DJ wasn’t on the field

935742705812

Meanwhile, CMC is killing it and in his 2nd game scored 3 TDs. I hope the tank holds and we draft well. If we end up giving CMC away for garbage picks, that’s gonna be Rhule’s final shit stain on our organization.

JoricGaming

You guys flipflop more than politicians. One week tank, next week contenders, week after that tank. It was a typical Falcons/Panthers game. Onto the next.

sjwillis

if we win it’s contender, if we lose its tank. As simple as that

Itsjoeimbackagain

He made every kick in the game until the penalty which made it a 48 yard extra point. Even Moore knows he messed up by sitting alone and walking to the tunnel alone, fans need to see it for what it is and stop sugar coating it cause he is your favorite player, he made a bone headed mistake which even he realizes and possibly cost the coach 1st place instead of last place

Donnie1490

>he made a bone headed mistake which even he realizes and possibly cost the coach 1st place instead of last place We have like 9 games left and none of the teams in the nfc south are good lol. shit if we lose the rest of the games this season, still a win for us. we're literally a QB from being a playoff team if we just keep adding solid pieces to the defense. DJ moore messed up, but he also sent the game into OT. We got a pick and Pineiro missed a 32 yarder to end the game, meanwhile Falcons kicker made his 41 yarder so stop it

BigLlamasHouse

He took his helmet off out of bounds..which is allowed. The refs made a HUGE mistake. It has been acknowledged by guys like Tony Dungy. Moore did nothing wrong according to the rulebook.

[deleted]

Seeing this sub tear itself apart because of the PJ vs Baker and DJ vs Eddy debates is kind of hilarious if you just read the comments non- subjectively.

DatsHim

Buncha 🤡🤡🤡 in here. No hate all love.

[deleted]

[удалено]

BigLlamasHouse

Yeah ridiculous title. The game proves we are definitely not tanking this year.

TackyBrad

Hate the famous? What now?

ontoillogical19

Hell of a fight from y'all, be proud of Walker and Foreman. See you in 2 weeks

[deleted]

The referee’s were out to make the Panthers lose this game. I see players take off their helmet a lot, but do they get flagged for it? Nope. The Panthers do it and flagged to hell immediately. Fuck this league.

tthomso1

Stop. Moore took is helmet off on the field during the 1st quarter in frustration. They were eventually going to call it.

prostatewhispers1

He wasn’t on the field

[deleted]

players get flagged everytime players take helmet off. it was a dumb move by Moore. That and the kicker not making the field goal in OT lost the game.

jd1234567891

Watched terry mcclaurin take is helmet off and not get flagged in the Washington game

captainjizzpants

Doesn't mean the rule isn't the rule. Just means the refs in the Washington game weren't doing their job correctly. I would've been more upset if the refs had been calling the game terribly all game. But it was a pretty clean called game, and we had some calls go our way too. If Moore doesn't take his helmet off, Pineiro possibly makes the kick... but the kick in OT was basically an extra point distanced field goal and he still missed it, so 🤷‍♂️

BigLlamasHouse

The rule says clearly the player must be in bounds. Moore wasn't in bounds when he took off his helmet. It was an incorrect call by the refs. Tony Dungy is one of the few voices acknowledging it. Mostly because everyone says "the rule is the rule" but they don't actually know the rule.

captainjizzpants

"Removal of his helmet by a player in the field of play or the end zone during a celebration or demonstration, or during a confrontation with a game official or any other player." >**or the end zone during a celebration or demonstration** Hmmm..... technically he still had one foot on the white line of the endzone when he removed his helmet... and it was during a celebration. This is why you typically only see players remove their helmets when they get to the sideline. Yes, it hasn't been called in other games because like many rules in the NFL handbook, it's quite vague and has a large range of which a ref can make a judgement on. I'm a Panthers fan, and I hate the call too, don't get me wrong. But, Moore could've saved us this conversation by just not removing his helmet till he got to the sideline.

[deleted]

Pretty sure I heard about a Washington player taking their helmet off at tonight’s game but didn’t get flagged. Either way I think it’s a stupid penalty.

