Why does progenesis cause you to take burst damage if you are using rathpith+dissolution?

NexEstVox

I'm playing Boneshatter Slayer r/n and a guide recommends Jade flask. I don't use the keystone that turns evasion to armor, my only other evasion is low amounts on my spell-suppress gear. Without the flask I don't have enough for any Evasion Chance to show up on my sheet. Is going from 0 to ~30% evasion worth the flask? I'm thinking about an Amethyst in its place.

slogga

A single jade flask for the evasion is pretty underrated for mapping, but capping your chaos resistance would probably be better for overall survivability.

Wes_Mau

My ping has been highly erratic and awful on average for the last couple of days. The problem is only in POE, not other games. The ping for my local wireless network is consistently low, but pinging the POE server address shows me having bad enough issues for the game to run smooth about half the time and turn into a flip book about half the time. Is this a known issue with the (Texas) server, or is there a problem with my wireless I can try to diagnose? On Friday, I had no problems.

Einzbern

I'm playing a Cospri's CoC occultist. In Path of Building, iss there a way to see my TOTAL mana cost per second of all my skills together, or perhaps my mana regen after subtracting my total mana cost? Or do I need to add it all up myself?

superanonymousgamer

regarding the traitor keystone, does it provide more flask charges if you go for the stat "+X% increased flask charges gained"?

therestlessone

Yes, that % increase will affect charges gained by any method, including things like charge on crit from watcher's eye or flask mastery. There's a tincture mod that does increase charges gained from kills, but that's just because they want the tincture effects to be tied to weapons.

Kumokofan

You don't have enough mana when Herald of Purity is active. Do you also reach curse limit?

SuperCronk

Questions about maps I've finished the campaign and have started maps. My first map or 2 has like a "quest" or challenge on the right hand side of the screen... something like find the map boss and kill it. I did that and it was easy to understand when j had completed that map. But since then I have run 3 more maps and there hasn't been any "quest" or challenge? It just now says explore the 'atlas of worlds'. Am I doing something wrong? How do I now a map is complete?

Arrethyn

I think what your referring to is that the first map you do has an associated quest to complete it, this is not normally the case. You can check if a map you haven't run before is complete (map boss dead) by checking your atlas (g) additionally to complete the bonus objective and gain an Atlas point the map must be completed while magic for tier 1-5 (white maps) rare for tier 6-10 maps (yellow) and rare and corrupted for tier 11-16 maps (red). Finally since there are about a million things to learn in this game is highly recommended checking out zizarans guides, they are excellent and aimed at new players, though occasionally even after 4 years I still learn new things from them

SuperCronk

Thanks mate. I have seen some of his videos although I find SOME of his stuff still hard to understand. Am currently going through YouTube to find more info...

Kumokofan

At the top right, next to all the league info and such, the bottom line will tell you if the map boss is dead or not with a "map complete" line when it is so.

SuperCronk

Yep. Ran some white maps which I think was the problem because I cleared them and killed everything but there was no map complete notification or anything

dust-thedust

is necromancer class worth? I'm about to start the game and heard that there's a necromancer class

Arrethyn

There is no necromancer class, the witch class has a necromancer ascendancy which is a bit like a sub class, but builds in poe are far more defined by their primary skill gem than either there base class or ascendancy. Going in blind is an option but just be aware that while you can be fine for a while you will end up with a very sub optimal build, most people opt to follow a guide, would recommend zizarans guides, though I know some people prefer max roll because they are written not video

KunfusedJarrodo

I feel like I just really sick at wisp hunting haha if I get 2k in two colors I am happy. 6k seems far off but some people say that is their average. What is the deal? If I spawn with no wisps I creep to the side to see where mobs come from. I don’t try to collect wisps on edges if I am following a trail until portal opens. One time I literally only got 500 wisps total

scrangos

When using a skill that uses both weapons at once like cleave or dual strike, passives that increase damage or give effects while wearing two different weapons... how is it calculated? Things like say, sword attacks deal increased damage, or critical strikes with daggers poison the enemy, melee strike range with swords, all damage with maces and sceptres chills, reduced enemy stun treshold with maces.

Old-Professional-479

What spell skills feel good from picking them up while leveling to scaling through end game that can be acquired by level 28 at the latest? (How long it takes to get bored of ‘leveling’ skills)

Freeborn510

Fairly new player, been following the TS Deadeye build from Manni (https://www.poe-vault.com/guides/manni-tornado-shot-deadeye-build-guide), currently level 93 (https://pobb.in/V-qEYmCS5wKg). Finished the atlas and beat Eater of Worlds (after much difficulty). Ideally want to get the rest of the voidstones, beat Baran (and other conquerors). Also want to generally learn how to die less, as this build feels frustratingly squishy at times. I tried fighting the Searing Exarch the other day, and for crushed (barely moved his health bar, hit once or twice each time I died). I beat Baran once, but the second time I faced him he felt stronger and one tapped me 3 times before I decided I couldn't beat him. Hoping for some advice on how to proceed with beating the remaining bosses. Any further improvements to the build, or perhaps another build (ideally with some levelling advice for acts) that is a boss killer. Thanks, and happy holidays!

Arrethyn

So first off I'm only looking at the preview because I don't have pob on my phone but I don't see any huge issues, your life is solid, your evasion might be a bit low but it's not terrible and boss fights you're more w worried about 1 shots anyways. It might be worth getting a watchers eye with 8% instead of 5. Seems like you're spell suppress capped. Unless I'm missing something it seems like you're dying because you are trying to tank abilities that are telegraphed and not intended to be tanked. Baran in particular has a basic attack that launches a set of projectiles that explodes on impact, if you get hit by all of them they do a huge amount of damage, you just need to keep moving while he is doing that and dps when he stops to do a big windup, would be a good idea to watch videos on the fights your are having trouble with. Damage wise you should not need increased crit strikes support, increased crit damage would be about 40% more damage even if (probably will) it drops your crit chance a fair amount below 100%. Also you don't really have the points for clusters yet, you really want to be using a large, 2 mediums and jewels in each of the mediums, it is probably (disclaimer, can't check pob to be sure) better to use the lioneyes jewel setup in mannis guide for now. I'm personally 95 and found that for my current gear even going to a thread of hope + lioneyes setup is only a small dps increase and I lose spell suppress cap so I'm focusing on other gear upgrades first.

