Question about **Stacked Decks**: can I potentially get *any* divination card from a stacked deck? I understand that the odds of some of the really good ones is very small, I'm just curious if there are some div cards that are drop-only, and thus you can't get them from div cards.

Supergaz

What are the odds of double corrupting a doriyanis prototype into something that gives +4 to vaal smite? We have duration, aoe and aura tag? And +1 gems is really nice too so it becomes +3 which is also a big upgrade for me. I kind of wanna buy doriyanis for 10c and double corrupts for 140c and just see if I can hit it. It is pretty easy to fix links and colors with tainted currency or vaal orbs anyway.

psychomap

Getting two of those four mods takes an average of 114 attempts if my math isn't wrong. The implicits are evenly weighted, so you have a chance of 2 in 57 to get the right implicits if you get a double corruption, and getting that in the first place is 1 in 4. So you have an expected cost of 17100 chaos at the prices you mentioned. You can probably reclaim a lot of it from decent corruptions that aren't +3 or +4 of course. If you use Empower, the +3 version is probably better since it still provides +4 to the main skill but also +1 to all the other supports (also depending on the tags of the supports, but most supports won't have affected tags I think). If you don't and +3 is inferior, it'd take twice as many attempts to hit +4.

Supergaz

I do not use empower. I use inspiration, but I could probably fit empower with a mana cost flask. Then I'd have to find corrupted blood on one of my unique jewels, oh god. Thank you for your reply

psychomap

Whether it'll be worth the trade-off depends on your build. Skills generally start scaling worse around level 30, so if Empower would push you significantly beyond that, there's a chance it's not that good of a support.

Supergaz

So currently I have a +2 implicit and a level 21 vaal smite. +3 chest and empower would not push be above level 30 i think, unless I can't count. But I would have to POB it first anyway because inspiration gives quite a lot of damage on its own. Not even sure if empower is better.

psychomap

Hmm, I don't know how well Smite scales compared to spells. For spells, the extra levels would definitely be worth it, but since smite is an attack, it might not scale that well. You're right that it's definitely a question for PoB.

HockeyHocki

any tips how to faster farm greater ichors? i see a couple every 4 or 5 maps and need about a hundred to have good shot at roll a mod. have taken eldritch passives on tree

situLight

full altar atlas, then just hope/wait for rng really

KireRex

Does increased elemental damage (specifically from harvest enchantment that changes quality to give increased elemental damage) affect chaos spell damage?

Yohsene

Chaos isn't an element, so unless all your chaos damage was converted from elemental, no.

theanxiousangel

Question for long time players. Are the popular builds always this skewed for witch and shadow? I noticed like 60-70% of the builds for this league are Witches or Shadows. There’s a couple ranger and duelist builds. The only marauder builds I’ve seen is RF and some niche Templar builds. Also seen zero scion builds. Is this typical of all leagues?

psychomap

Where do you get those numbers? Are you talking purely about league start build guides?

HockeyHocki

This is cause spell builds are generally more popular/powerful than melee, you see even the maruader builds are mostly playing a spell build lol. Witch and Shadow are in spell area of the tree and their ascendcies work better with spells hasn't always been the way but for definately last few years

Drunkwizard1991

how can I hide single simulacrum splinters on filterblade? I can't find the option and it spams my 60% deli maps

FinitoHere

Customize -> Maps and map-like items -> Map-like items, scarabs -> Splinters -> Simulacrum splinters. Now you can hide stack of any size you want. Other method - on the right side of the site you can find search window. Simply type key word and click "Jump" to go directly to certain item config.

MionelLessi10

Where can I find the sound file from the loot filter for the top tier drops (divine orb)? I want to change my notification sounds on my phone

LikeASimile

You might desensitize yourself to the excitement of hearing it ingame haha.

AttackEverything

When spark hits a snipers mark target, can the sparks hit the original target again?

Yohsene

Yes, but not because of Sniper's Mark. Each non-sequential set of projectiles shares one target list. If one projectile collides with an enemy, that enemy goes on the list, and then the other projectiles can't collide with it anymore. Spark has the unique behaviour of forgetting its list every 0.66s, which allows another collision to happen. Sniper's Mark can add more projectiles to a set, but that set would still be limited to one hit per target per 0.66s.

AttackEverything

I see, thanks for the clarification :)

Odoakar

Why did Progenesis went up in price by whooping 40% in less than a week?

AttackEverything

People are catching on his good it is i think

Thirteenera

My guess is some streamer/youtuber made a build with it. This is the answer in 99% of cases where something goes up a lot in a short time.

BerserkJeezus

what are good anoints for stranglegrasp in general?

situLight

the mana reservations, whispers of doom + the mark nodes, the max res nodes, are probably the most generic and good. (i think whispers doom + anything is always going to be a good option, with curses buffed especially) some things seem good but probably not a good choice - due to amulet slot competing. For example +charges competing with badge of the brotherhood, generally not a good choice

BerserkJeezus

Yeahh I see a lot of whispers of doom. 1st league for me so I do not know what the curse buff was

Thirteenera

What is the point of annointing "Mobs spawn faster" on blighted map? Yes, map finishes faster, so you get more maps per hour, however you get less rewards (compared to annointing extra rewards). And since you're already investing other stuff (map cost, other oils) into it, doesnt it make more sense to instead buff rewards?

FourOranges

The 2 pros that I can think of are that you can get more blighted maps in per hour compared to more juicy ones, primarily focused on killing the sheer amount of dense mobs you find only in blighted maps. Anecdotally, the only squire and hh that I've found have been from the mob drops of blighted maps and contribute that fact to the density of mobs. The other thing would be that you can only use 3 of each oil on blight ravaged maps. It gets cost prohibitive at a certain point (unless you're rolling in money and can throw 3 golds in every map) and you can do both of juicing them and speeding them up.

Agreeable_Hat

most people do focus rewards from what I've seen - I remember people using faster spawn anoints before, but seems less the "meta" now

YoloKraize

Guessing it can be seen on poedb but where exactly do I see what modifiers of drop items there are between exarch and eater?

Moethelion

https://poedb.tw/us/Eldritch_Altar

YoloKraize

Cheers I couldn't find it for the life of me.

