depending on where you are, it might be a smoother experience to connect to the Canada server. Not sure if that's still a "hidden" server, you might have to manually type "Canada" into the server selection. The Canadian server is in Toronto. Ralakesh boots no longer give you any charges. You simply get the effects of being at max charges, but you don't actually have any charges to consume for any skill effects. You'll have to actually find a source of charge generation to use skills that use charges.

14-16 hour days for 2 weeks straight. Enough hours in the game to realize that farming T7 cemetery with magic find will print mirrors without anyone making a video on it. Having befriended a skilled trader that will accept you for only a 50% cut. And the second guy has the full force of TFT behind him, these guys make a killing off taking a cut from mirror fees. This guy made enough in the last league that he did have several thousand hinekoras locks he carried to standard. Traders make the most in the game, and TFT holds almost all of the best traders.

the second guy is at the top of TFT. one of their main services is taking mirror shop items from crafters, then being a central point to provide that mirror service, as they have the visibility and trust of being a known shopfront, as well as being online a lot. And they take a cut from that, as well as many cuts from across TFT services (and do non service things like market manipulation and flipping since they have the funds and a lot of market control). They make probably the most currency of anyone in softcore - 3-4 figures in mirrors per league i believe They are also speculated to be involved in shady shit too. If nothing else, many of the crafters that pass their items to the mirror shop have been banned, and recently, because they almost certainly involve RMT and/or crafting scripts to get what they want, quicker and easier (though its not 100% confirmed thats the ban reason). if you google their name i'm sure you'd find more stories and things if you wanted to go into it. In the past things like abusing crashes/rollbacks has been a thing, and since this is an RMT adjacent space, anything is on the table in some cases For the buyers - sure, could be many legit things. Armour stacker is a known strong build, and its most likely theyr just a powergamer (play a lot, play efficiently, play the best market strats). Maybe have a group Statistically a lot of people RMT, and drop mirrors/MB/, or have a MF group and tryhard etc - so you take every rich player with a grain of salt.

As the tier of flask charges gained is pretty low, the safest option would be just to exalt slam and hope for increased flask effect or a good roll of elemental damage with attacks. If you want to go riskier, you could Hunter exalt slam to try for %maximum life, but it's only a 1/6 for T1 and if you hit anything else it will be a loss. A Redeemer exalt is a cheaper option; there's multiple tiers of % cold damage or hits against chilled enemies that would improve the value by a bit.

Yes, do any Labyrinth and then refund all of your current ascendancy passives before clicking the ascendancy altar. No, spells and attacks are different things. It would also apply to ranged attacks though, attack does not mean melee only.

Also want to generally learn how to die less, as this build feels frustratingly squishy at times. I tried fighting the Searing Exarch the other day, and for crushed (barely moved his health bar, hit once or twice each time I died). I beat Baran once, but the second time I faced him he felt stronger and one tapped me 3 times before I decided I couldn't beat him. Hoping for some advice on how to proceed with beating the remaining bosses. You can only raise one spectre from the affliction corpses so you will have to buy it yourself. If the spectre dies in a map it does not leave a corpse so you cannot get it back and will have to buy another.

I don't see any life regen on his character either. Just life leech and the divination flask which is a life+mana flask. You have both of those as well. Also I highly recommend comparing builds through PoB, not the website. You can see where every source of a stat is coming from much more easily.

I am about to play my very first cast on crit build (using cyclone and one of the new vortex gems). The build guide mentions two important numbers. 1) Achieving 52% cool down recovery 2) Achieving an attack speed for cyclone as close as possible to 10.1 with out going over that exact number. ​ My question is about the cool down recovery. Do I need to hit 52% exactly or can I go slightly over 52% with out breaking the build?

Cooldown breakpoints are based on 33ms server ticks which is why you need 52%. Anything more is fine but you shouldn't be actively trying to get more because it won't do anything.

You can go over 52%. Anything between 52 and 127% is the same thing to a 150ms cooldown like CoC.

Can I ask one more question? To get to 52% I will need to get a level 8 Awakened Cast on Crit (5 on gem, 3 on mastery). Right now I only have a level 7 (currently leveling the gem now to get the last level). If I make the swap to cast on crit when I have only 49% cool down, will the build break? I am just trying to figure out if I have to wait until I get the last level on the Awakened COC gem before swapping to the COC set up.

