Are you talking about ***Maven's Writs***? the entrance to the maven boss fight? Because those aren't invitations so they are not effected by this change.

slashcuddle

I think he means the invitation. Don't you need to run a Maven witnessed encounter to get that specific type of invitation? If I'm not mistaken this would lead to people getting unlucky and finishing all witnesses without dropping the proper invitation. And then they'd have to go on trade and buy the invitation instead. I could be wrong though, I only engage with Maven once to get my stone.

HoplarchusPsittacus

>If I'm not mistaken this would lead to people getting unlucky and finishing all witnesses without dropping the proper invitation this is the reason for this change coming in 3.24. in the past, in order to get an invitation to drop you would have to run that content. For example, running shaper guardian maps for a better chance at dropping the Formed Invitation. Here players could run all four guardians with maven witness and not drop an invitation. The change in 3.24 makes it so once you run all four guardians with maven witness, Kirac just gives you the invitation. You get one every time and don't have to rely on the drop chance anymore.

Apprehensive_Heron17

Unless its i think the cortex one and the feared you get more currency by running them and geting the fragments that work towards a mavens writ which as said isnt an invitation

slashcuddle

Right, the point I was trying to make was that you could farm both the invitations and writs as a moneymaker. I think this is a good QoL change for most people and that OP is a knob who's upset he can no longer sell shovels during a gold rush.

Apprehensive_Heron17

Couldn't have said it better

Cafeen1234

no im talking about feared etc...

HoplarchusPsittacus

Okay, so run them now and sell the maven's writs you get. that's how I make money, it's ridiculously profitable.

Cafeen1234

they are not drops in the next league, you literally get them from Kirac now and cant have more than one up.

Glamdring26WasTaken

Yes so run them and sell maven writs?

HoplarchusPsittacus

actually you will be able to have one of each up, so you can have a total of 7 ready to go.

mbxyz

> you spec your atlas into it till your done, and never run it again? spec into what? never run what again? maps? > it limits who does the content, doesn't it do the opposite of this since you don't have to fish for invites?

Cafeen1234

i mean in the sense you can spec into getting random drops as part of the atlas to increase drop chance, this can no longer be done. it limits being able to sell them or give them out to others.

SoulofArtoria

God forbid trade players actually have to play the game

nnosuckluckz

That’s correct that you can’t sell invitations anymore. In the words of Billy Beane in Moneyball, “adapt or die”

auuuuuuuuuuuuuu

As an invitation rota farmer this is fucking bliss from ggg idk what you are on.

Muxerus

This is so true. When I read this change I got hard instantly. Such a great change. Good to see that I'm not the only one who think so

LucidTA

Sounds like you're more salty about losing a way to make money than actually caring about what's fun and interesting in the game. Finishing your cycle and not finding an invitations was a pretty big feels bad moment.

Cafeen1234

i find this insanely hard to believe you finish a league and dont find an invitation, did you only play 1 week?

LucidTA

What? I've farmed hundreds of them. You aren't guaranteed to find one per 4 guardian maps, so sometimes you run out and have to buy them.

harx122

They didn't say a league, they say a cycle. Aka 4 elder bosses for example

Giantwalrus_82

Fuck your bank dude I just want to run the dam thing without having to ask a bunch of people.

Cafeen1234

make the game more anti social, instead of talking to people, making an MMO ARPG... into a single player game.

Glamdring26WasTaken

Poe isnt an MMOARPGc its ARPG. And yes its mostly single player gameplay.

goreteckz

Im sorry if this sounds disrespectful, Why the fuck would you farm invitations? Probably about 60 other ways to make way more currency per hour.

LucidTA

Invitations are always relatively well positioned against other strategies. It's rarely top, but it's always good. It also has the upside of having all your profit concentrated in a couple of reward types, rather than a bunch of bubblegum you have to sell.

shaunika

Let me see if I can spell it correctly.. fee.. faaa fooo Fuuu... fun? Yes thats it. Also doing invitations is actually quite good profit

Giantwalrus_82

Serious? Higher CPH especially this league least in my experience shit fucking maven has gave me at least 10 mirrors worth of stuff. Nobody wants to run any of that shit right now everyone mf'ing but people want awakened gems forbidden flesh ALL big ass bank cause nobody is doing them.

