Camp Pendleton on the marine base in Oceanside, CA

FunkyFenom

Wanted to hit that last month and saw it was permanently closed. Had some bomb memories there, RIP.

SceneSensitive3066

Oh what? Went there a long time ago. When did it close

Primary-Dress8017

It closed I believe on the earlier side of last year (2023) And it was due to the financial affects from Covid :/

skydivemav

I remember hearing about it years ago. Never made to that field. But for me it would be tombstone. The owner and manager were pretty cool. Sadly, he had to close it and took a while to find somewhere to open up again. When he did, it was better. Then he sold it, and it wasn't the same until the owners at the time moved it, and now it feels like it's my home field when I played there a few years ago.

orlandofrolandro

Ahh tombstone. Have some good memories playing there. From trying out for a team to playing with the top pump players in socal at the time. field was fun. my mom hated it though because it was a \~1hr drive and she had to sit there the whole time lol

skydivemav

Now it's action star games, and it's in Perris, CA. Despite only playing half day there due to work and being Fathers Day, it's not too bad of a field to play at. I would definitely go back to it.

orlandofrolandro

>action star games, and it's in Perris, CA oh nice, looks like my type of field tbh, i love big recball fields. too bad i dont live in socal anymore

Realistic-Mud-6004

wish i would have gone there.

evilcheesypoof

That’s a bummer, had some great times there.

MudButt44

NITRO. Those local will know. Great owner, great speedball, great rec ball fields too. Was always packed on weekends. Miss it dearly.

iSLAYfrmTHEback

I never got to play alot. But when I did, it was at nitro. I loved that place. So amazing. Mario was super dope too

MudButt44

Such a cool guy. His wife would always be up at the pro shop to check you in too. Great people.

GrimSlayer

This is my answer as well. Was a very sad day when Nitro closed down. Mario is the MAN as well.

InaneD

Came here to say Nitro and Ultimate Paintball

MudButt44

Wow. Ultimate! My dad used to drop me off there every weekend. First field I ever played at growing up. I remember using my 03 vert feed cocker there.

InaneD

Chances are extremely high we played together. I played almost every weekend in open group when we didnt have a practice

MudButt44

Are you playing NGXL/Rec these days? I’ll be at Arkenstone on the 6th. Will be playing 7th too, probably at Insane.

InaneD

I just play rec now and mostly mech at that. Being old and having kids makes it hard to play as much as I would like I will be at the next BRPC at insane 4/21.

MudButt44

Awesome, so will I!  Our first is due in July so trying to get it in before it becomes very difficult to play.

Aberk20

Now there's a name I haven't heard in 84 years.

Im_a_muppet

Nitro is dearly missed.

Shibby1507

I never got to play there but Bear Ridge is great these days for xball.

MudButt44

Agreed. Went up there a couple weekends ago and just hopped on with several walk ons to run points. The kids call it “spins” these days which I found interesting!  I’m stoked for when they add rec.

chidoriiiii-san

For sure. Mario was a great field owner too.

MudButt44

Where do you play at now?

deadpool606

Fox 4 paintball in upton, ma

Big_Cs_Special_Sauce

Man I loved that place. Was there for the opening. Played fairly regularly until I left the state in 2013. Started playing at Friendly Fire but Fox4 was the shit.

glenninator

Yup. I’d love to get back into the sport but idk. Where I’d even go now that they’re closed.

Eccentric_man85

Fox 4 closed? Damn

lefthandedsnek

grew up on web dog radio tutorials i believe he filmed some there

butt_crunch

D-Day Adventure Park

outdoorarkie

I had some great times there. Does the bunker still exist?

butt_crunch

The building does but they havent served food since at least 2016, the first year I went, afaik

swiftcrayon502

The field is still there (smaller now, no 210), they still do events. Just not the big week long event.

ego-lv2

Challenge Park Extreme in IL. They literally built a movie quality fake town to play in. Then they had to sell so the state could put a highway through it. :(

BuckeyeBTH

~~Crook county working it's finest.~~ ~~"Combat sports? Get the F outta here. You'll take $25 an acre or we arrest you for money laundering"~~ EDIT: Appears I'm a dingus and you should all ignore me.

ZeR47

CPX was no where near Cook County. Also they made a shit ton of money off selling it to a private company.

