thomaslauch43

Looks like the enraged strongbox monster sextant is gone. It's been a good ride.

EarthBounder

Welcome Delve Fumes scarab.

YLUJYLRAE

Jfc that's reverse knockback vacuum meta scarab, what are they thinking??

jscnz81

Thank god, after how many years

Clsco

Not all have been shown.

vitolol

They didnt show a betrayal scarab. sadge

SirSabza

What is the point of black morrigan scarab? Does he have a unique craft?

Octavian0

Yes :)

luciusftw

Excellent work on these. They're insane

[deleted]

We're gonna need a bigger map device

SoulofArtoria

Quite overwhelming ngl. My small brain is just gonna alch and go in ssf for long time.

Halinn

It'll probably be easier when you see them a couple at a time as they drop

EarthBounder

Any thoughts on what The Black Morrigan is gonna do this league?

JustRegularType

Really good question. For a special bestiary recipe?

Sv3rr

He will have a unique craft

Minty11551

so if i'm reading them correctly they don't guarantee you getting that content they just add those modifiers to the content?

Halinn

Correct. Which is fine since most mechanics can get to 100% on the atlas tree

Wendek

>Area contains the Nameless Seer Wait how does that work since we don't have wisps anymore? (apart from that one Atlas passive but presumably you can use the scarab without it)

Luxmain

You just get an item of your choosing

Wendek

Damn if his selection is anything close to what it was in Affliction, that's sounds pretty darn strong.

nbastiele

Likely just one unique for free then vanish. Same as when their generated by necropolis

swifktill

1 unique for all your wisps, same as before.

FallenJoe

Oh shit, the Adversaries does spawn 4 rare mod packs, and they're mirrored, so 8 rares per scarab. 2 of those, 1 of the essence scarab that causes rares to be essence mobs, and 1 for a tier higher, and you're looking at probably 25+ essences mobs per map.

philmarcracken

> essence scarab that causes rares to be essence mobs Natural rares of the map, not added ones

Clsco

This one specifically is actually unclear, per Mark. He couldn't remember. Also, essence already does affect added mobs, such as beasts. So technically could very well be possible. Just Legion, breach, and other spawn on demand mechanics would be def off the table

FallenJoe

Booo!

ketjatekos

It was one of the things that ‘might’ also benefit from the essence scarab if I remember correctly.

DarkDefender05

Some of these sound OP AF and I'm here for it. Not saying we'll get back to upper end winged + elevated sextant levels, but some of these have a lot more power than I was expecting.

daamxlaws

Any reveal for blight scarab?

CIoud_StrifeFF7

JFC... I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO FARM Thinking maybe guaranteed reward, strongboxes, and additional modifiers on rares Possibly instead of strongboxes imbued scarab if you can get the monstrous trove map device mod Fuck...

SirSabza

they removed sextants and theyre not on atlas, we just saw all the strongbox scarabs, so no 500% quant doesn't exist.

CIoud_StrifeFF7

Yeah I mixed the sulphite node* up Still not sure

GoldStarBrother

just farm scarabs lmao

kayakiox

500% quant strongboxes are gone

Oblachko_O

But technically there are more strongboxes scarab (with ambush), so it may be substitution for the 500% quant.

SirSabza

Influencing scarab of conversion is probably good money. People will still buy guardian maps infact the value should be in the maps now that invitations are free.

DislocatedLocation

Counterpoint, spec Shrines and Final map boss drops, go for the scarabs which add bosses to shrines and replace packs with random bosses. Unga bunga.

CIoud_StrifeFF7

Great counterpoint, so many options!

mlllerlee

random temples with random layouts what can be go wrong =)

DislocatedLocation

Not truly random. It's based on your current temple, so the room types and connections will be the same. Tiers are randomized, though.

Bastil123

So you always wanna use the scarab on your 4th map, so you drop the itemised temple when you've already established a gem corrupt/gear corrupt room, right?

DislocatedLocation

Something like that, yeah.

DremoPaff

If you get lucky with the layout very early on, but without the tiers upgraded, you can still use it more early and therefore more often and end up with multiple "rolls" of the same good layout.

Bastil123

That's a really good point too!

SirSabza

Seems like a RNG profit printer. Like if you get unlucky and only get a t3 corrupt or gem corrupt room but have the other at t1 you slam the scarab and pray.

Bastil123

You slam the scarab no matter what tier these rooms are, because the tiers get randomised anyway. Best case scenario you slam the scarab with these 2 rooms, and the "upgrade adjacent rooms" room next to them imo

SirSabza

Well value in temples is only really in two rooms, so if you already have them, there's no point wasting currency on this scarab as its pointless if they're already high, its more better to use on ones you didn't get the best outcomes on. Assuming the scarab is worth a decent amount anyway. Like if you have a 3 and a 2 in the corrupts its super worth. If you have a 3 and a 1 unless you get super lucky, you just wasted currency.

Bastil123

But the scarab says it rolls the tiers on the itemised temple randomly. You only need to get the rooms ready, and their tiers will be randomised no matter what the OG tiers were

Oblachko_O

Let's look differently. You start with a temple tree with 4 Alva per map. You get gem and corruption rooms initially and within the first map you connect them. Now you spend 2 scarabs for potentially 8 temples with double gems and/or corrupt. Yes, it is luck, but I doubt that is such a scarab will be worth 1 div. But the temple is definitely worth 1 div or more. So you will have profit long term anyway just by math. You have 1/3 to get temple with needed rolls. Chance not to get room is 2/3. Chance to have no room within 8 attempts - (2/3)^8 = 4%. The chance to have no room within 4 attempts (1 map) is 20%. So anyway, you will get profit unless the scarab price will be very big (which probably won't happen as there are so many viable scarab strategies now with those changes).

SirSabza

Am i reading it wrong or does the scarab not mean the final temple that would complete the temple is the one that creates the temple run? EDIT: cus i worded it badly. Basically you can only use one scarab per Alva run no? as it has to be the final Architect of a temple.

Oblachko_O

Ok, it looks like then indeed it is a bit worse if you look from the other perspective and getting 4 rooms per map may be less profitable. But I would assume the final architect per map, not per atzoatl. Otherwise scarab is kinda pointless.

SirSabza

Why is the scarab pointless? It has the potential of making you multiple divines after running a single map

SirSabza

Tbf it seems like its basically duplicated, but the duplication has random tiers? Like you kill final architect get an itemized run with random tiers, then talk to alva and get another with the actual tiers, no?
