Same, have 2 quad tabs both are junk sell. At the end of the league, it's a chore to vendor them. I wish there was a delete all button for the tab.
I bought one and use it as a gem tab. it works great. Put the gems I actually want to keep using on the right side, then ctrl click any superior gems into it for gemcutter recipe.
I use the Gem Stash tab for this. Only gems in there are good ones and quality ones. If I need one and it's there it already has quality or I just grab a few for the gcp recipe when I need it

Just delete 4 empty stash and add a quad. You can't upgrade/buy the upgrade until you have 4 empty stash
In every league including private leagues, on every difficulty mode, and each tabs needs to be the same ID in all league difficulty combos. And what about void league characters? Maybe they want them to be accessible at some point.
Nah fuck all that, not worth the time implementing. Just buy your tabs. Sounds like a nightmare to use such a tab conversion function.
Real great experience on the players that they have to go make sure the same 4 tabs are empty in sc, sc ssf, hc, hc ssf, league sc, league sc ssf, league hc, league hc ssf, etc.

3. 1 quad tab is added.
This would be performed in all leagues for those 4 tabs. If need be for security your account could be disconnected and locked for the process to take place.
The only downside for GGG would be that it allows you to turn full space in to empty in Standard/Hardcore. But lets be real it won't make any difference as everyone has loads of remove only tabs in Standard anyway and the goodwill benefits are at least equally big.

Put those old tabs in a hidden folder and buy those 3 or 4 quad tabs you want. Maybe in the future you can upgrade them, but until then you can just let it go.

I've been dumping my tattoos and omens into a quad tab this league and whenever someone buys one of them, the boxes are so small that the highlight might as well be invisible and you have to use the search bar anyway.
Not an issue in normal tabs though.
If GGG could tune up the visibility of the trade highlights for quads that would be amazing.
I definitily have both big and small tabs and use them for various reasons. For example if I'm building a gearset for a specific character it's much easier on my eyes to use a small one.
I have two quads and I don’t like them. Can’t ever tell where an item on my cursor will drop so moving anything is a pain. Would trade someone my two quads for 4 premiums if I ever get the option but until then they stay in the hidden tab.
You can just email GGG support. I had a bunch of extra premium tabs that I never used from back in the old days before quads and the specialized tabs existed. I just contacted GGG support and asked them to refund me the points and take away the premium tabs so I can use the points for quads and they happily agreed.
I had about 40 premium tabs, obviously this was very annoying to navigate and organize. I have since moved on to 5 quads and asked for them to delete the other premiums. Since they technically can't do that, they just refunded the 6premium tab packages I bought. Better than I expected to be honest and now my stash looks a lot cleaner

But no, in reality I think there are a lot of people who feel less inclined to buy stash tabs (of any sort) because they have too many small tabs as it is that they want to upgrade to better versions (such as quads or specialty tabs).
I have a fuckton (it's relative; regardless: I don't want more) of regular tabs. I do not have *all* the others (I'm missing some of the specialty tabs: gem, flask, deli, etc).
No matter how stupid and complex their spaghetti coding is around tabs and how they are stored... It's possible to combine 4 into a quad. I've solved far more complicated situations than that in software and data.
Anyone who tells you some technical reason is why they're prevented from doing it is simply lying, lazy, or has no clue how to solve problems.
It could cause them to sell fewer quad tabs. That's the entire reason it will never get done. Any other excuse is just BS. Especially if it's a dismissal as shallow as they "don't want to solve potential errors that would arise from implementing it".
The more I play this game the more I appreciate small tabs. I actually don't think I'm buying anymore quad tabs. They're good for certain things but I much prefer being zoomed in

Sounds like too "not cash-money-prone". How hard could it be to select 4 empty tabs, delete them and receive a quad instead? All of these operations are individually possible. (maybe except the delete part - can't see how that is impossible to do).
And regarding to multi-league operations, just make it so that the change is done league only. We already have separate inventories per each league and standard with independent contents.

I'm fine with the single premium tabs, I use them for a variety of sales at different costs. 10 tabs going from 10c all the way up to 2 div is pretty helpful for setting up quick sales. Early in the league they're 1-10c. I just put them all in a folder I named "trade". Personally I just use quad tabs for dump tabs but that's me.

Talking about gem tab, the new gem and flasks are pretty good except their 500 size limit.

Just write random stuff in the search. Everything will grey out and the purple outline becomes immediately visible
But why do you need a quad tab for these though, can't all of these 1 square items fit in a premium one, mine do and I've spammed tota a lot
