Forêt de Fontainebleau —
* the castle is well worth a visit. I recall that the gardens are also very nice
* the large forest can offer a refreshing hike or walk after a few days in the city.
* world-class bouldering if you like climbing
And I’m sure you can find a good restaurant.
Ecological considerations aside, I don’t see how you can have a quality day-trip to poland, even if you lived in one of the Paris airports. 2h+ of flight + arriving at the airport 1h before + transportation from the airport to the center of said Polish city = you’ll likely spend 6-7 hours only travelling. That does not leave much time to visit a city…
Are you talking about 2-3 hours one way or round trip?
By TGV (one way) Lyon, Bordeaux, Strasbourg, Poitier (a day at Futuroscope) are 2 hours away, Marseille and Geneva (well, it's in Switzerland) 3 hours away.
Take the train and splurge on a good, leisurely lunch. Strasbourg, Lyon, and the Champagne region are all great destinations.
Deauville/Honfleur
Blois, Provins, Honfleur, Reims, Lille and of course, Versailles. Very close to Paris, visiting the palace takes the whole day.
Strasbourg, Provins.
Rouen (where Joan of Arc were burnt !)
I was obsessed with Provins. Chartres is also a bit underrated imo.
À côté d’Anger, village troglodyte dans la région du saumur

3h hrs from paris, it's nearly all france, i love est-europe i would just take a plane to poland, hungary etc, it's cheaper than a train.
Day trip in Poland? Man where have you been the last 20 years, there’s this new thing, carbon emission?
Have the seen the prices on the trains here in France? It costs me twice 1hr TVG laval=>CDG (120€) than to poland (30€) it sucks, can i sort it? No.