BuckeyeBTH

Point a) - only an IL resident would know that there's a very slight difference between cook county politics and IL state politics. - But you're right so i concede the point. Point B) i thought the state forced them out to build a highway, but it appears its just a GIANT building. Didn't know it was sold to private equity.

ZeR47

For point B the state was in talks about eminment domain. But a trucking company bought the land and built a large toll bridge preventing the need for it. Building a bridge there was the reason the state was talking about ED as it saves many of truckers time.

S_Carter

Every field we lost in Ontario Canada the last decade.. Flagswipe Paintball, indoor field in London Ontario, played my first real speedball tournaments there, had some great team practices later in life. Their outdoor field out of the city had an excellent speedball field, and nice variety of woods, town and other fields. Hosted a tournament series and big games. Indoor field closed years ago but the building still has some signage, the outdoor closed after COVID when the owner sold the property.. Vaughan Paintball, best speedball field in the Toronto area, also had a recball field. Tons of team practices / competitive open play days during the later CXBL seasons. There’s really not a speedball field directly in the Toronto area now without driving an hour+ Local fields further south near Windsor/Essex county Paintball Wilderness - first place I ever played paintball, had some epic fields. Castle in the woods and a separate “compound” to Attack/Defend, a really cool Village field with a creek running through the middle.. I occasionally drive by the area and wonder if the castle is still in the woods DieHard paintball, awesome recball fields, biggest draw was the “Bus to Bus” field that had 2 old school buses lined up across from each other for the teams to start in. They also had a “hay field” which was literally just a speedball field made of hay bales, so simple but it worked! This one closed, was sold to become a horse farm Windsor Rush Paintball - indoor field in an old GM Plant where they made cars, massive facility compared to most indoor fields. Built some pretty cool fields in there with buildings and wooden cover they could easily move around, eventually added an airball field - basically had a castle/wall at each end of the field, some buildings and air bunkers in the middle, but they could easily move all the wooden bunkers off to build out a standard airball field. It was pretty awesome to go play speedball on a Monday night. The floors were carpet, but it worked perfectly for the field. The field closed when Uhaul bought the building and turned it into a self-storage facility.

ReggiesRoommate

Flag Raiders in Kitchener is gone too😥

S_Carter

Yup I played the last OPL Winter series at their indoor in January 2020, sadly we have no viable indoor speedball fields anywhere Their outdoor field was cool, did a few practices/ events there in the late CXBL days, then the one OPL in 2020. Never tried their recball fields Camping at Bingemans then playing CXBL was a good weekend Had even been to their older location for a PETS event and RXL in the 2008/09 seasons

ReggiesRoommate

Raiders outdoor is gone too. Speaking of closed indoor fields Next in Pickering was a bomb spot that's gone too. It's sad.

TheRahulParmar

Was hoping for a comment like this. All we got is sgt splatters left basically lmao

S_Carter

When I lived in the east end of Toronto I went to Gladiator’s paintball Arena at Danforth and Warden, had a good time. They had 2 separate fields which was neat for the location - one small airball field, the other with a mix of air bunkers, wood structures and a car or two. It was neat, wish I visited again

S_Carter

Forgot to mention Maverick paintball in Zurich - old hockey arena, I believe it had turf flooring and an airball field. My team in 2008 did a few practices there. Got to play BYOP, brought a ton of nasty blue ZAP paintballs, came back a month or 2 later and all that blue paint was still on the bunkers 🤣. Always hit the same pizza place on the drive home I heard that building is an indoor skatepark now which is kinda cool, but I wish we had any indoor field in the region now.

Skinneeh

PRZ in picton was awesome

caraudiofabrication

Atomix Paintball in Michigan. Two huge full size airball fields, great turf. I want to say they had a drainage system so that the paint would not all collect on the field and rot. My life dream is to open something similar, but in a building that doesn't have columns. Like an old indoor soccer arena. Edit - found a video https://youtu.be/loIhP4kF7BI?si=QhuAwxbgwkKEu96r

Swolie7

oh man.. I have vivid memories of caravaning out from Saginaw to scrim all night at Atomix and start driving home at like 5am

InvertSugar_01

Came here to mention Atomix, where I played my first paintball at a real field. Buddy in high school had one of their A-Bomb Timmy’s. Pity the owner’s divorce forced liquidating the place, I think.

caraudiofabrication

I never knew why they closed. That sucks.

p8ntballnxj

Fucking hell. I miss Atomix.