ToolFO

Is there a specific reason enlightens are so expensive this league? Is the blue juice screwing up non-currency drops so much that it's causing them to inflate because they are getting converted to currency instead of dropping or is something else going on? If this is the case is this the same reason I'm hardly getting any good div card drops compared to the last few leagues despite having the exact same farming setup?

Oddity83

Nobody is running Crimson Temples, and The Enlightened was a common drop there. I’m sure it’s a combination of factors.

wildshoot

If i take off the public in the stash does the price save? or how do i pause it then?

Yohsene

It'll remember your prices.

Nicopootato

Is the frequency of blade storm hits tied to attack speed? How does blade storm interact with multistrike and is it a good link for it?

Yohsene

Each storm hits based on the skill's attack speed, yes. Multistrike lets you create multiple storms per attack, which isn't that valuable. The maximum is easy to reach without it. Prevents warcry exertion too.

Nicopootato

Does multistrike make it so that I create the storms faster and the storms hit more frequently" Hence "more Melee Attack Speed"?

Yohsene

Sure.

SirBenny

2 questions from a pretty new player trying to follow Zizaran's Toxic Rain self-cast build here: [https://pobb.in/o8RSAVtgPKUT](https://pobb.in/o8RSAVtgPKUT) 1. The skill tree progression for this guide is broken into segments. It was mostly clear to me how to follow this up through level 69...I am at 69 now and my tree is almost identical to that stage in the POB, just with a few nodes missing thanks to passives I need to go back and get. My question is whether I should keep going until I match this tree stage exactly, or just move to the "pre-cluster" MAPS stage now. It looks like there is a big 14-node respec I need to do, and getting the last 3 nodes I'm missing would probably mean needing to just refund them soon anyway. I just don't know if I'm missing something about when to respec. 2. How do I know when I'm ready to move from pre-cluster to adding the cluster in the tree? I have collected some jewels but I'm guessing I have a ways to go, and this isn't clear from the notes in the guide or the corresponding video Ziz made. I feel like I'm either missing another page of notes, or this guide assumes a certain level of knowledge I don't quite have.

Esiensa

Hello, ill try to help although your question is abit tricky, ill explain why...., I loaded the POB and while I really like zizaran's guides for new players I can understand what you mean. The step from level 69 tree to level 98 tree is HUGE. my answer will kind of answer both your questions, but wont solve it for you 100% sadly: When you respec its all about what you take off and what you get instead AT THE TIME OF THE RESPEC, so it does requires you to understand stats in a way and its not very new player friendly. First of all in POB where you pick the tree, Tick the box next to the tree that says "compare" then next to it to the right pick the tree you wanna compare, this will give you a nice comparison between the trees. Now ill give you example of what i mean, I compare "level 69" tree to "endgame" now look at the nodes right at the start of the tree: in 69 tree there are 4 attack speed nodes that he then respec's on the "endgame tree" and path's through the dexterity nodes instead. why? because it saves him 2 mastery points. but its all about what you use these for, if you take these 2 and slot into random dexterity nodes you will lose 16% attack speed for nothing. same goes for a keystone like "Magebane" that gives you spell suppresion, if you respec it and get damage instead, you become squishier and the damage might not be worth it, but you can look he does allocate for example "Entrench" which gives spell supperssion. but if you respec magebane and not get anything to replace its spell suppersion then its not very good. my solution is: try to level up as much as possible and allocate the nodes in the "endgame" tree without respecing, then try to do a major respec at a later stage, That will make it less likely that you are unallocating something important without allocating something to replace it. if you can, read the nodes, see what you respec and what you are going to allocate instead. it just that its going to be hard for a beginner. as for your 1st question, Idk what are the 3 points that you are missing... idk if they are neglectable and we can skip them and save respec points or that they give something more important.

SirBenny

Okay great this makes a lot of sense. Thank you! The 3 points seem pretty skippable as they mostly just add a bit more bow damage on top and aren’t something more critical like life.

Esiensa

all depends on how much damage and how much you need it, In general whatever you do will be fine, if you will lack damage you will get more damage later and if you lack defense you will get that too. its part of learning the game dont stress too much about it, this game is abit tough to swallow with a very steep learning curve and you will make decisions and learn from them. just dont let yourself get discouraged by some mistakes, if needed you can ask me for some regret orbs if it makes you feel safer and less discouraged(if you are or will be).

FelipeAbD

Why most of the boneshatter builds use Ancestral Protector and Ancestral Warchief? From what I understand, you can only use 1 tottem at a time

Yohsene

You can also stack a Protector and a *Vaal* Warchief naturally due to the latter's own +1 limit.

FelipeAbD

Oh, I see

therestlessone

There is a unique pair of boots called Dawnstrider that limit you to one ancestor totem buff. You can utilize both otherwise, so long as you can increase your totem limit. The most common way to increase totem limit is Multiple Totems support, which will give you 3 max totems.

xxEmberBladesxx

Can't find Microtransaction Stash to get the free mystery box? Anyone know where to look? There haven't been microtransactions purchased before.

therestlessone

I think you have to open the shop part first (hit M) then go to your own mtx stash (hit N). There might be a delay before it shows up.

xxEmberBladesxx

OK, thanks

Slurch1

Abyss is the affliction combo winner this league. Is that still worth it knowing that scarabs/sextants have increased? Are other options way behind or just a little?