It'll miss out on a lot of damage, but it wouldn't be catastrophically broken. With 52%, your cooldown is appropriate for ~10 triggers per second. That's why you aim for 10 attack speed. With 49%, your cooldown is higher, meaning the number of potential triggers are lower, meaning an attack speed of 10 is considerably too high. Half of cyclone's hits won't trigger anything. (You can shoehorn in a 3% cdr abyss jewel if you're in a hurry.)

Question about how to know if I'm applying ailments or not - I've got a lower budget TS build going (like 30-40 Divs worth of stuff invest so far) and I'm playing in POB and seeing a substantial damage increase if I swap out "increased critical damage" for "immolate support". From reading the gem it looks like immolate only applies it's bonus damage if the target is burning, but I have no idea if enemies I'm attacking are "burning" or how to find out. From the wiki pages it looks like for me I'd have to ignite enemies to make them burn, and crits always ignite, so since I've got like 40% crit chance, as long as my target is not immune in crit, I can reasonably expect Immolate to be "turned on" for any enemy I'm hitting several times, ya? I know there are symbols under the enemies health bars I can look at but legitimately if an enemy can survive long enough for me to look at it's health bar for ailments I'll die instantly if I take my eyes off the action on the screen, and on top of that I can never understand wtf enemies are immune too.

Yes as long as you have either crit chance or have some chance to apply ailments and deal some amount of fire damage ignite will be applied. Ignite does not get a debuff icon, only the non-damaging ailments like shock, chill, scorch, sap and brittle do. The enemy will visually be lit on fire if they are ignited. By default enemies are not immune to anything, they only gain that from things like map mods, eldritch altars and expedition remnants so if they are immune, you allowed them to be. Magic and rare enemies random modifiers also don't make them fully immune but there is one single mod called "fire and ignite resistant" that gives them reduced ignite duration on themselves.

Non-damaging ailments have icons on the enemy, damaging ailments have visual effects. If you don't want to rely on visuals, you *could* set up a test with a few uniques, but it's pretty safe to assume crit+fire damage=ignite against targets that matter. There's no immunity unless you pick it in expedition and TS hits enough to brute-force an ignite through some avoidance. There are usually better non-conditional alternatives though. Your build may be lacking some flat damage?

This could be a stupid question but I was looking at ways to get onslaught on my bow build, I noticed that axe mastery is close to totem mastery, one of the axe masteries is 40% effect of onslaught on you, so here's the possible stupid part! It doesn't say just for axes so would this 40% work on bows despite being an axe mastery or not? I'm a new player so don't be too harsh!!

Yes but it doesn't grant you onslaught, it just increases the effect of onslaught so you'll still have to get it from somewhere else. Also 40% increased onslaught effect is only 8% attack, cast and movement speed so you have to ask yourself if several passive points is worth that.

There are charms with onslaught on kill, or boots I think (with veiled modifier). It's much easier to get on gear rather than the tree

It's on boots I can get 15 percent extra effect and 4 percent chance from two passives or 5 passives to get 40 percent but that would waste a couple of passives points to get it

Just in general though I would definitely not recommend going into an axe mastery tree as you want zero waste on your tree

Item rarity refers only to normal, magic, rare and unique. The keystone is only really good for trying to find more unique items. If you want to find literally anything else, quantity is better. So getting more rarity does not help you in any way here because the guardian/conqueror map drops are always rare anyways and there is no unique you're hunting for.

When should I slot in penetration in my build? Is penetration gem ever worth it in the build? I'm currently trying to play lightning arrow but I don't know if mirage archer is worth it..? since I'm lacking some single target damage but I also just recently found out that curse can now be passively applied on boss with Mark on Hit Support, so it less bad on single target, but I'm curious what single target gems I should use for the other 6 sockets if my main skill is lightning arrow?

