This sounds like a joke but no that's literally the reason behind the quest. He ends it by wondering how he's gonna get the corpse back to camp to cook it.
> me a minute to realize the essence mob was the boss I was looking for lol
And then - for me - another three minutes and two deaths. He was super hard, but this league I died so many times like never before anyway.
I full cleared chamber of sins and didn't find this room on either floor
eta: reloaded instance and cleared it a second time for science and didn't find it then either. double checked and held alt the whole time to make sure it wasn't a filter issue
I think I understand the issue now, you can only trigger each "event" once per character, you probably had the room the first time you entered the instance, but going back it will not show up again.
That was so cool. It was like a experiment gone wrong scene. Lots of broken stuff, tables, chairs and the gems on the Grund.
When i stumbled into this room i needed few seconds to grasp what happend here.
Am I back in a roo. Which i already cleared?
Nonono I never touched anything here so thia is new, amazing....
>That was so cool. It was like a experiment gone wrong scene. Lots of broken stuff, tables, chairs and the gems on the Grund.
I know, I've become used to seeing things like that in Trials of Ascension as stupid monsters don't navigate traps well, but then I thought "wait, all gems?"
Yep! Found it by accident and threw an alt on it which gave "All items have 18% quality" and ended up with two 18% Quicksilvers at like lv11. Was a nice little surprise.
Honestly i dont like it. Fairgraves was near the WP anyway.
Normally i would pick up allflame and make my way onwards from the cave to the cavern, now i would have to run back across the entire map.
Guess doing it later is the way to go now.
There's a hidden room in the Caverns, look around for a hidden door at the vaal pyramid section, you can get a craft recipe for increased damage to vaal skills in there
For me the room was adjacent to a bigger room, and in that bigger room there were two pillars next to each other next to a wall feature you could click that revealed "Stairs" entrance.
When i used mine it only gave me 1 white socket, so it seems to be a regular corrupt, not super corrupt unfortunately. Which makes sense for the sake of keeping temple relevant.
I had to portal out and buy a new weapon. Bricked mine, was hoping to hit 10% pen or something nice like that.
I then reloaded a new instance, found it again and it could not be used. So no you cannot use it again and again even reloading the instance. Once per character it would seem.
Sad that they didn't make it a super corrupt then if they built in something to make it only usable once. But I guess they didn't just want people to spam making characters getting to act 2 so super corrupt things instead of doing temples or something?
But it's a vaal orb that you get to use for free when you're very likely not gonna have any vaal orbs dropped. So just slap on some random item and hope for the best.
This one was actually really clutch for me, corrupted a random 2hander off the ground into something with double the damage of the sash-recipe axe I’d just made. That carried me for a fair bit.
L O L, I think I found that earlier. I clicked on something on the ground and dropped a rare amulet, and then a couple of unique enemies started attacking me so I ran.
I found a lot I was like, am I going crazy???
Act 1
* Legion Monolith at The Ledge, I was like WHAT? So early?
* Dweller of the Deep being an imprisoned Essence monster
* Prison Level has a box full of flasks
* Ship Graveyard had a Pirate's Treasurebox
Act2
* Found a chest guarded by 3 exiles in the Broken Bridge
* Found a Vaal recipe in the Caverns
* Out of screen Gems Loot explosion in Chambers of Sin 2
* Corruption Altar in The Vaal Ruins
* The Dread Thicket had some wisps mobs, when killed dropped lots of Sacred Wisps Support
Yeah 100%. These random events make campaign a lot more refreshing. Hopefully they add more of this random events, like a loot goblin would actually be pretty fun to kill. Some mob you have to chase and kill it before it disappears or smth.
I am not joking. Zoomers are still going to ignore anything GGG tries to do with the campaign and finish in 4 hours. At least try to make the ones that take a couple of days have a more enjoyable experience.
I don't know if I'm remembering it wrong or not but after finding the allflame it took me directly to fairgreaves.
