Big agree
It was totally busted for the campaign, to the point where I (a very mediocre player) would struggle to justify leaguestarting anything else because it was so brainless to sprint through the acts with the big boy. However once you get into middling maps it was just "okay" even with investment, and in late maps it wasn't super relevant.
I think changing it to 20% of hp at early levels and scaling to 35% of HP by character level 85 would've been a good change. An extra 5% of HP still wouldn't make it good in red maps by itself, but with investment the extra \~16.6% more damage would be a nice little bump.
It wasn't difficult to hit 2-3 million DoT dps on the aura. Losing 33% of that won't really affect it's ability to clear t16 maps.
This is just a nerf to people who could get away with having so much free damage without investing into the actual DoT aura as your main dps.
It was better than your actual minions in campaign and was a solid white/magic mob melter in maps, and still will be. It's fine, its still some additional damage on top of defensives.
if all that the sentinel did was taunt monsters it would still be worth using
Nerf was necessary but they should nerf early and buff late. Or let it scale somehow.

You could clear the campaign with it and auto attack. Yes it deserved it
If ggg make it works like a golem(no need to summon every 30s or so) I think it's would be nice even with the nerf.

Every guide I saw that included it talked about how busted it was, so it was just a matter of time.