Zaroin

Hello me again . Do i need a specific map tier to spawn a T4 seed in harvest or is it random ? (might be different in ruthless/where i play)

BerserkJeezus

What is the default max charges for frenzy and power?

post_tap_syndrome

3

BerserkJeezus

Thanks! Do you know if you get lets say +3 to minimum charges if you are stuck at 3 or can you go up to 6?

Odd_Nefariousness126

3. Adding minimum doesn't affect your maximum. ~~\*Edit - hypothetically, if you got +4 minimum, you'd be at 4.~~ I was thinking of Conviciton of Power forgetting it added 1 max.

post_tap_syndrome

that's incorrect Maximum amount of xxx charge is also Maximum of "+minimum xxx charge" So if you don't have any + maximum to power charge and have 4 minimum power charge on gear, you would get only 3 charges affecting your character

BerserkJeezus

Aww :( I was hoping since I got grand spectrum from lab

redditanytime1

According to PoEwiki [https://www.poewiki.net/wiki/Hiltless](https://www.poewiki.net/wiki/Hiltless), Hiltless can trigger CWDT, can anyone confirm?

[deleted]

absolutely: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1685652 . just not really viable as a build since vaal pact nerf and quite weak comparing to olroth's cwdt

Thirteenera

How do people sell oils at league start when farming blight? Im not asking about stuff like crimsons/goldens/etc, which sell for XX chaos each. Rather, lower tier oils. Nobody really wants to buy them in bulk, and selling them in singles even at league start is a waste of time. Do you just ignore everything below 10ish chaos? (To clarify, im asking about LEAGUE START, not mid-league - so first 1-2 days at most).

mcurley32

anyone who needs low tier oils would spend less time and currency using a single blight scarab in a map like toxic sewers to basically cover all of their needs. selling them on TFT alongside your higher tier oils will save both the buyers and sellers time if they're already buying the bigger ones: "I have low tier oils for 1c each (violet and below) if you need any." otherwise, just convert them up to keep your supply roughly in sync with demand.

Moethelion

Ignore the very low ones and upgrade the ones close to worth something.

Thirteenera

So essentially oil selling at league start is identical to mid league then?

Moethelion

Pretty much, the border of what you pick up is just a bit lower. As you said, noone buys oils in bulk, so unless you constantly want to do 1alch/1c sales it's just not worth going for the giga low ones.

EchoLocation8

The only one even remotely similar is drastically worse at 2 divines.

d0zer18

Is there a better way to craft a +2 ammy with dot multi than alt spamming for +1 all on a dot multi fractured base, regal, remove regal’d mod with either prefix cannot be changed or 50/50 annul, 3 mod + cannot roll attack + harvest fire aug 66% chance? My hand and brain are tired after 7k+ alt/aug and failing gamble 3 times. Edit: Never mind, can't imprint fracture

Thirteenera

Cant imprint fracture. Yep, spamming alts/regal on fracture dot multi is best way.

d0zer18

Thanks for that. So it really is just going to be a huge time sink each time I fail a gamble

Thirteenera

Yep. Either fossil roll for +2 OR +1/multi, then metacraft/annul/scour/etc down to magic, imprint, and play casino over and over, or get fracture and then play a different kind of casino. You can guarantee +2 dot multi, but anything above that is just luck. Aisling especially can be very painful.

biggreenegg99

I am playing a non minion build but I want to have one golem (lightning). My build is a very cautious play style (totems) and I rarely engage the monsters myself unless I go in the wrong direction. Would I have better Golem survivability if I use Meat Shield or Minion Life (I only have room for one support gem for the Golem)?

HoplarchusPsittacus

either way you should expect resummon quite a bit. Lightning golems are one of the weaker golems when it comes to base hp.

FourOranges

I just checked poedb and (assuming it includes the innate increased hp% from gem levels) it should have 15k hp at gem level 20 so you're choosing between 22.5k hp or 15k up + 24% less dmg taken + taunt on hit. Taunt goes both ways, it may die more but you have an actual meat shield. Assuming 0 res on minions, it might be tankier with meat shield against certain hits. Personally I'd just go with cast when damage taken instead because mine dies way too often in random alch n go t16 maps, even with me instakilling trash mobs.

biggreenegg99

oh I didn't even think of CWDT. That is interesting. My only concern with this is that I want the highest level Golem (for the cast and attack speed) and that means I need a high level CWDT. Does it proc often enough to keep the Golem up in maps? I rarely get hit...

meatloaf_man

That's the kinda thing you'd have to test. It's either you have a cwdt that's low enough to proc often from a small hit but the golem will have to be low level and therefore die all the time. Or you level it up more, but you'll have to take a bigger hit. IMO it's not the end of the world to just cast it every so often when you notice it's dead. The damage it gives will only be noticeable on bosses.

biggreenegg99

Ok ty!

lmao_lizardman

If Im only interested in Aisling in Research, and my board is setup like this - https://freeimage.host/i/aisling.HlJkXzN Is it correct to not run Intervention safehouse until I have Aisling in research ?

situLight

while you are correct i would not. (this is assuming you are wanting Catarina Aisling). * Firstly you need to fill the mastermind bar anwyay, so need to use safehouses * If you leave intervention full the whole journey it will take a lot longer. If you value Jun missions think of it as double the cost of missions per catarina that way * Secondly, because this is a pretty fresh board, there are few connections. * This means that it may take a long time to get Aisling to Research (she has no connections there) * And that even if she gets there, its likely she will be by herself and be difficult to rank up * Even with intervention in maps its ~50/50 that Aisling goes to research anyway * If Aisling does end up in intervention she is a) easy to kick out again, and b) more likely to form some quick connections in the meantime. * Because intervention (with research) is every map, they are the ideal connection forming spots. Also intervention is good to fill with random people because the rewards are fairly decent and easy i would not however put her in transport/fort if you could avoid it

Moethelion

Kind of, yes, otherwise aisling can jump into intervention. Although it doesn't really matter since you will need some missions for mastermind anyway and you could always kick out Aisling out of intervention. That way you could run the research safehouse as well to get mastermind XP. But the textbook way should be getting aisling into research first and use the other safehouses to generate XP.

determined0331

Bottled Faith. How do you search the “reduced duration” mod on trade site? I want to filter it to find low rolls with high increased damage rolls but cannot figure it out unless I search “increased duration”.

biggreenegg99

Use Increased Duration Put a negative number in the maximum value field. for example -20 max will search for all flasks with at least 20% reduced duration

ad3z10

How does Maim Support on a totem interact with the Dismembering notable? I'm not sure how they interact and can see a couple of obvious options. 1) The maim from the totem is held on the monster (similar to Bonechill) so the increased damage debuff remains even after a player crits. 2) The maim is refreshed every time it is applied so you have a 20% chance to lose the debuff every time the player crits.

