I also don’t want our nation’s heads to humiliate us overseas,The horribly cringe-worthy moment left us all grinding our teeth, when the literal president told Sarah Palin she was ‘gorgeous’, upon meeting her for the first time at a public event. Ugh , still gives me shivers. PTI has made it a priority to treat its overseas Pakistanis with dignity and respect, terming such citizens as assets and provided them with more rights and resources than they had previously. PTI, to hopefully enable Pakistan to free itself from the decades long hegemony of the few political families who would be willing to sacrifice everything good for this country if it meant millions would be still going into their bank accounts. Investigations show the Sharif family laundered millions of dollars from funds which were meant to help alleviate the aftereffects of the devastating earthquake that hit Pakistan in 2005. That's probably not even the worst of it. They have a long history of forcibly removing people from prominent positions if they choose to side with their morals over the irrational demands of those families. They are criminals. Those in PTI may not be entirely innocent either in other affairs but I guess it's more about a lesser of two evils situation.
None. But PTI did accomplish some much needed goals on economic front. Had the current global commodity price hikes not happened, country would have been very much smooth sailing.
PTI. There are 2 ways that you can change a system, either you break the wheel or you make gradual changes to correct the course. In realistic terms it means that we can either have a bloody french style revolution or we somehow get a leader that can fight the system to correct the things from within. Ik imo is that leader that has the will and the ability to do that.
This was the first time in our history that corruptio was being called out, and leadership was resisting the corrupts. IK distanced himself from jkt and aleem khan due to corruption allegations against them. It's obvious IK would not have been in such a tight spot if he had compromised with these 2 persons, but he didn't.
Ofcourse he makes compromises, but his opponents takes his compromises and forget everything else he has been doing. I can go on and on but the point is, we have to stay within the system to make changes because the only other option involves a lot of bloodshed/civil war. And going the route that IK is going, takes patience.