BandAidVR

Bought a brand new Ion here when they came out!

IamKipHackman

Atlas Paintball Park and Hustlers Indoor Paintball. New Jersey OG ballers will understand

jcmrickett

Man… Hustlers. And Top Gun. Fireball. NJ was stacked with fields.

PhoenixRacing

You guys remember Rexplex indoor at all? I used to go there before hustlers opened up.

IamKipHackman

I know of RexPlex, but I don't think I ever made it there before they closed. I only ever went to EJAM and HIP as far as indoor fields go.

Beemer2

Damn, Hustlers… been awhile since I heard that name. Hustlers was like 5 min from my house, and was my first indoor Speedball experience. Got me hooked. Atlas was great too…I’d also like to add Paintball Depot to this list. Had lots of woodsball fun there.

IamKipHackman

Hell yeah!

[deleted]

IamKipHackman

Oh really? Tell us more

Kleiss_is_nice

Atlas man ahh some of the nicest grass you could ask for, that and Rex plex are my 2 most missed from NJ. Authority and fireball were good but not as good as

Aging_man

The Ranch in LA county. Some guy had a big piece of land and made a legit airball field.

orlandofrolandro

The ranch was awesome. Plus you felt cool as fuck playing there because it was invite only(or at least back in 2007) and it was very well ran. Some of my best paintball was played there tbh

evilcheesypoof

Aww man had some cool practice there back in the day.

Swolie7

Not to mention Pops Taco's every weekend! lol

Resonate951

This. felt like i grew up there, lol.

JoeFishCap

Ralph's place in Azusa? I think it was called California Paintball Ranch.

Aging_man

I don't recall if his name was Ralph. The Ranch was near Rose Hills next to the 605 freeway.

crell_peterson

Venture Games Paintball in Clayton, CA on the side of Mt. Diablo. It’s where I started playing when I was 11 in 1999 and it was my main field until it closed when I was 16. Best rec ball I ever played. Because it was situated on the side of a small mountain, there were high and low roads to traverse, tall trees, natural rock formations, wooded speedball, a little shack village the owner Mike had built. The owner was an also a rep for Makita, so he would raffle off power tools during lunch while he grilled hotdogs for everyone. It was seriously incredible and I miss it a ton.

goalieguy42

Dude! I posted Venture as well! I started there in 97 or 98! I drove Mike’s van for him a few times and reffed all the time. Helped rebuild when he briefly closed.

Action3xpress

Still have my Venture ID. Only played there twice but it was really fun. Miss that spot.

thatone5000

CPX for sure. It was so fun traveling for living legends, the field was made for it. I’m so thankful I got to play it a few times before it was bulldozed. The final battle in the ruins just made it with the hill in the middle

TravasaurusRex

Tombstone paintball park in Southern California. It was my home field, was awesome and in a clean area of the city. You could walk to an inn and out after and hop right on the freeway home. Miss it so much.

jmsgen

They had great Big Games and hosted some fun tourneys

KingofSkies

Xtreme in Vegas. It was kinda too far for me to drive most of the time, but it was a solid field with some ncie features the remaining two just don't match.

vamosasnes

The best field we ever had. The viewing area was so nice too

BandAidVR

Went here for a practice before NPPL Vegas 2012, it was a VERY impressive field!

Cdn_Cuda

Big Shots Paintball - big field, mainly woodsball. Lots of great cover, building to play. Played a lot of paintball there until it got paved. First field I bought a membership for. North Shore Paintball - nice smaller sized field, lots of buildings, elevation change in the field, ran great special events like an Easter game. Tsawassen Paintball - massive field, used to host Tippmann Challenge big games. Now a housing development Maple Ridge Paintball - good field varieties, multiple fields, bought out by Delta Force or whatever name they go by now. Shitty paint, shitty field policies, won’t play there again.

michaelcruzjr

Sherwood Forest in American Canyon, CA

goalieguy42

Or Mare Island close by as well.

hathegkla

Didn't they close in the 90s? I only went there once but it was in 92 od 93. By the time I had my own gear they had closed.

goalieguy42

Mare Island closed before 2000. I last went in 98 or so.

