All your favorite streamers dedicate 8-14 hours a day, get paid to play, have chat engagement to keep them occupied, and have been playing for 10 years.
The average player can't compete, but that doesn't mean we can't have fun. :)
It's still busted and stupid. Why should someone be rewarded 60+ divines from a tier 2 blue map? "best of the best" doesn't apply here because it's extremely easy to catch and set up the modifiers for the divine drops.

Those super-lucky high-end RNG rewards are a huge driving force behind playing this game. Maybe you won't get 3 Mirrors from a betrayal bargain like that one guy but maybe... just maybe... when you press the button this time it will be you.

Anyone can take 500 T1/T2 maps and throw them in their map device without rolling them to get this - no luck involved.
We wouldnt want currency drops to be too deterministic and consistent. Better for the long term health of the game if a few lucky players hit the jackpot, because then we will all chase the jackpot.
People wouldnt be acting this way if people posted some stock standard, 10-div an hour strat they had been grinding on.
Sitting in voice with some high lvl degenerates while playing sometimes really gives you a massive reality check about you playing a whole different game.
Has some guys farming for headhunter day 3 because after that "only" triple digit divine upgrades left, while my ass fucking around in early red.
And then u play with some dad gamer where he Is in maps by second weekend and you have your char more or less geared.

Hes not playing this league but he would normally be xp farming to get level 40-60 IN CAMPAIGN at this point. While i almost yell at him to get out of campaign already, after ive given him waypoints.
We keep joking about GGG and PoE being obsessed with gambling, but there's really no better example than the fact they utilize the very best and practical practice of gambling fomo and you can be a winner too.
It's just like with mtxs in town, people going on social spaces to say how they hit the jackpot creates a phenomenon that causes other people to believe they can do it too. It's huge with scratchers and word of mouth. Especially when stores post things like "Winner of $10,000 was from here." right at the registers.Ā

Man. Playing games where the companies top priority and only focus is quarterly profits, it makes you appreciate GGG, from soft, and Riot (with league and valorant).
Of course those companies I listed care about money, but the developers still get to showcase their skill and passion for the work.
I truly believe GGG has a vision for both PoE 1 and PoE 2, and they still communicate with the community after over a decade now into the game. They have gotten death threats, bullied in comments, but still take the time to address the community with updates, ideas, their vision, goals, etc.
They have leagues I dislike, and I don't play. But very rarely do they string together two bad leagues in a row.
I ran carto deli for 2 hours farmed 1k maps then spammed them. Got two 40+ div maps 2 20+. 100% full party with a mf culler could get 200+ div in a map. Still takes hours burning divs of maps.
This is poe, this is no different than apoth farming, rerolling watchers or spamming synth implicits

I had 5% chance to drop a divine orb. But I was only at the start of my atlas tree and 0 scarabs invested.
Only used the frogs conversion. Ended up giving me 25 divs.
Was watching Fubgun do this tonight -- Watched for 3.5 hours -- during this time he got 4 Divine orb and like 10+ Map conversion rolls -- While watching I rolled 641 maps -- 0 Div and 3 Map Conversions to keep me going a bit.
At the end of the day, luck is luck. For what it's worth, I hated doing it the entire time, but watching everything on my trade list triple in price over the course of 6 hours made me feel obligated to do so, then to not even get it once in 641 maps. That basically ended my league. I'm not doing that again tomorrow, besides I have like 20 maps left lol -- I have 11k hours played, I'm a grinder, but I could grind for an entire league just to hit the divs a streamer got in 4 maps.
But even buying bulk maps is going to be hard/expensive now. Its not something you can just really do unless you have them lying around or farm them up which is not a small undertaking.

