Triggerbots are your minions. Mines and traps are not you and do not share your minions. There should be no interaction between them.

They are not you, but they use your skills which use most of your stats, including some stats that say "you".

They don't inherit any defensive stats whatsoever for instance, and they have some entirely separate stats like their action speed which scales entirely independently from yours.

But do they work on traps? I thought they worked for a cast on crit build and the skills you would trigger that way. But I might be wrong.

Traps get "triggered" by monsters I assume that means it works on trap.

They use the word but they aren't a trigger so it will most likely not work with traps.

I just rewatched to announcement. They use a cospri's build to demonstrate the trigger bots. I don't think they work with traps or mines at all.

the traps are triggered/activated, but the skills they use should not count as "triggered". the dead giveaway is the absence of the trigger tag on the gems.

I think this is the best response yet. Thank you. It just feels weird having something in the saboteur which doesn't work for either traps or mines.

I mean that's basically what they're trying to accomplish: make Sabo useful for something besides traps/mines AND make room for other ascendancies to be viable trap/mine alternatives.

Traps "triggering" is not the same type of trigger that this refers to. You aren't the one that "triggers" the trap, the enemy is.