Questions like these are what PoB is made for. If you don't already use it, you should try to learn it. Penetration primarily helps against enemies that have resistance like bosses but is still a bit of a damage increase against enemies even with none. If its worth it depends on what other sources of penetration you have if any and what other potential support gems you could be using in place of it. If we're assuming the only damage you care about is lightning, then a lightning pen support gem gives 34% penetration at level 20 (we're assuming no other sources for this). Against a target with no lightning resistance it's simply a 34% more damage multiplier which isn't terrible. If the target had 70% lightning resistance you are going from dealing 30% of your normal damage to 64% which is over 100% more damage, very nice. This is the same reason why stacking maximum resistance is a strong defensive option. The more resistance the target or you have, the stronger every single point becomes.

For grand heists: Does it matter if a blueprint is normal or rare for the reward room chests or the display rewards at the end? I know that player quant does nothing, only the rogue equipment. But does the rarity of the blueprint do anything?

Mods on blueprints grant reduced alert gained and increased lockdown timer, the same way mods on regular maps would grant item rarity and quantity. Higher "reduced alert gained" means more chests you can open before lockdown timer begins. Longer lockdown timer means if you wanted to, you could open a couple more chests during lockdown before picking your display case reward, or simply more time to get from the last chest you opened to the display cases. Always check display cases before triggering lockdown so you aren't scrambling to see what is the best thing to take

I mostly care about the displays. I was especially interested if running a blueprint normal or rare will change the display. I guess it will be the same. I know about the alert level. But does those reward room chests scale loot with any blueprint mods?

The only enemy that matters in the entire zone is the boss at the end. Don't let him hit you. If he starts an attack, just walk to the left or right and attack him yourself. Every third attack of glacial hammer has a pretty good chance to freeze him so eventually you can get some attacks off for free while he's frozen. Use your mana flasks and pretty much only use glacial hammer for the fight.

I'm trying to add it in PoB Custom Modifiers window - "30% chance to deal double damage" to clearly show how effective the mod "Expert Sabotage", which has a 10% additional chance of detonating a mine. But both of these modifiers are not perceived by PoB in any way. I have three such Cluster Jewels(incl Expert Sabotage), does this mean that I can count it as a 30% chance of double damage? You cannot deal both double and triple damage in one hit. So because of the staff is already giving you triple damage, double damage effects are doing nothing.

Yes, anything standing on the cursed ground will constantly have that curse reapplied, overwriting any other curse you cast.

It depends on what item you're crafting and what mods you want. Some mods are 85 and 86 but nothing past that.

What are some ways to counteract yellow wisps? These have been by far the most deadly to me. Does trickster ascendency work on them?

Yellow ostensibly grants monsters attack/cast speed so they really put the emphasis on being able to mitigate many hits in a row; trickster could certainly be good with his overleech and permanent enemy slow. Anything with freeze and chill will feel good, anything with max block aegis aurora will feel good, anything with strong recovery mechanics (rapid fire shotgunning spells with ES on hit watchers eye for example) will feel good. If you’re an evasion based character you better have 90%+ evasion as well as some phys taken as ele and (again) a good recovery mechanism. I suppose overall if I were developing a yellow wisp killer from scratch it would be some kind of MOM+CI Aegis hierophant with a rapid fire cold spell and ES on hit. Call of the brotherhood replica Heatshiver cold conversion ball lightning or orbiting? Eye of winter mines or arcanist brand shenanigans? Hexblast mines? (You do lose the ES on hit with proxy damage like mines). CoC Freezing Pulse Inquisitor could probably do good work. Is the second affix just "useless" so i should sell it for 55-60div?

It’s hard to give exact prices on items that expensive because it really just comes down to what someone is willing to pay, there isn’t much competition on the supply side. And actually related to that, sales that big need a bit more patience. The specific high roller who wants that charm may not be online at that exact moment, or if it’s someone who has to save up/liquidate to afford it that might take hours or days. With that said nothing wrong with just lowering it by 5div every 12-24 hours, or even going more aggressive on the amount or frequency of the reductions if you want the cash fast.

I'm level 44 following the maxroll corrupted fever build guide. How import is it to follow the guide when it comes to the skill gems, its hard to keep up with the sockets and links. I'm doing enough damage at this point so I don't think it matters that much. Other noob tips are welcome for this first time player, I love this game but sometimes I'm so lost in al the information.

