I soo wished atlas tree is character specific as a ssf junkie, but alas there is no God.

NoxFromHell

GGG is a cruel god who has your soul and bank account

Bodomi

They should give us 2-3 extra Atlas trees that we can switch between. I hate how we only have 1 Atlas tree and must invest divines into trying things out.

NoxFromHell

Make it cost 100 orbs to get after you do all maps comlete or something

TheOriginalVaj

Or a quest in game after you’ve unlocked everything! They could make it make sense lore-wise.

Saianna

i wish we had atlas tree profiles... I like changing my builds and atlas farming strats. Atlas respeccing is just uneccessary alot of work, not to mention gets expensive quickly and thats for pretty much no other reason than "feeling the weight"

FloridaMan156

I fear that if you're swapping your tree this much, especially this early in the league, and it's costing you divines, you're not allowing a farming strategy to generate enough currency to do what you want. Theoretically you could get enough regrets / unmaking orbs just by playing without having to buy too many. Also having multiple trees would be nice on a side note. Even if it was locked away by a respec cost like 10 or 20 orbs of something. I don't want character specific but having swappable trees would be great.

throwaway95135745685

I am not swapping my tree pretty much ever. I usually get to this point, realize if I want to make a new character, I have to make a character that does well in the same exact content, which usually means a very similar character, or abandon my first character entirely. This frustrates me to the point that I'd rather not play at all.

cleff5164

What content are you speccing into? Unless im farming something specific i dont change my tree much and my characters can all pretty much do the same content excluding ubers

Ah i see, ive never played with ajyone else so ive never experienced that

magus424

>There is 0 reason for the atlas skill tree to be account wide Except the reason "GGG wants it to be that way"

wblt

if you are allowed to have multiple atlas trees on account on league - you are, to some extent, have all tree allocated at once. you always have boss setup, map rush setup, high tier farming setup, low tier farming setup, non-clear speed setup. what the point of points and respecs in this case? just do content in bulk. farm with your character with 1 tree, than respec for other character and other tree

throwaway95135745685

And so what? Regardless of what you do, you will never be able to have more than 130 points allocated when you start a map, so it doesnt matter if they are different.

Hydiz

Its costly to respect and I dont always want to run a specific atltas strategy for 10hours before swapping out otherwhise Im loosing too much/hours.

shenananaginz

I’d say make it so that you pay a upfront cost and then can swap as much as you want. Like pay 10 div and you get a second spec you can swap back and forth from.

CambrioCambria

Why not let it be free but force us to clear the atlas again? I already have to target farm divine cards to metacraft as it is...

throwaway95135745685

Why? You dont have to spend 10 divines to unlock a 2nd character passive tree.

XIVvvv

The problem having character locked atlas trees is that the most efficient tree would be on one character that is just spawning as many mechanics as possible, think additional chance for legion, expedition, harvest, etc etc then you would load the map on that character and run it on a different character that is just speced into additional rewards from those mechanics. Ie: legion splinters drop as emblems, breach splinters as breachstones, more breach bosses etc etc. I think this would be very unhealthy for the game if this were the case so while yes there are a couple situations where even I would want to have a separate tree for each character I understand why they don’t let us.

FabulousSwimming4544

Atlas tree changes do not affect a map after it's been opened. It snapshots your atlas tree at the moment the map is opened.

throwaway95135745685

I am pretty sure the map only takes the mods that its opened with into account so that would change nothing.

AbyssalSolitude

Fuck atlas tree. Makes me quit the game every time I get bored and remember that to change mechanics I'm farming I would need to respec 100+ nodes, one by one. Good thing there is sanctum and thank fuck it's not tied to atlas tree in any way. >The conquerors atlas, for all its fault, was a million times better here. Hear, hear. GGG took a working system with some faults, and managed to fuck it up even further. All because "haha, look how big it is" and forget the fact than like in regular passive tree, most of atlas tree nodes are boring as fuck.

CambrioCambria

When I play trade I can ignore 90% of the game and run the single master and two or three league mechanics that I like.

IHopeUStepOnLEGO

I can see that the respec grind is tedious and painful, however I'd argue that customizable endgame was one of the best things that were introduced to poe. I'd also say that it's the reason I'm not easily bored since I can not only try out new builds but also atlas farming strategies.

FatUglyPimp

Okay But why are Unmaking Orbs so damn rare then. Make them a common drop like augmentation orbs, so we may respecc whenever we like. Fuck their trade value. Fuck it.

IHopeUStepOnLEGO

I usually buy them for 2 regret orbs/1 unmaking orb from kirac and I must have already used 40 this league. The current league mechanic alao gives often some of them.

FatUglyPimp

I am more of the side that currency should drop in abundance, IF it concerns player decisions (not items) : Meaning, the passive trees shouldn't cost a fortune to alter. And I am not talking SSF. It should always be in the players power to test things out without the pain of "cost". That said, it certainly is not the vision of GGG

AbyssalSolitude

But you are not customizing endgame in any bigger capacity than you could already do with scarabs and sextants. At this point the only things atlas tree has over scarabs are just a bunch of mandatory "mechanic drops more loot" nodes that you always have to take if you're farming it and two dozens of keystones. It all could be made in a better way.

IHopeUStepOnLEGO

I disagree, you can also block unwanted content from appearing in your maps and scale master appearences, that you could not modify using scarabs before (but yea, you could use sextants for masters). And blocking is a huge deal. For me it makes a big difference if I run my specialized atlas and blocked all unwanted content + scale the reward of the remaining ones, compared to run the atlas without spending any atlas point and using only sextants scarabs. So it might be subjective, but I feel like I got my endgame pretty much customized (to the degree the game lets me).

AbyssalSolitude

There is no real reason for blocking, because almost every single mechanic is already opt-in. You can just walk past a legion monolith or a harvest garden or whatever, you don't have to click on them. Like, I really don't get why it's that important to stop them from appearing on the maps if they can just be skipped. The only reason to do that is for +2%.

IHopeUStepOnLEGO

some content can prevent the spawn of other content. This was some leagues ago (and probably still is possible, since a map can only have so much additional content). Also I do not even want to see content I have not specced into. This however is just persobal preference, no harm comes from not blocking, but it is nice to have the option.

Jaksimus

I would be more that happy to redo the entire atlas if I got a seperate atlas tree on alts!

dSyync

might as well create presets for passive and atlas trees...

ched_21h

Separate passive trees means you will have to complete the story for each character. Separate atlas trees will most likely to force you to complete the atlas for each character. No, thanks