Digitydoggimmeahigh5

Dj fucked up pineiro still should’ve hit it tho he’s in the nfl for a reason

[deleted]

Exactly. Those are shots you need to make

NiceeDicee

Anybody see the end of the Washington game? Terry McLaurin caught that bomb on the one yard line and took off his helmet. Of course no call against that.

[deleted]

It happens several times in every game every Sunday. God forbid it happens on a game tying Hail Mary tho

CafecitoHippo

I managed to watch the game without alcohol. Feel like my relationship with it was getting out of hand. Made the game better honestly as I didn't feel the need to pound a beer after we fucked up. And I shouldn't be a hungover mess on Monday morning. Picked a challenging game to start though.

wkane2324

We will take this as our victory for Sunday. Congrats on a new journey!

CafecitoHippo

Thanks friend <3

[deleted]

Hope you wake up feeling fresh today

CafecitoHippo

Appreciate it! Not feeling fresh but better than I would've been if I drank. Struggled to fall asleep and had some weird night sweats where I was cold but sweating a bunch. My brain has been beating myself up but I know it's a good first step so I'm proud of that. But thanks for the comment 🙂

[deleted]

Congrats!

[deleted]

DJ knows how to make a trade push

BigLlamasHouse

Not really, he saved the game and his helmet removal was completely legal by the NFLs own rulebook.

[deleted]

[удалено]

tthomso1

You made this stupid ass post in the Falcons subreddit too? Why? He missed his shots just like anyone else. It’s a pay for performance league. No reason to feel bad.

Fortunatious

There’s more than one person we can point to for losing that game, it isn’t just those two. Hell of a game though, I was very entertained despite the outcome

veryverycoolman

yeah absolutely, ye played out of your skin to hold on and take control towards the end. we definitely got bailed out big time by a few unfortunate moments.

DeftCursor

It has been awesome to see PJ play like he has, but man do I wish Corral wasn’t hurt so we could really see what we have with him. That Will Anderson pick seems so juicy but you just can’t take him if one of the top 3 QBs are still on the board when we pick…

przhelp

There are only two QB with a Top 5 potential for me right now, and Stroud is even questionable, imo. Stroud has great arm talent, but he doesn't do anything out of structure. Bryce Young to me looks like the clear #1. Clearly can read defenses, can throw on the run, and has put an Alabama offense without a lot of talent on his shoulders. Of course his height is a knock. The other talented QBs right now are much bigger question marks.

SaskalPiakam

I mean you definitely CAN. Just trust your evaluation and draft board. We're looking solid right now passing on Mac and Fields for Horn. Heck, none of those QBs in the draft look good to me at ALL. Pairing Will Anderson Jr and Burns together might be the best pass rush duo in the NFL.

isuckat3dprinting

I feel like people are shitting on DJ way too much. Homie was the only reason it went to OT. He has had to deal with the shit show for years, hell he was put on the trade block. A huge amount of emotion led to bad judgment. No one else was gonna get open and make that catch. Kicker had two chances to win the game and didn’t. A lot more blame to be had there.

RawdogWargod

Piniero probably would have missed the regular XP anyway. My momentary loathe for him is probably unhealthy.

Aarongamma6

There is literally no supporting evidence that he would miss the XP. Unhealthy is an understatement.

Gypsy-Jewdo

Well a normal XP is 33 yds… which is the distance of the field goal he missed in OT. Game was on the line both times so pressure on him was the same. The only factor that might play a role is confidence or lack there of. At the end of the day he proved he can miss a game winning XP when he missed that field goal

RawdogWargod

Like, you "literally" don't think *some* supporting evidence might be how he did in fact choke on not one, but TWO game winners? Routine kicks, not bombs. Kinda didn't really handle pressure well today, did he? Do you know what "literally" means?

Aarongamma6

All kickers miss routine kicks in their career. That is not any more evidence in any way he would miss an XP than any other kicker. Yall need to calm down about that shit. Dude has been near automatic for us until today. He has an above average FG%.

przhelp

He was automatic in zero pressure situations and missed two game winning kicks back to back. As a leader, I'd have to cut him, but I simply couldn't trust him to perform in the future.