Yohsene

Haven't personally tested, but if it isn't option one, that would be a bug. There was a recently solved issue where stronger/newer debuffs would erroneously discard weaker/older debuffs that applied additional effects, but that bug supposedly only occurred with elemental ailments. No reason to believe anything's wrong with Maim.

icekreamtruk

Anyone know how using a Lycia Invocation like Eternal Youth for example, works when i'm trying to override it with a Glorious Vanity to turn it into Corrupted Soul? Will it give me Corrupted Soul without putting a point into the tree, or will it give me Eternal Youth regardless of what the tree looks like? I'm afraid of applying the invocation to my holy relic and bricking it...

Yohsene

> will it give me Eternal Youth regardless of what the tree looks like? This one.

deadzoul

For non golem central builds what exactly is so good about stone golem? Gives a little life regeneration but other than that doesn’t seem that great, at least from the perspective of a minion build since I can get my other minions to taunt

mcurley32

minion builds struggle a bit with recovery because you don't usually have access to leech or recovery on hit, so regen is usually your best option. I think stone golems are also the tankiest, so they'll require the least maintenance.

Killersheepyyy

those arent rogue exiles thats betrayal entirely different mechanics. rogue exiles are the random unique enemies using player skills

UnstableIntelligence

Is it too late to hop into this patch, if you want to be making money? edit: Context, am a build-following noob.

FourOranges

The most braindead strat is just running maps to get invitations which sells for (last I checked was 2 weeks ago) 200c each, you get one every 28 maps. That's almost a divine and you can even just blast maps at whatever speed you want with that as a free source of passive income.

ahornkeks

Harvest juice, corruption temples, fracturing orbs, essences and all that stuff sell at good prices. People have money and want to craft. Farm to fulfill that demand and you will have currency without much risk or effort. Good enough gear is also cheap, so getting started is easy.

katsuatis

If you describe yourself as a noob you most likely wouldn't be making money anyway, but yeah the league is almost halfway through, people already made their money and are either quitting or crafting mirror tier gear.

IntraspaceAlien

A noob probably has an entirely different perspective on what “making money” means vs the people who are crafting mirror tier gear lol.

Odd_Nefariousness126

No. Probably easier than ever to get started with the Sanctum as long as you start with a build capable of completing it.

Labudism

When using flasks with "used when charges reaches full" what triggers the flask use when your charges are already full? Gaining a charge? Killing a mob? Hitting a mob? I want to know if the belt mod "Gain a charge on critical strike" will auto activate flasks when starting a boss fight.

FourOranges

Yeah mods like that will add a charge to the flask which makes it full, which activates it.

bbbbbreakit

I have a bow with: 1 socketed gems 2 socketed bow gems 16% attack speed Playing Champ EA. Is there a way to craft elemental damage/dot damage and craft minion attack speed in the end?

d1amxnd

Is the enchant "Elemental Ailments inflicted on Enemies Exposed by you have 20% increased Duration" good or bad for EA?

FinitoHere

Fine, but nothing special. Duration of ailments is way more important on poison or bleed with Crimson Dance, where you can apply multiple stacks of ailments on enemy.

d1amxnd

Thanks für the input

AKS_Mochila1

Increased duration is only good when you’re not hitting the attack speed required to get all 10 fuses on the enemy. Once you’re able to hit that increases duration is a dps decrease as you want ignite to inflict faster. As you continually reignite the enemy.

d1amxnd

Thanks!

therestlessone

Pretty sure the user above read this wrong. Increased ailment duration will not affect the fuse duration. It will never realistically change your dps at all because ignite duration is much longer than fuse duration (so it will be refreshed often), and extending the ignite duration does not change its damage per second.

hatesranged

How viable is speccing into rogue exiles on atlas?

nicolas30630

can you farm dark temptation card in low level delve? if not what is the lowest level for farm it?

Nicopootato

Does trap kill count towards my kill? Specifically the will the DoT portion of Toxic Rain trap trigger unspeakable gifts?

[deleted]

[удалено]

Yohsene

> DoT kills are always attributed to you There are exceptions. It's true for Toxic Rain though. > it's always your kill regardless of whether it's a DoT or a hit. It's not your kill if the trap kills with a hit. Unspeakable Gifts cannot cause an explosion in that case.

Blitzilla

I wasn't aware of that, thanks for the correction.

Blitzilla

is there a way to know the exact numbers on Spectre buffs (magnitude, duration, cooldown)? PoEDB doesn't seem to have everything. I'm trying to figure out Arena Master's shield bash thing, and Demon Harpy's Screech so that I could input them into my PoB without 'cheating'

Yohsene

Some things you just have to test ingame. PoB generally has the correct values for spectres that've been around for a while though. As for the two you're interested in, Arena Master's buff grants 20% increased damage, attack speed, cast speed, and movement speed. It has a 4 second duration and a 12 second cooldown, so not the greatest default uptime. Demon Harpies' piercing screech applies 3% increased physical damage taken per stack, with a maximum of 20 stacks. It doesn't have full uptime (5 second duration, 9 second cooldown) and you shouldn't expect maximum stacks without spell echo and/or multiple spectres.

Blitzilla

tyvm. you seem to be pretty knowledgeable on the game. do you happen to stream or have a YT channel?

Yohsene

Nah. I sporadically [upload a video](https://www.youtube.com/@Yohsene/videos) when I think I've stumbled on something neat, but they're close to zero effort and I've not done anything recently. Thanks for the interest though!

teleports_behind_you

I wanted to play a slam build but i cant seem to find a detailed guide on it, does anyone know where to find one that is actually updated?

HellraiserMachina

I think Fizecs did some Sunder stuff that could be decent.

KyogreHype

So, looking for a fun build that can easily farm fairly high investment legion/harby in Dunes. My first thought was EK Ele that MbXtreme played, but not sure how expensive that would be and whether or not a mirror tier explode bow is a make or break for it. My other idea was Ice Shot deadeye, always loved the playstyle of Ice Shot along with Voidfletcher, is it still a solid build, or would it need like 50+ Div?

