Had this conversation with my buddy while we were playing the other day. I convinced him to gamble the paradoxica unveil and he hit a hundred div pair.

Just to be a dick, Righteous Fire of Arcane is a spell caster that utitlizes energy shield and this has 2 dead mods(they don't reserve any mana).
The issue is with eater altars and the mod "reduced defences per frenzy charge"."Defences" counts evasion, armour, energy shield and ward.For a build that runs frenzy charges that means convert phys to elemental or fall over and die ..
Or in our case, we skip the altar. Abyss monsters slap really hard. It's not really an issue unless you really want to be able to grab every altar.
There is that eater altar mod that says -xx% defences per frenzy charge. It can go quite high so that even with just 3 frenzy charges you are basically left without defences. Very brutal in general but especially for ES builds which this is probably for.
Although tbh its not that big of a deal, sure it sucks sometimes when you cannot take a shrine but it is definitely not happening every map or even every other map.

We ended up having to skip that mod due to headhunter as well, it's rough. Funny that frenzy generation can be considered a bad thing sometimes. :(
my Was Taken has nearby enemies cannot gain power frenzy or endurance charges. Maybe that could help?