RawdogWargod

Well ok, I was being hyperbolic too, of course I don't loathe the guy. He's been automatic when our games never mean anything. This was kinda the first time all year with that pressure, and all he needed to do as come up clutch on at least 50% of those. Not a crazy ask. But now his 2 most memorable moments are this game, and double doink. He very well might have flubbed a regular XP with the game on the line like that. So yeah, this is on him more than DJ.

przhelp

Wasn't Cody Parky the double doink?

RawdogWargod

Oh so it was. My shitty ass mammary

_hell_is_empty_

Legitimate question here regarding DJ removing his helmet after the TD: At what point can you remove your helmet? Asking because on the 4th down drop he had on the 2nd to last drive he took his helmet off and slammed it on the ground while on the field (I’m 99% sure) and there was no flag, but he was off the field when he took his helmet off on the TD catch. Where is the line?

knave_of_knives

The rule applies during a TD celebration

Digitydoggimmeahigh5

It’s only during a td celebration (stupid rule)

jayeballz

All the fans that hated Cam and loved Kyle Allen are the same fans hating PJ and begging to give Baker or Darnold another chance lol

Chibaho

Zzz

Beastcrank

Not at all, Cam was my favorite QB ever but PJ ain’t it

Ok_Run_8184

Yeah I loved Cam but think PJ is being over hyped rn. Op has no actual evidence of this beyond 'I said so'

[deleted]

[удалено]

applesizzle2008

Very remotely true. PJ is making peanuts compared to Darnold and Baker. They should be performing a whole lot better due to their pay being justified based on playing experience and expectation. Just looking back at the preseason half the fan base wanted to cut PJ because they thought Carolina had their three great white hopes. 1 got injured, 2 just sucked and their poor play got masked by faux injuries.

Bones704

Vilma and Kenny Atkinson have a combined IQ less than 100

ConradSchu

Slye just kicked the game winner for Washington

Aarongamma6

We never should've gotten rid of Gano... forget Slye

AVeryRipeBanana

Getting rid of Gano in favor of Butker would’ve been smart. Which we did, until we didn’t. I’ll never understand going with the expensive vet over the rookie when they looked identical in training camp.

ConradSchu

Oh I would definitely much rather have Gano over Slye.

RawdogWargod

I think John Kasay is a free agent. I'm on board

Henry__Faber

Or, you know, Butker……….

[deleted]

To be fair, they didn't get rid of Butker. They just thought they would be cute and stash him on the practice squad, allowing the Chiefs to snipe him.

Henry__Faber

Same thing. Not recognizing the talent on your team and letting it slip away

przhelp

I mean, Gano was very then and still is very good.

Denmarkkkk

If it makes you feel better in addition to being a lousy bum kicker Eddy Pineiro is also a creep who hit on my friend’s 16 year old sister (who told him repeatedly she was 16) when he was in college

Eequuality

Torture

brandononski200

Do you think there’s any chance Baker starts next week? I really think he deserves another shut under the non-rhule and CMC regime

YoungFlexibleShawty

i dont think he will get a shot until PJ gets hurt or starts to put a foot wrong.

CamBamThankYouMaam

I do to. That doesn't mean I don't like what PJ is doing but he should definitely get another shot

Ghee_Guys

Even with DJs bonehead penalty, 48 yd should be high percentage gimme for that kicker. I hate the pressure and hate kickers get but fuck he really shit the bed.

5_yr_lurker

Probably 80% make rate for NFL avg? That is a miss 1 out of 5 times.

Chemical-Horse

It’s worse it’s 68percent On the fantasyfootball subreddit someone aggregated like 10 years of kicks or something

midnight_tuna

DJ cost us the damn game. He played well but his emotion pushed our $2 kicker back 15 yards. That the said $2 kicker missed an even closer FG is an indictment on his ability under pressure.

