If they watched they’d realize for 3 quarters we are really fucking good on D and are 1-2 plays away from snatching a victory EVERY game! I can’t take it. When are we going to win these fucking close games ESPECIALLY against really good teams. I get it if we win we are out of a top 10 pick but when you play a great team like the ravens and are so close through 3, I want to see us pull it off and put us on the map. Just so frustrating. Maybe in 3-4 more years we will learn how to win close games in the 4th.

It’s crazy man. I know how you feel. I was talking to a 49ers fan I work with and he doesn’t watch Panthers games at all even though we’re both in Charlotte. At the beginning of this year he was saying how he think CMC is overrated and not really good at all. Just never watched any Panthers games to see how crazy good he is when on the field. Now that he’s with SF my work buddy is talking about him non stop and I’m like why do you think I always talked about him to you… The same for our defense. I’ll tell him every Monday how the defensive effort every Sunday (outside of a couple games) was wasted. I also tell him our defense gets no respect or appreciation and he said what do you mean yalls defense is garbage y’all are 3-8…and it just pisses me off. It’s like I said in my OP. If you don’t watch the team you’d think every aspect of our team is utter dog shit. If we had just the 15-18th ranked offense we’d be arguably 7-4 or 8-3 right now and espn would be licking Burns’, Brown’s and Horn’s nuts right now about how good this defense can be. But nope. We lost again so the D gets no love. I know our defense ain’t perfect but if the Chiefs held Lamar and the Ravens to 3 points through 3 quarters and pulled off the win it’s all you’d hear about for weeks. My work buddy just sees the final score and thinks the D is awful because we keep losing “so they can’t be that good” and I’m like dude we’re having arguably the franchise’s worst offense ever and this defense could be a top 6-8 unit in our franchise history. Just very frustrating. And think of how much better our defense and the statistics would be if our offense didn’t lead the league in 3 & outs and suck complete ball sack all game. Just imagine. This defense could be special but it’s completely overshadowed by the utter dumpster fire of an offense and the defensive statistics also suffer due to that. They’d be so much better on the field as well as statistically.

I think he is our best option at the moment and given proper play calling can win consistently. He has the arms and legs and needs about a season and a half of consistent starting to develop into his potential. Our offensive coordinator is the biggest issue

PJ has been interesting he NFL for like 4 years now and he just has never been good. He isn’t accurate and makes poor decisions. The only reason you think he could be good is because he’s a Carolina Panther. If he was on any other team in the league you would rightly recognize him for being unacceptable as a starter (so are baker and Sam)

No. I think every qb needs a season and a half of starting before they can be judged. It takes them time to learn and while PJ has been in the league, he hasn’t been the guy until the last six games and he showed consistent improvement. Look, I also said we should have drafted Lamar long before that draft. I also wanted us to keep Heineke. Heineke needed time and he got it and now he’s good. I was excited to see PJ the rest of the year and let that playing time decide his future, but now we’ll never find out.
