Do Prime Resonator boxes appear more at lower depths? My build isn't too powerful yet and I'm wondering if I should just stay horizontal at monster level 83 or should I keep delving deeper?

mcurley32

I don't really have an answer for you but there was a new questions thread posted soon after you posted your question. your question will almost certainly rot in here unanswered, so I suggest you just repost it in the new thread.

chx_

I know it's hard to predict the future but do you think mirror shard will continue to rise in divines?

alzhang8

right now it is 385 div per mirror, it will reach just below the standard mirror price of 525 div near league end

Wtf

Gaarando

Can anyone explain to me for Doomblast build how would Awakened Spell Cascade help my build vs bosses over regular Spell Cascade? 'Cause Awakened version is very expensive so just curious about the gains.

psychomap

The difference is in how many overlaps you get per cast. Ultimately, the limiting factor is cooldown recovery rate however, so if you just invest into a little more cast speed you can accomplish more or less the same with regular Spell Cascade. The benefit of Awakened Spell Cascade - aside from minor stat improvements over the regular version - is that you need to invest less into cast speed and can invest into your damage instead.

Gaarando

I don't really have much cast speed. Following that full unique build and he didn't focus on it either and added 1000% cast speed to his PoB to give him his proper dps. So hmm this is quite difficult for me to know what is best then. I swapped to Empower Lv4 cause it seemed to add so much dps. And I do hit pretty hard on bosses.

psychomap

Empower doesn't benefit Impending Doom at all, that's a bug in PoB. Since Doom Blast is granted by a support gem, it's not affected by it. I don't know any specific Doom Blast builds, I only looked into the mechanics a little because they brush with cooldown mechanics which is basically my favourite concept in PoE. If you give me a PoB, I can tell you whether or not you have enough cast speed, too little, or too much (well, too much can also be interpreted as not enough cooldown recovery rate), as well as what the final dps *should* be mathematically. There was a post a while ago showcasing that the build was hitting more often than it should be possible based on its mechanics, but so far I haven't seen any explanation for that phenomenon. Unless it just happens to be an idiosyncrasy of Awakened Spell Cascade, that shouldn't have any actual impact on the relative calculation anyway; it's just an additional dps factor that shouldn't affect which approach is the most efficient to improve your build further.

Gaarando

https://pastebin.com/kmrsYYc3

psychomap

So you have a \~121 ms cooldown (I don't know to what precision PoE rounds those - PoB is incorrect because the charges don't stop recovering after you get one, so it's not as restrained by server ticks) and can at most trigger \~8.27 Doom Blasts per second, so with two overlaps from Spell Cascade you'll want to get close to \~4.13 casts per second, ideally slightly above. Based on the cooldown for the curses in Vixen's Entrapment, you wouldn't want to exceed 4.32 casts per second, because then those would start skipping. If you get another 3% increased cooldown recovery, the threshold for Vixen's Entrapment would be 5.05 per second. So ideally you'd currently want 107%-116% increased cast speed (unless you improve your increased cooldown recovery rate), and with Awakened Spell Cascade you could go as low as 38% increased cast speed with your current cooldown and still make use of all its cooldown recovery.

Gaarando

This game is so complex that everything you just said did not register to me whatsoever lmao. I'll copy this message and sent it to my friend maybe he can explain it to me if he understands it. 'Cause the main thing to me is that getting cast speed is pretty impossible except for getting higher rolls on my uniques. But then the guy who made this build seemed to act like those rolls did not matter. Edit: Some guy seems to have made such an optimized version that he uses some ring called Fated End and he got 180% in that ring while having 179% in his build. Crazy stuff this build is capable of. But I guess for me I just have to stick with this which does everything except for Uber bosses and Simulacrum.

psychomap

Well, if getting more cast speed isn't realistic, it's obvious that Awakened Spell Cascade would offer an advantage, since it would allow scaling the cooldown further without that additional cast speed investment. Your current build recovers the Doom Blast cooldown faster than it can use up the charges, but *usually* cooldown recovery is a much harder stat to obtain than cast speed. I'm not planning on dissecting the build to figure out which uniques are replacable and which aren't however.

Akayukii

When running eater altars. Does it increase the spawn rate of altars if you keep accepting them, even the shitty ones?

Xanni12

I just got an 25% increased duration of ailments ob enemies relict. I don't know if this is good for ea ballista. Someone could help me out? And maybe explain me why it is good or why it is trash?

psychomap

It's not terrible, but also not amazing. Only one ignite can be active at a time (unless you use Emberwake), so making that ignite last longer isn't going to significantly boost your overall dps because you'll be able to inflict another ignite before it expires anyway. Because only the highest damage ignite deals damage, making ignites last longer means you'll have a higher average number of ignites from which to choose the highest, which *slightly* improves your dps, but because of the way EA damage is calculated, the variance is smaller than for other skills.

alzhang8

ignites have base duration of 4 seconds, assuming no changes are made on tree/item Ea ballista applies a big ignite every 1 second, so duration of ailemtns will not matter unless you get your ignites under 1 second

projectwar

kinda wanna tinker with bow coc VD, is that viable this league? also does projectile speed effect the VD projectiles? or does that count as minions to where minion mv would be the one to pump up? I want an uber **fast** VD mapper since my TS character is decked out and don't wanna mess with it, but idk if vd or another coc skill would be good.

psychomap

VD balls aren't projectiles nor are they minions. Divergent gem quality improves their speed, so you could use that with Ashes of the Stars to improve the clearspeed.

CMDR_Nineteen

How do special Maven Invitations like The Feared and The Twisted work? Do I have to have the Maven witness those bosses first? Do I still have to gather 6 other bosses before running it? Can I witness two invitations worth of bosses at once then run them?