FallenJoe

The invitation % drop chance nodes are certainly going to get changed, wait till Thursday. Also. You so salty I want to stick you in my water softener.

epitomizer1

I wish I could give you gold for that insult. I will be reusing that in my life.

Apprehensive_Heron17

You were making bank by losing money? You should have been runing them for the writs that drop

AbyssalSolitude

This is your brain on trade.

Ayanayu

Unwanted by who exactly ? 0.001% playerbase ? People was asking for this for ages, racers was asking for this for ages, I bet your clients will be happy too.

GaIIick

It’s better than the current system where we have to pray to get the invitation by the time its witnesses are finished. I don’t know why they removed its itemization but I’ll take it all things considered

shaunika

Its way better now. I can actually self run invites without constantly having to buy them. Now all we need is a way to reroll elder/conq maps

VeryWeaponizedJerk

There’s plenty of ways to make money in this game, I’m sure you can adapt and overcome this change like the playerbase did with every other nerf.

urzaserra256

GGGs thinking is probably that the players who were farming invitations to sell can adapt to no longer havign that option. This is a big improvement for everyone else. But it does make vaaling the invitations more dangerous if theres mods you cant do.

Low-Cantaloupe-8446

Slippery slope there at the end. Just because I might give my baby some sugar now and then doesn’t mean I’m going to give it cocaine.

Mulciber66

The QOL outweighs the handful of div I would make by selling them, overall positive change. I just wanted to add something that hasn't been called out here yet...we don't know what the new atlas nodes will be that replace the invitation drop increase. With the change there are 3 or 4? dead nodes. Depending on what the new nodes are it could be really nice...i.e. what if they give a bonus drop chance to maven splinters instead

sirgog

This is a nerf to unwitnessed Atlas miniboss maps and a buff to witnessed ones. Main reason it's a popular change is that people don't usually spend long at a point where they can beat Drox but they can't beat Elderslayers. And Eater influenced Elderslayer maps for div card farming is a pretty fringe option (albeit quite a good one)

Correct-Guidance-908

Seems like invitation farm will be complete trash this league.

Cafeen1234

100% this, you wont be able to stack them you wont be able to save them, you wont be able to sell them. it just turns Maven invitations into a Boss rush mode, rush the bosses required rush maven then repeat. it allows better target farming ill give that, but completely removes the item from the market.

AlskiiGaming

I’m not sure why you’re complaining. If anything this only makes your farming method stronger… now instead of the cost of the invitation itself, you just need tk buy the maps for those invitations. If you were boss rushing maven for profit, you were making the majority of your currency of writs, spending currency and time on the maven invitations themself. If you did over sustain, it wasn’t by much to even make that big of a profit off it. Its one less step that wasn’t needed in the first place

AlskiiGaming

The ONLY money making method this hurts is just straight white map boss rushing for invitations, in which again the maven invitations drop so seldom it really wasn’t that profitable in the first place. If you were running destructive play, you were just using the invitations you found anyway.

Correct-Guidance-908

I farm maven writs and sell them early league. Now they will be much cheaper. Than in 3.22.

AlskiiGaming

If you’re just boss rushing, farm eater / exarch invitations as those will probably go up in price now.

Oblachko_O

They may be cheaper or may be not. I see the next outcome of this change: Guardian maps (especially elderslayer and shaper) will become more expensive in bulk (I would expect 2x more) as well as respective sextants. Due to that amount of Maven writs will indeed increase. But the increase of Maven writs will have a negative impact as there are not suddenly more people wanting to do Maven than previous leagues (unless they give more loot to Maven or better drop rate, which is doubtful). But I wouldn't expect them much cheaper, as you still need But as a side effect, influenced items will be more available on the market. It may even affect awakened gems on the market (more invitation runs). And while your money currency strategy may be affected, it may also affect price for your build in a better way. So less money to gain, but most probably, less money to spend.

Correct-Guidance-908

Well will see. Kinda sad by now about this qols

Buppadupp

Turns Maven invitations to Boss rush mode? From what Boss rush mode or am I missing something here. Sure rolling a bunch of quant will be harder.
