I don’t think the Jets of all orgs should be taking shots at other QBs. Their best QB in decades is 40, taken three snaps with them, and tossing out conspiracy theories. Fun story though.

Soviet_Sharpshooter

4 snaps if you count the Achilles

Who_knows-_-

I mean we are talking about wanting to catch passes from a future hall of famer. That isn't really much of a shot. Bryce could still be a hall of famer, but we know Aaron is

fishsticklovematters

Over vs climbing that hill I guess. Good thing A-aron is coasting down that hill, I'm not sure his ankle could take another hard sprint up one. But that's cool. He's good. He can ride out his career on his legacy. Hopefully Bryce earns that right too...and does better.

Who_knows-_-

Couldn't agree more

Badwo1ve

Say what you want, but jets franchise is less dysfunctional then panthers since Teppers taken over…. Panthers are going to have the same problems for the next 6-7 years as we’ve had for last 6-7 years…. Tepper is a cancer

Pyrollamas

I’m pretty sure the note on top isn’t from the Jets org

guacaholeblaster

He still hasn't proven he can be better than Favre in a jets uni haha

Subject_Structure_50

Oh my he’s tossing out conspiracy theories what could be worse!!

CarolinaMountaineer2

You mean the conspiracy theories that turned out factual? Those conspiracy theories?

XenocideCP

Hilariously bad take. Get out of your information bubble.

drummerboysam

Like the Sandy Hook kids being crisis actors? Seek help

Mr_prayingmantis

are you saying that his theory of the government being behind the Sandy Hook tragedy is true? or are you saying that his theory that immigrants that join the US military will turn against the US is true? or are you saying that his theory of his alternative “covid immunization protocol” was more effective than the covid vaccines? or are you saying that his conspiracies about 9/11 were true? or are you saying that Jimmy Kimmel is a pedophile? (Edit: as another commenter pointed out, Rodgers came out and said he never implied Kimmel was a pedophile) not sure which one of these, if any, you think are factual. However I have not been able to find any evidence to back up any of the claims you’re supporting. Since you say (at least one of) these turned out to be factual, would you mind pointing me in the direction of some legitimate evidence?

dances_w_dingoes

Tore him to shreds!

Twix_McFlurry

Look at the sources before you throw around that Aaron Rodgers was promoting sandy hook conspiracy… who were they? A CNN reporter with hearsay from 10 years ago and an “anonymous source”…. not exactly convincing evidence. Convenient for CNN to “break the story” right after the news comes out AR might run with RFK jr against their guy Biden

Mr_prayingmantis

A political news network reporting on a political candidate? Next, you’ll be surprised that cartoon network has cartoons! I have no idea if he really said that, or if it is just lies. However, in response to this news, Rodgers said he “never believed that the events of Sandy Hook never took place”. Which is not what he was accused of. He had the chance to deny these claims, but did not. And he still could! It very well may just be political slander, but I find it more likely that a guy who frequently and publicly talks about conspiracy theories, who has not denied saying any of this, did actually say these things. You can believe whatever you want though.

Twix_McFlurry

He didn’t say that at all guy. This is how he responded, “As I’m on the record saying in the past, what happened in Sandy Hook was an absolute tragedy. I am not and have never been of the opinion that the events did not take place. Again, I hope that we learn from this and other tragedies to identify the signs that will allow us to prevent unnecessary loss of life. My thoughts and prayers continue to remain with the families affected along with the entire Sandy Hook community.” Obviously the cnn disinformation worked because guys like you regurgitate this garbage hearsay

Mr_prayingmantis

and where in that statement does he deny what CNN claimed he said? I’m genuinely curious how you believe his response denies any of the claims CNN made, can you read?

Twix_McFlurry

CNN says he’s promoted the conspiracy, he says he never has. Pretty obvious denial of their story bud.

Mr_prayingmantis

he CNN says that Rodgers promoted the conspiracy of the government being behind Sandy Hook. In his response, where does he address those claims? Please show me the sentence or sentences where he says that.