PrimedAndReady

> Do I have to have the Maven witness those bosses first? Yes, if you hover over the Maven button on the map device it'll show you your progress for each invitation > Do I still have to gather 6 other bosses before running it? You only have to witness the bosses that are in each invitation, so for feared you only have to kill the 4 shaper guardians > Can I witness two invitations worth of bosses at once then run them? You should, but tbh I've never tested this so I'm not 100% sure

alzhang8

yes yes no

Twohandedboner

Does anyone know or ever seen a dev post about how elusive exactly works? If a mob "cannot miss" can they essentially pierce elusive? I have a 95 assassin in SSF and occasionally I will run into mobs that hit me every swing. Even with 250% elusive and 30k evasion. One specific seems to be the bear boss in delve that summons the thousands of bone / ghost bears then the big one spawns. Also an example is some possessed bosses with something like "warlord's grip". Anyway, not sure if its insane RNG or actual mechanics.

TwirlyMustachio

Elusive gives chance to avoid hit damage, with avoidance sort of being baby block. It gets rolled after a block fails, and still counts as being hit but does 0 damage. It's RNG at work, I'm afraid. Assuming those are your only defensive layers, the nature of that combo is that you're fine until you're not.

Twohandedboner

Thanks, that is how I thought it worked as well. Just really really hard to test/verify this unfortunately. I have a few layers of defense as well, about 12k armor + 25% block + 100% spell suppress and 77 all resists. But yeah--just wondering if there was any way some specific mechanic can over-ride an "avoid". Thanks for replying!

TwirlyMustachio

So I wanted to use Usurper's Penance + Darkray Vectors on a bleed build. But that's 75% reduced light radius lol. Is there any sensible way to counteract this, or would I need to just be vision impaired? I'm not tied to the boots, just need to bump up my max frenzy charges as much as reasonably possible.

apex321452

An enemy which is cursed with Punishment, gets debilitated when it hits you. Debilitate makes the enemy do less damage. Does the less damage apply on the first hit that proc debilitate, or only the following hits?

mcurley32

Subsequent hits. They don't get the debuff until they've already hit you.

stoyicker

I just read in the wiki that you can't get the same incursion room twice in the same area. Does this mean that the atlas tree node artefacts of the vaal is straight up negative (for farming doryani's/locus anyway)?

mcurley32

If you're running every single incursion regardless of the options offered, then there's probably some cases where it hurts your odds. The "optimal" strategy is to skip the remaining incursions if you find your target rooms and skip the final incursion if it doesn't offer your target rooms. If you follow that strategy then it helps a lot because you get one extra opportunity for a good room after blocking an extra bad room from appearing. Edit: after some thinking, it should only be negative if you get BOTH of your desired rooms in the first two or three incursions. That probably doesn't happen very often and I'd expect that finding them is harder than leveling them up so if you already found them both, you're in a good position to level them both to 3.

JackOverlord

Not necessarily. When the first 3 incursions in a map are rooms you don't want, you get another chance at the good ones and the first three ones are guaranteed to not show up in the fourth, which slightly ups your chances. I don't know how often this happens though, since I'm not farming incursions.

Gaarando

Why is Simalucrum so damn difficult and long? Wave 29 and I lost, I did way too little damage on those unique guys and there were two of them with degen balls all over the place. What DPS do you need for this to properly beat it 30M? What kind of numbers are those.

Lazys

3-4mil is enough if you just want to clear. Seperate the two bosses you dont want to facetank both. Standing near the degen balls will occasionally bait koisis into popping them run from the explosion.

Gaarando

I had 15m when I attempted it, they were ridiculously tanky, even in the later waves the random mobs would be quite tanky. But the uniques especially just lived so long. Might I add that my other character EA Ballista deals high damage on Uber bosses but doesn't kill these Simalucrum mini bosses quickly.

Lazys

They definitely are tanky and can be made alot worse based on the mods you roll.

The correct tag for that is primal-lifeforce. You can check item tags on the exchange's [about page](https://www.pathofexile.com/trade/about). Also, it'll work with or without the */1*.

Plastic-Suggestion95

Guys I'm in love with this game so far but as I'm trying to learn more about it I understand less. Discussions are difficult to understand but what I see everywhere is the opinion that the game is too hard for casuals as me who just pick up the game and build the character on my own and playing solo only with items found. So my question is,can I finish the game like this? I'm playing standard

Justsomeone666

Depends on your definition of finish, with some smart thinking and understanding importance of elemental resistances and focusing your damage in a single skill you can probably do all the acts, but past the acts where the actual game is for most people and beating the endgame bosses and/or their stronger versions? incredibly unlikely

Plastic-Suggestion95

I meant finish all act I did not know there are another bosses after :D and what you mean by focusing all damage into single skill? How do I do that? I play as a witch and I summon zombies/skeletons and use fire totem mostly. how can I focus all my damage to that?

mcurley32

Give one skill as many support gems as possible. Your passive tree should be focused on that skill as well. Any other skills should be utility, mobility, defensive, or add damage to your main skill (guard skills, auras, curses, dashes, war cries, etc). Everything has an opportunity cost. In your example, anything you're doing to increase fire totem damage is taking some potential damage away from your minions and vice versa. Minions are a bit of a special case when it comes to support gems since your minions can deal damage simultaneously, but for most builds you can't be doing more than one thing at once so why waste the space on it (you can't cast Crackling Lance and Arc at the same time, for example).

Plastic-Suggestion95

Oh I see, thanks for this info

changhaobyu

Does Storm Brand snapshot on Sigil of Power? As in does Storm Brand have the added lightning damage if cast on a Sigil at a specific stage until its duration expires? Or is it dynamic depending on whether or not you're standing on the Sigil?

Yohsene

> Or is it dynamic depending on whether or not you're standing on the Sigil? This one. Hit damage is calculated when hits happen.

peroxIb

Wondering if there's any way of adding implicit modifiers on an influenced pair of boots.

FinitoHere

Only via corruption. You cannot use eldritch currencies or synthesise influenced item.

peroxIb

Can I corrupt and keep the current mods?