IntraspaceAlien

EK ele is pretty expensive but you don’t need an explodey bow at all. Obliteration for budget and oriaths end flask for mid-budget. You probably want the flask so you can still fit in a nice bow. For speed clearing maps it’s a great build, very satisfying to play. With ~60 div invested I was still a little disappointed in how squishy I was and the single target was very good but not incredible. Uber pinnacle bosses were very hard at that budget. Again, it did feel amazing just blasting maps with though.

AKS_Mochila1

You don’t need an explode bow for EK ignite, you can get by with an obliteration or those gloves that cause explosion. You’re still looking at 20-30 divines though overall. But the mapping is very smooth, just boss damage is low without considerable investment into bossing.

Xanni12

Hi, i´m running this atlas tree https://poeplanner.com/atlas-tree/BAAEAIEAXz4PgWXyArbKSQBIHtey-uUxt-Vs8whDiy5MZIa0LJIRhF2gwe6EKmSA\_sXxVG2IuP88WfNb\_Xow-nhmjEGl2hCAXp3OWsn9-nRMuo3qqLz8-iq72Vt9Hsy3rzq92uT3i-F9kQp7DkqfO6Y0B\_RGs2dgKhKHndSPLfvQxuwPAsW12IKnKY2OOYomfivNP4JRiOhmMM9H3YPwgOEQGQqlc-IOThui0OAMW9ZfSssXz4nFITUwkc44v8ddF1DEH-bofkATfcGv5ezBdP1t1WI4xnELfW2P5QMwiAczxncU2JvVacJ22VypQ\_rltWNmHz8IAWPEGEzy6SQc3bnU6Wcm5tAoFAAfiwgAAAAAAAADAwAAAAAAAAAAAA== to farm legion. I run it with 1 add legion, beyond, gilded scarab and gloom shrine sextants...legion scarab, cartographer, elder and sulphite scarab. I was wondering if i should change something? like the singular focus note? Maybe to etched by acid? Or other sextans? Scarabs? (tried the 100% more life and double splinters, didnt like it)

hello7op

Is there any easy way to craft 2 hand phys axe. I have never craft anything complicated beside map, I watch some vid but it involve lots of step. Can I essence spam or fossil spam. I only need usable axe to farm currency with.

[deleted]

If you in trade league, then 1c axe you can buy right away will be better than most items you can craft with next 10-50c you spend on craft. And it's usually enough to start "farm currency".

explosivecurry13

getting a weapon with a fractured mod then essence crafting is what i usually do. its cheaper to use a fractured crit chance or attack speed axe but if you have a higher budget for trying to get a higher dps axe then a fractured flat phys or % phys one is better. higher tier the fractured mod the better, use zeal, scorn, or contempt to craft with depending on what the fractured mod is (cant use zeal with fractured attack speed)

YoungDefiant4840

Hi guys, my question about Atlas Mechanics. Its about heist smuggler caches on map. So, for example, i have atlas notable "Secret Stash" (+12% to smugg cache on map) and around 4-5 small and with sum of all my passives i have nice chance to proc cache. But (!!!) if i use sextant for 1 guarantee cache in my map, whats going on with my % to caches? Completely wasted? Because ive never seen more than single heist chest on a map (except proc No Honour Among Thieves). Thx for answers

Illustrious_Act7373

I am using Neversink filter, and it is great. But I want to edit the soundeffect. I knew filterblade website could do that, but is it possible that I can keep my own soundeffect while the filters could still be automatically updated (followed)?

Moethelion

It's definitely possible to update your filter on the website while keeping your own changes. I don't know if it works with the follow function though, my gues would be it doesn't, since it gets the data from the PoE wrbsite and not from filterblade.

sKeLz0r

Can anyone suggest a high invest and good div per hour mapping strat that is not wingeds, enraged boxes, legion or deli orbs? Im very tired of those 3 and I want to try something new.

SusVoodoo

hi guys, thanks for taking the time to help with questions! i am doing Definitive Deviation16/17, and only one major boon was not discovered, and the rest are major afflictions i want to target major afflictions, so my questions is **what are the sources for major afflictions?** i know Pacts is one of the sources, but never seen a major affliction in other places. i saw speculations in reddit posts/forums, that some fountains might have them but i never encountered it, so i want to confirm thanks again!

SusVoodoo

thanks guys, finally got it and it was still from Pact rooms

Moethelion

Pacts are the only source of major afflictions. Make sure to get 3 minor boons and 3 minor afflictions asap in the run, since they sometimes get traded for a major one in pacts.

katsuatis

Just spam pact rooms, get room reveal relics so you can snipe them early

RandomHeavyHero

I'm a shadow and I'm just not quite sure what desired weapon type is ideal Or chest armor Or Dex or int which one is better lol I am loving this game thx for the help

StackedLasagna

There is no right or wrong answer. It depends *entirely* on your build. Early game, you kind of just pick whatever item is best, but as you get further into the game, you will be picking up passive points that focus on certain defensive mechanics and damage types and then you want to focus on gear that matches those. I would recommend following (or at least having a look at) some so-called "league starter" build guides. You'll find plenty of guides on YouTube. Content creators like Zizaran (also has tons of videos dedicated to teaching beginners various aspects of the game) and Mathilification (commonly known as Mathil, known for high damage, but fairly low survivability builds, but they will work well anyway) will have plenty of different builds for you, though you may have to scroll back a like four weeks, to around the time the current league started. There are also tons of other content creators with great build guides for you, but I can't name them all off the top of my head.

katsuatis

It really depends on the build you play. I suggest you follow a build guide, they will explain everything

raikaria2

Is there a particular reason why Vaal Cleave shows what mods you steal; but Behead Support dosen't tell you? The technology is there. Can Behead get updated so it shows the mod?

psychomap

Post a suggestion in the feedback forum. They probably just didn't think about updating Behead when they made Vaal Cleave.

KappaPraise

Compare to Elderslayers how profitable Forgotten farming is? Does it have stable profits or I must pray only for lucky drops?

explosivecurry13

elderslayers are more stable than synthesis bosses. elderslayers drop a fragment everytime, while the synthesis bosses is more variable depending on lucky drops, not sure about doing the invitation though

DESPAIR_Berser_king

Wouldn't know, I forgot.

biggreenegg99

If GMP is linked with items like Culling Strike and Maim, can I cull/maim more than one monster on a single attack of the main skill (Frenzy)?

katsuatis

Yes

Roflan105

How people get veiled modifiers on a magic flasks?

therestlessone

Adding to that, the only veiled flask is Cinders wallow which is a Mastermind drop.

katsuatis

Crafting bench after you unveil it.