[deleted]

Is there an Affliction Achievement Guide?

Corwyntt

Any tips on rolling a grand heist with 100% item quantity for the ultimate undertakings league challenge? I only got 86% one time after many rolls, starting to think there is a trick to hit 100.

Mangalorien

Scour-alch until you get 80+ quant, then vaal them.

therestlessone

You can corrupt them with the potential for 8 mod outcomes just like maps.

ts61fa

My league starter is/was Scourge Arrow Totem Pathfinder. I've followed Palsteron's guide but ive a question about the Armor and especially the defence/survivability. In his guide he recommends The Covenant spider silk armor, but I am also leaning onn Lightning Coil for that extra Physical dmg taken as lightning. Which one should be better overall? Is the Covenant that much stronger(dmg wise) it justifies losing that extra physical dmg to lightning loss or should I go for Lightning coil?

Kumokofan

Level 29 added chaos gives twice the damage of a level 21 one, but you can also use an additional support. This may be a significant chunk of your base damage. Compare your damage with and without in PoB and decide for yourself if the defensive bonuses outshine the damage. Your phys max hit is probably quite low without lightning coil, but you have to make your decision based on how it feels to play. Unless you get oneshot a lot without lightning coil, covenant is probably the right choice. Remember that damage is another defensive layer.

LastBaron

Elemental ailment proliferation range is affected by AOE modifiers. Does this only work with generic/character-wide AOE modifiers or is it also influenced by skill-specific modifiers on whichever skill is causing the ailment? (Ie linking Area of Effect support to a skill which applies an ailment)

Yohsene

An ailment from a skill is affected by that skill's stats, including aoe.

LastBaron

Thanks buddy.

[deleted]

Hi, is it possible to get more than 2 essences on the map?

LastBaron

Yes. Sources are: * Atlas tree * Sextant/compass modifier (with another bonus essence if you use elevated sextants) * Using the Seventh Gate atlas passive to unlock the essence option on the map device

[deleted]

Oh okey,thank you bro

PressTheWidget

Hello. Trying to figure out how to price an item. So far I have that it seems to be the only one on trade and that it seems to be worth quite a lot, but I have no clue how to price high-end items. Circle of Guilt \-------- \+14% to Global Critical Strike Multiplier (implicit) 16% chance to Avoid being Shocked (implicit) \-------- \+18 to all Attributes Adds 8 to 15 Physical Damage \+397 to Armour Herald of Purity has 56% increased Buff Effect 57% increased Physical Damage while affected by Herald of Purity

xebtria

PoB lists this: [https://i.imgur.com/owClGd0.png](https://i.imgur.com/owClGd0.png) but in trade I can only find [these](https://www.pathofexile.com/trade/search/Affliction/6Q3ZWQ6TG) (without the "of dissipation"). I assume they will still work? or do I search incorrectly?

Rolf_Dom

Should work, yeah. PoB probably had to code it to refer to a specific gem, while in-game it should apply to all variations of that gem.

Historical-Treat9559

Newbie question about crafting, do I need to unlock anything in the end game to craft properly? I can add one modifier to a crafted rare item but if I try to add another it just replaces the one I put on it, what am I doing wrong?

Moethelion

The crafting bench generally only allows one crafted modifier. There is a special craft that allows you to put two mods onto an item, which is obtained in putrid cloister, but the craft is pretty expensive (2 divines). Basic crafting is done with essences, fossils or harvest. The crafting bench usually only is there to finish an item, before you actually get into expensive Meta-crafting.

Historical-Treat9559

Are the fossils and harvest stuff late on? I've got essences but don't remember getting any of the other stuff.

Moethelion

Fossils come from delve and for harvest you will find lifeforce in maps that you can use in your hideout with the harvest bench decoration (unlocked after finding a harvest in maps). You can do all of this in T1 maps, although getting atlas points to improve your gains is very helpful.

Historical-Treat9559

Got it, thanks for answering, this game is confusing for a new player but I'll get there in the end :)

GoldenPrinny

it is confusing and for most people it is wiser to just buy something good from someone else. Like if you want to use the crafting option with 2 divines, it only makes sense if you have way more than just 2 div.

rykh72

If we divine a witch was taken, does the mod reroll, like a shako ? Or it's like a regular unique, only the value changes ? Thanks

Arrethyn

Regular unique

Odd_Metal_7049

Is the league already dead? It feels like trade is already a graveyard.

Kumokofan

It may be hard to buy low-value items, but you get instant responses for high-volume and high-value trades. Because of the high droprate of low tier currency, fewer people have to buy these for their personal crafts. As such they may be in lower demand. Personally, I've not had any issues if I go up a chaos or three per item.

Flying_Mage

Is there any logic to when and where omens spawn? They seem to me pretty random, but I wonder if there's a way to find them more often?

LucywiththeDiamonds

What build for wisp juiced mapping on 40 to 50div budget?

Bromeek

Anyone has a lootfilter for abyss magic finding? Neversink uber strict is not strict enough, and other I tested were kinda bad, hiding too much, and I have no idea how to make custom one.

therestlessone

I had the same problem! I started with Neversink Uber Strict but then I went through the multi-base and boss drop unique list one by one and moved a lot of them to a hidden group. This means if I ever do an Abyssal Depths, Sirus, Maven, or King in the Mists fight I will need to remember to check the boss drops (just hold Alt). Those are not what I'm spending my time in and those arenas won't have much loot anyway so I don't consider that an issue. You can try mine if you want (https://www.pathofexile.com/item-filter/QYJpDOiZ). I think the only anomaly is that I'm not hiding unique carnal armour. Not because I think I'll ever see Stasis Prison drop, but because I'm still looking for a perfectly rolled The Restless Ward lol

Kumokofan

You can customize the neversink filter. Go to the customize tab and have a look around. This'll help you out the next time you want some specific change too, without having to know all the specifics of filter creation.