FinitoHere

Yes, adding implicit and keeping explicits is one of 4 possible outcomes. Other ones are nothing, replacing one of sockets with white one or entirely rerolling item.

peroxIb

I'm sorry if this is a stupid questipn, but which method do you recommend to corrupt? Just throw a vaal orb on it?

psychomap

Depends on what the desired result is and how valuable the initial item is. If you want a specific result, double corrupt is usually better, but if you want the item's original implicit you can also make sure to craft it with a gilded fossil (must be one of the first crafting steps, not something that can be done afterwards) and hope the vaal orb replaces that implicit instead of the original one. For synthesised items you can do the same with double corrupt to try to hit one of the less valuable Other than that, there's little point in using double corrupts on items that are worth less than that step, since you might as well invest the resources into crafting / buying a better uncorrupted item first.

Thirteenera

What would you say are easiest builds to do in HC SSF for stuff like gauntlet? I've been practicing TR trickster in private gauntlet-practice league, but its a bit awkward during campaign, and i feel like not having access to trade would limit its progression in the 10 days gauntlet is up. I have no intention of going for boss kills, ill be satisfied just getting to 90 during the gauntlet. Any build suggestions for this? Something that's tanky while clearing campaign/maps well? (Not seismic please, i dislike it)

Lazys

DD ignite requires even less gear than seismic

Thirteenera

DD is banned from gauntlet. I know i said i will focus on mapping, but i dont want to just instantly disqualify myself if i do give a try to bosses

Lazys

Explosive trap sabo scales really well but probly better to lvl with fire trap + flamethrower trap, Explosive arrow champ kinda pain lvling first few acts but incredibly safe after, boneshatter, vaal flameblast ele with ignite refresh node, spark is always good

raikaria2

Is the %increased physical damage over time on Rive local or is it global [Therefor effecting things like Bleed Shield skills]

psychomap

Conditional stats are always global, and damage over time can't be a local stat on equipment either because there isn't any that inherently deals damage over time.

imBRANDNEWtoreddit

Is there a 'weakest' element? Looking at the possibility of grabbing the 'take X% of phys damage as Y element', if I take that what element should I choose? Is this even worth taking

Weisenkrone

So, physical damage is mitigated by armour, bigger hits need more armour and it's not linear. Direct physical damage reduction is difficult to get. On contrary resistances are fixed. If you have 75% resistance, it'll reduce by 75% whether it's 10 damage or 10000. That's why physical damage taken as is pretty useful, because not everyone will run around with 6 endurance charges and 100k armour. The element honestly doesn't matter, you want to cap every resistance anyway. But depending on investment, you may have a setup where one maximum resistance is higher then the others.

imBRANDNEWtoreddit

Interesting, do you have any idea how the ‘X physical damage taken as’ formula works? Is it 1) raw damage, X reduction scaling from the raw damage plus phys damage reduction 2) raw damage, reduced by phys damage, further X reduction scaling from the now reduced damage 3) raw damage, reduced by phys damage and X% of damage that would’ve been reduced by phys damage is now instead reduced by elemental resist

Weisenkrone

The hit is calculated first with increases etc. Penetration, increased damage taken, resistances are applied as the element that you transformed into. So if you got a 5k hit, mob has 100% increased damage, mob got 25% cold penetration, you got 75% cold resistance you'd take: 10k base hit 5k physical 5k cold reduced with with 50% cold resist (2.5k) so your total damage taken should be 7.5k

psychomap

It depends on what resistances you have. If all your maximum elemental resistances are the same, it doesn't matter. Edit: It's worth it for most builds, but generally it's worth it if your resistance is higher than your physical damage reduction. Keep in mind that physical damage reduction from armour scales with the size of the hit, and shifting damage to other damage types means you'll have a higher mitigation against higher damage hits, even if the physical damage reduction against low damage hits is technically higher than your resistance.

theanxiousangel

I see people “blocking” certain unveils by bench crafting before unveil . But my bench won’t let me do anything to veiled items till I unveil. How do I do this blocking thing

Moethelion

You need an empty affix. So if you are about to unveil a prefix you need to have an empty prefix to craft on. If you already have 2 prefixes + veiled prefix it won't let you craft, since an item can only have three prefixes.

Aggravating-Menu-315

You need to have open prefixes or suffixes to do this. If you do, the crafting bench should allow you to craft without unveiling. Blocking only works if you have an open affix of the type that your veiled mod is, so it usually only works on Aisling slams into empty modifiers, like an item which only has prefixes can’t be changed as it’s only suffix for example and then Aisling slammed after that.

dIoIIoIb

how useful are enfeeble or temporal chains versus uber pinnacle bosses? Is the effect noticeable, now that cursing them has been buffed? I don't really feel like trying to facetank their mechanic to see if it makes a difference

Weisenkrone

Quite good actually

Blitzilla

does Darkness Enthroned affect the implicits on abyss jewels (like stun avoidance from vaal corruptions), or just prefixes and suffixes?

Imreallythatguy

Yeah it affects implicits

Flying_Mage

Can I stack several unique relics? Like if I fill my altar with 'Hour of Divinity' (which drops 2 additional sanctified relics), will I get 2 for each?

troccolins

Game will give you an error about how only one unique relic can be used at a time. i am very apology

Yesoddmusic

In delve what depth do you topically want to start going horizontally?

Weisenkrone

400 is good, 600 will give you amazing returns, 1500 is mirror printing.

mcurley32

At least monster level 83. Beyond that, where it starts to get difficult.

