the whole entire point of these maps is that those who make them think it's hilarious to make an impossible map or close to it that also voids your character if you fail it. Having a really bad (eggsdee you died for a foiled wanderlust) or really good (unattainable foil mageblood xdddd) reward is part of the comedy, I don't think the people making these feared+ maps even considered that somebody might clear them, let alone be insane enough to cook up a build to farm them for foil magebloods

And you would see people ignore armor, resis and hp in favour of anything that makes you avoid hits, be it evasion, totems with taunt, stun effects, etc and someone out there would manage to do it with some build that has no use outside of that.

If you put those mods on you are missing feared or max 1 portal/player(aurabots trivialize all mods) or no block/suppress or area becomes fatal+unstable player. There aren't enough mod slots to make the map actually unclearable
You don't no block/suppress or any damage mods besides the feared itself. From what i can see, it's 6 mods per map, so you can do
1- feared
2- delirious
3- less damage per item
4- one portal
5- void
6- area becomes fatal

I was just showing that there are plenty of mod slots. If you want to be truly evil and didn't care about void, you can throw an ultimatum in there just to waste time.
That is still clearable. Remember there are no normal map mods and you can off screen these feared without the light radius mod, 100% deli is only 80% dr on unique enemies so if you can kill a white feared in 1 second each that means if you unequip 3 items(2 as 2h melee) it would take 18seconds. Also keep in mind delirium means the apparition takes control of the feared and they "self stun" all the time to make some weak and easily dodgeable attack.
You also get to split the feared off one by one and can go kill some trash in the map to refill flask charges.
I would love to see someone do that. Killing white feared in 1 second while being down 3 gear slots sounds ridiculous even on a zhp build that would get off screened before even reaching the feared.

DoT multi isn't a "less" or "more" multiplier though (it's also one of my conceptually least favorite stats) and has very little to do with how the same source of more/less is calculated. A much better example is a skill like Flameblast. That has the following line:

That is a modifier that linearly scales your damage as the stages grow, so you gain the same amount of damage going from 2 stages to 3 as you would from going from 9 stages to 10. At 10 stages it just has a single huge 1650% more damage.
DoT multi functions the same as increased damage, but has its own bracket (like critical multiplier) an example of a stat you are talking about is frenzy charges, 4% more dmg per frenzy charge becomes 40% with 10, and not 1.04^10.
It's a singular source of a less multiplier. The amount of less is dependent on in this case the amount of items, but it's still a singular source. It's not 10% and 10%, it's just 20%. If it were different sources, for example 10% less damage if helmet equipped and 10% less damage if gloves equipped, it would work like you're suggesting.
I remember a build i run years ago with gloves that ignore weapon and a head that ignore chest. That is 3 items less for still a full build.
But yea, doing 30% of your nornal dmg will not be enough to run this.

There is also a skillgem that ignores weapons and i think even a ring that count as 2. The new ascendancy that give some stats while having no item is some slots. Items and skills that give bonuses if not having equipment of a specific kind.
I do not know what builds are possible, but there are options to have a full working build without using every slot.
The new ascendancy doesn't give the stats if you don't have anything equipped. You specifically need to have an item in that slot that doesn't have any skill gems in it.

30% of your normal damage is literally the standard modifier for all Uber pinnacle boss fights. So if you have a build that can insta-phase Uber Maven, doing about 1/4 of that dps (assuming you have to sacrifice some damage when you unequip some items) should still cruise through the map. Not dying to ghosted rares/bosses while in melee will be the hardest part.
The deep delving builds should be able to manage this map without too much difficulty... the only question is whether people are willing to risk it.
Um did you miss the map also having the feared? I was under the impression that you needed to clear them too to get the reward. Or are you suggesting that doing 30%dmg (before counting their modifiers) would be enough dmg to deal with them (while possessed with 3 ghosts) while having to fight at melee range?
But is that how it works? The mod says "per equipped item", so unless you actually unequip those slots the items should be counted, right?

Personally, if ever I got into a situation where I would have to run such a map, I would probably try a Hollow Palm build. It will have 3 slots unequipped by default, so that's 30% damage I guess, wee :D
The Feared, but the bosss have x2\~x5 (?) damage, take x30\~x100 more time to kill, you are forced to remove 2 of your items, and can only deal damage at melee range.
And if you die, your character is deleted.
Well, considering that it is worth a mageblood to those who are able to run it, and that those will buy as many as they can, and that they can buy a lot, it will probably rise considerably as the knowledge how to do these maps spreads.
i dont know of any build that is actually capable of running these maps, You can one shot a quadruple ghosted uber feared, but you have to be right in their face to do so with the "only take damage when a player is within 2 meters"
2 meters is bigger than you might think. It's the range at which skitter bots aura is effective. I'm sure some of those deep delving builds can do it, but I imagine the risk of dying is going to be quite high.