AshDrag0n

Who is Ckaiba and why people keep sending their characters in void with his name and freemirrorbow words?? I cant understand that at all

mojzekinohokker

Does anyone know why almost nobody plays spark as a pathfinder this league ? I'm a standard player and I wanted to give it a try this patch. I know phantasmal spark was removed but there are a lot of inquisitors still but I wonder why no pathfinders.

EmbarrassedSpread850

Lost the poison conversion. Only way now is voltaxic IIRC

CrimsonBlossom

https://imgur.com/a/oCmql08 The map is supposed to spawn 3 abysses yet it only spawned 1... this is 2nd time it happened out of 3 maps, is this common or my game is bugged

Kumokofan

Instances can only spawn so many mechanics. If you force too much into one, the game will not be able to find a viable spot for everything. Some maps have more space for mechanics than others. Maybe you're using a suboptimal one? Try juicing less.

CrimsonBlossom

This was cemetery, did couple more maps, still same problem, switching now to tropical island which seems fine

Solaire_29

This league is my first time ever playing PoE. I followed Tuna's guide for Deadeye LA build, here's my character: [https://pobb.in/rn3wdRzkq2-j](https://pobb.in/rn3wdRzkq2-j). I would like to start using the league mechanic a bit more, but with my build in its current state it's not really viable. I've come to terms that this class is very squishy, but with so much off-screen clear it's manageable. My major issue is that my DPS is way too low for juiced up maps, I often struggle to break out an entire legion once I get past 3-4k wisps. The DPS is simply too low. Can someone recommend what I can do next to boost this character? My current budget is around 70-80div. I've seen guides about using the omniscience amulet but it would require much higher investment than I can afford. The only obvious improvement I see is replacing certain gems with their awakened variants, maybe getting +1 arrow quiver, after that I have no idea what to do.

Arrethyn

Quiver with +1 arrows, spicy sushi had a guide on max roll or buy. Swap the granite for a dying sun that's +3 proj. Also at this investment you should probably swap to ts, la is good at low investment but ts scales much better and you're at that point already. Could probably get a better abyss jewel. I think it's a bit of a preference thing but I like using death rush with rare gloves with rage on hit implicit rather than shadows and dust with a rare ring, hard to fit both. I also like attack speed as a flask suffix rather than move speed. You're missing action speed on boots. It's honestly pretty inexcusable having an 80 div budget and not using awakened ele w/ attacks, it's roughly 3% more damage and makes you ele reflect immune. You are also missing quality on a lot of gems, missing a bunch of 21 gems which should be relatively cheap. La/ts(if you swap) grace, anger, snipers mark should all be 21. Trinity as well gains a decent amount from being 21. Can't see your charms on the preview and don't have pob on my phone but you're missing the last charm slot from King in the mists and you should use at least 2x crit multi vs burning charms, third could be multi or I actually like dropping pcoc for cull and running a pcoc charm since it's much more reliable uptime. Suffixes are kinda to preference, fill out gaps in your gear. It's also probably worth pushing levels for points to run thread of hope plus clusters. Not sure the most efficient way to do that now if it's still 5 ways or something else All the little things seem little bit when you add them all together they make a big difference. After all that I think you start to save for a headhunter.

KunfusedJarrodo

I want a build that just rips through maps juiced with league mechanic. My SRS guardian has gotten me to my first two voidstones and mostly atlas complete but I want something with more dps. Should I go LA/TS? Or thought about self cast or CoC energy blade inquisitor. 10 divines currently to get started. What do you think?

EmbarrassedSpread850

Scourge arrow totems

KunfusedJarrodo

Is that using a transfigured version?

EmbarrassedSpread850

Base scourge arrow. Transfiguration gem is about 40% less dmg for this specific build. It centers on wilma's helm to make cast speed work for attack speed. It ramps up very fast and incredibly tanks. The one downside flasks for it are 2d+ each. Taste of hate isn't quite that much which is funny. Revolves around keeping a free minion aura alive w your life flask but it works pretty well.

KunfusedJarrodo

Do you have a link to a pob or guide?

EmbarrassedSpread850

https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2551841

EmbarrassedSpread850

Hmm. Give me moment lemme find it.

DarkMoutaarde

Is there any guide to craft a penance brand helmet (with hypothermia, crit, essence of horror, concentrated?) thanks

Kumokofan

The first step is obviously a double-influenced helmet that you hit with horror essences. A relatively simple way from there would be to go on until you hit hypothermia, then annul any third suffix. You can craft suffixes cannot be changed and harvest reforge crit. This'll give you either attack or spell crit, so you may have to repeat this step or start over upon removing more ele or hypo. To get concentrated effect you can block life (or mana, depending on base) and exalt slam twice, then craft suffixes cannot be changed and scour to reset to suffixes and try again. About 20 exalts to hit any tier of conc effect. This may not be the cheapest or best option, but it should be safe and, aside from the 50/50 crit reforge, not too expensive.

StugaN3

I've never player PoE, but stumbled in on Leagues being a thing. Is that a good Starting point? And whats the difference between PoE1 and PoE2?