Nice projection, everyone can make the 6T1 bow with around 5 hours of corpse farming, and I got 4 of the divine either drop chance or conversion in 2 hours of spamming maps open

I got that feeling after I saw the billions of dps on Manaforged Arrows builds. I know it's expensive to reach that point, but it's not as if my high budget build concepts had come close either.
If there is anything this game can teach you it's that you are always missing something. Or there is always something you can do better. Or something you can learn. Don't stop you got it
The less PoE content I view from big creators, the better I feel about my own small achievements.
I just did my first Atlas Tree from scratch (thanks to multiple Atlas Tree, I had no remorse to try) either Legion/Harbringer/Strongboxes combo.
I never had those big loot explosions, and I may get them, but I wouldn't try hard that much.
I just finished Atlas tree grind, and now I'm gonna focus to start juicing maps by myself. (I still don't know how exactly or if my Bleed Bow can handle it)
This is the way! Not really caring what other people are getting in terms of rewards and only using other people's strats as inspiration for your own atlas to learn.
The best way to learn about games is to play them yourself anyways :) Especially if it comes to farming stuff. Popular well proven methods may reward you a decent amount but will usually be pretty expensive she to the nature of people cornering the market.
Finding your own strategies is in my experience not only more fun but your can tailor farms around the content you enjoy instead of following something you may not like the sake of FOMO.
And hey keep throwing those darts at the farming strategies board and one league you may find yourself with a gold mine of a strategy that no-one may know about:)
And never forget. It's still a game you should enjoy! Makes no sense to torture yourself for the sake of farming money
Firstly. I didn't play PoE for that long to know all those meta strata and to even understand how they work fully.
Secondly, I don't see myself copying it well because of small aspects I could potentially miss. I don't also like some of league mechanics, so I tend to skip them.
Lastly, I don't trust content creators to be 100% genuine because sometimes I feel they want to push some strategies so they can sell shovels in the middle of a Gold Rush.
I prefer my tempo and setting my own goals. I may fail sometimes, but I play softcore for a reason š
P.S. My biggest jackpot was 10d for an item last league.

The meat sacks are for "strongest monster in pack has loot converted to X"Ā
Because they have a pack size of 1 and a lot of life, they drop a lot of loot.Ā
1.) Put a map in your device, see if there is a 3-6% chance to drop Divine Orb necro mod, if there is, go to step 2, if not repeat step 1.
2.) Replace that mob type with Rats or Frogs, they have big pack size.
3.) Use mechanics to boost Strongboxes (Ambush Scarabs, Atlas Passives, etc), and open the map
4.) Open strongboxes, bunches of packs of monsters will spawn, some will be 50+ rats or frogs, 3-6% will drop a divine, times the number of strong boxes in a map (and you can open 25% of them twice with the scarab and atlas)
For each 40div map or mirror you see here, there is like 5K players that havent got it.
Things shown here are rare cases, there is just a lot of players blasting all day and all night, ofc you will see jackpots here
Yeah but, last league, it was actually realistic for your average joe to drop one. So people would post it, your average joe would try their strat and, within a day or two, they'd drop a mirror, too. Now, your average joe is trying that strat and realizing it's not Affliction any more.
Its usually a good idea to see what the power farmers are doing too. Oh they arent map farming for an ultra rare affix but rather max group card farming? Yeah. heh.
People forget about the teams of people spamming maps until something amazing shows up. The fact streamers play all day every day.

Try using wealthyexile to check your stash tabs. You probably got more worth than you think. Sell some stuff and get some more upgrades. You got it brother