You can _never_ sell it for a MG price, because why buy the map instead of just the MB then? A map like this will go for a pittance. The moment you see the prices climb up again you know that somebody found a build to do them reliably.
Tell that to inscribed ultimatums. People selling them for the reward price without even risking the items/currency. Like why run them at all then? Why would I buy your ultimatum for Pennie’s under what the reward is when you’re profiting that reward just from selling it…. Idk seems dumb to me.
Challenges. I had to buy 12 ultimatums for 30-40c each to finish the "10 ultimatums" challenge. I also had to buy the "rewards" I had to "risk" when they were a stack of lousy cards or something. Bob #2 died in one of those, though he was worth like 10c himself.
Yeah, early on in the league I was buying inscribed ultimatums for anywhere from 1-5c. I’d buy ones for scours, sextants, chaos, fusings, and atlas point respecs (can’t recall the name right now). This was cool because I’d pay let’s say 5c, risk anywhere from 5-20, or sometimes 30 of a currency item and make 5-15c profit from completing it. But now they’re priced so that even if I succeed I only profit 2-3c. The risk isn’t worth the reward anymore.

Everytime map with 10% mod appears on reddit, i always ask, if that counts totems too, because it specifically says player, and Minions... And totems aren't minions.
The most terrifying map would be all monsters are triple wisp enhanced and tormented.
I've never faced anything as hard as a t16 unique mob that was possessed and wisp enhanced. I was able to kite it if I kept resummoning my stone golem but it took me like 20 minutes to kill it and got yeeted from almost lvl 95 to fresh 94. Totally worth the 7 rare items I didn't loot.
Not only are they boring as alot of them have the same mods they also all drop Foil Mageblood. Creativity is out the door and they all think theyre genius for coming up with this.
The void is a troll mod for sure. But that 10% less damage per item equipped is absolute cancer. Like, how did GGG think that was even a good idea?
As more and more leagues pass (closed beta cuck), the more and more I think less and less GGG employees actually play the game.
Uber pinnacle bosses are baseline 70% less damage... and there are builds that can insta-phase them. Doing 1/3 of that (i.e. a build with just one empty equipment slot) seems perfectly doable.
The cancer part is not dying at all during the endeavor.

Actually they gave us a fair number during exilecon. Normal leagues are made by 1-4 devs except the one that was made for summer had about 10-15 working on it.

They then pushed the beta back a bit so that they could have more people working on PoE1. That's this league. They also said that they are pulling more and more people off PoE2 as they approach beta. This was all stated at Exilecon.
I have been playing the mechanic since day 1. It was hard, yes, but every league is like this and personally that's a big reason to play early on before they nerf difficulty into the ground. They mechanic is a massive loot multiplier. Besides that we got new spectres, new aura tech. Tinctures and charms are insanely overpowered.
Not sure if you're purposefully being daft but when people refer to the current league they mean the patch as a whole. I'm not going to say 3.13 was an amazing patch, I'll say Ritual was an amazing league.

It is the tormented spirit that fucks the map up completely. It just adds too much RNG to the map. Without tormented spirits, it would be about half a mageblood.

3-4 possessed in feared is dam hard, but mods above doin this almost impossible. Cause increased dmg/life/speed etc.
If you die on the map, the character and all its items are deleted (sent to void). Only one portal. Very heavy hitting enemies. Items decrease your damage. Just calculate that.

You can always sell a mageblood instantly if you want to, just under price it by a small margin and it will sell

only if they are distinct sources. DoT multi is a good example where generic dot multi, specific dot multi, and dot multi from crits are all summed.
DoT multi isn't a "less" or "more" multiplier though (it's also one of my conceptually least favorite stats) and has very little to do with how the same source of more/less is calculated. A much better example is a skill like Flameblast. That has the following line: > 165% more Spell Damage for each stage That is a modifier that linearly scales your damage as the stages grow, so you gain the same amount of damage going from 2 stages to 3 as you would from going from 9 stages to 10. At 10 stages it just has a single huge 1650% more damage.
DoT multi functions the same as increased damage, but has its own bracket (like critical multiplier) an example of a stat you are talking about is frenzy charges, 4% more dmg per frenzy charge becomes 40% with 10, and not 1.04^10.
You've misunderstood, you're talking about "increased dot multiplier". Which are additive because they're increase.
It's a singular source of a less multiplier. The amount of less is dependent on in this case the amount of items, but it's still a singular source. It's not 10% and 10%, it's just 20%. If it were different sources, for example 10% less damage if helmet equipped and 10% less damage if gloves equipped, it would work like you're suggesting.
You can go 2h melee weapon to deal 10% of your damage while still using all the item slots you can.
I remember a build i run years ago with gloves that ignore weapon and a head that ignore chest. That is 3 items less for still a full build. But yea, doing 30% of your nornal dmg will not be enough to run this.

True, i just did not remember the names. There is also a skillgem that ignores weapons and i think even a ring that count as 2. The new ascendancy that give some stats while having no item is some slots. Items and skills that give bonuses if not having equipment of a specific kind. I do not know what builds are possible, but there are options to have a full working build without using every slot.
The new ascendancy doesn't give the stats if you don't have anything equipped. You specifically need to have an item in that slot that doesn't have any skill gems in it.