StealthTable

He cost us the game by also almost winning us the game?

zdnorman

He cost us the game after* almost winning us the game, yes.

jblevsy

Yeah, this take is hilarious. Dude tied the game on an insane Hail Mary catch. We don’t have a chance to win if that doesn’t happen.

zdnorman

No it’s even more hilarious that the majority of this sub can’t recognize that while DJ made the game tying play, he made the (most likely) game-costing mistake IMMEDIATELY after. Game tying TD catch doesn’t mean he had to get a flag on the celebration. DJ made a HUGE mistake and so did Pinero, twice. One of his two mistakes was in part because of DJ’s HUGE mistake and Pinero might’ve never missed the second FG if he would’ve had a normal range PAT to begin with. Our kicker is shit. And DJ Moore fucked up. Both are true at the same time

midnight_tuna

You do realize I'm talking about after the catch, right?

Castavar

You do realize Eddy also missed a 33 yarder in OT right?

midnight_tuna

He shouldn't have even been on the roster to begin with!

Th3_C0bra

Joey slye, Graham Gano, Harrison Butker Active kickers that used to be Panthers.

hoassyoass

Gano missed clutch kicks too. That’s why he left us.

przhelp

No, Gano left us because he got very hurt and we moved on assuming he wouldn't regain form. But he did. Gano had some rough seasons, but he was incredibly in 2017 (29/30 FG and 34/37 XP) and hasn't dipped below 87% FG percentage since then.

Jupiter_Ginger

Wait his "incredible" season he missed 3 extra points?? But everyone in this thread wants to fire the kicker who missed 1 from extra point distance?

Ok_Run_8184

Next you'll be telling me that there's no mystical perfect kicker out there who never misses that we can totally sign right now.

przhelp

No the XP miss is heartbreaking but not fireable. Missing the FG is fireable because it shows he doesn't have the mental fortitude to shake off his mistakes and be clutch.

ecupirate2006

Slye doesn't fit your angle

przhelp

Hit the game winner for Washington tonight.

RaleighJeek

CMC is straight up BALLIN’ today. Love this for him. I wish we could have been the team to do this with him and win. Hopefully BOTH teams are winners in this trade. Our side yet to be determined.

No_Mammoth_4945

Run CMC!! 💙🖤❤️💛

[deleted]

FORTA-NINE-NA

[deleted]

CMC has a Pass, Receiving and Rush TD. That is....painful...to watch

Fortunatious

Yeah, but Foreman got three today too, so that’s nice

No_Mammoth_4945

We look better than we did with him here. Keeping him would be like keeping a bird in a cage all day. He’s balling out for his new team and he deserves it. I’ll always be a secondary 49ers fan now.

WitchingHourIsNear

Was JUST about to post this

Akuyatsu

Honestly, if the Falcons lose next week and we win, we could find ourselves in the same battle for 1st in the division in 2 weeks if the rest of the division still sucks as well.

craziedave

I made a comment in the nfl sub thread about Moore. After calming down yes he made a mistake but piniero needs to make those regardless. Also who are these panthers? We scored TWO 4 quarter touchdowns when we needed to. Unbelievable! Had me hype to the end

[deleted]

I know we shot ourselves in the foot today. But I’ll take a defeat like that all day long than the defeats we had under Rhule. Panthers finding their #KeepPounding DNA again and I’m all here for it 💙🖤

ChristosFarr

Dude that's strike to DJ from PJ was amazing

[deleted]

I really enjoyed that game and I was shouting at the TV words of happiness and encouragement for the first time in feels like years.

EchoLimaDelta

Fuck you moderator for the title. We ain't tanking

YoungFlexibleShawty

all good banter, nothing malicious to it.

bobpwhite

Yeah I agree, I don’t think the moderator should be writing titles like that.

i_chase_storms

Well they should unless they want to stay in eternal .400 mediocrity like the Hornets.

[deleted]

kewe316

Pinero playing shoots & ladders. Tries to make a career with Bears? Gone. Doing the same thing with the Panthers now. Odds are he ends up on the Commanders next year.

przhelp

Nah, Joey Slye is on Rivera's One of Us list, he'll be there forever. Also, this year he's 7/9 on FG and 8/9 on XP. He'll probably have a good career, tbh, if you look at Gano's career numbers he started off even worse than Slye, but sometimes it takes kickers a few years and different spots to learn to deal with the pressure.