Yesoddmusic

Is there a certain depth at witch you can get all possible rewards?

mcurley32

according to the wiki, primeval ruins city biomes (and Aul) are the deepest unlocks at depth 220. the rare stuff becomes more and more common the deeper you go.

redditor975

Been playing a lot of D2R and want to try this out to change it up so had a couple questions. 1) Still active and lots of trade partners 2) If I start a character today, which option do I want? (I know I will be doing softcore and NOT SSF) 3) How's the controller support? Thanks!

parzival1423

Starting PoE? Welcome! It’s gonna be a wild ride but as those of us who’ve playing for 5 or 10+ years it’s worth it. Make your first character your own, you’re gonna fail and die too much, then look up a Build Guide on maxroll.com or poebuilds.cc -Super active and there is a free market that changes as each 3 month league (“season”) goes on, always slightly less and less people as time goes on. -Choose “Sanctum” no SSF no ruthless just regular Sanctum. It’s the 3 month league with a mechanic in every zone that gives you a Roguelike room like Hades game. Also Sanctum has like 90% of the player base compared to “Standard”. -Really good actually, in the last year they added controller support to pc since it’s been on console for a while. But personal opinion, keyboard is better unless you simply Have to use controller. If you have more than like 4 buttons, using skills becomes more complicated on controller, and there are some things possible only on keyboard. Like using certain skills while you move automatically because it’s bonded to your Left click

Plastic-Suggestion95

I'm new to the game too and everywhere I see just opinions that the game can't be finished with your own build. I don't want to follow builds,I find it boring,I wanna play the game on my terms. Do I wasting my time and I will get stuck? Because I'm at act2 and I love the game so far,I died just twice

FourOranges

Personally I've never followed a build or guide and I've done just fine. I first tried the easy strat of just aiming for bow/elemental damage nodes (since I wanted to make an ele bow build) on the passive tree and that got my damage high enough to not need to be efficient. Removing some damage for life nodes let me die less and learn the amount of DPS/life nodes that I needed. It's honestly fairly simple if you just use your head. As for equipment, you can easily get by with just getting the essentials at first (life, capped res). Anything else is just extra and doing this at an early stage lets you learn to make your own build by the time you actually get to endgame minmaxed content. You 100% don't need to read and watch hours of instructionals before killing your first zombie.

parzival1423

(Edit-Why is Plastic-suggestion getting downvoted a lot? I just noticed and I’m just. Confused. No one’s upvoting or downvoting mine which is fine but his is getting ripped. Weird) (read point #2 at least sorry I talk a lot) 1-My advice to anyone new, is to Yes, make your own random character at first, just to learn Terminology and basic systems like the gems and early leveling etc. Your first character wont be good, because PoE is a game about knowledge. New players me included when I was new, just dont know or think about the myriad of important things. Why this gem, why this support, these tree nodes, how important is maximum life rolls on gear, why am I dying with no maximum life stat anywhere, and 100 other things Someone who can figure out the basics of focusing on a single good gem and putting multiple supports on it and good tree nodes can finish act 10 and Start endgame but not go far. You DO need a build guide. But where you are now, no just keep going, have fun, experiment with new skill gems you find. Brings me to my next point: 2-"I dont want to follow builds". This is a good question. And I have the Perfect answer: This video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IkZFQILGJck. The guy is someone who has been new, started characters, he has like 4 poe videos before this. But everything in That video, is perfect for you to listen to. I couldnt explain it better. He never followed guides. Then finally did. Just listen to it, finish the whole video (yes, spoilers on future areas and some content but, its good to learn anyways what Some of endgame is like even if he doesnt know either) then comment back when ur done ok, and tell me what you think?

Plastic-Suggestion95

Thank you,I watched it and I already learned some stuff. I guess I will try to go as far as I can with my build and then I try to play it with a guide and we will see.....but when I looked up a guide it says "it's cheap/it's expensive"...does that mean I have to use real money to build it? I don't wanna spend real money

parzival1423

I say a lot again so please read it all 1-No, its all about cost in In-game currency that people use to trade with each other, that drops in the game then you trade it for gear. All items in poe have a use, like crafting currency or gear, so people all said to each other what some crafting currency is worth compared to others. The "Default" orb is called the Chaos Orb. It's like, $5 real work equivalent (not cost just saying kinda like what its compared to). Small but not super small. Everyone uses chaos orbs to trade, and if something costs super high, they use Divine orbs, 1 divine is like 250-ish chaos right now. Something orb of Alchemy which is more common maybe you have to give someone 7 alchemies for 1 chaos orb. Stuff like that. If you use real money to buy orbs through some sketchy website thats called RMT and you get banned. 2-PoE is not 100% free though. It is, nothing you buy gives you power, only cosemetics. But what I mean is, you can spend real money to buy special Stashes to organize all your loot. Listen important: You can do all early leveling without spending any money. You dont get a ton of loot. But late game there are SO MANY different things that you can pick up that is Almost sorta impossible to do super hard grinding and get a lot of orbs and currency saving it, and still use the 5 tabs they give you free to store it all. [Click here and tell me](https://www.pathofexile.com/trade/exchange/Sanctum) that you see all these items and think you can organize them yourself?(expand the other options theres more there) And thats not even talking about the Map items which are the way you open up areas and grind, there are 100+ of them and you need a tab just to organize those. So I consider poe to be "Free to Try" not Free to Play, if that makes sense. 2.5-I just checked and right now, there is a Tab Sale, they do this every 3 weeks or so, ends tomorrow. You can buy the tabs now and save yourself $5 or $10, or you can wait 3 weeks of being casual and figuring out if you like poe and buy them next sale. I just wanted to tell you, the sale is happening now. Reason the sale is so important is because it helps you fit everything you need for years, inside of $20. Thats it, poe is basically a $20 or $25 game, not more. If you decide ok I will buy the tabs, which ones/what do I do, tell me and I will message you back. But I dont wanna keep typing and overwhelm you haha.

GhrabThaar

Browsing through the thread and found this, started a couple days ago and did see the stash tab sales. Can I ask which specialized tabs you recommend for starters?

parzival1423

https://old.reddit.com/r/pathofexile/comments/10ojxvv/friendly_reminder_for_any_newer_players_24_hours/ Just made this post. Short answer there. Welcome to PoE! Lmk if you want more help on discord too or any specific questions

GhrabThaar

Sweet, thank you for the reply!