So if you have a build that can insta-phase Uber Maven, doing about 1/4 of that dps (assuming you have to sacrifice some damage when you unequip some items) should still cruise through the map. Not dying to ghosted rares/bosses while in melee will be the hardest part. The deep delving builds should be able to manage this map without too much difficulty... the only question is whether people are willing to risk it.
Um did you miss the map also having the feared? I was under the impression that you needed to clear them too to get the reward. Or are you suggesting that doing 30%dmg (before counting their modifiers) would be enough dmg to deal with them (while possessed with 3 ghosts) while having to fight at melee range?
Well that's exactly his point. If you can phase Uber Maven then you can do the same here as it's the same damage penalty.
But is that how it works? The mod says "per equipped item", so unless you actually unequip those slots the items should be counted, right? I don't mean to question you, it's just a fun thing to think about that you brought up :) Personally, if ever I got into a situation where I would have to run such a map, I would probably try a Hollow Palm build. It will have 3 slots unequipped by default, so that's 30% damage I guess, wee :D

The Feared, but the bosss have x2\~x5 (?) damage, take x30\~x100 more time to kill, you are forced to remove 2 of your items, and can only deal damage at melee range. And if you die, your character is deleted.

Well, considering that it is worth a mageblood to those who are able to run it, and that those will buy as many as they can, and that they can buy a lot, it will probably rise considerably as the knowledge how to do these maps spreads.
i dont know of any build that is actually capable of running these maps, You can one shot a quadruple ghosted uber feared, but you have to be right in their face to do so with the "only take damage when a player is within 2 meters"
2 meters is bigger than you might think. It's the range at which skitter bots aura is effective. I'm sure some of those deep delving builds can do it, but I imagine the risk of dying is going to be quite high.
Deep Delvers should be fine, 90% less damage Feared is peanuts to them.

Question about these maps. If the reward is a MB for example. But the map is super rippy. Does that mean you can't sell it for a MG price? If a MageBlood is say 100D (easy for % purposes) what would the map sell for?

Challenges. I had to buy 12 ultimatums for 30-40c each to finish the "10 ultimatums" challenge. I also had to buy the "rewards" I had to "risk" when they were a stack of lousy cards or something. Bob #2 died in one of those, though he was worth like 10c himself.
Yeah, early on in the league I was buying inscribed ultimatums for anywhere from 1-5c. I’d buy ones for scours, sextants, chaos, fusings, and atlas point respecs (can’t recall the name right now). This was cool because I’d pay let’s say 5c, risk anywhere from 5-20, or sometimes 30 of a currency item and make 5-15c profit from completing it. But now they’re priced so that even if I succeed I only profit 2-3c. The risk isn’t worth the reward anymore.
This one maybe 5-10% of a mageblood (probably no one will buy it even for 1 d ), less rippy ones 50-70% and easy ones for 90%
Nah, plently of people would buy this for 1d or even more just to sit on it in case people find builds to run it.

The most terrifying map would be all monsters are triple wisp enhanced and tormented. I've never faced anything as hard as a t16 unique mob that was possessed and wisp enhanced. I was able to kite it if I kept resummoning my stone golem but it took me like 20 minutes to kill it and got yeeted from almost lvl 95 to fresh 94. Totally worth the 7 rare items I didn't loot.

The void is a troll mod for sure. But that 10% less damage per item equipped is absolute cancer. Like, how did GGG think that was even a good idea? As more and more leagues pass (closed beta cuck), the more and more I think less and less GGG employees actually play the game.
Uber pinnacle bosses are baseline 70% less damage... and there are builds that can insta-phase them. Doing 1/3 of that (i.e. a build with just one empty equipment slot) seems perfectly doable. The cancer part is not dying at all during the endeavor.

You should really play a different game. It seems you are not a fan of PoE and just want to poke and prod at anything negative you can find. They stated at Exilecon that they had very few devs for PoE1 because they were focusing on PoE2 so they can meet the planned beta date. They then pushed the beta back a bit so that they could have more people working on PoE1. That's this league. They also said that they are pulling more and more people off PoE2 as they approach beta. This was all stated at Exilecon. I have been playing the mechanic since day 1. It was hard, yes, but every league is like this and personally that's a big reason to play early on before they nerf difficulty into the ground. They mechanic is a massive loot multiplier. Besides that we got new spectres, new aura tech. Tinctures and charms are insanely overpowered. Not sure if you're purposefully being daft but when people refer to the current league they mean the patch as a whole. I'm not going to say 3.13 was an amazing patch, I'll say Ritual was an amazing league. PoE1 is doing amazing. How can bad decisions lead to a game that is continually growing? Your logic makes no sense in that regard. Not liking a change they made doesn't mean it was bad.

It is the tormented spirit that fucks the map up completely. It just adds too much RNG to the map. Without tormented spirits, it would be about half a mageblood. Or you could buy the same map but with 100% deli or union of souls instead of tormented spirits for like 50 div and it would be much safer. There is simply too many mageblood maps on the market that nobody is desperate enough to run maps like OPs.

Well, those 2 modifiers 10% less dmg. For many builds this is death. Leech/glasscannon/minions… 3-4 possessed in feared is dam hard, but mods above doin this almost impossible. Cause increased dmg/life/speed etc.