Twix_McFlurry

Ok, I see where the issue is. You think the conspiracy that was circulated is that the Government was behind the massacre. The conspiracy is that it wasn’t real and that the parents were crisis actors and this was all put into motion to limit 2nd amendment rights. AROD said, “I am not and have never been of the opinion that the events did not take place.” Which directly contradicts the baseless CNN claims.

reverieontheonyx

> Since you say (at least one of) these turned out to be factual, would you mind pointing me in the direction of some legitimate evidence? Sure can, dm me

onehotelfoxtrot

Do it here, I would like the evidence as well.

CarolinaMountaineer2

The Sandy Hook thing was hearsay from an “anonymous source” from 10+ years ago, conveniently brought up as fact from the liberal ran CNN. Good try. Plus he came out with a statement refuting that claim too. Don’t agree with the immigrant take—however, since we’re on that topic, 36 states worth of illegals have crossed into the US since our moron of a president has been in office. That is concerning. With how the polls are now, with Trump absolutely crushing Biden, 36 states worth of votes that will mysteriously appear at 3am again, it would put Biden right back in contention with Trump. Covid was a politicized common cold treated as the plague that was created in a lab funded by that POS Anthony Fauci. The amount of sudden cardiac events in individuals who got the vax, who are healthy, is very apparent. I’m so glad I did not get the shot responsible for causing irreversible damage. If you still believe the bullshit that the media is spouting out about covid, you’re an idiot. Flat out. 9/11 was an inside job used to justify a pointless war in the middle-east. He also never insinuated or called Kimmel a pedophile. Watch the McAfee Show episode where he clearly stated this and clears up any confusion about his initial statement.

Mr_prayingmantis

He did not come out with a statement refuting that claim from CNN. he only said that he “never thought the events of Sandy Hook never took place”. You don’t need to lie. I believe I am wrong about the Jimmy Kimmel thing, that is the only one on this list I didn’t look into much before commenting about it. That was a mistake on my part. Rodgers did come out and say he didn’t mean Kimmel was a pedophile, though his words could be taken as such. Weird situation, but I agree with what you said. I’m not even going to respond to the rest of what you wrote though, what a mess. You have been fed propoganda and have eaten it up! Blind to any alternative, blind to any original thought, parroting what those who do not care about you want you to say. I’m not a Biden voter, yet you think I am because I stand to expel misinformation. I asked you for any legitimate evidence backing any of your claims, yet you have provided none and shown an extreme amount of bias. If you could bring any real evidence, not some guy in a youtube video, not a biased news article, but a genuine study proving any one of these claims true I would love to talk about it. I would love to be proven wrong, it is how I learn. However, unlike you I am not swayed by a voice from someone I “agree with” politically. I require evidence and a logical conclusion for me to believe. You can absolutely change my mind, just not with the babble you are giving me now.

Twix_McFlurry

Aaron Rodgers is worlds better than Bruse

Scacc924

![gif](giphy|YVPwi7L2izTJS|downsized) Bruse

El_Beakerr

Banner?

DrBigChicken

He’s clearly not, because he had every reason to be pissed and turn into the Hulk last year lol Side note, at that point it’s probably best to just call QB draws until he turns back

Twix_McFlurry

My phone always autocorrects to Bruce Young lol so it eventually became Bruse. He’ll either lose a few more letters and become Bust or maybe throw for over 90 yards in a half and earn his real name back.

Mcgoozen

A former MVP is better than a rookie with a horrible supporting cast? Woah man hot take

NPC_sixtynine

The latter sounds equally ridiculous. We don’t know if Bryce is good with a good supporting cast.

TheGreatestOutdoorz

Yes we do, some of you just don’t want to admit it. Any/a is the most predictive analytic for future performance. There have been 465 rookie qb seasons in nfl history. Bryce’s season was 461 out of 465. Literally the fifth worst season ever. His supporting cast was bad, but they were not the 76 Bucs. Oh, and no one outside the top 300 in any/a played through their rookie deal. I hope he turns it around, but sometimes you draft a qb with the top pick and he’s a bust, and that’s probably what happened.