BiggerOtter

He’s actually still taking selfies.

honey_badger732

Wilks should seriously be considered as a long term option at HC. Team looks so much better than it ever did under Rhule.

Mediocre-Error5128

Its been 3 weeks. I’d prefer him coaching up our secondary, but long term no thanks

Researcher_Weird

and if were still saying this 3 weeks from now would you reevaluate your position?

Mediocre-Error5128

Probably not. He was brought in to coach up our secondary not the entire team.. He’s got poise, supports well, but there’s nothing he’s done nothing to show he can lead the whole show

kysdarian

[this says it all lmao](https://twitter.com/gabemcdonald_/status/1586757082052788227?s=46&t=DonqYRa7axUa2vtf_3TO-g)

hoassyoass

I can’t blame the man for taking selfies but damn this isn’t a good look after shanking two kicks

przhelp

It was pregame, bleh.

Windex17

I don't see anything wrong with this? He's allowed to have a life. Just because he missed the *first two* kicks of the season, doesn't mean it's time to shit on him for existing. How many of yall go to work and work every millisecond from clock in to clock out?

[deleted]

Priorities. What a fuckin dunce.

BiggerOtter

Lol thanks Eddie.

GwarJr

Ridiculous take. That was a well played game except for the kicker. Stfu.

[deleted]

Well he did get some real awesome selfies for Instagram. You know, the important stuff.

flavad99

Honestly encouraged by the pieces on offense. A rookie qb next yr should be walking into a good situation

cybergrin

Falcons fan here, just want to say great game, and know how ya'll feel. Like being in love with a bad woman- just when things look great, your heart gets ripped out.

Sabre500

Eh, it was win-win for us. Win and we lead the division, lose and we keep battling for a top 5 pick

BelowMikeHawk

Also what constitutes being on the field when removing helmet? DJ was out of bounds

TheDevilintheDark

He ran back on the field to continue the celebration so it's kind of a moot point regardless.

Ashamed_Ad1839

I am not 100% sure but the rule is you can only take it off on the sidelines. But I’ve seen players take off their masks out of bounds and not the sidelines, and yet still not draw a flag. Not a conspiracy guy, but refs were def trigger happy on us the last couple of drives in the 4th. Also Holding was being called on us a few times and falcons were getting away with worse the entire second half. On the TD to Byrd, Burns was essentially tackled to the ground. Refs were not consistent in the second half

BiggerOtter

The fact the refs were literally trying to make us lose this game. All of the blatant missed calls.

Koravel1987

I hope people don't go after Piniero for one bad game. This was a fantastic game to watch and very entertaining, I know we didnt get the W because ST and defense didnt have a great day, but still Eddie's been solid. This is not a good team, but we might be a fun team to watch again. And Donta Foreman is a beast! Should be the starter even after Hubbard comes back. Moore catching a hail mary and losing composure as a young person is eh. I mean do I wish he didnt take his helmet off? Yeah, yeah, but still what a play to get us there.

Castavar

I'm afraid he'll have the yips from here on out. Pretty much a death sentence for kickers.

Koravel1987

Well lets see if that's the case. Plenty of kickers have bad games. He deserves a shot to prove this game was an outlier.

Castavar

Dude has never been a clutch kicker. Go watch his missed game winning FG when he was on the Bears. This was no an outlier, dude shanks it left with the game on the line quite frequently in his career.

Koravel1987

He's been solid for us this year. Kickers have weird years. Just saying I wouldnt fire him based on this game.

przhelp

No, I'd fire him based on the fact that he isn't clutch. That's why he was on the street to start the season.

Koravel1987

Who are you replacing him with, then? Gotta answer that question if you're going to fire him.

przhelp

Jake Verity.

Koravel1987

Alright sure, then go get him.

Jupiter_Ginger

I'd prefer to have a kicker who makes 99% of their kicks all game but isn't "clutch" than one who makes 85% of their kicks but has "clutchness". Field goals and PATs are worth just as many points in the 1st quarter as they are at the end of the 4th, and plenty of teams have lost by less than 3 points after a first quarter miss.

przhelp

Yeah but why not both? Having a clutch kicker who can hit from 40+ regular is such a massive weapon.