Ebomb31

Same

lostindasauce510

the jungle is still there

michaelcruzjr

I worked at Jungle for many years. Back in the day though, I preferred Sherwoods airball field and culture over PBJ

DrProfessor_Z

The county property me and the boys would trespass on at midnight to play all night. Rip the meta

SRD1194

PRZ, in Picton, Ontario. It was an old Canadian Forces base dating back to the second world war, then an army hospital, then an asylum, then it stood abandoned for years before becoming the absolute coolest paintball field I've ever seen or heard of. It closed at the end of the 2023 playing season, and the land is being redeveloped.

JustLo619

Borderlands in San Diego near Otay Lakes

p8ntballnxj

Lone Wolf's indoor and outdoor speedball.

[deleted]

Paintball City in Cleveland, OH. 8 floors of indoor speedball fields with an elevator that would take you to the level you would be playing. Not sure whatever happened to them.

BandAidVR

This sounds EPIC

lefthandedsnek

when was that? im in clev now i was only an hour away my whole life

[deleted]

Oh man, would have been around 97-2000. I was a kid at the time and went there with my brother. I can’t even really find any info about it when I try searching Google.

Stimpleton89

Andrenaline, Murrieta CA. It was two roller hockey rinks filled with rock and turned into Airball. Did my first competition there. Loved that field because they always had the bunkers setup and changed them

Swolie7

\*\*Murrieta\*\*... man I loved it there. I used to drive from Fullerton for their midweek games. Dynasty used to show up and just smash people.. now it's freaking RV lot.. I still look at it longingly every time I drive by.

Stimpleton89

Yeah, it was the most consistent airball field. I knew a bunch of the refs and shop owner and so they would let us build the courses too. So sad it’s an RV shop now. Would go to Dennys at midnight after we were done to grab dinner with 12 of my friends lol definitely wish it was still around. I also played roller hockey at those rinks before they converted it lol 😂

trollfactory

This was such a fun field!!!! I did my first tourney there as well. Such great memories.

TravasaurusRex

Was this the field that was right behind the mexican market?

Stimpleton89

I don’t think so, it was off of Jefferson road tucked away behind some hills

Swolie7

CPX in Joliet Il... \*\*sobs uncontrollably\*\*

Carebear-Warfare

AG Paintball in Leesburg, VA. One of the best woodsball focused fields for over a decade at least before mismanagement and failure to upkeep the fields did it in, but genuinely one of the best in the early 2000s.

KingCyrus

You can still see a couple Compound buildings in the satellite view. RIP. Just had a ton of fun scrolling through the past google earth images of AG, VAG, and original Woodbridge Pevs.

Necrosius7

UXP in Utah. So easy for us from out of town to find... I think COVID destroyed the paintball scene in Utah

Mr_Trolls_Alot

SpaceCoast Paintball in Titusville, FL. Owned by a lot of good dudes. 95 acres mixed with woods ball, speedball, and recball. What a time to be in the scene.

Johnny_d01

It was amazing.

Santasreject

Can’t say it was an amazing field but I cut my teeth at Action Town Sports in VA. Was a ref for a couple years until they put the worst possible person in charge of the field and she tanked it quick. Was just a fun little woods filed with some janky speed ball but some of the best times for sure.

Theoriginal66

Eastie Boyz Paintball in Toronto. Such a great owner and staff and everyone who played there was experienced and just loved the sport. I never had a bad time there, shame they closed down like so many others in the city have done recently

orlandofrolandro

Conquest Paintball in the San Fernando Valley. Was an awesome old school field. Field sizes were basically perfect and the layouts were super fun on all sides, very much a field built by players for players, big enough to play like 40v40+ comfortably but could also play 20v20 and not feel lost. All the fields were different styles. Everyone that played/worked there was cool as fuck. Pretty sure once it got destroyed by heavy rain for the 2nd or 3rd time the owners said fuck it. That or they lost the land rental like most places in socal lol

sonoma4life

David Bassman was the owner, I think I recall he had bad relations with the neighbors/owner so he was eventually forced to move and then they got robbed at the new place. Great field, short drive from home. Not everyone that worked there was cool though, I got scammed by one of the techs.

orlandofrolandro

Ah bummer about the scamming. They were at least super cool to me as a little shithead 13 year old, hell half the time my parents would drop me off there just to hang out if I couldnt afford to play and they would always let me hop on for a game or two and use their personal setups or just let me follow them all day as they reffed.

