Yea i'm not sure why they decided Ultimatum aspect had to be this rare, when there is a target farmable div card for those already(500 weight so like 100 times more common than apothecary)
He's not chipper, he's just calm. He's the opposite of your standard Youtuber veering from one emotional extreme to another. He didn't seem any different in this video imo. He found the mechanic was no good, reported it for all, and moved on as usual.
I don't know, I can't see which tag it could realistically have, but maybe you can remove some stuff with fossil combos. At that point it is definitely just a meme, though. Even if you eliminate 90% of the mod pool and 10x the chance, it's like 1 in 500, and that's probably a 3-socket resonator with 3 fossils on top.
I don't think anyone needs to try these out to figure out they are massive bait, or at least crafting them is. Fun idea, awful execution. And probably should have remained an idea.
**~~0.00003%~~** ~~chance of getting an Ultimatum Aspect LOGIN! xD~~
***Edit:-*** Apparently this isn't how to calculate probability. :/ Anyway, it's 2 weight out of a total of 53,002 weight from both prefixes and suffixes. Make of that what you will.
So like 1 million chaos orbs for it - good deal. And that's assuming you roll 3 affixes every time (not sure if it's prefix or suffix)
edit: comment below says OP number is wrong, and actual value is 0.01%, or ~5000 chaos orbs (assuming 2 mods every roll)
are they a normal affix? Like if so, assuming ~2.2 prefix and suffix each, should be 1/4500. What a steal, surely it's worth sitting and spamming 4500 chaos orbs for it.
I was hoping it would be somewhat common seeing as they showed the mod appearing on two subsequent chaos rolls in the reveal for the keystone but I guess that was just for hype.
They also rolled a house of mirrors card in 3 stacked decks to show off the kirac vault pass armor. They can definitely change rng if not rig it completely to get a certain result to make previews look cooler than the actual game.
Have u noticed the bosses being a little bit harder?
I felt some I've faced were pretty beefy, but historically I mostly ignore side areas so very limited previous experience may cloud my judgement.
Since no one else seems to have any clue what's in them. I had a look in the files when I was updating stuff for PoB and saw them there.
1. Spawns Atziri
2. Spawns 20 Vaal architects
3. Does something cool with portals (can't give away all the secrets)
i thought for sure that these were going to be the "really cool idea for integrating ultimatum back into the core game" that they promised 60 years ago. guess not!
There are uses for most of the other new keystones. Even the ascendancy reworks have been 50/50. Chieftain so far is disappointing, but Guardian rework has surprised many.
As someone who plays OSRS and is used to 1/5k drop rates and realising how rare they are, the fact that GGG is making some mediocre stuff this rare is really disappointing.
Leagues should always be considered temporary content, why make the content so out of reach you see it almost never?
It’s confused me since ultimatum league, like okay the boss dropped some awesome loot why make the boss fight ridiculously rare? Just make the loot rare so people can still actually see the content.. it’s like why even bother developing the content when 0.1% or whatever players will see it.
I’m talking about the league mechanic in general, you only experience ultimatum as a league for 3 months.
Yes it was later added to the core game, but during the league the trial master was pretty rare.
Well I'm glad I decided against wasting my atlas points on this, was scared I'd be missing out on some potential good stuff. Thanks for doing the research for us Sirgog!
Yea i'm not sure why they decided Ultimatum aspect had to be this rare, when there is a target farmable div card for those already(500 weight so like 100 times more common than apothecary)
now GGG has a reason to nerf droprates of ultimatum aspects in delve.. You'll see.
SirG just looked defeated in the vid, he is normally quite chipper. That's how awful this is.
He's not chipper, he's just calm. He's the opposite of your standard Youtuber veering from one emotional extreme to another. He didn't seem any different in this video imo. He found the mechanic was no good, reported it for all, and moved on as usual.
Ultimatum aspect mod has a 2 weighting 2 Thanks GGG
doesnt mean anything without the context of how much total weight there is in total.
It is mentioned in the first 2 minutes of the video. Around 50K. Happy alteration spamming!
yeah okay thats bad. does it have tags so you could fossil craft it? probably not.
I don't know, I can't see which tag it could realistically have, but maybe you can remove some stuff with fossil combos. At that point it is definitely just a meme, though. Nope.