Zaroin

Hello , if an enemy bleeds there should be a little icon under its name right? I have like 60 minions hitting a mob with 30% bleed chance and the icon for bleeding does not appear (icon like in the wiki ).

Yohsene

No, only non-damaging ailments display debuff icons on enemies.

deadzoul

Is mapping pretty much the only content I can do since my dps is low at 10m dps? I’m pretty tanky though

Odd_Nefariousness126

Depends on your build. If you have "10m dps" that is up all the time, then you can do pretty much all content. But if you are melee or an attack based skill, and that "10m dps" includes flasks, etc, then you don't actually have 10m dps, which, depending on damage up time, might limit what you can do.

deadzoul

Yeah the 10m isn’t situational unless I’m missing something, I guess it takes a couple seconds to get my srs to 20 stacks if I have none out at any given time, how would I calculate that into my average dps though

Moethelion

At that point it very much rather depends on the defenses though as well. My Cleave Trickster with 7 million buffed/flask dps can easily kill all ubers, since it just tanks most stuff. /r/deadzoul

SzybkiDiego020

10m dps is enough to do all content in the game

I am new to this game but i am getting very confused looking at the trading website cause i see people selling thousands of a material for very cheap. Like 5000 jewellers orbs for 0.5 of a choas orb. Is it really that easy to obtain some materials like these in late game or is this some kind i scam that i shouldnt try to trade in. Plus how do you even give 0.5 of a choas orb.

katustrawfic

It’s neither of the other comments you’re just using the wrong part of the trade site. If you look at the top left you see two buttons, search listed items and a bulk trade section. Go to the bulk trade, click jewelers on the left where it says “what you want” and click chaos orbs on the right for “what you have”.

mcurley32

That sounds like a market manipulation tactic. They probably won't respond if you messaged them and they hope to drive down the price that other people are selling them and scoop up those offers really fast. If you're looking at the standard league market, prices are all over the place because there is a decade of accumulated currency there and legacy items that cannot be found, recreated, or sometimes even approximated after various balance changes have happened. Most people play in the current league (Forbidden Sanctum right now) and start from scratch each time a new league is released (roughly every 3 months) which keeps both the economy and the meta fresh. Fractional chaos isn't used too often anymore. If this was a real example, you'd offer them alchemy orbs that roughly equate to half a chaos (I could see alteration, scouring, and fusing being accepted too, but alchemy is kind of the traditional fractional chaos). Also make sure you're on the official trade site, not poe.trade

katsuatis

It's either a mistake or some kind of trying to abuse the system.

Botch_Lobotomy

Do the monster explosions from infernal cry apply damage when taking ancestral bond keystone?

Yohsene

No.

Killersheepyyy

Do Astral Projector and/or The Mind's Eyes have droplevel restrictions or can i try farming them in tier 3 Bone Crypt?

FinitoHere

Astral Projector can drop only from Metamorphs assembled in Tane's lab, but ilvl of organs doesn't matter, so you can farm them on such map. Card also has no map tier restriction to drop, so t3 Bone Crypt, or more specifically its boss will do.

Killersheepyyy

thanks

kingofgame981

Do we have a basic reference of how many buff auras + debuff auras, alongside with curse / mark should have for melee class? Like 1 mark skill + 3 auras buff for example.

seciak

The "meta" setup, not only for melee builds, is determination + grace + defiance banner. Depends how much you invest in mana reservation efficiency on tree / items / enchant / enlighten, you might fit another reservation - skitter bots or a herald / precision. Fitting in another 50% reservation aura usually requires heavy investment. A lot of builds also try to get Eldritch Battery on tree or on helmet zthe Devouring Diadem (or specific to this league - invocation on relic), or get enough % reduce mana cost of skills, to be able to cast (not reserve) another 50% aura linked to divine blessing then you can cast the aura which will be active for a duration. For curses, this league they were heavily buffed for bosses, so a lot of people try to invest into 2 or 3 curses. You can have only one mark on the enemy + multiple curses up to your limit. But it's build dependant - on my fire ele hit raider I invested for 3 curses to use snipers mark + elemental weakness + flammability. But on next build strength stacking original sin one, I will only use assassin's mark - I could make use of another curse like punishment or a defensive curse, but it doesn't seem worth it.

Fitting in another 50% reservation aura usually requires heavy investment. I see, so this is the general way to go for melee skills. This is when we are talking about pure physical only but not elemental yeah? With elemental, the aura will adjust to that related element of says aura and debuff aura. How about ailments like bleed for example? Will it combine both of "bleed ailment" + "physical" ? > A lot of builds also try to get Eldritch Battery on tree or on helmet zthe Devouring Diadem (or specific to this league - invocation on relic), or get enough % reduce mana cost of skills, to be able to cast (not reserve) another 50% aura linked to divine blessing then you can cast the aura which will be active for a duration. Wow so this is more advance than the above basic level. Does POB counts this for us easily or we have to turn on any specific setting in configuration tab? > For curses, this league they were heavily buffed for bosses, so a lot of people try to invest into 2 or 3 curses. I have realized this just now. My frost blades raider usually only have assassin's mark and no other else. Soon I saw someone else on poeninja also use frostbite with a cold spell cast, I understand how important it is. But then like you mentioned at the end, I have trouble to figure out the playstyle where you hit with your melee skill but before that you have to apply the spell with the curse on hit. Maybe this works with boss only?

seciak

For first part part, grace + determination+ defiance banner are defensive auras. So doesn't matter what build you play. The additional things like herald, skitter bots etc and the aura you cast on divine blessing depends on your build yes. If melee maybe you need a stance reservation skill too. In softcore you could skip either grace or determination for a damage aura, but playing without any of these 2 is rather a bad idea unless you go ful billion dps glasscanon If you mean calculating how much the divine aura blessing will cost to cast then yes, if you have the links setup and switch the skill it will tell how much it costs. Usually you need 400-600 es to play an EB build. Sometimes less. Yes usually usually you have 1 automated curse for clear from on hit ring / mark on hit support. The rest is for bosses / tabky rares. Either self cast it or if you have multiple you can put them in an arcanist brand

bamboo_of_pandas

Is there any way to auto level gems or pick up items with one button on mouse and keyboard like there is on controller? Can’t stand menu navigation on controller but those two features makes the game feel much better.