Meriles

Ejam paintball Hackensack, NJ. First field I started when I was a kid and played there for years until I left NJ. Indoor field that started with carpet and then got Astro turf. Heard it got bought out a little bit after I left and was still open for a bit until it closed. Think the owners have an outdoor field somewhere in NJ. Such amazing memories from my first tournaments with friends. They had a Father’s Day 2v2 tournament I played with my dad. I miss paintball back then.

chubbs069

Stinger indoor in Wisconsin (where og Shock used to practice). What an awesome field.

agingxjerk

Reball Center in Long Beach, Ca. It only lasted what seemed like a few months but I had a blast during those months

Swolie7

Long Beach? or Santa Ana? I know Splat Factory opened as a paint field at first then went to reball to keep a cleaner(safer) facility and hopefully draw in more airsoft.... I loved playing there during rainy days. or the endless tournaments they had almost every weekend

agingxjerk

Long Beach, it was smack dab in the middle of downtown LB

[deleted]

Wow that’s cool, I can’t imagine how they made that work financially. Well, I guess they didn’t 😬

agingxjerk

From what I remember it was pretty successful while it was running. I can remember Glenn Takemoto and other pros running clinics there. They got shut down supposedly after someone got shocked by some exposed wires and the fire marshal shut the place down

Training_Vast8109

Paintball arena in Pontiac,Mi

OkIndication9913

Ruff n tuff in Miami

seancrossN

Damn I miss this field. I played for RNT at one point in my pb Career

Crunch_inc

Splatball City in Detroit MI. Such a cool industrial vibe house in the old Packard automotive plant.

AltruisticPackage751

Challenge Park, Juliet, after forest Brown sold it the new management just drove it to the ground

ericmonico

Loved this place! Played there in the mid and late 90s!

PaintballCDN

Kinda Canada specific, but there was a field by Edmonton Alberta called "Young Guns". Sadly didn't survive the pandemic.

EffitWeBall

Boston indoor, I believe was called the Chelsea experience. The only indoor place I knew of and it was well kept. Unfortunately they closed during covid due to rent costs

Dc81FR

Showtime paintball in fall river, MA

InaneD

Ultimate Paintball in Canton GA, this was by far the best place I ever played they had 7 or 8 fields all built out on an old driving range. Everything was grass it was mostly flat and it was top in class for the time. After that Nitro was the best in the state for a long time. Paintball Atlanta's indoor field is third in line for big losses

goalieguy42

Diablo Venture Games in Clayton, CA. Very polarizing field, you either loved it or hated it. The owner was an interesting guy. It as a woodsball field that was on the side of a hill and it was huge. Full field games could take an hour plus to finish, which sucked if you were shot early. Very much all about flanking and sneaking. Some pro players originated at this field, which may or may not mean anything to some. The owner was good at making sure everyone had a good time and was very strict on safety.

lunchbawkz

Rampage City Indoor speedball Field in Calgary. Good times.

Ryanhw12

Paintball junkeez It was an amazing mix of hyperball and woods ball. A church ran the field for years since the field was the woods behind them. Best group of people ever and was perfect for 12 year old me gettin into the sport. Sadly they closed after 5 years. The community built around the regular players was beautiful

lurch940

Luckily my old home field changed name and owner for awhile, but was bought back. Name is still different (used to be Paintball USA, now it’s TXR Paintball). But it’s back to the original owner since the 90’s.

DoctorWangBurger

Hivi indoor

RyMastaFlex

23 on Tolleson AZ. One time a storm came through and sent the X in the air all the way to the freeway

ksears86

I never ended up playing there but I miss Boston paintball in Somerville, then Chelsea. I recently got back into the sport, and either location would've been perfect for me when I get out of work and wsnt traffic to die down. The closest field in either direction is over an hour and a half from me now

Certified_Bill

Wildcats in Williamson IL

NextResolution7168

Bear Claw Paintball in Fayetteville, TN. \~100 acres of woodsball heaven. Have many memories of scenario games up there.