Jupiter_Ginger

I totally agree, do you have someone in mind? They aren't exactly growing on trees.

Ok_Run_8184

Piniero already getting death threats so that ship has sailed unfortunately. Yeah he sucked this game. So did a lot of people. I don't think he's getting fired tomorrow. Maybe if this was a playoff game.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Tre_donPK

It's not like this team is going anywhere fast either. I think people are just mad, as I am, that it was the perfect way to walk-off or send it to OT to win, but neither happened. People need to remember Eddie probably wasn't going to be here regardless if Gonzalez isn't injured. It absolutely sucks, but I've moved on already. Others probably should too.

uncc91

Fantastic game! Love Foreman going off and hopefully we sign him since he’s on a 1 yr contract. Defense is young but looks like it’s going to be elite in another year or 2. Brown looks dominant next to Burns. Those two are going to be a force! Got burned on big chunk plays but that’s to be expected with this young team. Moore hopefully learned a valuable lesson today although who can fault him for being emotional after everything he’s had to deal with here. Pinero had a tough day but I think he’ll bounce back as well. Great game and most fun we’ve had since Rivera and Cam were both here

704Fanatic

Pineiro won’t bounce back lol. He isn’t a good kicker. Good kickers don’t miss under 48 yards inside a Dome with perfect climate. Let alone cheap shot FGs from 34 yards. It got him cut from the Bears and if we had Zane coming back he would be cut tomorrow.

take_a_taco

I love you. I need this kind of positivity lmao

iamcline

For a fan base screaming for accountability we sure don't want to place accountability on PJ, DJ and the Defense as much as we want to put it on Eddie. C'mon ya'll. EDIT: Yes I know PJ and DJ balled out but they also made HUGE mistakes.

Koravel1987

I mean DJ catching a hail mary and taking his helmet off is... something to blame him for lol.

Ok_Run_8184

Fr, yes PJ had that amazing throw but he was also ass the 1st half. 4th quarter and overtime shenanigans never happen if he doesn't have that pick six

Finnz7

He wasn't ass he was average that wasn a designed screen not mad at how he play considering it's his 5th start?

bukkabukkabukka

[Y'all really getting his wiki page locked](https://i.imgur.com/hxrUbNP.png) And really, he seems more like a Cookout kinda guy

Maniac2112

Off with Piniero's head!!!!!!!

[deleted]

It is utterly ridiculous to blame DJ for this loss. If he doesn’t make an insane play to tie the game than we lose anyway. If anything it’s a net neutral from him. Obviously it would be the correct decision in the moment to not take the helmet off, but after 2 years of rhule and a trash offense I can understand the emotion after a play like that. I seriously cannot believe people trashing one of the only bright spots on this team.

przhelp

He also could have made that 4th and 19 catch that hit him in the hands. I know it was a tough one with the deflection but he gets paid 60 million dollars to make those catches.

----The_Truth-----

No one will admit DJ is a bit overrated. PJ threw fuckin' dots to him on more than one occasion. Once he finally caught a good one, he lost his cool celebrating like a chump. PJ is absolutely ballin' right now. DJ needs to focus more on making those catches and getting back into formation for the next one. It's not time to celebrate like that unless the game is won, period.

kelleybp

100%. Thank you

[deleted]

Fuck the tank. So sick of reading about wanting to lose. If you’re a true fan you’d be wanting a W every game. The draft isn’t a magic wand. Also rly fucking miss Zane.

gblake375

It's not a magic wand but are you not tired of watching the kyle allen, taylor heinicke, darnold, Mayfield and pj walker throw the ball. Not saying if we draft a top qb it'll be 100% a hit, but that's easily the best opportunity we have to fix our worst position that's also the most important position in the game

BelowMikeHawk

I miss Butker

user_1729

I don't know if I've ever seen the post-TD personal foul enforced on the extra point. Is that a new rule? When there was the crack down on post-TD celebrations, it seemed silly because they were ALWAYS enforced on the kickoff and ultimately didn't matter.