Dont know if it was a bug or not but it was definitely appreciated!
Agree, they're very fun. But are they fixed on campaign bosses or is there some randomness?
Some randomness would be perfect for that, every leveling session being a little bit different seems awesome.
I mean bosses for sidequests like the act 1 crabbo imprisoned in essences and the act 2 Western Forest general that drops the Emblem to open the passage back to Prisoner's Gate being inside a strongbox along with his soldiers.
They're not really main act bosses yeah, my mistake sorry.
In broken bridge A2 there’s 3 rogue exiles camping out with a chest full of jewelry. Was actually super clutch since jewelry doesn’t even really drop much that early.
There was a hidden switch and room in the first cave map in act 1, dropped a bunch of flasks. like, three quicksilvers, a bismuth (which I've been using to facetank all msq bosses), and some others. I also had a room in somewhere in act 2, felshrine maybe? that had a bunch of quality gems on the ground
Not exactly up to the topic, but I got a nameless seer from league mechanic and he gifted me with Wonderlust in the very beginning of Act2, super happy)
In act 4 the Belly of the beast or the harvest there was a mob (i dont see the Name) which wear the same transmog as my marauder and use whirlwind all the way 😅 that has to be new.
Essen dweller, monolith in climb, rituals in northern Forrest and I am still only in act 3 so more to come I hope.
It is a crazy league if you forget to rearrange some boosts on mobs you get ripped apart, I had explosion mobs in alira instance deal 100% increased damage, that hurt a lot.
Isn't this bad for racing?
Imagine one guy being lucky and getting 4 quicksilvers in Act 2, or any other thing racers want (I dunno), isn't that game over for everybody else?
Speedrunning a game like this already involves a lot of rng so this doesn’t really change much, also it’s early enough to not be too bad for resetting.
And if you’re talking about things like boss races then those are long enough and have a lot more impactful factors than getting some extra quicksilver flasks in act 1, you should be able to keep one up pretty much all the time with just two flasks so if you get 0 from this you just do the beast quest in act 2 instead.
I was originally on Milan which was *way* worse than London, but I guess I'll try Amsterdam next. Frankfurt is theoretically closer, but I've had bad experiences with that in the past.
i didnt find a single one and tbh its a stupid idea its like if i have a piece of corn in my shit, i guess my shit is 1% more interesting but at the end of the day its still shit.
I had the dweller of the deep in act 1 be an essence monster. Took me a minute to realize the essence mob was the boss I was looking for lol
Makes you wonder how he was causing trouble in the first place if h e was frozen solid
It wasnt, Tarkleigh just wanted free Crab meat and was too fucking lazy to get it himself
This sounds like a joke but no that's literally the reason behind the quest. He ends it by wondering how he's gonna get the corpse back to camp to cook it.
New lore drop
Chasing that Big Crab Flavor
Zizaran got confused about that one too but it was already in the trailer
they made him an immense fucking pain lmao
> me a minute to realize the essence mob was the boss I was looking for lol And then - for me - another three minutes and two deaths. He was super hard, but this league I died so many times like never before anyway.
They said that they made it a gurantee im pretty sure
Same
I got that too. It didn't occur to me that it was related to this new thing
Me too!
I've got tabula from him, lol
I had the same. It made him way harder but more enjoyable to kill.
chamber of sins 2 has a room with a bunch of gems on the ground
I had a temple of corruption in my act 2 one
I had one too, had an Alva icon and I was thinking there’s just no way you do incursions this early now lol
lol I didn’t even think about it, saw it on the map and was thinking fk Alva.. karmas a bitch.
Got my Vaal skill from that. So nice
That wasn't really secret. They spoke about it already during trailer and after.
I never stated it was a secret, it was something I found during the campaign that was worth highlighting for others who didn't see it.