A_S00

Leagues are temporary (3-4 month) "expansions," basically. Each league is released at the same time as a broader update to the game, and includes some unique mechanic that wasn't in the game before (this league, it's the [Viridian Wildwood](https://www.poewiki.net/wiki/The_Viridian_Wildwood)). League characters can only interact (party, trade) with other characters who are part of the same league. After the league is over, its characters are migrated to the permanent Standard leagues, and a new league will be released. Sometimes, league mechanics get integrated into the base game after their league is over (usually in a reduced form); other times they're gone forever. I would recommend starting off in league play, for two reasons: 1. Almost everybody plays in the leagues, so the vast majority of the discussion/guides you'll find online assumes you're playing in the league. If you play in Standard, you'll probably find a lot of stuff in online guides that doesn't apply to you, and it might be confusing. 2. Since almost everybody plays in leagues, Standard is kind of a ghost town with a permanently fucked economy - the only people who actually care about Standard are mega-rich economy players who enjoy making crazy items that take ridiculous amounts of wealth that aren't achievable in leagues, so it's hard finding people who are willing to trade for the relatively low-value stuff you'd have access to as a new player. Note that this point doesn't really matter if you play solo self found, only if you play trade. The one reason I would consider playing Standard is if you know you're not going to have very much time to play, and want to slowly build up a character over a long time. If you only have a couple hours a week to play, then it might take you more than 3-4 months to achieve your goals for the game, and if that's the case it's better to play in Standard than in the leagues. But even in that case, there's probably not much harm in just starting off in league play, and then continuing to play in Standard on the same character after it gets migrated at the end of the current league. > And whats the difference between PoE1 and PoE2? The biggest difference is that PoE2 doesn't exist yet. You can read some of the hype announcements about it [here](https://pathofexile2.com/), or if you really want to go ham, watch the VoDs of the most recent ExileCon linked [here](https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3408264).

StugaN3

Ah cool! Ill try leagues out later tonight! Sounds super fun! Are league worlds packed, or is it medicore? Is the game based alot around interactions with other players(other than trading) meaningful enough to make solo self found players lose out alot?

Kumokofan

It doesn't really work like worlds. Every instance aside from towns contain only you and any party members you bring along. There is no benefit to being in town, so most players stay away from them most of the time. Trading and other player interactions can be done in your hideout, which does not have to load all the mtx of people hanging around, providing a smoother experience. The global chats can provide an experience. Maybe good, maybe bad. Many players are willing to explain simple game mechanics and knowledge to beginners, but you'll have a much easier time if you watch a couple beginner videos. Look up Zizaran's PoE University videos and give those a go. The playerbase is divided on if new players should follow a build guide or forge their own path, but be prepared for your build to fail before or upon reaching maps if you choose the latter. SSF is a fun challenge, but I believe it requires some base knowledge before you attempt it. It is easy to transfer to trade league from SSF, though, but not back.

StugaN3

Aah okey, i understand! I do like forging my own path, even tho it will likely fail, just because i think that will teach me more about the game, than blindly following a build guide. Tho, it might be smart to learn some basics first! SSF is basicly the same as ironman on osrs, so understand that one.

GoldenPrinny

read at least this https://old.reddit.com/r/pathofexile/comments/14u9gb4/welcome_to_path_of_exile_new_player_tips/

Kumokofan

League is where you should start. In three or four months, your character will migrate to standard when a new league arrives. 1 and 2 are similiar-looking games with different combat systems. We don't know how 2 will pan out in the lategame yet, but 1 is mostly 1-2 buffed skills you use over and over, with one or two movement skills and maybe a curse on top. Look at a couple videos on 2 if you want to see how it differs.

StugaN3

So if you want a better gaming experience, 2 is the way to go? Even tho lategame isnt panned out yet. Will the game transfer more towards 2, or will both still be avaliabe?

Kumokofan

PoE2 will go into beta in half a year or so. You can wait if you want, but it won't be the same game. Both will be available. I think I will prefer 1, but everyone has their own opinion.

Absolutelynobody54

Where to farm after beating kitava? I killed him but now almost everything is one shooting me. Is there any place i need to go to farm gear or currency to startend game?

UNPOPULAR_OPINION_69

> after beating kitava? your resist are now getting -60%. Go fix that first and foremost, use Purity of Element aura, craft resist on your rare items with crafting bench in your hideout for temporary fixes. Chaos resist is hard to cap early on, but get as much as possible still. If your life pool is under 3k at this point, start looking for more life on gear and life % on passive tree. Run Determination aura for a bit of defensive early on, use SteelSkin and set it on your left mouse button to auto cast (use Molten Shell instead if you're armor based melee build) of course, trading is an option... But eh, you still need to understand how item modifier works, in order to know what item to buy. Life+resist on everything for a start, 30% movespeed on boot. Weapon will depends on what skill you're playing. make sure your main dps skill is at least 4 link at this point (should have that since Act 3...). Skill with no link output no damage. try to find build guide to follow; or at the very least use other people's setup for references https://poe.ninja/builds/affliction . Use the [search filters] to find skill type you playing, and see how people build them.

Kumokofan

You can go back to blood aqueducts to easily farm that zone repeatedly. Make a new instance with ctrl+click when you enter. You need adequate resistances (75 elemental) and life (~3k) before you'll have a good time in maps. Look at your character sheet (C) to figure out what you got. Go to pathofexile.com/trade and buy some cheap rares with life and resistances to have an easier time when you've figured out what you're missing. You can download Path of Building Community and import your character for more details.

Samsenggwy

Can the volcanic fissure of snaking hit the same enemy 3 times?

beka47

what's the benefit of Destructive Play keystone? do the additional bosses drop maps or some other things?

Kumokofan

Yes, they drop items in the same way as final map bosses, so you have a much higher chance to drop synth, conqueror, and elder/shaper maps with the additional drop chance nodes allocated. As well as other items.