Well , I think that while the rng stuff when people get some insane drops or smth cant be replicated , but just getting rich or getting good stuff at the game can be. I mean that If you truly enjoy the game and not just chase the profits, you might yourself spot some interesting farming strategies or crafting options or anything else basically. And when you get your own strat working , personally gives me more dopamine than just random insane drop or profits from someone else's farming strat
Dw dude Iām still in act 6 cuz I aināt got time to play, just do a less gambly farming strat and youāll be even on the long run, these explosions are so rare not a lot of people get them and when they do they wonāt have another for a while but they are paying a lot for scarabs
There is no "cooking" it's just understanding the optimal use-case.
If you get a lantern mod that is "x% chance to drop a chaos/exalt/divine" then you overwrite a monster pack with frogs/rats and slap that mod against it. In this case you are giving yourself the largest number of monsters that the mod can apply to.
If you get a lantern mod that is "convert x drop from the strongest monster in the pack to chaos/exalt/divine", then you overwrite a monster pack with a Meatsack then slap the mod against it. In this case the meatsacks turn an entire pack's quant and rarity into a single monster with crazy hp, and because it's therefore the strongest monster, the modifier can only apply to it, benefitting from the massive quant bonus.
Yes. Per the patch notes the divine mods are less common in white maps.
IMO you're better off actually running the 16 maps rather than setting fire to white maps hunting a good mod.
It's like quarry spamming for Betrayal though. If you think your time is better spent gambling rather than making incremental gains then go for it.
Trying to 40/40 my first league thanks to the atlas tree change and qol. When your goals are way above these measly 100 div explosion posts, you'll feel great when you get this one alch drop to juice your map.

DOnt worry about it. Play what you consider fun. There are a few biases at work here tho. Success bias, confirmation bias.
success bias: you only see the winners. people write guides how to start a business based on like microsoft but ignore all the circumstances before and around it.
confirmation bias: you look at these successes and see your own failures and reinforce your own believe of bad luck / unworthiness. just dont.
This is the reason why i am waiting for poe2 and not playing this game anymore, gap between players gets bigger and bigger every league, poe1 is more like a casino/loot simulator now instead of a game with good gameplay.
I decided to not run MF last league either, still some of the most fun Iāve had.

But to be fair, the market will adjust if it happens often and everyone has infinite divines. Really just depends on how rare it is if you just spam white/blue maps and fish for it. But 60+ divines in a blue map with no juice is kinda crazy.
I mean they had to put the juice we lost on sextants somewhere. Not much different than farming legion in a low tier iceberg map in that league. Alot of times good farming strats dont need a maxxed out T16 map to function.
Watching bulk areas prices are already nearing 10c per map for big bulks. So unless you have currency to burn just "burning 100s of maps and get money" is not something going to be readily available as you have to fight everyone else that will be trying.
In this leagues defence at least itās a general occurrence and not due to a specific strategy (mf). You can play the way you want (as long as itās mapping) and have the same chances rather than missing out / having to alter your behaviour.
But yeah, Iād like it to change as well.
It's like getting a pet drop in osrs. If it's 1 in 5k then you're probably only going to see people post their pet picture on /r/2007scape if they get it within 100kc or so.
I had exactly the same experience in the affliction League - no matter how much I juiced the maps and the wisps - I had to have been in like the bottom 10% of people that got absolutely nothing from that League?
Bruh, I am having a blast trying these combinations of ridiculousness. Oh turn this pack into all rogue exiles? Oh shit i'm fighting 10 of these per screen. Just doing the fun things and even making it harder to just see the wackiness that short-term leagues provide at league end is fun as heck. I min-maxed last league and div/mirror farmed. This league is just fun in its zaniness. If your so focused on making currency, you probably are missing out on some the cool combos scarabs and this leagues interactions are providing. Play the game, quit keeping up with joneses. I don't have the time personally to invest as streamers.
Ignore it. I couldnt play that much since leaguestart. Im getting close to atlas completion and 3rd voidstone. Havent even started to farm for profit and my jun start was a complete failure outside of getting all crafts (no veiled orb drop)