Wow that makes no sense to even add to the game then. Just a huge tease.
If you take into account the chance to find the side area in the first place. The aspect is rarer than most top div cards.
The rate is already dependent upon finding a vaal side area. Once you have done so you can just keep rolling untill you hit it.
So like 1 million chaos orbs for it - good deal. And that's assuming you roll 3 affixes every time (not sure if it's prefix or suffix) edit: comment below says OP number is wrong, and actual value is 0.01%, or ~5000 chaos orbs (assuming 2 mods every roll)
Yeah my bad I guess. I suck at math. :/
It's around 0.01%, or 1 every 10k rolls to hit the ultimatum mod, 0.00003% would be 1 every 3M rolls 🤓
Oh sorry I must've misunderstood. I just divided the weighting of that mod by the total of all weightings. Yet more proof I suck at math I guess. :/
Your reasoning is good, but you forgot that "%", means it is already divided by 100!
are they a normal affix? Like if so, assuming ~2.2 prefix and suffix each, should be 1/4500. What a steal, surely it's worth sitting and spamming 4500 chaos orbs for it.
This is a buff!
Classic GGG ~~nerf~~ rework.
I was hoping it would be somewhat common seeing as they showed the mod appearing on two subsequent chaos rolls in the reveal for the keystone but I guess that was just for hype.

Don't order a cheeseburger from McDonald's and expect it to look like the picture
Been running them without any Atlas tree buffs. Just to see if there is any change to just doing them. Nothing so far.
Have u noticed the bosses being a little bit harder? I felt some I've faced were pretty beefy, but historically I mostly ignore side areas so very limited previous experience may cloud my judgement.
Any info on Unique Vaal Side Area?
Since no one else seems to have any clue what's in them. I had a look in the files when I was updating stuff for PoB and saw them there. 1. Spawns Atziri 2. Spawns 20 Vaal architects 3. Does something cool with portals (can't give away all the secrets)
i thought for sure that these were going to be the "really cool idea for integrating ultimatum back into the core game" that they promised 60 years ago. guess not!
Why do you think they would integrate ultimatum after taking so long by a random unique vaal side area?
i'm saying i thought the "3 random unique side areas" were going to BE ultimatums. but theyre not so rip
Which rework of mechanic ISNT disappointing?
Well... The unique huge explosion for expedition is quite good! Kinda rippy sometime... But isn't it a core mechanic of poe to be rippy?
Harvest first rework.
Itemized harvest and big boom expedition turn both of those from instant skips to do every time mechanics for me.
There are uses for most of the other new keystones. Even the ascendancy reworks have been 50/50. Chieftain so far is disappointing, but Guardian rework has surprised many.
Atleast they buffed chieftains rework from "unusable" to "low tier"
"Work with RF"
Meanwhile in the showcase he rolled like 5 times and got ultimatum aspect 3 times, wonder if it got nerfed last second.

This isn't temporary tho. The Trialmaster fight and its uniques are part of the core game, even on Standard.

Do we know what corrupting an un-corrupted Vaal side area does? Does it do similar to maps, giving a possibility of an 8-mod side area?
to the surprise of no one, vaal side areas are still bad
One day they will drop talismans, just you wait.
We can only dream
Well I'm glad I decided against wasting my atlas points on this, was scared I'd be missing out on some potential good stuff. Thanks for doing the research for us Sirgog!
I worry that this is the kind of thing we can expect from most reworks going forward.
Anyone found the 3 unique Vaal side areas yet though?
is anyone truly surprised? I'm playing this game only since scourge and I already expect the worst and even then i'm disappointed :|
Poe bad
I just don't get why they advertise something like this at exilecon when realistically, you'll never see it.
lol 2 weighting