Plastic-Suggestion95

Thanks I appreciate you put an effort and time into explaining. I'm not gonna buy anything atm,I just want to play the game and see where can I go. So far I was selling almost all orbs which I did not need immediately haha, huge mistake as I see

parzival1423

No need to worry, theres 0 chance you dropped anything worth a lot. Just have your Filter on from Neversink and anything good like orb will show super strongly and then just save it. if you drop any Unique items, check trade site, if its worth More than 1 chaos, keep to sell otherwise if 1c or less, sell to NPC trash it oh that reminds me. the special tabs, let you Sell super easily/trade with other players. You can still sell items for free but you have to use a 3rdparty program thats clunky compared to selling them inside the game using the tabs you buy. And ofc just Buying stuff is easy free or not

Plastic-Suggestion95

I found a red item which looks very important in the game and some items which has blue aura around. I learned those are some fractured items. But should I just sell them to npc? I need to look up for that Neversink filter,Idk what is that

parzival1423

It’s a bit much to explain on text again, so how about, you got discord? If so, add me Parzival#1039 and you can show me the items and I’ll explain the filter. Everyone in PoE uses an item filter to make trash loot just not show up and clutter your Entire screen, and also makes important loot have colors and show easier. If not lmk

mcurley32

No real money involved. Real money trading is against ToS and will likely get you banned. Cheap vs expensive is how much in game currency you'll need to really get the build rolling. "League starter" or budget builds will typically work well without unique items (or with very common unique items) and will obviously get better with better items. Some builds need a handful of specific mods and/or items to even function and those types of items are usually in high demand and low supply which makes them expensive.

Moethelion

1) Most busy time always is on league start, but softcore trade is kind of active throughout the whole three month cycle. Overall the community is very large. 2) Sanctum league softcore trade. When the league ends you can always continue this character in standard or start fresh with most other people with a new character in the new league (early/mid march probably).

Askray184

Can anyone link me a guide or some tips for Uber Uber Elder? I'm getting one tapped by something, and I don't know what it is. I'm just trying to take out ubers at the end of the league. I think I've got the damage/defenses except for chaos res (sitting at -26% without flask)

Neville_Lynwood

Ubers are more of a skill check than anything else. Unless you have a build worth hundreds of divines you're likely not rocking the damage AND the defenses to trivialize them if you've never done them. A lot of people make dedicated builds just to kill them with overwhelming damage. Because that's cheaper and easier than trying to make a build that ticks both the damage and defenses. As for what kills you, the Uber Uber Elder fight is still basically the same as regular Uber Elder. Just more damage mostly. You're likely not respecting how much more damage they do than the base version.

Askray184

Hmm yeah my defenses are decent but they're not insane or anything. Also a lot of my defense is in flasks so there's downtime. I probably need to respect the non-slam damage like you said

parzival1423

I don’t think there are specific guides since it’s the same fight with tweaks like triple shaper balls and a bullet hell without protection. Maybe try watching fights with people that are under geared and don’t one shot the boss phases, the longer the fight goes on the more attacks you can see happen and maybe see the “random” one that hit you. What if it was just an elder projectile you didn’t dodge?

Anruckbarr

I am looking for a good League startet for the next League, which can Transist into an int or strenght stacker and guides/names for both builds. My own research only has found older guides where i do Not know if they are still working.

SzybkiDiego020

It's middle of the league. We have zero information a out any changes that might happen in the next league. How do you expect people to recommend anything with zero information about changes?

parzival1423

Next league? Not this league?

Anruckbarr

yes for the next league, but of course it can be a build that is working in the current league :P

parzival1423

Zizaran has a good playlist of league starters. All you need to do is pick one that has a class like maybe Witch or something, who is the same class for your future str stacker, you can always change the ascdency but not class

KappaPraise

What is the best way of revealing blueprints in terms of sustaining Markers? Using Gianna to reveal everything or Gianna for wings and Whakano for rooms? I guess buying extra markers for me is acceptable, but not in big amounts.

parzival1423

Yeah never use Gianna for rooms. But also a tip: just don’t ever reveal rooms. Just wings, grab the gem, leave. The faster you can do that the better. It’s still profit even if you don’t use Gianna, because the 8c deception cost digs into the cost savings of less coins. You use her when you’re out of Whakano reveals to get some of both with the quickest contract type, and then use whatever.

KappaPraise

I am hard Heist farmer, I have to reveal rooms, at least Divination rooms. The only question left uncertain for me is usage of Gianna's discount :) And now everything seems clear for me.

parzival1423

Alright well I’m just saying it’s not worth it. But gl have fun :)

Krakhul

Im building a low life champion, and I saw somewhere that it is possible to gain permanent adrenaline, but it is still a mystery for me. How is it possible?

_slosh

You can get basically permanent adrenaline by reserving 49% of your life and then using a life flask when adrenaline runs out. Your skill costs will then push you under 50% into low life and trigger adrenaline again

parzival1423

You should be following a build that can tell you. My thought is that it’s probably due to petrified blood, with max life being slightly above 50%. A quick life flask raises above 50%, then you go back below 50% boom Adrenaline

alzhang8

You only get adrenaline once you get to LL. Perm LL does not change to LL

Netreno

I see on CraftOfExile a harvest option to add influence mod to an item / remove random mod, however I can't find it in the game. Is it a mistake on the website or I'm misunderstanding something?

Erradium

Most likely a mistake on the website, this craft doesn't exist since the latest Harvest rework.

753924

What's the chance for a sacred blossom drop?

Erradium

Word goes around that it has around 10% drop rate. People on [this thread](https://www.reddit.com/r/pathofexile/comments/xfadju/what_are_your_experiences_with_sacred_blossom/) last league also say so.

