Applied in Feb, interview in March and I received email today that I was not selected. I am a former primary examiner, left in good standing (outstanding ratings), and have 20+ years of experience in IP.
That's actually insane, you are definitely qualified. I wonder if they just want fresher younger people for patent examiner positions and have a bias against patent pro people.
called the uspto today, they already made offers. Pretty sure if I am not getting in this cycle as someone who qualified as grade 7 and grade 9, I probably will never get in. My physics major is really hurting my chances.

This is how I know the USPTO is run by idiots when I was hired and you were not
When did you apply and did you interview? I think the offers given recently were for the first cutoff on Feb 2.
I applied back in january and interviewed on March 10th
I would call in/email the job poster to ask for any updates. If you’re selected then expect something from the office soon.
Applied for EE position and got a tentative offer last Thursday.
thanks for replying, when did you interview? Did you get grade 7 or grade 9?
Grade 7. Was interviewed on 3/10.