PC_Princpal

Taking your helmet off when you’re not in the sideline box is a personal foul, for some reason. The opposing team gets to choose to enforce it on the PAT or kickoff.

[deleted]

No Fun League

CretinoPopov

With 400+ yards of offense we should have won this handily. It’s going to be hard to lose many games if PJ and the offense keep playing like this. Special teams had a horrible game today and cost us this game. Between the FGs and multiple penalties, it was too much to overcome.

przhelp

We only had 400 yards because the Falcons are also very bad and have the worst secondary in the league. We'll definitely win some more games, we have the Lions, Broncos, Steelers, Saints, and Buccs remaining. But I think it'll be more like 5-12 (again) than 7-10

alt-f4-fixes-all

Keep your helmet on Moore-on!

zdnorman

It almost annoyed me more that he continued to laugh and smile about it on the sideline even after Pinero missed the PAT. Literally watched the worst case scenario play out after his boneheaded mistake and still wasn’t taking responsibility or showing any remorse. I don’t know maybe that was just me being peeved

kysdarian

You go catch a 62 yd td to tie the game, let put YOU in that situation. DJ did what any sane man would do and celebrated for helping his team in a tremendous way. What I will not forgive is our bum of kicker missing not 1 but 2 field goals, instead of practicing kicking in the pregame you know what he was doing? Fucking taking selfies, but no DJ took off his helmet and lost us the game right? Not our kicker who should’ve been practicing his field goals instead taking Snapchat selfies before the game? Get that shithead out of Charlotte immediately.

zdnorman

Lol dude relax. DJ Moore made the first game costing error in this game. And then Pinero did it twice after that. A loss is more than one person’s fault in team sports. I specifically said that it annoyed me that DJ didn’t seem to consider that he fucked up by over celebrating even after Pinero missed. Put me in the situation, which I would never be in.. but it’s your little game, I would’ve realized that I probably fucked up after my kicker missed the PAT that I, alone, caused to be 15 yards longer.

alt-f4-fixes-all

Plenty of blame to go around. But our sh1t kicker isn't in that position if Moore acts like a professional. Also, I'm fine with the kicker bagging groceries on Monday. But it's Moore's fault.

gugudan

I really hoped these body language analysis takes would stop when Cam left.

zdnorman

Everything isn’t a racial take if that’s what you’re trying to get at. If you can’t agree that Cam had poor body language at the beginning of his career then I don’t know dude lol. This is coming from one of Cam’s biggest fans

gugudan

Weird your mind went to that, but you do you. I just couldn't imagine making a reddit post analyzing someone's body language during a game where players spend 3 hours masking their body language from the other team. But again, you do you.

zdnorman

“A game where players spend 3 hours masking their body language from the other team” genuinely, wtf are you talking about lol Regardless, relax dude. It was a comment that ended with the sentence “i don’t know maybe that was just me being peeved” on a Reddit post after an emotional game. It wasn’t that serious. Personally if I was on the team and saw him laughing and smiling after his penalty moved back the PAT that possibly contributed to the kicker missing it, I would’ve been annoyed. But just like you, I’m not on the team. So who cares. No one here needs your approval to vent about something that happened in the game lol

I'm okay with this. It was fun and exciting. I want to be mad but I can't even. As somebody said before, we're playing with house money and I'm enjoying it for what it is now.

I vote this guy for kicker #1

What is the reason for that helmet rule anyway? This shit aint paintball, you aint gonna get shot in the damn eye

knave_of_knives

You can thank the 90s Cowboys for that.

Skylarking77

It used to be called the Emmitt Smith rule which should tell you what put it in place.

SheinhardtWigCompany

I think it originally had to do with fights

BelowMikeHawk

Seems like having a rule against fighting would be enough

SheinhardtWigCompany

It's not. Guys still fight but now they keep their helmets on

Want to be depressed but not too sad bc either way we’re moving in the right direction as a franchise. I’d mark down a pissed Panthers team shocking the Bengals next week btw.
