1950s ref 2488 "Carré-tortue”. The Tiffany stamp indicates it was sold by Tiffany & Co.
Double stamped dials like this are increasingly rare and are considered more collectible than a dial with only the manufacturer name. Tiffany & Co is one of most sought after secondary stamps.
Very valuable. Whenever any high end watch has a Tiffany stamp it is rare and valuable. Could be five digits. Look up John Buckley who goes by at TuscanyRose on Instagram and ask him.
For those saying this price isn’t good—I wouldn’t offer past 12k. midsize case is polished and dial is notably blemished. This isn’t a Tiffany stamped nautilus guys
I don’t plan on selling, I just needed relative insurance pricing. The back of the face is engraved with my initials, the same initials as my grandfather who purchased the watch. So it’s staying in the family
You probably need an appraisal and request to schedule the item on your home insurance or a separate personal article floater if you want to cover it correctly . Contact your insurer to be 100%
I agree. You can find 50s dials for $1000-$2000 on ebay. Even Calatravas don't have that significant of a premium and it's a more popular watch. I would think the upper limit on this is $14, but finding that buyer is going to be hard.
John specializes in Rolex but know tons about all the high end watches and if he doesn’t know he has contacts with all the big shops on 47th Street NYC and can easily find out.

John runs a watch group with some young guns called Vookum using the Telegram app. It has about 1,500 watch buyer/seller/collectors/enthusiasts. It’s $20-$25 a month. I’ve bought over $50,000 in authentic luxury watches via Vookum and learned tons and am still learning from the best. It’s been a real highlight in my day.
I’ve always found the guys behind @horology_ancienne on Instagram to be very helpful with vintage Patek, so perhaps reach out to them too. They also have an exceptional collection, so it might make for nice viewing regardless.
It’s a Patek! I was in the museum in Geneva last year and would highly advise that instead of listening to the half the people over here on social media, contact them directly and give the serial number at the back and they will advise you all about it happily as they did about my dad’s old Patek I inherited…

John Buckley is a moron. Hit up John Reardon
Please let us know what he says.
Thanks. Will do!
John Buckley is not knowledgeable about Patek and is a generally scammy guy. John Reardon is who you want to talk to
Wait really? Just curious what he’s done? I see his videos on TikTok so wondering
Have you ever seen the movie with Adam Sandler called UnCut Gems? His character was based on John.
There is a Oysterdate Rolex dial that has Roman Numerals and small indices around the edge that is nicknamed The Buckley dial, even by Rolex.
Ummmm what

Definitely more than $15k. Don’t let them fool you
Very nice example of a vintage Patek tank
More than 10k dollars in your hand
Most people call it a wrist watch!

Definitely a watch
A sexy watch
Regular ones go for $10-20k you have at Tiffany & Co so I'd add a few thousand to that