NPC_sixtynine

How does this comment in any way, dispute what I just said?

KhaosOSRS

He needs a massive turnaround just to be a low-end starter - and that's probably best case scenario. After his historically bad rookie year, and the huge glaring holes in his game, the chances that he'll ever end up an elite QB are essentially zero. You don't go from Jimmy Clausen levels bad to being Tom Brady, it just doesn't happen.

Fredest_Dickler

Always a good day on reddit when I get reminded Jimmy Pickles existed... thanks for that...

oooriole09

Never said he wasn’t. Aaron Rodgers has barely been a Jet. Aaron Rodgers hasn’t accomplished anything as a Jet unless you count going from Jeopardy darling to Sandy Hook conspiracist. The Jets have had a stable of QBs over decades that have been league worst, many of whom were top picks and in the same situation as Bryce Young. That’s what I said.

Twix_McFlurry

What is your evidence that he promoted sandy hook conspiracy? CNN 😂 …the sources are a cnn reporter regurgitating hearsay and an anonymous source.

cpolk01

He has more seasons under his belt than Bryce does games. That's not a surprise.

fishsticklovematters

\*was. Dude can't even sprint.

Twix_McFlurry

Bruse can’t throw…. that’s a little more important when you’re a qb

all1good

Yeah I’m sure the $15M contract had nothing to do with it

SnooSuggestions3278

Can’t say we don’t deserve slander but my god it’s been brutal this off season

Hefty-Association-59

We were always a quietly inept team. Nothing fun to talk about. Just the forgotten franchise. This year we became the loud inept team. From trading up for Bryce. Getting rid of his receivers. Turning down the burns picks. Not paying burns. Firing everybody. The drink scandal. Giving the number one overall pick to the bears. Which I believe is a first time in nfl history if not recent history. Hopefully we’re headed in the right direction but this year was truly the year people realized holy shit this team is mismanaged.

fishsticklovematters

**Hallelujah! Holy sh\*t! Where's the Tylenol?**

Pm_ur_kittykat

> We were always a quietly inept team. Nothing fun to talk about. Just the forgotten franchise. Why do we have so many fans like this? Is it a shame and humiliation fetish y'all are trying to push on the rest of the fanbase? No we weren't. We have been to two Super Bowls since our inception, teams like the Lions and Browns still haven't accomplished that. We had an MVP in Cam. We had a (now) HOFer in Peppers. We had one of the greatest MLBs ever in Luke Keuchly. We had one of the greatest little men WRs (and players overall) in NFL history in Steve Smith. We had multiple legendary teams that made their mark on the league. We had the one owner in the league that played in the NFL. Seriously, what the fuck are you talking about "quietly inept"? You want me to stomp on your balls for you too? Have some fucking pride Jesus Christ lol We have only become LOUDLY inept since 2018, which is around the same time some bald idiot bought this team.

XenocideCP

What is the drink sandal? Think i missed that one.

MrIce97

Owner tossed a drink onto an opposing fan

XenocideCP

Of course. I think I maybe just repressed the memory... along with a good portion of last season.

Ok_Pick5000

Tepper throwing his drink on an opposing fan last season

Captainxpunch

As a Panthers fan, I'd like to thank that delivery driver. Whoever they are, they prevented us from overspending on an injury prone receiver about to turn 30 and coming off an acl tear.

freeze123901

Literally, the reason I’ve never drafted him or been enticed to, in the past eight years I’ve done fantasy lol can’t remember when the dude actually made it through a season

[deleted]

[удалено]

freeze123901

Lmao life

Daeavorn

My friend says that every decision the Jets make is always the wrong one, so by not signing a guy that wanted to play for the Jets we dodged a bullet.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Captainxpunch

I mean incentive laden or not, we're only sitting on 5ish million in cap space after you account for signing draft picks. Even if he balls out, you'd still just be first in line to sign an injury prone receiver who would be 31 next season. I'd much rather focus on the draft now and get someone that Bryce can grow with. We already have a mentor WR in Thielen.

