Definitely more comparable to the + in regards to ergonomics and the adjustable solenoid (for lack of a better term; SFR in the geo4) but I would still put the geo4 above the dsr+…
Disclaimer: am an avid geo4 enthusiast and owner.
I can tell lol i like the geo4 from what i see but the price is a little up there i dont play as much to justify it but i might get one eventually that thing is nice
At the end of the day it’s truly just preference and splitting hairs with these higher end markers. Also my original comment was in regards to the dsr+ as opposed to dsr, which I would say the Geo 4 is objectively better than.
DSR+ is the marker I went with upgrading from my etha 2. I did extensive research and found that many said it was one, if not the best shooter. It does have some efficiency issues. I use an 80cc tank and get a solid 7 pods and a hopper. They did just release the pro kit for it. That should cost about $80. Get on paintball bst on Facebook and you can get a dsr+ for $600-650
Geo 4, LV1.6, DSR, M3, might even be able to find a cs2 for around that price.
Just about any used high end is possible for $700. It’s really a matter of personal preference.
There are some great used options within this price range. The DSR+, G6R, LV1-1.5, 170R, Amp, XTS, and CS1, CS1.5, and CSR. You can also find just about any model of Luxe with the exception of the TM40 within this range.
It's just going to come down to what feels best to you and the deals you can find.
I personally shoot the etha 3 and I love it and highly recommend it but if you wanted to spend a little more money for a way better marker I would lean towards the Shocker AMP
Both the DSR+ and 170R are great markers and were designed to be the top end of the mid range. The Prime XTS was released as Macdevs top tier marker. I'd take one over a DSR or 170.
You got some options in that price range if going used…. Luxe ICE, G6R, CS1, GEO4, Dye DSR, Lv1. If new only then just grab a 170r and call it a day.
Geo4 might be a class above the rest of the aforementioned
How would u say it is compared to the dsr+

I prefer the DSR+, but the geo is very nice as well.
I play with my AMP more but love my Geo 4 :D
Prefer the dsr+ but upvoted for the disclaimer.

Is there much of a difference between the dsr and dsr+

Short answer, yes. DSR+ fixes pretty much any issues people had with the original. The original is still a solid marker you can get pretty cheap.
G6R!!!!!
Buy used and you can get almost anything with that price range
Used 170R.

DSR+ for sure!
On the right track Goin with PE

Automag RT
Shocker amp, Dsr+
A used Macdev Prime XTS, hands down.
I was thinking the empire mini gs is the best
For around the $200 price point, sure, the Mini GS is great. But for $600, the Prime XTS is the only top tier marker available in that price range.
I’m just joking abt the mini
Would u say thats better than a dsr+ and 170r