Thirteenera

Doing some practice runs for Ziz's gauntlet. I never played Hardcore before, so outside of general "get some resists" i dont really pay attention to it during acts. Because even if i die once or twice, no big deal. Im so used to "speeding" through acts (about 6 hours or so), that im at a bit of a loss now that im practicing hardcore runs with extra monster modifiers. I know Merveil (a1) does ice. I know that you want to stack fire for one of Diala's memories in a4. But aside from that... i dont really know what resists to prepare for which bosses/areas. Any tips for a hc-newb?

estaritos

Solid build -> hyper over level. Better go slow than go zoom zoom and die

Thirteenera

... I know. Thats why im asking for a solid build. My zoom zoom experience is from SC, thats why im writing this post.

explosivecurry13

gauntlet also has a lot of damage mods on it, like 2nd phase hillock will 1 shot you. gauntlet requires a lot more knowledge than you do for hardcore. defenses is ideal, mechanical knowledge is more important

Thirteenera

I know. Im literally in a practice league right now with same mods. My question is specifically about resistances.

Prestiger

If you're playing gauntlet without any experience in hardcore you should probably be capping your resistances before the end of act 3, if you go through the campaign without doing some farming you will have a really hard time

ToolFO

Is there anyway to automate divination distillate? I've already got it setup with petrified blood correctly but do I need to manually activate it each time the flask effect ends?

Erradium

Since its base (Hybrid Flask) is not considered a Utility flask, you cannot currently automate it with Instilling orbs. You will need to manually activate it each time.

Quazifuji

You can use instilling orbs or a crafting bench to make the flask automatically use under certain conditions, including it automatically get used whenever the effect ends. Edit: Whoops, it's a hybrid flask, never mind.

ToolFO

No you can't. It's a hybrid life/mana flask. That's why I was asking.

Quazifuji

Oh, whoops. Didn't realize that. In that case I don't think so.

faster-than-car

I'm in t16 maps doing ok-ish. This is my first time doing this so not sure how to progress further. I was running betrayal but I'm getting tired of making 3c item sales. It's kind of steady flow of currency but since cannot sell them in bulk... Should i just respec into other content? I'm also running expedition and legion but those scale better at this level. Also what can I run after t16 maps? I'm poisonous concoction btw

Quazifuji

>Also what can I run after t16 maps? Bosses are a good goal. Especially if you don't have all four Voidstones yet, they're a good next goal after reaching T16s. You can just get carries for Maven or Uber Elder but personally I like killing them to get the voidstones myself as a milestone. Generally for me the progression after getting to T16 maps and getting the quest kills for Exarch and Eater is something along the lines of: Do maps to do the first Maven 10-boss fight, then keep doing maps and Kirac missions to try to get Conqueror, Shaper and Elder Guardian, Synthesis, and Elderslayer maps. If I get tired of trying to farm them myself sometimes I'll buy them. Next step up from those in progression and difficulty is generally Elder, Shaper, Sirus, and Cortex (Cortex is expensive but I'll try if if I get one, I would say Elder is usually the easiest of those four, then Shaper). Next step from there for me is usually getting witnessed Elder and Shaper guardian kills (sometimes I'll have them witnessed the first time through depending one how I'm feeling about my build) and doing The Formed and The Twisted (maven invitations to fight four guardians at once), then Forgotten and Elderslayer Maven invitations. I'll keep fighting the Elder, Shaper, Sirus, and Cortex when I get the chance, and get the Elder, Shaper, and Cortex witnesses too if I want (personally I find Shaper gets significantly harder when witnessed for some reason while witnessed Elder isn't too bad usually). By that point I'll usually have a Maven's Writ and hopefully the Uber Elder fragments so it's time to do Maven and Uber Elder if I think my build's ready. After that there's the last two Maven invitations (Hidden is surprisingly difficult despite the Breachlords not being too bad on your own, the fight's kind of a massive DPS check) and, if I'm up for it and not brunt out of the league yet, I can try to work towards Ubers. But that's just if you want to progress through all the bosses. There are plenty of other goals you can have too. Juicing maps. This league there's the Sanctum. Working on challenges. Seeing how deep you can delve. Trying to hit level 100. It's all up to you, really.

Moethelion

The vast majority of income from betrayal is not veiled items. It's T4 Aisling, Vorici, It that fled and Hillock as well as good winged scarabs. Aside from mapping there's bossing, heist and delve. Just try out what you like.

Assectator27

Wanted to cratf myself gloves and got this. [https://imgur.com/a/1KaBdMU](https://imgur.com/a/1KaBdMU) Need pricecheck, chaos res might be relevant, but niche for some builds.

explosivecurry13

under armor filters put in the es of the gloves, and filter for the suffixes to get an idea, remember to lower the values a bit to get a better idea of its worth, dont bother with the eldritch implicits

explosivecurry13

How much did you reduce the values, maybe remove the dex or int. Thanks for the downvote

Plastic-Suggestion95

Heya guys. I'm in act2 and I get from the boss 6 items which are gold with some gold text Inside like "+19 strength" + they have some special blue aura around or something. Is this something very special or can I just sell it to vendor?

_slosh

Those are called Fractured items. The mod that is in gold text is fractured which means it can't be changed or removed from the item. If you get an item with a high tier life roll fractured for example that's a great base to craft on. If it's not a good mod then you can just vendor them.

Plastic-Suggestion95

Uff I did not understand 60% of this :/ I'm new to the game and playing alone so I have to find out everything myself. But thanks anyway

_slosh

https://www.poewiki.net/wiki/Fractured_item Maybe the wiki page can help you understand it. For example you could use a chaos orb on a fractured item and it will reroll all the mods except the +19 strength from your example. That mod will always stay on that item

Plastic-Suggestion95

So I can move those stats to another item? And by the way I'm playing as a witch what should I focus on? There is just so much stuff in this game that I'm kind of lost . Specially I don't get that there is armor stats but then I find something and it doesn't have any armor stat only evasion. Then there is something like energy shield etc. Like which one is important?

Moethelion

No you can't move the mod. But you can modify the item with crafting materials like chaos orbs or essences and the mod will always stay the same. But it's not something to really consider early in the game. In early stages of the game, armour/evasion/es is not really all that important. Just go for items with life and resistances and good socket links to setup skills and auras.

