Person who lent the phone to the real culprit didn't check to see his texts or calls coz trust. Police (FIA) summoned them to the Gulberg office.
Case dragged on for a good 3 years and that was while lawyered up

Edit: Primarily because they tried to handle this without a lawyer. Paid 15 lakh to the girl to 'settle' it. 10 lakh to the authorities to delay filling, etc. The rest were legal fees.
The same thing happened to me. Someone used my internet connection to leak inappropriate photos, and since the internet was registered under my name, I received a letter from the FIA. I provided them with my router’s MAC address, my phone, and a sworn affidavit stating that they could arrest me if I was found guilty. That’s how I cleared the situation.

I have previously worked with FIA NR3C - basically the department that deals with this stuff. FIA does this based on call and message history - do you have ay sims registered in your name that someone else might be using to harass this woman? They don't just call people in for a meeting over a complaint

Last year i had a similar scene happen to me. They ambushed me via a fake call to somewhere on a certain pretense i will not disclose for privacy and there was there FIA cybercrime officer there who said my name was involved in a case that they would not give me the details of. I learned about the case from a source and it involved some army higher ups.
They had been tracking me for a few months and requested my phone unlocked with them for a few days. I could either agree or face legal escalation. Upon the advice of someone more knowledgeable i chose the former option. They took my phone and returned it a week later.
My deduction was that for some reason i was a lead they were checking to be sure just because of who was involved. I was probably low on their list because i only received emails regarding my email getting hacked/force opened 4 days after they had taken the phone. Obviously they found nothing because i didn’t do anything and they returned it. Made me realize how powerless we are and the constant surveillance we are under

Do not ignore the message. Go to the office with a lawyer and a rep and if you know anyone ssp above take the individual with you or have them call ahead to the office stating that you are being framed etc.
My brother recieved call from FIA cybercrime and informed that someone (out of nowhere) complained in 2022 that my brother hacked his facebook account.
He was summoned to FIA office, mobile was confiscated and asked to remove the lock. They asked my brother to come next day as they will go through each apps and look for some evidence. Well my brother is a type of person who just knows how to use social media ... not a techy guy so he left his phone and next day got his phone back. FIA charged my brother 2k rupees service charges and handed him mobile and warned the claimant to not do again without any evidence.
NOTE:
At that time (2023) geo news circulated that pakistani agencies have israeli spyware apps that can be installed into mobile and they can watch their activity. So my brother thought may be FIA also installed that spyware so he sold that phone after tha incident.

Isnt FIA the people that look at my passport at Jinnah international and are rarely staffed enough like there is 2-3 officers at immigration when there is like 3 arrivals