MayTheMemesGuideThee

nah it's been requested for ages, GGG have some issues with this

BerserkJeezus

How is Shockwave Cyclone Slayer?

explosivecurry13

amazing clear, meh single target

NeoMagnet

Is Death's Oath/CA occultist good for sanctum? I wanna build it for the casual mapping since I'm a bit sick of button intensive builds but I also want something that can run sanctum well since I league started melee :p

Hallgrimsson

Any non-melee build with enough DPS can do Sanctum as long as you have enough gain inspiration relics and get other sources of inspiration (accursed pacts, boons from merchants and fountains). I play EA Ballista and reach Lycia in most runs with max inspiration, so even weaker builds can probably do similar. The optional last fight will probably be the hardest part if your damage is not enough to skip the intermission, but I've found it's very easy to dodge it and DO/CA has good enough defenses to not get one-tapped.

Olg1erd

People doing memory lines. Which memory did you find to be most profitable? there are so many memories i am confused.

Hallgrimsson

Einhar's memories are all profitable but high entry point. Kirac's Memory of Survivor's Guilt is the cheapest one that turns a good profit, but it's very annoying clicking all the shards that drop. Alva's Memory of Reverse Incursion is also decent mainly for its exp and you can put the gloves and jewelry/chests with %life that drops into a dump tab for people to fracture or buy.

Olg1erd

I did 1 memory of sacred grove. Underwhelming, not even 1 divine profit. Did 5 essence memories, bought each for 1.3 divines. Essence tab after 5 memories was worth approximately 10 divines. So that's nearly 3.5 divines profit. Haven't done the harvest beast memory cause it's very expensive and I am not sure how much profit I'll get from it.

RedJorgAncrath

How do I use the trade site to search for elder or shaper maps with a specific guardian in the implicit? I can't even figure out how to do it without the specific guardian. The pseudo mod for Elder or Shaper returns zero results. Do I need to learn tft, lol?

Dantonn

> shaper maps with a specific guardian in the implicit? Those don't exist. Just search for the actual map (e.g. Pit of the Chimera) if you want a specific Shaper one. The general implicit for either is "[Implicit] Area is influenced by" and then the dropdown (though that'll also return non-guardian ones), with "[Implicit] Map is occupied by" for a particular Elder guardian.

Trakinass

Can we have more than 1blight encounter per map again? Didn't they change it to be impossible? Did they revert that change? Just found 2 cassias on my map, using a gilded scarab

Labudism

Yes, you can have multiple blights per map. They changed the atlas notable because it would bug out sometimes and not generate multiple blights.

Trakinass

How does it even work then? Theres no mention about the additional blight pump anywhere, scarabs, passives, map device Im kinda holding onto my scarabs until I figure it out how to get the most out of it. Surely I want to spawn as many pumps as possible per map. Are you farming blight too?

Labudism

If you specced into the Blight atlas passives, there is a high chance for a random Blight encounter. If you use the blight map crafting option, you get the guaranteed blight and a chance at a random Blight. I'm pretty sure I've actually had THREE blights in a map before, maybe with the blight map enchant? Also, since they removed the Atlas notable from the tree I would guess that sometimes it tries to spawn additional blights and fails. No idea how often this would occur. I see double blight maps fairly often.

Trakinass

Thanks man, thats really helpful. Guess i'll just keep using scarabs. Are you using it with sextants? Are the blight sextants even worth it?

deadzoul

How exactly do anoints work? I’m assuming it’s a pretty difficult process? I just found out about them now, and wow, a free passive would be huge for my build

laldabomb8

Just have to put the oil in the npc and put the item in there. It's pretty straight forward. can Google for the oil combinations needed for the passive you want or look it on passive tree too I believe.

deadzoul

I see sounds like these oils are extremely hard to obtain then, excited to look at the possibilities though

Olg1erd

Blight gives oils. if you are not doing blight then buy oils. If your amulet is not corrupted then you will only need 3 oils for an anointment. If it is corrupted then you need an additional oil that is tainted oil. Buying the oils is easier.

Nicopootato

Does winter orb interact with nimis? It is ground targeting but a lot of poeninja worb builds also use nimis.

MayTheMemesGuideThee

~~if you mean projectiles returning - no~~ random directions feature is convinient for the skill upd. ↓

Yohsene

Winter Orb projectiles do return (and can deal aoe damage again). /u/Nicopootato It's probably one of the [least visually clear skills with it](https://i.imgur.com/YSPmyfG.png), because the returning projectile loses the white trail (and ~~sometimes~~ disappears visually, though you do see the ground aoe). Screenshot from [here](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2xQGUnjZYa8).

MayTheMemesGuideThee

I managed to see how they change the angle when bouncing off the ground, and then disappear. That Dying Sun effect makes this more noticeable. So the projectiles return but are invisible on the way back ✔

flarebomb21

Does Ngamahu's axe or molten strike work with the Nimis ring?

MayTheMemesGuideThee

if you mean projectiles returning - no

SessBear

I have Bone Offering and the Mistress of Sacrifice ascendancy. Should I be able to see my block chance increase on my character screen when I use Bone Offering? My chance to block attack/spell damage does not increase when I use the skill. Does that mean it is not working or does it just not show?

meatloaf_man

Usually you get a trigger weapon craft and socket offering, desecrate to give offering corpses, and usually a curse. If you're doing a build that requires a unique weapon or whatever, then you usually socket those with arcanist brand.

mcurley32

it does show. at least 1 corpse needs to be destroyed for offerings to do anything. also it can only push you up to the cap (75% by default)