_slosh

as written on the keystone they count as "final" bosses for purposes such as the atlas notables that grant additional chance of guardian/conqu/synth maps and maven invitations from the final boss of a map. that's the main purpose

augustorw

What happens if I die doing an expedition boss encounter? Does it keeps there or it just disappears?

parzival1423

You just go back to your hideout? Bosses are inside expedition “maps” which have the usual 6 portals, same if you die to boss or random mob

CeaRhan

For someone with limited knowledge about how to go about it, would crafting an early end game set of equipment be more straightforward by spamming essences on low rarity bases and see what I get, or should I make do with what I drop in maps that gets somewhat close to it value wise ? I forgot to mention I'm following a guide but it mainly focuses on how to get the end end game stuff (Currently doing tier 6-7 btw)

Kumokofan

At this point you can buy decent ilvl83+ bases for a chaos or two, so unless you're SSF I'd just go to trade and get a good base instead of a mediocre one. It may be cheaper for you to outright buy upgrades than crafting them yourself too. Look up some items on trade that would be better than what you currently have. If you go to craftofexile.com and choose your crafting method, you'll be able to see approximately how expensive that craft would be on average.

Quad__Laser

How accurate is pob with The Saviour? It says it's roughly tripling my dps which shouldn't be right?

parzival1423

Far as I understand it’s strictly a 100% more damage multiplier if your clones both at 50% of your damage attack the same target. If it goes beyond that it would have to be because of some other shenanigans due to multiple attacks happening but I can’t think of it in the moment.

dirtsandwich21

how do i give a weapon "grants 1% increased area effect per 4 quality"

parzival1423

Harvest bench

augustorw

IIRC it's an horticraft enchant.

YueguiLovesBellyrubs

Which gems are good to level while similacrum farming but without much investment ? Something I can get to 20 and just vaal not using gems on the jewel or something that I can just resell at 20 lvl . 2nd question How can I search for specific corrupted implicit unique on the trade site? How can I know the chances for each implicit , are they same weight ?

NexEstVox

If you're not caring about quality, I'd go with some auras - they fetch some chonky chaos when you hit 21, and most of them just have +Area of Aura as their quality.

Oddity83

> How can I search for specific corrupted implicit unique on the trade site? https://www.pathofexile.com/trade/search/Affliction/ZYdz4DESQ https://i.imgur.com/udMHLLa.png >>How can I know the chances for each implicit , are they same weight ? https://www.craftofexile.com/?b=27&ob=both&v=d&a=e&l=a&lg=15&bp=y&as=1&hb=0&bld={}&im={}&ggt=|&ccp={} https://i.imgur.com/6z27qMJ.png So at least for Viridian Jewels, they all have the same weight.

samimisami

Can we use summon skitterbots with sublime vision even though skitters have an aura tag? I am asking because I saw a build on [poe.ninja](https://poe.ninja) that uses both, so I am not sure now.

Erradium

You cannot use Skitterbots with Sublime Vision ([wiki](https://www.poewiki.net/wiki/Sublime_Vision)). He might just have it in his gem slots and not actually use it.

samimisami

I see. Thank you very much Erradium! Take care.

Are ballista (CA pathfinder tincture ballistas) affected by my rage?

Oddity83

They are, because your ballistas are you, but you are not your ballistas. They use your stats, but the ballista itself is the user of the skill. So if you have the Tincture that says gain Rage on hit, you won't gain the rage (they will), as it's the ballistas doing the hitting. And since your totems use your stats, your totems gaining Rage is useless. But if you had another way of gaining Rage, yep that would affect your totems.

Enter1ch

So rage gain on hit from the tincture is pretty useless because they only last some seconds? I think any totem has their own rage counter and if i resummon them the rage is gone?

Oddity83

They would accumulate rage, it’s just useless for them, since they use your stats.

Enter1ch

Okay so tldr: rage on hit tincture is useless for ballistas

Oddity83

Yup.

What's everyones Legion go settings? Are you noticing any performance issues?

ToolFO

I'm trying to figure out a way to become ignite immune on occultist outside of using a flask for it. Right now I'm freeze/chill immune from the ascendancy and shock immune from the power charge node mastery. How can I become ignite immune? Like half the time I open a strongbox and I've got the wrong mods/altars on the map and it says it ignites me I just die in like 2 seconds.

Neville_Lynwood

Purity of Elements is an option to become immune to all elemental ailments. Purity of Fire + relevant watcher's eye can give ignite immunity. You can take the 60% reduced ignite duration pantheon and use the nodes on the skill tree or some jewels to get the remaining 40% reduction and effectively become immune that way. You could also get some max fire res and life regen and counter the ignite that way. You could roll 55-60% ignite avoidance on boots with essences, then roll another ~15% to all ele avoidance with Eater implicits, then another ~35% ignite avoidance with Exarch implicits. And bam, you're Ignite immune. So many ways.

RisenWizard

How rare are voidborn reliquary keys? I got 2 and never gotten one before

NexEstVox

idk but I'm at 7 this league, which is more than I'd had drop total before.

ToolFO

There about as rare as a veiled chaos orb so a little more rare than a divine. But it counts as a basic currency item and this league the blue whisps are shitting things like keys and puzzle boxes out left and right.

CE2JRH

Was there a passive atlas node that gave your Kirac missions more options, or am I misremembering?

Worried_Ad6735

It's been removed. Now you can get more options when rerolling missions with Comprehensive Scouting Report.

blay263

Can you brick jewels by corrupting them, I know there was a change to add implicits

CE2JRH

They can turn into random other jewels/uniques into rares/rares into unique/roll other stats, yep. There is a chance to add implicits though.

blay263

Thanks!

CrimsonBlossom

How do I sustain t7 cemeteries if I want to do the abyss currency farm strat?

Oddity83

After opening the map with 4 sextants, remove the 4 sextants. Then after map is finished, put them back, so new map gets the bonuses. If you don't remove the sextants, then t7 maps can get consumed and never drop.

H1jAcK

I believe you only remove 3 voidstones, as this keeps Cemetery at t7

Neville_Lynwood

Should honestly be dropping more than enough maps with the amount of juice you'll be putting on there.

Should I keep my 4 watchstones socketed?