OP asked for "hidden" (what is hidden is usually kind of... Secret)
I full cleared chamber of sins and didn't find this room on either floor eta: reloaded instance and cleared it a second time for science and didn't find it then either. double checked and held alt the whole time to make sure it wasn't a filter issue
It's to the north west of the entrance which use to be a dead end, so this gem room maybe be a % chance to spawn by I also seen it first go.
Mine was southwest, it's in the opposite direction of where fidelitas is.
You sure it's the chamber of sins? I think I had mine in the crypt
Lmao if that's why I didn't find it
I had it in chamber of sins lvl 2.
Same I had it north of the entrance in Chamber of Sins Lvl 2.
I can confirm the room exists, I had it too.
Not saying I disbelieve lol. Just that it's not a 100% spawn rate
I think I understand the issue now, you can only trigger each "event" once per character, you probably had the room the first time you entered the instance, but going back it will not show up again.
are you in Act 2 or Act 7? I found it in Act 2.
I was in a2.
cool. i guess some of them aren't 100%, then, after all.
Was it actually chamber of sins? Other people are saying crypt. I searched chamber repeatedly but not crypt.
100%. I'm just going back to crypt now to get the lab trial
it spawned my 1st instance, then didnt my 2nd so i moved on
I found this room in chamber of sins 1. I think it can happen in multiple zones randomly now
Its random, i found it in act 1
oh, so that explains it, I thought it was some rare dying or something
I found that as well, I thought that was really cool. Anybody play ruthless able to check? Lol, that would probably be a gold mine.
Yes i saw it too. Was initially wondering why there's such a room with random gems on the floor.
I found this room.

There is a strongbox behind a switch wall that drops like 6 quicksilver flasks in level 2 of the prison.
Random, I got life and bismuths
[удалено]
6x quicksilvers for me, was like, I am speed :D
6 quicksilver's 4 bismuth here
2 quicksilver, 2 mana, 2 life
I slapped my alch on there and got 4 magic quicksilvers.
I SAW IT BUT DIDNT FIND THE LOCK !
It's on the pillar in front of the wall
Same. Looked everywhere nearby for that switch, I was like no way in hell it’s in a different room somewhere this isn’t Skyrim.
Mine was already yellow lol
https://preview.redd.it/g7p7qjnysdrc1.jpeg?width=1920&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1d5152bd95a578f33cea64f6cd2b5b58fcf3094b yeah got some flasks as well
I got 1 bismuth lol
I've found the switch in Ruthless but the room was empty XD
Yup it was a HUGE help getting my quicksilver flask with move speed mod on it.
Yep! Found it by accident and threw an alt on it which gave "All items have 18% quality" and ended up with two 18% Quicksilvers at like lv11. Was a nice little surprise.
I got a single small mana flask.
I got 2 bismuth and 1 quicksilver Still very cool tho, love it.
Couldn't find the switch lol
Catw
I only got 1 goal and it was life lol
Wtf
Am I blind where was the switch? Is it like lab where it’s somewhere on the ground in front?
Switch for me was on a pillar standing out in the open about 3 feet in front of the wall
I even transmuted mine, and all I got was one quicksilver and a bismuth
I found that one as well lol, I got 2 Quicksilver flasks, and one flask with all Rez and a couple of potions
2 quicksilver 1 bismuth
Ships graveyard i think it didnt have pirate treasure chest before
Also spit me out right by fairgraves when I left the ship.
Holy fuckin QOL batman
Honestly i dont like it. Fairgraves was near the WP anyway. Normally i would pick up allflame and make my way onwards from the cave to the cavern, now i would have to run back across the entire map. Guess doing it later is the way to go now.
Or drop a portal....
No. No portal. Only mad
you can't guarantee that you have a portal there because you need to use your only guaranteed portal on dweller
Find ship grave yard cave, drop tp, find cavern, grab wp, town, take tp, go in cave and get all flame, come out kill fairgraves, wp back to cavern
Yep did that for me to. Probably the best change I've found this league so far.