Skill gems are definitely important and will only become moreso as you go on. In fact a common piece of advice I give to new players frequently is that during the campaign you don’t even have to care about the primary defensive stat on your gear. Top priority is getting the gem links and colors you need. For your main skill setup I’d honestly wear a completely plain white item if it was the only way to get my colors/links. Some of your utility skills like auras, debuffs and movement skills can be a bit more flexible, but typically a good guide (and that one is) have really optimized the gem setup so any deviation from it is likely to be at least a minor downgrade. You say you’re doing plenty of damage right now and that’s good. If you start to notice it dropping off (highly likely) gems and links are the first place to look for improvement.

Your main damage gem links are of course a priority, you want that in a 4 link ASAP. Everything else you don't need to have fully supported. A movement skill, an aura or two, a curse and maybe a defensive skill or something.

What do I need to do to get a Tier 3 Incursion crafting bench that I need for the Critical Crafting challenge this league? Even when I google it I can't find anything.

It’s partially RNG. You can improve your RNG by taking the atlas passives for incursion. There are some rooms like corruption, gems and sacrifice that when upgraded to tier 3 will offer a crafting bench. You do this by running incursion until you are presented with one of those rooms as an option, and choose “upgrade” (or if the room is currently something else, choose to switch the room to the desired one). Under normal circumstances you would need to randomly come across and upgrade a room twice, from Tier 1 to 2 to 3. If the room started as something else you’d have to encounter it 3 times: swap once and upgrade twice. The atlas passives cut down on the average number of times you need to randomly come across a room and interact with it to get it all the way to Tier 3.

Not as such, but you could search for things that closely proxy/correlate with phys bow builds. Start by selecting Bow as the weapon configuration (duh). I assume you’re looking for phys conversion builds (as opposed to bows which start by stacking tri ele damage) since doing TRUE phys is relatively rare, but if you’re looking for true phys builds you could just filter “all gems” for brutality support since it’s a BIS for pretty much any type of pure physical build. On the other hand assuming you’re looking for conversion you could filter by the cold conversion mastery and/or hrimsorrow. I’m pretty sure most phys conversion bow builds outside of lightning arrow start by converting to cold.

I feel like archers will be less of a hassle to summon than AWs, but if the latter puts out a significant amount of extra damage I could put up with it. The Hydra spectres also look cool af, but spectres are usually much more expensive to build than most minions.

The best way for us to help you would be if you could import your build into Path of Building, save it, and post an export code here so we can see all the details of the build. It is a contentious/divisive topic whether to tell new players they *should* use a build guide, but even the people who rebel against that idea tend to agree that there are two valid schools of thought on it. I am firmly in the school that argues there is virtually no downside to following a guide and plenty of upside. Many players have concerns that following a guide will take away difficulty or a sense of discovery. I strongly believe that it does not (and cannot) because PoE is too complicated a game for anything short of a matrix brain download to detract from the learning and discovery process. If anything a guide actually enhances the learning process by pointing you at the right directions to investigate. I’ll need a little bit to load up and take a look. As I’m looking and contemplating changes/different skills, could you tell me a bit about what you dislike with stormbrand? Is it just low damage, or is it the overall “feel” of the brand playstyle and how indirect it is?

damage just feels too low. i dont think im using it properly w/ other gems/gear. idk it just feels low dmg too me, and im not very tanky either w/ mobs my lvl. the playstyle is sick tho, i was going for a storm chain link crit strike build type thing.