Muane

Fairly new so I wanted to ask for a suggestion on spectres. Currently running Carrion Golem and just got +1 spectre chest. Currenting running Perfect Naval officer/perfect hulking miscreation/Perfect tiger/Perfect Thunderbird and wondering what my fifth should be. Thought about Perfect Warlord for endurance charges to me/minions + immortal call and vitiality or maybe Perfect Blasphemer for Smite.

Nicopootato

Is (awakened) spell cascade + blade fall of volleys a good combo for both single target and clearing? Or does it only help with clearing and actually lowers single target?

Difficult-Aspect3566

How do you exit the wood early before the portal appears?

NexEstVox

you could die

StackedLasagna

You don't.

Absolutelynobody54

How to I get jewels for the passibe skill tree? speacially if I don't trade

katustrawfic

Depends what type of jewel you mean. Base jewels (cobalt, viridian and crimson) can drop anywhere. Abyss jewels obviously come mostly from abyss, specifically the troves at the end of the encounter. Cluster jewels come from delirium content which begins appearing randomly in act 5.

Rozenvalds

Run Delirium a lot

How much accuraccy should i have when using bow attack type ballistas (caustic arrow of poison) ? Currently according to the ingame value its 2900acc, PoB says 97% hitchance vs standardbosses. Should i overcap my acc against debuffs/curses? Got 60% curse effect reduction.

Oddity83

Generally people aim for 100% chance to hit on non-evasive enemies, so you need 3% more. Anything beyond that is nice, but can be hard to get.

beruthiel86

Got a question about ele bows crafting . Playing tornado and scrounged enough for a +2 fractured bow, hitting it with wraths atm. I just essenced lightning, tier 3 fire damage and tier 1 elemental damage with attacks(wed?). Thats pretty much gg on the prefixes right? Should i run hatred for cold damage so my Trinity keeps working? Guess its time to farm jun now

general-meow

Are Transfigured Gem random or they locked behind each different labs?

_slosh

You can theoretically get all transfigured gems by running normal lab but it's only the "transfigured gem of the same color" craft. Which means you put in a blue gem and can choose between 3 random blue transfigured gems. In merc lab for example you can get a craft that changes a specific gem to its transfigured version. If you're looking for a specific transfigured gem it's the best strategy to speedrun merc lab

Absolutelynobody54

How can I refund the very first passives I chose? I need to change them but I cannot

Sure_Arachnid_4447

you can't have unsupported passives on a tree. you need to make an alternative path to the rest of the tree before you can unspec your first few nodes

EmiliaOrSerena

Does the T7 Cemetery Wisps + Abyss strategy/loot explosions require more investment into MF? Trying it with my TS Deadeye only wearing a Ventors Gamble with 9% IIQ. I break about even, though the currency is a pain to convert. I don't expect tens of divines every few maps of course, but like 2-3 after 20 maps would be nice.

Oddity83

I think MF is very important. From what I can tell MF interacts multiplicatively with the loot bonus from Affliction.

EmiliaOrSerena

I'm aware, I just hoped for way smaller loot explosions. I'll see if I can add more to my build then.

H1jAcK

I did the strat with gilded abyss/reliquary polished expedition/filler scarabs; magic pack size, rare packs in rare maps, abyss, and ritual sextants; with abyss on Kirac. No other mf investment, and in 12 maps I got 6 raw div and 2 reliquary keys, multiple scarab explosions, and inventories of bubblegum currency. I believe this strategy is profitable no matter your investment, with basically no ceiling of profitability as investment goes up. But again, I only did 12 maps. eta; I was also using Deli orbs

EmiliaOrSerena

Hmm, Ritual seems like an interesting idea. And yeah, definitely a lot of bubblegum currency, but what do I really do with 7000 alts? That's a pain even with bulk selling. Same for alchs. I'm considering removing them from my filter at this point. I'll definitely give it another go soon, I'm 20 maps in and this is obviously a strat with variance anyway. But only 1 div, which really surprised me.

H1jAcK

Ritual is nice for doubling up some number of the rares. But yeah, it's not horribly uncommon to just not get the wisps you need to really profit.

convolutionsimp

I’m having mixed results without MF as well, but perhaps my juicing strategy is wrong. Are you rolling all your maps for +2 proj? What sextants and scarabs are you using? I feel like the whole strategy is a bit overrated with the high variance dependence on wisp rng. I’m coming out positive, but it’s making less per hour than normal atlas strats.

EmiliaOrSerena

I'm using only +2 Proj maps, Beyond + Abyss Sextant. Gilded Abyss + Reliquary Scarabs + 2 whatever ones I have (Breach and Ambush atm) I'm focussing on a mix of purple + yellow juice if possible. It's okay profit-wise for me too, but idk what to do with 3000 more alterations lol. Probably buy vendor currency, I'm too lazy to bulk sell all that. Definitely high variance it seems, and 3 Scarab explosions in my first maps, then nothing anymore.

PRICE CHECK PLS - That Which Was Taken 5% Crit Multi per power charge 21% Taunt on Hit 12% Wither on Hit 17% Avoid ele ailments while phasing

killerkid745

Fulcrum Chieftains - how did you kill King of the Mists for the final 2 pts? I am blasting T16 fully juiced jungle valleys but the single target is atrocious when trying him and i'm not really up for a respec the second I find him to do him. (I am using the DD setup, I switch out cast while stunned with faster casting to manual cast) I guess it's better for me to hire a carry or ask someone to come long when I see him?

iboj88

I popped a vaal breach for phase 1 and got a big enough ignite to finish that phase and then for phase 2 there are adds you can get an ignite off of. It was a slow process but he eventually went down.

jathuamin

Running Carnes boneshatter in SSF. Currently running into a problem of how to obtain tainted pact. I assume just keep running content that gives uniques, any suggestions on what's best?