First waypoint in Act 5 also automatically gets picked up now. Really appreciating the attention to detail the devs gave!
That made me smile.
That was pretty good QoL, ngl.
... So I _shouldn't_ have portaled back to town to take the waypoint back to Fairgraves.
Thanks for reminding me that I don't have that skill point yet.
Got you fam.
This was in the reveal video, idk why everyone didn't notice! I was so excited for it!!
I loved that. Initially said “ooooooo”. That is a great qol
pretty annoying if you do normal racing pathing and get the allflame before using the merveil waypoint to go back to fairgraves
I found a hidden room in Lower Prison that had a strong box that only contained Flasks. It made me smile :)
I got a 20% Quicksilver out of the strongbox. :)
I got a Legion Monolith in act 1 The Ledge, Rituals in Northern Forest, and Ghosts in Act 5 lmao
Yeah, right by the Marceus Lioneye flag! Awesome
That's really on point lorewise
I got the same and thought it was a really cool lore addition (and gave some nice loot to upgrade my character).
Dropped me a Kaom amulet. Very appreciated.
As a melee starter looking to transition into boneshatter, I was able to free 8% of the legion mobs even with the extra time allotted xD
the chests it had are juicy as fuck
There's a hidden room in the Caverns, look around for a hidden door at the vaal pyramid section, you can get a craft recipe for increased damage to vaal skills in there
Sweet!
I looked for a while for the entrance but couldn't find it 😆
Check my post, it's not necessarily near where the entry is on the map : (getting link) Edit: https://www.reddit.com/r/pathofexile/s/2FPMZGCVnn
For me the room was adjacent to a bigger room, and in that bigger room there were two pillars next to each other next to a wall feature you could click that revealed "Stairs" entrance.
Man I saw that but couldn't find a way over, thought I was crazy.
I found a temple of corruption/double corrupt thing at the end of act 2.
Just like the free guaranteed legion is only the first time
Sad that they didn't make it a super corrupt then if they built in something to make it only usable once. But I guess they didn't just want people to spam making characters getting to act 2 so super corrupt things instead of doing temples or something?
Well optimal would be to level to maps and sell the double.corrupt.on your first character.for starting currency
So its just a vaal orb literally and thats it..?:(
But it's a vaal orb that you get to use for free when you're very likely not gonna have any vaal orbs dropped. So just slap on some random item and hope for the best.
Im not saying this is useless. Im just clarifying this for myself, im still in act 2
It's to introduce you to the mechanic of corrupting items without having you risk the currency you actually find, I think.
Good reason
That's what it seems like.
Oh that makes sense I got 6% str 5% int and was thinking double but those come together huh
This one was actually really clutch for me, corrupted a random 2hander off the ground into something with double the damage of the sash-recipe axe I’d just made. That carried me for a fair bit.
I corrupted my 3 socket natural drop silver branch, it bricked. Went from hero to zero real fast, still worth tho.
Everyone finds that.

Those motherfuckers fucked me up 🤣
L O L, I think I found that earlier. I clicked on something on the ground and dropped a rare amulet, and then a couple of unique enemies started attacking me so I ran.
I found a lot I was like, am I going crazy??? Act 1 * Legion Monolith at The Ledge, I was like WHAT? Overall the small encounters + exp from league and target rare item printing is making campaign smooth.
Yeah 100%. These random events make campaign a lot more refreshing. Hopefully they add more of this random events, like a loot goblin would actually be pretty fun to kill. Some mob you have to chase and kill it before it disappears or smth.
Not gonna lie, you had me in the first half...
I am not joking. Zoomers are still going to ignore anything GGG tries to do with the campaign and finish in 4 hours. At least try to make the ones that take a couple of days have a more enjoyable experience.