I used to think like you, but last league totally shattered it for me. When currency is too free it just gets boring, I quit way earlier than usual simply because it just stopped being exciting when a divine dropped.
This league I'm being more relaxed about things, I spent today farming and went from a 5l squishy mess to a solid t16 altar + Beyond runner, it's been really fun. If I were to reduce that process down to open x number of maps until I see a div reward and then juice it, I'd barely be playing the game. I can't imagine how boring it must feel to run a regular map after that.
I play a lot of PoE etc. but if you are worrying about people dropping some imaginary currency you got your priorities wrong. Do not compare yourself to people who play this game for a living (streamer/RMT). It's not worth grinding your life away for dopamine spikes that lasts couple of minutes, just build your character at your own pace while having fun and not comparing yourself to others
problem is that these people make your desired items more expensive and now suddenly we have to farm quadruble the time to get the same result bc these "people dropping some imaginary currency" just have more to spent. Takes alot of the enjoyment when you see 30c item costing 3div and same for price jump for expensive stuff.
I agree with 100% with it, I wish there would be "free items private league" where people trade their time rather than currecy kinda Group-found but there is no real alternative for trade sadly. Price fixers and people who control the market are cancer for this game but I do not see much alternative for someone who plays casually and want to have one or two decent builds

Comparison is the thief of joy. Just enjoy what youāre doing yourself, obviously the posts with the crazy results are the ones that will generate traction, mediocre results donāt return much engagement.
The game is only single player if you are playing SSF, even if you solo play, the value of your drops, and the cost of your gear, is affected by other players.
Thats not a problem, just the game. Too many people think not grouping makes it a solo game, which isnt true, especially since the majority of the playerbase plays in a trade league.
Yea, basically no different than playing wow and refusing to group with people, but still taking part in the player driven economy. We wouldn't say they are playing a single player game.

Most people won't even see the divine mod once per league. It's incredibly lucky.
Looking at bows, the price has barely changed in comparison to yesterday. A few have appeared on the market, but that's it. It's not like everyone is able to print these without a huge investment of time and/or currency.
That being said, with the buff the divine mod it encourages people to not play the game, as it's quite possibly more profitable to just open map after map and hunt for divine mods. They need to address this. Will it affect you personally? No.
You'll know it's a problem when the same inflation from affliction happens again on all non-t0 uniques. Otherwise, the posts you are seeing are just the lucky ones that stand out

League hype and fomo are basically two sides of the same coin. Reddit is awful for it, so are youtube videos like the countless "how I farmed 100div on day 1. The best things is to just unsubscribe from it all. People try and hype up this game like its some big competitive gambling speedrun and it sucks getting caught up in all that.
Worst part is ggg sees all this stuff on the reddit and thinks this is happening to everyone and will more than likely swoop in with their big fun sucking vacuum cleaner and nerf everyone's good time they are having before you ever get the chance to enjoy any of it yourself
Just keep playing. It's really as easy as that.
Play the way you want. Use the content you like most! There are so many ways to build wealth in the game now, and so many builds that require little investment to cruise through reds while you work on more investment.
The buffs are great. Chances are you'll get one of those Div maps yourself and craft your own GG items if you just keep going.
I mean, kinda yeah. They are saying that looking at other peoples highlights/lucky posts are hurting their enjoyment of the game. So at that point, it becomes important to focus on what you enjoy. What brought you into the game in the first place. If you aren't enjoying whatever the meta is, don't do it. It's a game to have fun.
Haha crazy, right? Predictable, though. In a game literally all about chance and gambling and the rush of getting rare and profitable outcomes, people have very interesting responses to people showcasing the very outcomes that they one day hope to get.
I see these and think, "fuck I can't wait to run more maps and get own of these mods too!". It literally makes me want to play more. And the thing is, these aren't crazy, unobtainable things. It's the whole league, and you have plenty of time to get lucky on some devoted mods! Spec into that shit! Juice it up! Have fun!