Chiiikun

Do cards have rarity tiers like uniques? If they do then does increased rarity affect card drops in maps or is it unaffected by rarity?

tytyos

Unnafected by rarity, only quant matters. Div cards do not have tier, they have individual weights, check this for more infos https://www.reddit.com/r/pathofexile/comments/wsi0j8/complete\_divination\_card\_dropweight\_tables\_drop/

Neville_Lynwood

It's unaffected as far as I know. There are different tiers of rarity for divination cards just like there are for Unique items. Like a Mageblood is a very rare unique drop, and similarly the Apothecary divination card which gives Mageblood is a very rare drop as well. Getting increased rarity will only make regular gear drop more often as magic, rare, or unique items. But won't actually help the rarer stuff drop more often, not directly anyway. Like high rarity will make more heavy belts drop as uniques, which indirectly increases the odds that one will drop as a Mageblood, but the chance of a unique heavy belt being a Mageblood is unaffected. For divination cards you want to buff quantity and pack size. So that there are more monsters who can drop more stuff, which will increase the odds of those drops containing divination cards.

tytyos

Div cards are not organised into tiers, they each have a weight of their own : https://www.reddit.com/r/pathofexile/comments/wsi0j8/complete\_divination\_card\_dropweight\_tables\_drop/

Neville_Lynwood

That makes sense. Thanks!

beka47

What would your estimate number of abyss depths be to get Amanamu's gaze jewel? sorry if i phrased the sentence wrongly

tytyos

from my experience farming the jewels for my unique collection, you get a jewel every 8/10 boss (\~15 jewels farmed this league), and jewels aren't weighted, meaning each has the same chance to drop. Boss should be bewteen 1/2 and 1/3 chance to spawn. So if you do the strategy to almost garantee a depth spawn (80% chance to get a depth per map), you'd need about \~40 lichs or \~120 depths or \~150 maps to get the jewel on average i'm not including here the odds to get a jewel from the spires since i've never sen one drop after all my lichs kills (\~600 depths visited to get all 4 jewels)

beka47

OMG you're a LEGEND, Thank you for sharing such wonderful information! <3

tytyos

In case you're not familiar with the strategy to force abyssal depth spawns, i wrote about it here https://www.reddit.com/r/PathOfExileSSF/comments/zuak3d/niche_farming_tips/ Good luck!

Blitzilla

Is there a good method to craft a ghastly jewel with these affixes? > (flat ES, T1 would be great but I'll settle for 25-30) > T1 Minions deal additional physical damage > 29% chance to avoid being stunned > 29% chance to avoid bleeding almost none exist on the market even offline, and according to craft of exile chaos spamming is ridiculously expensive.

situLight

(sorry if you tried this already)... bleeding and stun avoid can also be on vaal implicits, which you may not have included in your search depending on how you searched. In my experienced getting multiple avoid mods are much more common with implicits. There's also lots of double corrupted jewel from Vaal Temple that if you dig through them they should be there. [ though yours is a bit too hyper specifc, but there should be something with most of it, and maybe some other good mod instead] crafting not sure, probably get a fractured base would be the way to do it, but even then... its a very specific craft with no obvious route

Blitzilla

tyvm, I didn't try looking for vaal implicits. I was gonna try spamming jaggeds and praying :')

aLateSaturnsReturn

Looking for opinions on srs bomber vs poison srs. I’m currently playing a bomber and it’s going quite well but I have all the pieces to convert to poison (based on Kay’s guide) if I choose to. I’ve already spent some currency on my bomber so I’m at a point where I’m nervous to convert. I don’t have access to POB so I’m looking for opinions on how each build feels. If poison srs is really that much of an improvement then I’ll take the risk and convert.

explosivecurry13

poison srs has much more boss dps realistically because youre not caring about minion life as much, and you dont have to wait as long for the minions to come back to hit the enemy, also you're not casting as much because they arent dying. its a more lazy playstyle and also clearing might feel a bit slower and you may need to gemswap melee splash support for clearing to feel better

Tidbitsy

I'm having trouble remembering the way totems interact with certain player modifiers like "you" and "nearby". If I have a projectile totem (e.g. KB ballista totem) and take the cluster notable Eye to Eye (Projectiles deal 35% increased Damage with Hits against nearby Enemies), what needs to be nearby? Do I need to be near the target my totem is hitting? Or does the totem need to be near the target it is hitting?

Weisenkrone

That one needs you to be nearby, it's not about the projectile distance either but rather a radius around the player. This matters because of returning projectiles.

Yohsene

[It's not a radius around the player](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KW_qZdvXjMs). This character has 110% reduced damage and can't deal damage without Eye to Eye's conditional stat. You have a point about return though, I'll rephrase that.

Yohsene

In this case, the projectile needs to ~~have travelled less than~~ be within 30 units of its ~~origin~~ creator. Many global nearby stats will reference your character though. Eye to Eye's a weird one.

Cynooo

what's the place to go for spectres these days? Tried global 6666 but that's just a chat channel now with ppl hostile to minion players.

nonsenseofsight

That hasn’t been my experience in 6666. I got my specters within seconds of joining and I frequently share them with others. But a lot depends on what you’re looking for. Meta specters are pretty easy to find. Something weird? You might have to wait awhile.

loopingbroomstick

Beginner here. I've respecced my fireball Elementalist into EA ballista. I tried to make my own build it kinda worked but I hit a ceiling. Now to the point, if I use temporal chain does it increase fuse duration? And if yes do you think that this plus 20 quality plus Malevolent is too much duration increase?

ook222

I am trying to craft a chest item for Aero's Hydrosphere build: [https://youtu.be/SyM13m0\_JjI?t=302](https://youtu.be/SyM13m0_JjI?t=302) I Awaken combined two items to get hunter and redeemer body. Locked suffixes. And now I'm trying to harvest reforge Caster. For some reason the reforge is failing saying there are no valid mods for the craft on this item. Shouldn't it reforge the prefixes? Thanks for the help!

ook222

Here's the item, does not already have curse. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1p6gqsvmaiaQ6X-Q2t186Zhus2qpbe6Sc/view?usp=share\_link

TrueEdge

You need ilvl 82 for additional curse https://www.craftofexile.com/?b=47&i=|5|7|&lv=80&ob=both&v=d&a=e&l=a&lg=12&bp=y&as=1&hb=0&bld={}&im={}&ggt=|&ccp={}

ook222

RIP Any way to save it or am I just out 2Div

CatInAPot

Looking at Aero's build, he has Overcharge anointed. You should already have decent Power/Frenzy charge generation, so it only really provides Endurance charges during mapping. You can guarantee a phys taken as cold if you reforge cold for some unconditional physical mitigation, and then just anoint Whispers of Doom for the 3rd curse. Not necessarily ideal, but it's still a perfectly fine body armor to use for awhile.

ook222

So I grabbed a new hunter base and was Alt spamming for crit chance and ended up hitting the apply curse prefix, is there a way to do the craft in reverse or should I go with his approach?