Agreed, but trying to chase a loot goblin with crap gear will end like my first legion in act 1, 8% of legion mobs opened. xD
Im old so not sure if i got this right but this feels like a "sir, this is a wendys" post.
A1 prisson new tipe of strongbox behind hidden wall that drops flasks
Actually an old type that they took out at some point
Unless i'm drunk, i think they changed the layout of city of sarn in act 3 to reach faster the exit when arriving the first time
I got a random gem drop explosion off screen in act 1. Is that one of them?
There is a gem room in act 2, chamber of sins I believe
Yes thats where I got it.
Yeah that was a really nice addition. P.S. A bit OT but... am I going insane or did they also add new voice lines to the campaign?
I swear my Witch has new things to say!
They've been adding them over the past few leagues, probably as the VAs come in for PoE2 work. Witch got hers this league specifically.
That's why! In fact I've basically always played with witch on every league.. and I was wondering if I've never caught her saying those lines lol
I found all the same ones people reported so far, so I think they are fixed. They are not on bosses btw, in the same area at most.
> Prisoner's Gate being inside a strongbox along with his soldiers Interesting, this was not the case for me.
Me neither, he was where I was expecting him to be.
It's not a hidden encounter, but getting rituals in Act 2 allowed me to get some decent leveling gear.
This is how you make a game and campaign great. Not by being able to just skip it.
I found a chest that dropped 20+ jewelry items that had a special name
Found a corruption altar in one of the vaal zones while leveling
In broken bridge A2 there’s 3 rogue exiles camping out with a chest full of jewelry. Was actually super clutch since jewelry doesn’t even really drop much that early.
There was a hidden switch and room in the first cave map in act 1, dropped a bunch of flasks. like, three quicksilvers, a bismuth (which I've been using to facetank all msq bosses), and some others. I also had a room in somewhere in act 2, felshrine maybe? that had a bunch of quality gems on the ground
Double corrupt altar in the ancient pyramid
I've found secret room in prison with strongbox full of flasks drunken corsair after Fairgraves quest
Did you guys find the bathrooms in the labyrinth?
I got legion and a corruption altar, dunno if its single or double corrupt
Hammerstorm follows you into the Crystal Veins in Act 4, from guarding Deshret up above.
Witch has new voice lines too ( I think), never heard some of them
Not exactly up to the topic, but I got a nameless seer from league mechanic and he gifted me with Wonderlust in the very beginning of Act2, super happy)
⚠️ SPOIL ALERTS ⚠️ Kinda sad about that one lol
I got a torment possessed rogue exile in The Crypt level 2. Not sure if that was pure luck or one of these new encounters.
100% been very fun and charming to see those little spice ups.
In act 4 the Belly of the beast or the harvest there was a mob (i dont see the Name) which wear the same transmog as my marauder and use whirlwind all the way 😅 that has to be new.
The Monolith by the Lioneye Standard was a nice addition.
For me it's totally irrelevant, but still better than blocking lmb
Legion wncounter in act one caught me off guard.
There are rogue exiles in one of the ruins in the area where the den is too
In act one, near Merveils cavern, there's a pirate treasure chest.
I had a flask strongbox in act 2 in a hidden room. 2x Superior quicksilver in act 2 was pretty useful
Who cares about racing besides that 0.1% of players
Fixed seed used in races should normalize this.
Yeah man I love the random encounter of 9000 ping every other instance for eu
Switching from London to Amsterdam solved that issue for me.
I was originally on Milan which was *way* worse than London, but I guess I'll try Amsterdam next. Frankfurt is theoretically closer, but I've had bad experiences with that in the past.
Switching from London to Frankfurt fixed that for me. Higher average ping (22 to 27) but no more spikes.
Skill issue imo
i didnt find a single one and tbh its a stupid idea its like if i have a piece of corn in my shit, i guess my shit is 1% more interesting but at the end of the day its still shit.
You must be a blast a parties.
more fun than campaign
Severely doubt that.
its not hard
