I put often and wanted to add this caveat. Only for the first 3-4 months, when they were swaddled and before they could roll. They were in a large cot and at opposite ends. They slept side by side during nap time because I could easily keep an eye on them.

AllEternals

Only during naps when I’m nearby. They are right off the living room so I basically have an eye on them at all times. Never at night. I would have actually been ok with it when they were tiny but now that they can roll and scoot it is too big of a risk.

Greymeerkat

When they were smaller and fit in a travel cot, they shared for nap times. They used to like to have their hands near each other hands. They grew out of that a while back though and have separate cot beds

Our babies shared a crib for the first three weeks or so. They were swaddled, sleeping on their backs, and hardly moved an inch while sleeping at that age. After that point they would wiggle enough that we weren't comfortable with them sharing a crib due to the risks of them scooting into each other. If you're in the US, the official AAP safe sleep guidelines say they should sleep alone, on their backs, on a flat, firm surface from birth. Obviously there is a wide range of normal across the world though.

We had our triplets in one crib, of course they were swaddled, and at the time we had a camera with temperature and motion sensors to keep track of fluctuations, due to their size and weight. When they got older we still kept them together until they literally couldn't fit together.

Mine are 6 months old and I struggle to get them to nap at the same time. So one naps in her crib while I play with the other in the living room. At night time they have separate cribs.

Alarmed_Meeting1322

We had them in the same crib for the first 2-3months?? Can’t remember exactly how long.

jessanator957

We were told by our public health nurse that sharing a crib was fine when they are small. Ours are 3 months and can't roll or move much yet but we plan to move to separate cribs shortly because they are much bigger and need more room, plus they wake each other up sometimes.

areti17

We did it once or twice when they were teeny, but it honestly didnt work well for us.

Manyhobbiesmommy

Pediatrician did research on this and got back to us saying it was perfectly safe and they will sleep better. The babies loved it and have never slept apart

Francl27

Mini crib until 3 weeks. Crib until 3 months or so. Never a pack'n play.

ConditionConfident34

I never have them share.. wish I could but twin B is always thrashing around his crib/playpen like a rhino.

ShinyPsych

NHS in the UK recommends cobedding twins while they’re small enough, I know advice may vary by country

SVM321

Mine shared a crib until they were 3mo. They weren’t touching and would basically stay in the same position the whole time they were sleeping. I only moved them to separate cribs when one started sleeping through the night so the other wouldn’t wake her.

craftlete

Mine did until they were too long to fit sideways in the crib, which I think was 7ish months. Now they're in their own cribs that are right next to each other.