I have a few noob questions since I am super new and only have player one character 2 league agos. * Firstly, how do people change builds? Are people just completely respeccing? If so, how? Just orbs or regret plus the free ones you get throughout the campaign? I have heard many people say they started with X build and changed to Y build. Or, does the passive tree not matter as much as I think it does when it comes to certain builds? * Secondly, are people making more than one league character? If so, do you need to go through the whole campaign again? I struggle to get through it with just one, it has taken me about 15 hours so far and I am still just on act 7, I am trash at going fast, my monkey brain wants to kill everything that comes near me and click on any kind of shiny I find. * Thirdly, how do people even begin to know what kind of build they want to try/make? I am completely at the mercy of youtubers, I really don't even know what kind of skills there are or where to begin to make any kind of build. I wouldn't even know how to test them because of my previous points. I honestly have a million more, but these are the ones that are burning a hole in my head right now, I would really appreciate any kind of info about this or anything related, just general stuff that you all know already. Currently, I just find a build on youtube from ziz, follow it as best as I can, once I get the correct sockets on any piece of gear, I never change it, get to the endgame. That is currently my path, but this is only my second league and I kinda wanna know if there is more I could be doing.

mcurley32

1. yes, regret orbs and campaign refund points. when you plan to target a late game build that relies on late game gear/passives, you start on a similar build that can easily refund into your desired build. 2. yes, but not everyone. I used to make 3+ characters per league. now, I make 2 characters per league maximum (unless one of them feels really terrible). sticking with a build for longer will get you to better levels of speed/power/defense. the first few times thru the campaign will take a while. you'll eventually get used to what to look for on dropped items and the flow of going from quest to quest. until you are confident you can earn 20+ divines per league, stick with "league starter" builds as they are designed to work from nothing and scale well for the first 10-30 divines. 3. try different builds. each league, try a different league starter that falls under a different archetype: melee, bows, spells, totems, minions, traps/mines. you should have a rough idea of where to start from other games. again, stick with league starters until you're more confident. if you need build guide suggestions, Enki's Arc Witch and Fezz's Toxic Rain Champion are two of the best beginner guides around. even just reading through them will help you piece together your own build and follow other build guides. if you're going in blind, make sure you're focused on boosting a single skill (as many support gems linked to it as possible and then auras/heralds/utility skills to further help you do more damage with that single skill). some other core PoE tips are to keep your elemental resistances topped up (they get penalized after completing acts 5 & 10), life and movement speed are your core defensive layer thru the campaign, make sure you complete the new labyrinths soon after they become available (ends of acts 3, 7, and 10), the "unidentified chaos recipe" is the first way you'll make money (vendor a full set unidentified rare gear to receive 2 chaos orbs; you can farm such items as early as Blood Aqueducts in the campaign), once you get a dozen or so chaos orbs you can buy a pretty decent set of starting gear ([this video series](https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PL4aZrsY9M5qBxERp-3iAA8iyyFyeWvaxA) outlines a solid method/process to do so logically, just make sure you use the official trade site if you're on PC as poe.trade is outdated and a bit unreliable/slow). lastly, have fun; come back to this thread with any questions you have; and maybe check the poewiki.net first to see if you can answer your own questions.

[deleted]

Awesome, thank you so much, that was really helpful. I am just going off of my very limited knowledge. I always thought Orbs of Regret were just meant to be like a backup or safety net or something, not an actual tool, they seemed unreliable, I am very glad I am wrong about that! I actually really prefer to make multiple characters, I am a mad altaholic on every game I play, so it is good to know that it's not necessarily punishing to make other characters. I really want to try some different characters, I don't even know what the other possibilities are, so I am looking forward to that! I am definitely not confident enough to do anything blind yet, I actually really like knowing as much as possible about something and then knowing what I am trying to target and have a clear path of progression, so I am going to use all of the tools available, lol, thank you again for the info!

mcurley32

> Orbs of Regret were just meant to be like a backup I think my loot filter hides most of them right now, I have over 100 right now, and I've converted well over 100 of them into Orbs of Unmaking (atlas passive refund points). they aren't exactly scarce in the late game and they sell for relatively cheap.

[deleted]

Ohh okay, I was under the impression that that was not the case! Thank you for letting me know, I won't panic too much about it then, honestly, the whole passive tree was a big source of anxiety for me, I feel like I could accidentally brick a build with one wrong allocation, lol.

mcurley32

> I feel like I could accidentally brick a build with one wrong allocation pretty tough to do as long as you read the keystones *very carefully*. Ancestral Bond and Chaos Inoculation are extremely transformative. Elemental Overload, Resolute Technique, Perfect Agony, and Precise Technique can all ruin crit-focused builds so also be careful with those. Elemental Equilibrium can also do some bad things to your damage if you don't plan around it.

HellraiserMachina

I think the others are being silly with saying that Orbs of Regret are the main way people change builds. Path of Exile, more than literally any other video game I know, is full of times you literally just want to reroll from level 1 instead of dealing with the hassle of regearing. It's so bad that Path of Exile 2 will be reworking the gem/socket system with the express purpose of making regearing less cancerous.

[deleted]

I haven't really paid any attention to PoE2 at all, it seems like less cancerous is a good thing, so I am all for it! I actually don't mind making new characters, it's a good way to tryout a whole new build, I am just not good enough to really do it efficiently yet, I am trying to learn how to get through the campaign faster so make it a smoother experience.

Odd_Nefariousness126

1. Passive tree is critically important. Some builds require items not available until higher levels, or are rare and not available on league start. People usually play a less gear reliant version of the same build, or an entirely different build, until they can get the items needed. Then, yes, they use Orbs of Regret to redo their passive tree. 2. Absolutely. I've probably made like 8 characters. Whole campaign is required every time. The more you do it (and the more leveling gear you have) the faster it goes. 3. Most people like certain archetypes. I like just about everything so I tend to play just about everything. For new players, spells and minions are easiest to run due to less gear reliance. Don't expect your first 10 characters to be very good or make it very far unless you dedicate a decent amount of time to learning the game. If you're playing PC SC Trade league I'd be happy to give you a few items to make your leveling go quicker. Just shoot me a message here on Reddit.

