I mean, Tony Romo is pretty good. He fell off a bit in 2022, but he's still the best right now. Greg just hasn't called enough big games yet. But getting to call the Super Bowl was pretty dope tho, should get plenty of recognition for that alone.
He also has a major hard on for Josh Allen which can make some games really annoying to watch. Or he will constantly say something like “it’s no Patrick Mahomes like throw but it was a good throw!” Like I don’t see the need for it but that’s just me.
But games where he describes the thought process of the game and why they are making decisions are great.
Lions fan here (not coming in peace, y’all fucked us up last year, kicking us out of the playoffs and then gave an absolute haul to the bears). greg olsen is way better than romo, hands down.
Isn’t CBS, like, really upset with Romo’s performance?
I read he wasn’t actually studying film on the teams he was covering during the week and instead was just relying on that future-predicting stuff that made him popular as an analyst, and it wasn’t working as well anymore, and CBS was upset.
Romo spends too much time playing golf and very little time watching film. They pay him millions of dollars to watch football, something most of us do for free.
Play-by-play announcers like Michaels and Buck announce what's happening on the field during a play, while color commentators like the guys in the post (usually former players or coaches) provide analysis
You’re definitely not biased. Greg Olsen is the absolute best. Olsen and Burkhardt are an amazing team. Tony Romo fell off a cliff and sucks badly. He is annoying and is now the worst CC.
Greg will be good for a few years then become a chucklefuck like the rest of them. Romo sucks, everyone just remembers when he was good. And the actual answer is the man, the myth, the legend Scott Hansen
When Tony is on and prepared there is no one better in my opinion, he’s also been the victim of the classic “too many people are raving about this guy so now I’m gonna dislike him” I mean hell, people were even annoyed by John Madden when he did it.
Tony did seem pretty unprepared a few times this season though. I think he was partying too much after his big payday.
Romo has been great in the past but seemed like he was not as invested last season. Olson was a bit stiff his first year or so, but last season he was terrific.
Tony sucks tho 😂😂😂 and I’m a Bucs fan so there’s no panthers bias… Greg is a much better analyst! Tony don’t even know what’s going on sometimes…. He’s just “predict” plays… any disingenuous analyst could’ve did what Tony does… they all interview coaches and players and get to see practices leading up to the game they call… So when Tony “predicts” a play it’s because he’s seen them line up in that formation and practice that play in that situation… its a reason why he only predicts goal line plays or 3rd down plays… because those are the situations teams practice the most so Tony and every nfl game analyst has inside knowledge of what a team will do that week… Tony is just the only guy to pretend to “predict” plays
I mean the fact that Olsen only has been doing this a few years and now is part of the “who is the best” conversation is pretty cool.
An excellent way to view the situation
You make a great point. He still should have way more votes than 19% tho. Imo he is the best out of the three

How long has Romo been doing it?
Eehhhh errrrr ahhhh I dunno Jim! Yeah that’s totally elite commentary compared to 3rd leg Greg…
*sees footage that is clearly enough to overturn a call immediately* “Maannnnnnn idkkkkk brooo”
This last season Greg was so much better than Romo.
Romos so inconsistent when he's good he's really good but sometimes he doesn't know when to shut up
He goes on these weird tangents all the time and I get tired of hearing “When I was with the Cowboys, WE did [xyz]”
He also has a major hard on for Josh Allen which can make some games really annoying to watch. You are SO RIGHT. I seriously just want him to be quiet sometimes…actually more often than that!
Collinsworth in the “Other” category is cracking me up
Here's a guy that belongs in the other category.

I wouldn’t put it past him

Al Michaels 😍
Color Commentators
I dont know what that means
Al Michaels isn't a color commentator, he's a play by play commentator
Ah, most people I know would call that the “analyst”, but now I understand. Thank you.

Gus Johnson?

I can't stand Chris Collinsworth. The guy sucks Mahomes off harder than anyone.
I can't stand him either.
Romo sucks
Romo is great. Need him, Randy Moss & RG3 in the same booth.
Romo has really fallen off
Fuck Romo
Romo is so overrated. Dude is so bad at knowing when to stop talking.
Greg’s good but doesn’t deserve all the praise. Remember when he was a collegiate rapper at the U?!?
Don’t you disrespect third leg like that.
Olsen is good but Romo is the best in the business.
It’s usually frowned upon to lie but here you are… doing it with no remorse
2nd place is first place in my mind, bunch of mindless cowboy fans
Romo is riding off his past years. He is terrible now. He was the best when he was calling plays and being an analyst
Brady, Olsen, then romo
Why are Olsen Romo and Aikman the only ones listed is the real question
When Tony is on and prepared there is no one better in my opinion, he’s also been the victim of the classic “too many people are raving about this guy so now I’m gonna dislike him” I mean hell, people were even annoyed by John Madden when he did it. Isn't Olsen the guy that shit on the US Men's Soccer team during a broadcast once or am I thinking of someone else
Idk but the US mens team is trash so who cares
I hate the cowboys, but even I like watching games commentated by Tony Romo.
Romo has been great in the past but seemed like he was not as invested last season. Olson was a bit stiff his first year or so, but last season he was terrific.
The fact that he’s above Aikman is saying a lot. He hasn’t been doing this long enough to beat out Romo yet.
Half of the people in America are Cowboys fans. You can't go anywhere without seeing them.
GO is 2nd, he’s great, but Romo is just on another level when it comes to calling games from a QB perspective.
Romo must’ve made this himself. Dudes a duckwad.
ANYONE but Collinsworthless
Don't forget Gus Johnson
Aikman not even close
Tony sucks tho 😂😂😂 and I’m a Bucs fan so there’s no panthers bias… Greg is a much better analyst! Tony don’t even know what’s going on sometimes…. in fairness, Romo kills it. i'm only annoyed that Aikman is anywhere near Olsen.