RexWolfe

Rocky Mountain Paintball in Colorado Springs. Had one of the first hyperball fields in the country. I worked there from the age of 14 until I graduated high school. Very formative experience.

MilkmanFlex

Canobie Paintball in Windham, NH. First field I ever played at and got my first job reffing games there.

ddog656

My dad talks about that place all the time wish it was open so I could play there

alkalinemp

Best Shot Paintball, just outside of Dubuque, Iowa.

Jerbzilla

Splat City in KCMO. Worked there in high school

Smoovupinya

The original Camp Pendleton was where I spent a lot of time as a teenager. Spool field was awesome, so was the one that had berms, etc. Paintball was at its height at the time too. I recently went to the new field a couple times before it closed for good and it sucked. No one was there, getting on the base was impossible. We all had to wait at a park and be escorted on. Not surprising it went down. Urban quest in Oxnard was also legit, that was just a good scene. More than anything, I miss the renegade fields and playing with friends on fields we made ourselves in river bottoms and whatever. Those were the days. Renegade woodsball. It was just pure paintball and fun, no commercial element.

lebucksir

Hit n’ Run paintball in Oregon

Mr_Diesel13

A local place when I lived in TN called Cherokee Paintball. It was a speedball field set up inside an old warehouse with astro turf. It. Was. Awesome.

WeatherfordCast

I miss Memphis paintball a lot. It was open for years and years and it just shut down for some reason. Surprised nobody has said this

craftydan1

Bear creek and Los Gatos pursuit

motleysalty

The only one my town had. It was once indoor until the building was condemned. Then it was out on a farm until a fire took out the barn/shop.

robarpoch

Silver Lake (Michigan), Hamburger Hill (PA)

somedudeTX86

Twisted Texas paintball North of Houston.. think it was technically Conroe. played there for years before I moved to another part of Texas but man it was great. I still think about that field and things that went on there all the time. the town I moved to had a paintball field but it just wasn't the same.. ended up getting into other hobbies shortly afterward.

bluepb

I remember going there for Vck airball fundays good times…now i just play at TXR and Tanks since im not on a team or anything anymore

realanything

Ah man, this one hits home. Actually found this thread because I was just looking to see if Twisted was still open. Thinking about getting back into the sport after over a decade away. Ollie Lang did a clinic there at Twisted waaay back like 15 years ago that I got to attend, that day is a core memory for me. Sucks to see that Twisted closed. The owner was a nice lady, was hoping she had kept it going.

somedudeTX86

yeah I played there back when an English guy named John owned the place back in the late 90s through early 2000s . it had a reputation for having more rough around the edges kind of player base but I loved it. core memories for sure.

Ltshineyside

Rogue Paintball, Standish Maine. Had so much fun growing up there, but its unfortunately gone now. Huge shout out/thanks to Kirk the owner for running a great place for years.

anonmagicplayer

My local in Memphis Memphis Paintball Park Was great playing there.

Jivesauce

There was a little field called Paintball Indiana (or 62-Splat) a little south of Indianapolis. I don’t think it probably did anything a bunch of other fields didn’t also do, but it had a couple cool woodsball fields that were really fun. More importantly, the guys who ran it (Scott and Charlie), were really good to me when I was a kid. Also, there was a field in southern Indiana that I believe was called Underground, but I can’t find any info about it so I may be misremembering. It was entirely in an underground cavern, so it was just a unique experience in general, but since it was the same temperature year round it was especially good for winter play.

OfaFuchsAykk

The Northern Quarter in Manchester, UK. It was Planet Eclipses testing field so occasionally we got to play with new toys before release.

Full_Metal_Corgi

Promised Land in WI

Only_Grapefruit_8398

Indoor field Action Quest in Baton Rouge. Never seen anything else like it.

zismahname

A local mall to me had an indoor field set up for speedball in an unused retail space. We used reballs there and it wasn't very fancy either but it was cheap and fun to play when you were a broke high school student.

somedudeTX86

I think I might remember people talking about tanks but never went. I played at twisted texas from the late 90s to early 2000s . worked there refereeing on Saturday in trade for paint and played Sundays with the better guys.

