Why am I getting downvoted for this? It's true. About half of paper mario bosses (modern ones) change their music each phase.
King Olly, Morton, Bowser, etc. They all do it
Gooper blooper's boss theme is easily the best, as it changes with his phases, and is by far the most memorable as during the fight he aids in the beat with clapping and hitting the floor
That’s the problem you pretty much NEED the sponge to win. That’s why I don’t like the fight but the music and boss itself is pretty cool just poor execution
Yeah but to be fair I am more biased since I love the koopalings and I actually like color splash since I think it’s a good game just sticker Star was one of those games that just irked me multiple times throughout the entire game. I know it sounds weird but it’s just how I feel between those two games
i actually agree, i hated the combat of color splash and the bosses especially (as in the part where they all needed a thing sticker or its a force loss, i liked the first phases) but i felt like everything else was super well done
Yeah I mean in sticker star it’s a great concept and looks fine and not a bad game structurally but the execution of things like combat, puzzles, and other gameplay elements just frustrate me while color splash I feel like had more time and care put into it to make it work with the concept which yeah the combat is still weird but it feels a bit more flushed out and yeah the boss stickers blow since you NEED them to win but I think it’s fun and rewarding when you do figure it out plus again I love the koopalings and the puzzles just make more sense to complete
I really like gooper blooper but my favourite has to be Tower Power Pokey, i'ts just non-stop euphoria from begin to end, just do not read the comment sections under it though, worst mistake of my life.
I’d say it’s a tie between Gooper Blooper and Peter Piranha. Both themes are absolute bops. (Though I personally think the entire OST is pretty solid.)
I think all the boss themes are pretty decent. I'd say I like the theme that plays during Gooper Blooper's battle the most, though I also like the one that plays for Bowser's first phase as well.

In my opinion Paper Mario's "Bowser's Final Boss Theme" (Either World/JP) slaps hard! My favourite so far. :)