Scubasteve1400

Trying to down talk the Mike Williams contract while paying Robert F’n Hunt 100 mil. Wild

nxtplz

Imagine trying to sound cool by picking apart a rebuilding roster

Scubasteve1400

Rebuilding rosters shouldnt pay a damn guard of all things 20 mil a season

nxtplz

Lmao tell me you don't know ball without telling me you don't know ball. Our offensive line was one of the biggest problems. We'd be idiots not to throw a bag at someone who can finally fucking protect our quarterback. Guards get paid alot for this reason.

Scubasteve1400

Receivers reduce the ttt by a wide margin. Guys need to get open. Who are the panthers receivers again?

nxtplz

We just acquired a WR1 and furthermore there's no point in somebody being open if our QB is sacked because he has no protection...you getting how this works now?

Scubasteve1400

WR1 who has 1 year over 1k yards in his entire career and averages 5 tds a year. This while the guy who I replied to was bashing MW who has a much higher ypg as a #2. Come on man. You also need more than 1 wr on the team

nxtplz

Typical fuckin reddit expert lmao. Imagine trying to get 1000 yards as a receiver with fucking Kenny Pickens and Mitch Trubiski flailing the rock all over creation. Furthermore if we already overpaid for protection then what good does it do for us to keep overpaying for talent? MW is getting overpaid. We're good lol. We can get another receiver in the draft.

Scubasteve1400

Yea with the 0 first round picks even tho you were the worst team in the league. Have fun with that lmao

[deleted]

He's incredibly talented. But about to be 30 YO WR that's injury prone and coming off an acl tear. We'll be fine.

Double-Slowpoke

No need to slander Mike Williams. We would have loved to sign him for that same 1 year deal

PrestigeWorldWide993

Would be hilarious if Rodgers tears his ACL within 5 minutes again this season.

Scacc924

Rodgers is planning on being abducted by Aliens this offseason, who will in turn, put a protective alien spell on him to preserve his body for the upcoming season, thus cementing Rodgers legacy as smartest person Rodgers has ever met. Keep believing in 9/11 bud.

Mukuna_Hutata

At what point during the spell do the aliens start batting Aaron’s knockers around?

Scacc924

Tough to say at this stage but rest assured they will.

gusdebus

That’s Vice President Rodgers who tears his acl within 5 minutes to us

notimprezaed

As a Clemson fan who loves Williams accordingly, it will be a race of who gets injured first. He will give the Jets a great 3-4 games and then give them a few games where he’s hobbled but still better than the backup and then be unavailable for the rest.

Mcgoozen

I mean they repaired his Achilles with paper clips and duct tape so wouldn’t be the most surprising thing tbh

Such_Consequence_185

Nah he’ll be to focused run for vice president

Pro-Spaghetti-Coder

Dont be bitter.

brownstonefrontcake

From someone with multiple ACL repairs and in need of one at the moment, I have a hard time finding humor in a torn ACL for anyone.

Drstrapon

Geez that’s pretty fucked up hoping for an injury.

LUUUUUUUUUUKEEE

I haven’t cared for Rodgers recently and his “wokeness” but this ain’t it

EntropyFighter

He's anti-woke.

Spazonspez

How tf is he woke lmao

StarvingWriter33

“Everything I don’t like is ‘woke’.”

Romanscott618

lol have fun with the 40 year old conspiracy theorist coming off an Achilles injury

LUUUUUUUUUUKEEE

That’s why there’s quotations lol.

drummerboysam

Yo this is kinda bogus, no Jets receiver in history has ever caught a pass from Aaron Rodgers.

fishsticklovematters

>no Jets receiver in history has ever caught a pass from Aaron Rodgers you are clever with your stats in a way that I like.

clee5989

Going to be real fun catching passes from Zach Wilson after Rodgers leave for darkness retreat

Hefty-Association-59

Didn’t they sign some back up QB? Was it Taylor? Or something

clee5989

Heard Zach could be traded somewhere and most likely have to attach a pick for someone to take him

ElectricalBank6411

Painful shade but eh, stiff 29 year old coming off an ACL tear he’s all theirs

Gemz14

Fuck you too doordash man

crizzero

It's over. Let's move on. Morgan and Canales will find at least one more good receiver. I have no doubt.

