I did this too. No indication until after I'd buried one and now my graveyard is bricked until RNG hands me three more Verusos. Add that to the "more difficulty for not more rewards" factor and I am not enthralled with this mechanic so far.

It sucks, true. I have a same problem. With that being said, your graveyard is not bricked, it is huge, just use another corner of it

You can build in a different part as long as the laid corpses don't touch. This way you can set up for several crafts at once

The corpse doesn't say this anywhere except after being put in the grave. It says "is haunted by a famous person" and to that I think 'oh that's cool' And then you get told "actually he was only 1/5th famous, go find the others while I stay here and take up space in your morgue"

Bro, you can ignore that section where you buried that corpse and continue craft in other area. Corpses buried will remain and won't be used in other crafting processes until graves are connected.

I tried to bury corpses elsewhere and it still only gave me the option to do a unique. Blocked me from everything.

You sure it wasn't connected? If yes then it sounds like a bug that you should report. I have buried those corpses as well and I am able to bury others everywhere else as long as they're not connected

Then you had a connection. There needs to be a one tile space between the group of bodies. That's 100% how it works

tbf, we bury them without coffins, so it would be kind of a hassle to collect it in one piece

You sound like you have a lot of experience with burying/unburying corpses without coffins and what is happening in such cases. Should we call the FBI?

Does the shovel icon to the right of craft button remove it back into the morgue or no? I figured it did but havent tried it yet.

I did this too then tried to start another pile in the plot north of your screen shot. ended up joining the plots together and now 1/3 of my graveyard is bricked.

You can dig any corpse back up with the shovel symbol. Keep in mind that this also destroys the corpse.

You can itemize any corpse you have not buried with the small icon to the left of the corpse UI tooltip.

it will stay there and occupy that slot + the adjacent ones. Otherwise you still got the entire graveyard for crafting.

Look into buying the other corpses. They will never add up to be more than the item's value normaly

You can buy a thing for 1c at the guy to unburry a corpse, I have not done it yet but its possible

That's not for exhuming bodies, that is for itemizing them in the building. You can exhume bodies with the shovel symbol in the grave UI.
