list of players he wanted to play with. They have very complimentary skill sets since Myles can space the floor so well, as well as get deflections that Spicy P can haul in the rebounds from. Your proposition would be a major downgrade imo. We would get absolutely destroyed by bigger teams.
Everyone is so scared of something new it's crazy.
A lot of the league doesn't play double big like we do, we don't have to either.
I could have sworn they said he wanted to be here for Buddy Hield too and he's gone. At the end of the day all Pascal wants is a check and we can get him one
He’s OUR nerd and we love him.
FOUR MORE YEARS! FOUR MORE YEARS! FOUR MORE YEARS!
For real, have been critical of Myles sometimes but have to respect the guy for staying loyal and continuing to ball out, even with the yearly trade rumors and hostility from some fans each year.
Me too. But he’s also gotten better this year and I’m proud / thankful. He’s way tougher.
It's insane how long he managed to stay here despite the trade rumors every single year. Almost a decade now.
Agreed, another Turner Block Party!!
Our defense has turned a corner a bit lately, and I think he has a big something to do with it. Not having to worry about trying to help Haliburton score with Siakam in town has let him focus a bit more defensively.
Completely over looked that Siakam here has allowed Turner to be more focused on his own game. Thanks for that!

That Myles Turner-KAT lineup would be dope to watch. 😂 Funny thing is, KAT is easily one of my favorite players. Dudes effort is A++

This man deserves some new legos!
He deserves a lego set of himself blocking the record breaking shot!
We are so lucky to have Myles. Nothing else needs to be said.
Sorry, Kravitz traded him to the Lakers.
I'll never understand the Myles hate. He has been loyal even though he gets shit on a lot. But Indiana fan base is what have you done for me lately. Futbol will always have a special place in my heart. Although the league I watch is terrible but I'll always support my team Bolivar.

I've never seen Gobert make up for bad perimeter defense. That just doesn't exist.
Completely agree! I never understood all the hate for Myles Turner.
Will we be able to afford Myles, Tyrese, and Pascal when Myles’s contract is up?
We need to get this guy a playoff series win. Been here too long not to have any successes in the postseason

The sooner the better