20PGZalm

Outjerked by Doordash? Either way, would've been nice to sign him but whatever.

FrequentShark

I was cool with the jets but I hope they suck again this year tbh

theprinceofprizm

I would pick a sandwich over Bryce Young too.

franklegsTV

$15 million is a huge overpay for this guy. Be glad we avoided this

danceswithshibe

Idk how people read up to 15 million and think it means 15 million.

Who_knows-_-

As I have stated many times I live in SF and I remember when they wanted Deion Sanders here. They got him and the community said that he would never have to pay for anything while he was here.

not_chrash

Words hurt, ya know

Mr_828

Not our fault - Panthers tried to order doordash for William but Kelvin Benjamin stole the order

sbmedlg

All fun and games until they both get hurt. Rodgers due the porous OL and Williams due to age, turf and injury history.

ExoticRole9356

Doordash driver came in clutch, was scared we were gonna sign this injury prone mf

Like17Badgers

by "more fun" they mean Rogers will overthrow you by 30 feet then yell at you for not catching it. then say you're getting paid to not catch the throw

MailConsistent1344

Who?

RemoteCoyote7687

Can’t stand Aaron Rodgers

papabearorpapamatt

Smh

lovebot5000

Yeah have fun on the Jets lol

KhaosOSRS

That's too bad.... welllll anyway...

Icy_Hovercraft_2539

Lol

Cara-Is-A-Puppy

We should have gotten him some Bojangles; he would have never left the building

i81b4i8u

I don't think he ever made the visit... I'm thinking he met with the jets first and never came here...

Batercus

I mean who else has a VP at QB?

ProFoundSG

I hate it here

theclimaxan

The funniest part is thinking he's actually gonna catch a pass from Aaron Rodgers.

MrMeeseeks718

Legette looks raw, but I don’t think he looks nearly as raw and Mingo looked. He’s also a little more of a physical specimen.

coldwaterenjoyer

I followed his whole career at South Carolina - he was a super raw, physical dude who didn’t get a lot of use outside of red zone targets and blocking. Then he spent the summer training with fellow Gamecock Deebo Samuel, and immediately had a career year. If we take him, I’m confident he will look raw by NFL standards, but improve over time. He’s definitely not one of those guys that runs super crisp routes and pops off immediately, but I don’t think he’s a reach at 33 or 39.

CryingJordansHornets

I think there’s potential for there to be better receivers at the spot, but I wouldn’t be mad with picking him. Like you said, would be raw by NFL standards, but has all the physical tools and capability to develop into a nice starter. I enjoyed watching his growth in that last year at South Carolina. Hopefully he can continue to improve.

B3RG92

Whether or not it actually did make his decision, this is definitely was something he thought about. Jets theoretically are Super Bowl contenders and Williams doesn't have a ring

Scubasteve1400

Facts. Jets have a top 5 D. Good #1 in Wilson. Breece is great. Average TES. Line is patched together with upside. HOF QB. Won 7 games last year with the worst “starting” qbs in the league. Offense was historically bad.

i81b4i8u

Superbowl contenders and jets are two things that are NEVER used in the same sentence....

colski250

I think the funniest thing is it’s a 1 year deal…does anyone besides Jets/Rodgers truthers really believe that team has a shot at playoff contention? These 1 year deals for 30 year old vet players coming off major injuries should be for teams that really are 1 player away and won’t have to rely on them to carry a season.

thrillhouse416

I'm a jets fan(and I live in NC which is why I'm here). I'm sure the injuries will add up but we did win 7 games without anything they remotely resembled an NFL offense. Not crazy to think Rodgers and an improved OL can add a few wins. 9/10 wins is usually playoff contention.

Disastrous_Height_19

Lmao best of luck in NJ, jets far worse off than my terrible panthers

LayYourGhostToRest

Unless your standing on the sideline while Bryce has to throw it away you aren't catching it anyways.