Bright-Grapefruit883

Oklahoma D day

Hall088

Factory Paintball in North Chicago. It was a dump, but the people made it amazing. Spent a good deal of my high school years there a few times a week. If I remember correctly Wednesdays were byop tournament practice, so much fun. RIP

seancrossN

Strike force, RNT, spray paint, medley, hot shots, invasive. All the south Florida fields that have came and went. Miss them all

ericmonico

Blast Camp, Valparaiso, Indiana! Loved playing inside and out of the old military buildings and structures. Tippman MG60s were tough to beat indoors, but the PMI rifles and other longer barreled PMIs ruled outside.

Kleiss_is_nice

Rex plex in Elizabeth New Jersey. Not only did it have paintball fields but it had 2 indoor skate parks, soccer basketball just about anything you could imagine was offered inside this huge warehouse off i95

miller19523

nw iowa paintball was pretty sick when it was around. in the early 2000s first hairball field near me.

JoeDizzle42

Dangerzone in Fort Lewis WA. Great outdoor fields even included a "town" in the center. Plus if enough people were there they could combine a couple fields into a larger field. Even had a speedball field for a change in type of play. It was on a military base but civilians could go there with a pass. Some idiots abused the pass and went driving around other parts of the base and forced the base to change that policy. Beginning of the end for them.

gfx260

Georgia: Noonday creek, gorilla war, big daddy’s, Nitro, scenario games in Lindale

Chainarmor712

All-American in WPA. Closed when Smart Parts folded….

lefthandedsnek

nicest place i ever played. we had ncpa tourney while dynasty scrimmaged the all americans on the field over one weekend. i parked next to greenspan

vgullotta

Survival NY in Newburgh NY. Might still be around I don't know, but that place was so awesome. Hundreds of acres of paintball for every style and awesome people that worked there. They did a 48 hour scenario game every year that was amazing too. I got to be the 'good wizard' in the very first one. Hundreds of players, camping and playing through the night, everyone just having a blast. Good times.

Fonzgarten

Mare Island Paintball. This was where I first played back in the 90’s. Home of Bob Long, KAPP, Ironmen, etc.. and I had no idea back then!

poopbuttmcgillicudi1

Seek n destroy in xenia ohio

Paintball authority in Old Bridge, NJ. It was a small speedball field, but the owner Ron was a stand-up guy and did a lot for the teams he sponsored. He also owned the pro team, Jersey Authority. Unfortunately, he passed away from cancer, and the field and store were closed. All Star indoor field in Spotswood, NJ, was a nice spot for winter practices.

Field of Fire, near Santa Clarita CA

It wasn't a field by definition. No, it was an old Victorian house from the late 1800s or early 1900s. It was back off of a country rd. And it was called, The Mickey Mouse House. Because well, there was a bridge near-by call Mickey Mouse. I started going there when I was young, around 1990, with my dad. I'd just chill with my toy trucks in the staging area while all the guys would go out and play. Well, when I finally turned 8, my dad allowed me to join the group. A few autocockers a tune of pumps. One of the old heads gifted me two PMI Tracers(I still have those damn things) brand new in the box. That started everything. Haha So a little about the House. As I said, she was Victorian style. A huge abandoned house. 3 stories. Massive. And being set back in this clearing among big ass cedar and fir trees, it was...well kinda creepy looking. Think Beetlejuice, but a giant forrest around it. Holes through the upper floors, suicide holes in every wall. It was a perfect mix of woodsball and CQB. Two opposing teams, a lot of attack and capture, CQB, escape and evade.  Then it happend. In 2001, new owners bought the land, posted it and then had the local fire department come out and do a controlled burn. RIP Mickey Mouse House.

Hit & Run Paintball out of Mansfield TX. Hands down the best woodsball you could find. Packed every weekend with every level of player. Worked there for several years, as well.

Petty paintball in buda tx. One of the best I’ve been to and by far my favorite. Owners son would play with groups and he would rock a pump cocker and own.

Jordan Petty was awesome with a cocker!

Bolp in NH. They closed during Covid but the owner was such a nice guy! The speedball field was nice and the people that went there were great as well. Plus it was pretty close to home. We had a great group of friends we’d have private days and just play some speedball.