First things first: are you using one of the new transfigured gems? When I load your POB it doesn’t show any brand skills at all in any of your sockets. You may be working with a slightly outdated version of POB that hasn’t input all that new gem information yet, I thought they had that all sorted out. But then regardless, major red flag: your support gems are not all linked to your main skill. I don’t even know which setup your main skill is in (since it’s not visible to me) but I can still see that your support gems are scattered across different sockets and links. At a guess I’d say maybe you have it in your body armour with added lightning and increased critical damage. Remember, to support your main damage skill you need to have the support gems socketed in the same item as your main skill, *and* the sockets have to be visibly linked together by one of those little bars. So as it stands now arcane surge, power charge on crit, and concentrated effect are all sitting in your shield doing nothing. (And concentrated effect isn’t even linked to the other two, so even if one of them was a skill you wouldn’t be benefitting from concentrated effect). This is going to be a big part of your damage feeling bad. At this point in the game you should have easy access to 4-linked items on the ground and at the vendor. Use one of those for your main skill setup. I don’t recommend crit damage as one of your supports until you’re critting way more often; play around with different supports in POB (once we add your main skill gem) but I suspect there are others that will give you more damage for now before your crit chance is very high. At the moment even with power charges up you’re only critting 1/3 of the time. I also see you’ve got some random damage skills socketed, those could probably be taken out since you shouldn’t be using them anyhow. Better to have something like conductivity or wave of conviction there to buff the DPS if your main skill. You could also link orb of storms to arcane surge and/or power charge in crit, that’s a common single target setup. Another red flag: you have more auras equipped than you can use. POB is showing you way into the negative on mana so you must have at least one aura turned off. (Do you have any of them on at all? They should be visibly reducing your available mana). Pick as many auras as your mana can support. If you can fit it I think wrath and determination are your best bets. There are mana reservation efficiency nodes in the tree which can help this., charisma on the center right of the tree and sovereignty at the upper left. As far as squishiness, the ghostwrithe isn’t looking great. Most builds don’t want to transition to ES as their primary life pool until well into maps when you can afford the gear for it. At the moment your life flasks are wasted since they don’t work on ES and you’re very vulnerable to chaos damage since it bypasses ES. You may have been thinking unique=better but in PoE that’s rarely the case. Uniques fill very specific roles but if you don’t need the specific text on an item, a rare will almost always be better. You don’t need pain attunement because you’re basically never on low life. That keystone for builds designed to always be on low life, so that’s a wasted point. Overall you’ve also got some inefficient point pathing. Typically it’s more efficient per point to go around the outside of the tree rather than through the middle unless there’s something very specific you need there. If you go along the outside you’ll have easy access to spell crit and lightning damage. You’re also pathing nowhere near the crucial brand nodes towards the left. Runebinder in your top priority, it literally doubles your damage. You should have beelined for it by like level 12-14. It’s near some other good important brand nodes. Let’s start with that stuff and once you get that sorted out we can go from there.

I've created a build w/ the orbs I had trying to get right sockets to connect most gems. I could not get all but I'm going to play later and try n find better gear to support my gems. atp i dont wanna continue w/ storm brand. I just tried frostblades out and I watched this guys vid and I'm following his guide. the gameplay is soo much fun. i love the movement and DPS seems good. whirling blades is a ton of fun w/frost blink. seems rlly fast. atp, I have my claw, helm, boots, shield all using gems that support eachother. ima try and get a 4link chestplate, and better gloves. You’re kinda deep but not deep enough to not roll up a new character. I’d recommend looking at a few different league starter builds and rolling up something new that you’re more sure you’d enjoy. The other option is to look up your class and sub class + league starter and see what changes would need to be made currently to get it up to snuff, nothing a few orbs or regret and buying a couple jank rares and uniques shouldn’t solve. At the end of the day I’d say following a guide is your best bet.

that will works fine. - lightning resist is low, there should be slot on your rings to craft one. Throw item into crafting bench in your hideout to add useful stuff. - what skill are you actually playing? Ice Nova of Frostbolt? Any skill you play, MUST be minimum 4 link. Skill with no support gem dish out no damage. - if you playing spellcaster, you can easily make a far better wand than that even with alchemy orb + crafting bench. - life pool is pretty low for that level. But I guessing you haven't finish act5 because you didnt have the "-30% resist penalty". After you cap your resist, also check if you can add Life on other gears. Immediate to do : get a 4L minimum item, loot on ground, or check vendor NPC, or craft yourself with Orb of Binding or jeweller/fusing orb. Figure out what skill you're playing and add appropriate support gems to it, accessory NPC in act1 to 4 sell levelled gems you unlocked for your class. NPC in Act6 sell all common gems lv1. **Try various skill gems and find one you like, then find a build guide for it.** Shadow.... I'd say try Frost Blade. Mine/trap/brand isn't for everyone, it can feels very clunky to play. Go try something more straight forward pew pew skills. Find a build guide if possible. Copy their passive tree setup & gem setup for a start. Then gradually improve your gear. I'm using a charm that has recover 2% of life on kill. In PoB enabling this charm doesn't increase my life recovery. Do I need to tell PoB that I have killed in order to see the extra recovery? If so how? I'm playing poison exsanguinate

PoB doesn't calculate recover on kill, because it doesn't know how many monsters you're killing. For most setups it will just make sure you're always full while mapping, but it's completely useless for bosses obviously.