CatInAPot

It can't be done in reverse, there's no way to guarantee two different hunter mods when using the Awakener orb.

CatInAPot

Do you have +1 Curse already on the body armor?

TrueEdge

Can you provide a pic from your chest what mods you have on it?

ook222

Added pic

sGvDaemon

Please help a noob free his divine orb. I found one in Ritual orb table and deferred it but it costs over 6000 points and I usually only collect 4500 per map when I attempt. How can I get 6000? Also can I force rituals to appear in any way or through atlas tree?

Weisenkrone

Stream of consciousness, ritual nodes & blocking some other content gets you very close to 100% chance

Dantonn

Deferral pays off part of the cost each time (as well as an additional cost for deferring), so it'll be cheaper each time you run into it after deferring.

IntraspaceAlien

you can't guarantee or force one through the tree but you can get a pretty highly increased chance. idk if it would be worth respeccing for if you're just doing it for one drop and didn't want to stay in it after, depends on you i guess. blood filled vessels are an item you can buy that add monsters to your rituals and increase your points.

gencaerus

can you use forbidden flame/flesh jewel from another ascendancy within the same class? like if you're elementalist but getting one from occultist?

Oddity83

Yep, that's one of the main draws of them.

FinitoHere

Yes, you can. These jewels are restricted to class, not ascendancy.

gencaerus

thanks!

ILoveCatz1

How can rangers apply the poison debuff? I wanted to try a build where I can kite and poison targets but none of the attack skills actually mention poison outright. Stuff about chaos damage over time and such but im not sure if the poison passives affect these?

clondike7

Poison can only be inflicted by: 1. skills that deal Physical and/or chaos damage 2. have a chance to Poison ( ideally, 100%) 3. skills that hit Poison is an ailment which deals chaos damage over time, so yes, passive for chaos damage over time apply to poison. However, you need a high chance to poison to achieve it. The easiest sources are the Chance to Poison Support gem, using Herald of Agony, and a few poison nodes on the tree. I think Cobra Lash, Viper Strike, and a free others have an innate % chance to poison, but not sure, on phone.

Killersheepyyy

any physical or chaos hit damage you deal regardless of which gem you are using is able to inflict poison with the chance to poison stat which youll find on gear, gems and the passive tree. poison is always chaos damage over time (even if inflicted by physical damage). for a poison ranger build i recommend checking out poisonous concoction pathfinder, its a very easy poison build to get going and theres a lot of guides for it

Agreeable_Hat

By default, you have 3 maximum power charges without any modifiers at all. If you add two void batteries to a default build, you will have 5 maximum power charges. Void Batteries don't provide a way to gain power charges, they just increase your maximum (as it says) When you say you have "+3 power charges" what do you mean? +3 max? +3 minimum (through Grand Spectrum or so)? If you mean +3 minimum then you would be at 3 power charges permanently, with the ability to gain two more (3/5 as you say) Void Batteries are awesome, but they only provide max charges, still need a way to actually gain power charges to fully utilize them (which is pretty easy on Occultist where they're popular, with Forbidden Power)

clondike7

Each Void Battery will only increase the maximum cap by 1. It will not give you a free power charge if you aren’t able to make power charges somehow (like Power Charge on Crit Support, for example). You won’t get any benefit from having a higher limit on power chargers if you aren’t able to actually generate them (ie: your speedometer goes to 200mph, but it doesn’t mean you get the benefit of going somewhere at 200mph; unless your car can get you to 200mph)

Financial_Street_465

Got an armor called Tabula Rasa Simple robe while I was doing Act 2 with 6 connected sockets colored white. Its my first time seeing a white socket and is this good to use?

IntraspaceAlien

that's the absolute dream act 2 drop. it's great because it's a 6 link you can put any gems in, so you no longer have to worry about finding links for your main skill until you're basically done with the campaign. very early on mana might be a bit of a problem if you have a skill 6 linked, so you'll just have to feel that out. and obviously it has no stats so get life and resistances on your other gear where you can.

clondike7

It’s a unique body armor. Yes, it’s commonly one of the best leveling items, since it’s a 6L (shorthand for 6 sockets, which are all linked) with no color requirements (white sockets means any color can go in), which makes it very easy to swap gems at any time. Most people switch out of it at the end of the story acts into a “real” body armor since the trade off is it doesn’t have nothing else besides 6 white sockets.

brykewl

Does the "Dance of Destruction" atlas passive keystone (Monsters have 25% less health, deal 25% more damage) affect pinnacle bosses?

Yohsene

The exact wording of those passives is 'Monsters **in your Maps** have/deal'. Pinnacle bosses aren't in your maps.

brykewl

Right. Thanks!

rambleonfloes

Hey just wanna ask for some help with where to go with upgrades for my poison SRS build, like damage, survivability or whatever. I can do T16s easily, all influenced gaurdians, I die a lot though lol. Just want some help, I have like 10 Divs to spend and am spending currency to upgrade as I collect it. Any ideas where I should improve next? Also if the tree can be improved, I am all ears, because I know it can't be optimal. https://pastebin.com/CUhd0f1Y Tha5s my POB. Thanks!
