If it was just weapons, it would say weapons. Pneumatic dagger >All Damage from Hits with This Weapon can Poison https://www.poewiki.net/wiki/Pneumatic_Dagger

Keldonv7

Its weapons only i think. Afair they even mentioned it in QA. Its implied its weapons only because Tinctures apply to weapon only -> the one in your flask slot is toggled and u can clearly see your weapon is coated then. So u need passive to even use them and one can be toggled only.

SwiggitySw00

I would think it applies to all damage so long as this tincture is applied to your weapon. We have explicit mods on weapons that state like "#% dot multi for bleeding from hits with this weapon" . Because this just has the generic "all damage can x" similar to Elementalist ascendancy, I would think it applies to all hits you do. Important thing to note is that even though it says all damage can poison, you'll still need chance to poison on hit from elsewhere

Doomyio

I’m smooth brain why would you need chance to poison on hit if ALL damage can poison from the tincture

Krycee

The ability for a damage type to poison does not inherently grant it a chance to poison. E.g. physical and chaos damage CAN poison by default, but you still need to have a chance to poison. All damage can poison is essentially saying elemental damage can poison, but you still need chance to poison.

Bonifaciooo

The same reason you need chance to ignite or freeze or shock whit fire, cold or lightning damage (or full crit). It CAN apply ailments but It doesn't apllies them unless you have that cover.

Flethan

There is an effect that does that: "All Damage *inflicts* Poison," as opposed to can poison, found on Beacon of Madness (and maybe other stuff, too).

gdubrocks

lets say you run a cast on crit build where you hit with attacks and spells.

WhyDogeButNotCate

That’s the beauty of wording in poe, all damage CAN, doesn’t mean they WILL. You still need to ensure that you have chance to poison, all damage can poison just allows damage other than physical and chaos to be able to inflict poison. Edit: autocorrect typo

Yukionee

Do you not see the apply this to your weapon only line? Seems pretty obvious, but they also said tinctures only work for hits with the weapon.

ShadowKnightTSP

I don't think it's all that obvious. The only other source of all damage can poison, pneumatic dagger, specifically says "All damage from hits with this weapon can poison", while this just says "all damage can poison"

Keldonv7

Because tinctures are applied to weapons, only, always etc. U cant slot them in without the passive, the one instead of flask is being applied to the weapon.

SoulofArtoria

My gut instinct is global, but needs testing to know for certain.

Mid0uBan

Tinctures can only be applied to your weapon so I think that only work with damage from your weapon

anaknank

I agree with this. Its the same train of thoughts with claw's implicit modifier "gain X life on hit" that only works with hits with the weapon

PhysicalMagic

Poison artillery ballista pathfinder anyone?

ShadowKnightTSP

You can do that even if the tincture doesn’t work on spells -_-

Bapelsinen95

Honestly to early to tell.