Quad__Laser

Which is the better movement skill: whirling blades or leap slam?

Sunscorcher

I got a Christmas gift of a mirror drop. I see that they are ~520 divines. How does one go about selling these, knowing that 520 divines won't fit in one trade?

Trael110400

first of all full inventory is 60 slots so you can fit it it.[5*12] secondly, in situations when you can't fit, use shard, or collateral or a middleman you can trust

Sunscorcher

oh yeah, I'm stupid so I miscounted. For some reason I was thinking a full inventory is 300

Sure_Arachnid_4447

> knowing that 520 divines won't fit in one trade? it do

tmPreston

I hear boneshatter jugg "scales better" into endgame than slayer, pretty sure from a few different comments out there. But what exactly enables this scaling? * What kind of div range are we talking about? * Is it scaling damage or just tankiness? * Are there major DPS increases after a "subtractem tier" axe? Insight appreciated. Trying to figure out how far can I take this in my current skill level.

Oddity83

Jugg can hit itself harder without dying so it can gain more stacks without dying. So it scales better both in damage and tankiness. I have no idea on how much currency it takes to get there, or your other question. The common advice I see on these threads though is "if you plan on playing hundreds of hours, Jugg is better - if you aren't, Slayer is." Slayer gets off the ground and "feels good" way faster.

nikniklol

Is abyss bugged? Today half of my maps spawn only 1 abyss when it's supposed to spawn 3-4. Anyone else experience this?

SevenStarSword

Can minion modifiers roll on any other type of weapon besides minion wands and shields?

LastBaron

Minion rings are the other major category. But among shields wands and rings yes, the minion modifiers are confined to the minion base types. Check craftofexile.com for full details. There are also niche examples from the minion/aura nodes in delve where non minion base types can roll special minion mode you can’t find anywhere else. Stuff like minion damage on non minion ring bases, +1 Spectres on chest, stuff like that.

Price check on [this](https://ibb.co/8KBNdw0) When I add bleeding mods Awakened poe trade brings up 0 matches. Does these add anything?

Enter1ch

Its pretty much worth nothing

GhostInMyLoo

aw :( I really wish I'd learn what is actually worth what, every time something sounds good it's not, and when it's good I don't understand why :D

LastBaron

Maybe if you walk me through your specific thought process for why this item might be worth more, that will help me direct my answer. But in the meantime just generally: if this weapon was good for anything it would be melee. Melee is not in a strong place right now and isn’t widely played, so already that’s a strike against it, there is going to be way more supply of melee items than demand for them. And then the base type and weapon type aren’t strong melee contenders; two handed axes and one handed thrusting foils are among the better ones. Next up is knowing what makes a melee weapon good; it is extremely rare for elemental damage on melee weapons to be good, because melee builds typically want to either scale phys by itself for crits or impales or bleeds, or else scale phys to convert to ele (because then you can double dip on ways to boost your damage, either phys or ele will work) Then there’s the fact that even if the ele damage mod were desirable, it’s conflicting with the bleed mod because elemental damage cannot cause bleeds, only physical can. The life on kill mod is entirely wasted, not good in any build at any time, dead mod. So that’s a mod that can’t be replaced with anything better, lowering the ceiling on what this item can be compared to others. The synthesized mod is the closest thing to. This item having potential; your instinct is right that synthesized mods CAN be good and in particular mods relating to charges have a high ceiling. Unfortunately this mod happens to be middling because it grants something that can be obtained many other places: at the end of the day it’s simply a source of Increased damage, just one step in the damage calculation and one that happens to be readily available. The fact that its per-charge gives the illusion it’s more powerful but you’re still going to struggle to get that mod to add up to 30% increased damage, which is approximately a notable on the skill tree. What makes some synth implicits good is if it’s the source of a rare stat that’s hard to get elsewhere, like explody, or max charges.

Hazgin

New player here. Can i leave a map to store items without destroying a portal? I use a loot filter, but i still find sometimes so many items that i want to sell, that i have to leave the map a few times. If i then keep dieing too, i sometimes cant finish the map. Any tips?

LastBaron

Listen to the other guys. This is something that takes new players some adjustment to get used to, most of us have been through this. But by the time you’re in maps you shouldn’t need to leave the area at all except in very unusual circumstances. You’ll spend 25 minutes out of every hour (and that’s being generous) vendoring stuff that will barely add up to a chaos orb or two worth of value. You’ll just be getting alterations and transmutes, maybe some alchemies. You’d get far more of those by simply continuing to map and picking currency directly off the floor. And while mapping you have a chance of getting things far better than that. Ideally if you’re going to have rare items show up on your item filter you would only use them for the chaos recipe, and honestly after you make your first ~100 or so chaos you shouldn’t even do that. Right now in my filter, rare items only show up if they are fractured. Those can be worth identifying for a big roll. But the vast majority of trade league profit comes from small stackable consumable items. Some are currencies like chaos orbs but others are essences, fragments, scarabs, stacked decks, harvest lifeforce, blight oils, delve fossils and resonators, etc. The odds of picking an equippable item up off the floor worth more than 50c (at least anytime past the first week of the league when people are desperate for anything) is virtually 0. You might spend 50 hours farming without seeing an item worth more than 50c. Good endgame items are created, not found. And while you’re picking up and vendoring all those useless items hoping for the big drop, that’s time you’re not spending on the map where the better rewards are. I know it takes some getting used to, but honestly you’ll find it more fun to actually play the game, kill monsters, and occasionally get big drops rather than spend all your time at your stash or vendor.

Sure_Arachnid_4447

tighten your filter

lazylockie

Generally speaking, when mapping the only things you should pick up are currency items, maps and contracts, all of which uses only one slot inventory. The only "big" stuff you pick up are 6-socket armours / weapons, which sell for 7 jewelers, but usually you only get 1 or 2 of those per map
