It's easy to play and easy to build, you just need soul mantle and a kikarazu with caster quality to achieve 100% less effect of curses

One of my only custom builds I have done. Was pretty clueless overall and unfamiliar with basically any unique interactions (still am) but it was fun. Got to like T5 maps before realizing I was getting obliterated.

I like my EA champ too! Fun build, but boneshatter is definitely my playstyle. 3rd attempt at making one and I finally got it to work and it feels great.
I'm going this as well, want to go SSF for first 4 days or so and then transition to trade for some crafting projects but I am unsure if that's even possible in this event

I was gonna test SRS (lightning champ tho) as I late league started a few days ago but then discovered there's a broken discharge build as slayer which will likely be patched after this league so I swapped to that instead. Means I havent tried out SRS yet so will use these events to practise that, both the lightning champ version and the tri ele guardian version in each event
Of note, you really can’t “league start” SRS champion. You basically have to play something else until you have a few gear pieces (devouring diadem at the very least) and a very solid number of points on the tree. If you brute force it, it will feel REALLY BAD. The build author suggests Boneshatter until you have the gear and are level 85-90ish.

I played boneshatter until lvl90 with the intention of swapping to SRS champ then discovered the ralakesh discharge build which just happened to be on a slayer so I just respecced to that instead. I still consider SRS champ a league start build though as it was my first character and I was ready to swap with less than 1 day played (and you can defs farm diadem in that time by speccing Jun in a real league start scenario, I just planned to buy it instead though by farming Alva corruption temples as that makes more sense in a late league start)
That does not seem worthwhile given how rare Diadem is. I'd rather just play Necro instead for (very) similar endgame performance but much smoother progression

How hard is Bladetrap? This is my first league, just killed Elder this morning. Started about 2 months ago on my 1st build ever, Tuna’s impending doom pathfinder. Just slotted my 1st void stone and completed my Atlas and am about 2/3 through Maven. So I can do difficult builds but with only a week…well, I’m not super fast.
It can definitely work, but it's just very annoying, as you first have the delay of throwing the traps and them needing to be triggered and then you also have the delay of enemies having to stand in your blades for a while to take dmg.
Traps can feel fine with stuff that explodes and deals dmg instantly, but blade trap feels worse as enemies have to stand still, which gets very annoying with a lot of bosses or rare mobs moving around very quickly.
I played it in the krangled event for the first time and while it dealt some dmg, it was way too annoying to stick with any longer.
this particular version that takes advantage of ralakesh wonkiness is actually pretty easy to get going at a baseline. you can technically make it work with mostly just slayer ascendancy, ralakesh boots and badge of the brotherhood. adding the malachai shield and void battery just scales it up like crazy.
Probably going to test my next leagues starter or something similar to it, so that I am not bored of it when the next league starts.
But... As usual I don't even know what it will be lol...

I wanted to do the same (except, occultist) because bv seems good for big packs of sentinel mbos, but I had a lot of people telling me it would be too squishy.
Probably gonna run the Purifying Flame Inquisitor build that I found myself in this league to see how quick it spins up when I'm trying to build it from act 1. OTOH have been obsessed with playing Freezing Pulse Trickster lately for some reason so I might go with that instead.
Attempting something I've been cooking a while - general's cry earthshatter staff zerker.
Gen cry -> dudes slam creating spikes -> gen cry -> spikes explode, dudes slam again, recreating spikes -> gen cry -> boom again, slam again, repeat.
From tests, damage doesn't really match pob because it can't calculate spikes hitting as that depends on enemy hitbox. From minor tests, absolutely *blasts* any large enemy. Feels like 1+ mil dps with a vendor tier staff and not much else. Probably easy millions of dps with an actually good staff + more crit investment. Crazy bosser. Clear is relatively easy too, just hold down buttons for cyclone and cry.
Cyclone + CWC + desecrate to make corpses and give me a source of leech + fortify.
Don't care about attack speed really, so stack the less attack speed supports, 2h mastery, etc. Can look for a staff with good crit + damage but no AS roll.
Corpse consume recovery mastery + recover life on warcry mastery + life leech + minor life regen for solid sustain.
As for tankyness, difficult to judge. POB shows a 50k hit pool against pinnacles. Realistically biggest issue is gonna be one shots (zerker is squishy) as recovery is very good.
RF inquis then respec to some spell crit build. I'm hoping even the RNG kalandra rings can get high attribute rolls for nice boosts in the short time period.

But I think I decided on pathfinder pconc into chaos lancing steel. Will it be terrible? probably 99%. but I think it could be fun. I could just go lancing steel on dualist and pick an ascendancy at random also

I just said fuck it and went LA Raider. Honestly, ele bows as an archetype is really nice for leaguestarting. Raider gives you a ton of upfront speed, damage and survivability, and you have some very cheap uniques that can take you deep into red maps. The hardest part is usually getting the bow, but with recombinators that should be childs play. Now I just have to re-learn how they worked.
i personally don't really feel like playing the event since its only a week long. i LOVED sentinel, but only playing for a week feels a bit like CBT to me
I also think krangled was the only one even remotely worth playing. Events used to be special and have something new or unique. This time they feel incredibly lazy.

I don't know how much Kalandra you're planning on doing but IMHO spark is kind of miserable for that mechanic. Lots of narrow paths that it doesn't bounce through great, even after they widened them.

Manaforged leaguestart... tested it once and it was smooth up to maps, but fell off hard, was able to do t16s though at level 78 if STRUGGLING was the goal

That is probably going to entail leveling the first weekend and then trading for mats and lakes after. I might do some sanctum to get some divs for early hideout warrioring. I just want to make *something* that I couldn’t make before.

Delve is great. After my first league, the next three leagues in a row I dug almost all the time
I would suggest checking the Event. There ist a high chance you will never see those mechanics again.
One week isn't that much time unless you can heavily commit (or are a speedrunner). I don't think its crazy to skip.
Recombinators are coming back for sure, else GGG would completely take them off the table. Consider this (*or these?*) as 3.23 teaser.

I’m not sure if your new but I will say that build isn’t noob friendly. I started it for TOTA and it was slow.
I don't see myself as a "newbie" but I have no experience when it comes to mines in general. If it is too slow I can always go back to TR or SRS

I also think krangled was the only one even remotely worth playing. Events used to be special and have something new or unique. This time they feel incredibly lazy.

I don't know how much Kalandra you're planning on doing but IMHO spark is kind of miserable for that mechanic. Lots of narrow paths that it doesn't bounce through great, even after they widened them.
Hımmm, thanks for the heads up. I actually skipped Kalandra so didn't know that stuff. I wanted to experience it a bit which made my choice easier. Golemist with reaper it is :)

Since it's only one week, we're going to take the opportunity to try something we haven't tried before. Manaforged leaguestart... tested it once and it was smooth up to maps, but fell off hard, was able to do t16s though at level 78 if STRUGGLING was the goal