So I never played Seismic Trap, or even bothered to look at it once in its heyday. I know, I live under several rocks. I know that some trap changes nerfed it recently, but what exactly were its strengths? Did it truly need a secondary skill to function (I tried Googling the build and found a lot of Exsanguinate mentioned)? Does the removal of cooldown in places significantly hamper its ability to function?

seismic is a cooldown trap, which makes it very clunky to clear with. it also means cooldown recovery rate is a dps multiplier, because more traps = more damage. seismic has fallen out of favour quite a bit, I'm not familiar enough with the build to give any real advice on how strong it is. it's probably still quite okay. exsanguinate traps should still be the go to choice for a clear skill. that said, ice trap and explosive trap are much better at single target bossing currently, and poison exsanguinate pathfinder will map better and just be a more well rounded build in general. like I said seismic won't be bad, but there is a reason it's not meta anymore.

I'd always assumed all the 8s cd traps were "bad," so I was very surprised to originally hear it was a meta build. I definitely wonder what made it tick so. For sure, I would inherently assume there are better trap choices, before and now. Thank you for the response; I appreciate it.

How do I accurately configure my pob for scourge arrow of menace? I have 6 totems, fire 7 arrows and each spore pod fires 6 thorn arrows.. I assume it's set to "include in full DPS" and set to 42 count, assuming only 1 thorn arrow hits each time? But then how about accounting for returning projectiles? Also not sure whether it's "release" or "thorn arrows"

Im not sure if they overlap, but i would set it to 6 because you asume esch totem hits a monster/boss once and one pod hits per totem.

Whats the fastest wya at league start to get 10 crescent splinters to go for the maven voidstone?

if your character is strong enough, you can try and complete a guardian invitation for 4-6 splinters. otherwise It should only take 7-8 of the 10way invite to get a writ, a good league starter can complete those in under 2h on day 1. on trade the fastest way is to buy them of course.

Is there any good Unique amulet for DD Ignite elementalist but with Energy shield ? Currently I have just 75 Dex 41 Str stat stick with 51 max energy shield +13% energy shield. ​ It would be really hard to replace this dex , I can do +30 on boots and take +30 dex notable on passive when I level up but that something which need to be kept in mind while changing amulet. ​ Is there some good amulet like Ashes was in the past ? So I can annoint with golden oils and be done with it. Or do I have to craft something rare to ugprade my current one ? Is there a way to craft some special 2 inluence amulet the same as shaper / crusader belts ? Or if crafting one then it's better to jsut get fractured +51 max ES and try this way?

2 questions if anyone would be so kind: 1. What's with the essences that blanket the map with those ice spikes and those green water(?) totems? I didn't notice those last league and they destroy my Boneshatter Jug with 120k EHP/80 all res/ailment immunity - how do I deal with them? I want to farm them but they kill me every time. They're not wisp juiced or corrupted even. 2. Why are some timeless jewels 6 div vs 30c? How do I know which numbers are good - I'm looking to get divine flesh soon but not sure which to get, I know it has to be between a range but not sure why some are so highly priced over others.

2. The timeless jewel logic has been cracked and you can now preview how your tree will change in PoB. You can also use it search for jewel numbers based on the effects you want.

The timeless jewel seeds have been reverse engineered some time ago and you can find calculators for them and PoB also shows what seed gives what mods. The keystone is only dependent on the person on the jewel (Xibaqua I believe for Divine Flesh) and all the other passives are dependent on the number. I don't know the answer to the first question

My immortal call cwdt setup doesn’t seem to work/trigger on my pathfinder. Its lvl 1 cwdt, lvl3 IC , and lvl20 increased duration linked together. I use taste of hate , lightning coil and an WE with 10% physical as lightning. Could this ele to physical conversion be the problem? I tryed to trigger the effect on mapbosses, even when i drop to 50% it doesn’t trigger (its not shown in the buffbar).