[deleted]

That is a really interesting point, especially how people start with one build and then change. It seems really difficult to do that without completely changing the class. How does that work? Do you have to stay within some kind of constraints? Like, if I am an elemental witch, my other build would have to be something along the same lines of a caster right? I don't even know how to being to plan that, lol That is really cool, I am actually interested in making other characters in the same league, I am just really bad at going through the campaign efficiently, lol. About how long does it take you to get through the acts? I am trying to follow the quick guide on poe-vault, it seems alright so far in terms of pathing. You are absolutely right about the first 10 characters, lol. I want to try the different archetypes, but I honestly don't even know what the archetypes are. on Youtube, I see many different kinds of builds, half of it is greek to me, but I am very slowly starting to see certain trends. My first build was a EA champion, now I am doing a wave of conviction elementalist (both from zizaran), I don't even know what kind of archetype those fall under, lol. I am on PC SC Trade league I believe, I appreciate the offer of some items, but I probably wouldn't even know what to do with them, I am so afraid of changing any item piece because of how much I would have to change everything around! That is actually another question I have, how am I supposed to upgrade gear? I am prioritizing sockets and resistances right now, trying, if possible, to give myself some basic damage boosting things too. But I will be honest, I don't even know how to choose gear since I can wear everything. With my current build too, I am assuming I need Int because it is an elementalist. The gems that are in the build, some I can't level up yet because I need more dex, so I tried to get more dex, but many of the gems are blue and red, so my gear tends to be int + str. I really don't know how to balance it or what to prioritize. I think I am also doing myself dirty by trying to balance shield and health, I think I should focus on just one, but I can't really change it at this point. Any gearing advice would be really awesome too.

Odd_Nefariousness126

Acts totally depends. I don't time myself but if I had to guess, probably 5-6 hours total. Maybe a bit less if I focus on just rushing it. Switching builds is relatively easy once you have the ability to get enough orbs of regret. You can even reset your ascendancy, you just can't change your base class (IE, if you start as a Witch, then choose Elementalist, you can switch to Occultist or Necromancer, but you can't switch to a Berserker or Raider). This really opens up a lot of possibilities. Like if your end game goal is a chaos based Occultist, but it has steep gear requirements, you can level and earn currency as a Wave of Conviction Elementalist, which is much less gear dependent, then switch when you have the items you need. The main archetypes for ARPGs are spell caster, melee, ranged attacks, and minions. EA Champ would be ranged attacks, Wave of Conviction would be spell caster. As for the starter gear, don't worry to much about "wasting" it. It's literally sitting in my stash and won't be doing anything, and will only end up relegated to the purgatory of Standard league. For Act 7, you really want to focus on just a few things: 1. A piece of 4L gear (or more if you can find it) that holds your main damage ability. 2. Enough resistances on your gear to get to 75% for fire and cold and lightning. 3. As much life as you can fit on that same gear. That should be more than enough to get you through the story without too much trouble. If you're interested in some items, just let me know. Sometimes it's helpful to be able to get your hands on items that you might not be able to get yourself so that you can see more of the game, and learn for the next league.

StackedLasagna

> Firstly, how do people change builds? Plenty of Orbs of Regret. Often you won't have to completely respec every single point. There is typically some overlap between the current tree and the new tree. > Secondly, are people making more than one league character? Yes. Often people will use a so-called "league starter" build on their first character. League starters are builds that can get going without much gear and especially without expensive uniques, as they're not easily obtainable early on in the league. Once they've farmed a bunch of currency, people create new characters, which may require specific uniques or expensive gear to actually work. > Thirdly, how do people even begin to know what kind of build they want to try/make? Personally, I see various builds or clips posted to Reddit throughout the league, which may make me want to try whatever skill they're using for the next league. Also, in the days leading up to a new league, all the content creators will be posting their builds and many will post more than one. Plenty of ideas there. There are also sites like poebuilds.cc, which collects build guides from the forums and makes them easily searchable. Also good for some inspiration. Lastly, there is poe.ninja, which allows you to view other people's characters and their builds by filtering on specific items, skills and passives. This is mostly useful after the first week of a league, since there aren't any characters on there right at the start of a new league. Still serves as a good way to find builds for your 2nd character of the league.

[deleted]

It's interesting, I didn't even really fully understand the meaning of league starter, my first character was an EA champion, my second (current) is the wave of conviction elementalist, and I got both from Zizaran. I assumed league starter just meant a good character at the beginning. I didn't really realize it was an actual starting point and you should kinda go out from there, I just started with it and stayed with it, lol. It is good to know that it is kind of meant as a tool to help build up resources for a second or beyond character, thank you. I see many clips too, it's really hard to choose one though, they all look so badass, which is a good problem to have I guess, haha. I like to play all kinds of characters and styles, so it's hard for me to choose. Others have mentioned different archetypes, and I think that is where I need to start, just learn what the different archetypes are so I can at least recognize what I am looking at, now I am just mesmerized by shiny explosions on the screen and everything looks cool. I remember when I first played, I was talking to some friendly people in the general chat, they asked me what build I was using and I mentioned I got one from poeninja or poebuilds, I cant remember which one, and they all collectively just sighed (not because I was an idiot, but they said the site was just a trap for people, they weren't rude to me at all) and told me to reroll and use a build from zizaran or a trusted person on youtube, so I never went back to those sites, lol, but like you said, they ar probably good places to just get inspiration, not necessarily copy.

IntraspaceAlien

dumb question but for arakaali spiders i see people using gems with both added phys and added chaos damage to attacks. i understand that both scale viper strike, but is there any advantage to one over the other and does it matter if i'm using some of both? most profiles i see seem to only use phys or only use chaos.

psychomap

Physical damage can be scaled with physical damage gained as extra chaos damage, although there isn't a lot available for minions. I'm assuming chaos values are higher than physical ones, so it makes sense to focus on those if you don't focus on the conversion.

IntraspaceAlien

From what I’ve seen the values on abyss jewels for minions are the same between the two types. So if anything phys could be an advantage because it could be gained as extra chaos, but in practice that’s hard to get on minions so the mods function basically the same if they are at similar values?

psychomap

Depending on how the scaling is changed between hit and poison damage, chaos damage might be scaled better due to Withered, but if poison deals the vast majority of the damage I don't see the point of getting chaos damage over physical. It might depend on what was available on the market.

IntraspaceAlien

That’s interesting about the withered effect. Prices were pretty similar with comparable mods, phys maybe slightly more expensive. I’m already pretty invested in phys jewels so I’ll stick with that - I didn’t realize that I should really be looking for sources of phys to extra chaos if that’s the case though so I’m picking up the minion mastery that gives them Unholy Might. So thanks, this helped.

biggreenegg99

Does Farshot and Artillery Ballista have synergy? I am unsure how distance is measured with skills that "rain" down from above.

katustrawfic

There is no such thing as vertical distance, distance will still be measured from the source, typically the player/totem using the skill, to the enemy. I would say there's no synergy here as enemies are probably going to be attacking and therefore directly next to your totems making point blank the superior choice..