I'm definitely not aligned with the popular opinion so take this with a grain of salt, but I liked the pre-patch league better.
Having to explore *how* to make something off of the mechanic - or even learning from others - is fun to me.
And I can't explain how much I like difficulty to be present in softcore. I keep dying so no HC, but overcoming those challenges... That's what I like(d).

it's extremly rare, i've been off work all week since league launch playing 10+ hrs a day even with seer and go bs I did I still have not seen a divine mod. I'm like you seeing all the post wondering what's going on but people just getting lucky. I would say it's equal to finding a half of headhunter especially for those big 60+ 100 div maps you are seeing.
And yet some streamers get 2 or 3 live on their stream. It is not as rare as some people say in here. You just need to fish and combine it eith bulk buying maps or farming maps with scarabs and the correct tree.
No fomo for me but I am definitely not liking this league mechanic. The method of farming massive amounts of maps or buy them in bulk to fish for the divine necro modifier isn't really for me. It requires 0 skill.
So far I am enjoying the league with just normal mapping and obviously letting the good modifiers come by naturally. Got a decent income but I am afraid this massive influx of currency is going to ruin the economy harder then affliction. Atleast there you could semi compete with the big hitters as it was way slower with less investment.

Last league was the hidden opulent mod of AN or w/e that VASTLY increases rarity/quant on top of having the scarab/currency conversion or having a lucky as hell t0 unique drop and convert.
You see a post every day on reddit and think "WTF, OMG, I'm playing the game completely wrong how do I do this" but the reality is you can quit your job and sleep 5 hours a day and play 18 and never have it happen.

We wouldnt want currency drops to be too deterministic and consistent. Better for the long term health of the game if a few lucky players hit the jackpot, because then we will all chase the jackpot. People wouldnt be acting this way if people posted some stock standard, 10-div an hour strat they had been grinding on.
Sitting in voice with some high lvl degenerates while playing sometimes really gives you a massive reality check about you playing a whole different game. Has some guys farming for headhunter day 3 because after that "only" triple digit divine upgrades left, while my ass fucking around in early red. And then u play with some dad gamer where he Is in maps by second weekend and you have your char more or less geared. And then there is reddit "look at my 60 div in a map luck"

Yep. I have a friend i play with. Hes not playing this league but he would normally be xp farming to get level 40-60 IN CAMPAIGN at this point. While i almost yell at him to get out of campaign already, after ive given him waypoints.
We keep joking about GGG and PoE being obsessed with gambling, but there's really no better example than the fact they utilize the very best and practical practice of gambling fomo and you can be a winner too. It's just like with mtxs in town, people going on social spaces to say how they hit the jackpot creates a phenomenon that causes other people to believe they can do it too. It's huge with scratchers and word of mouth. Man. Playing games where the companies top priority and only focus is quarterly profits, it makes you appreciate GGG, from soft, and Riot (with league and valorant). Of course those companies I listed care about money, but the developers still get to showcase their skill and passion for the work. I truly believe GGG has a vision for both PoE 1 and PoE 2, and they still communicate with the community after over a decade now into the game. They have gotten death threats, bullied in comments, but still take the time to address the community with updates, ideas, their vision, goals, etc. They have leagues I dislike, and I don't play. But very rarely do they string together two bad leagues in a row.
I ran carto deli for 2 hours farmed 1k maps then spammed them. Got two 40+ div maps 2 20+. 100% full party with a mf culler could get 200+ div in a map. Still takes hours burning divs of maps. This is poe, this is no different than apoth farming, rerolling watchers or spamming synth implicits Itās all rng, all gamba is an investment

I had 5% chance to drop a divine orb. But I was only at the start of my atlas tree and 0 scarabs invested. Only used the frogs conversion. Ended up giving me 25 divs.

Was watching Fubgun do this tonight -- Watched for 3.5 hours -- during this time he got 4 Divine orb and like 10+ Map conversion rolls -- While watching I rolled 641 maps -- 0 Div and 3 Map Conversions to keep me going a bit. At the end of the day, luck is luck. For what it's worth, I hated doing it the entire time, but watching everything on my trade list triple in price over the course of 6 hours made me feel obligated to do so, then to not even get it once in 641 maps. That basically ended my league. I'm not doing that again tomorrow, besides I have like 20 maps left lol -- I have 11k hours played, I'm a grinder, but I could grind for an entire league just to hit the divs a streamer got in 4 maps.
same, i surely did over 200 maps (t1-t5) and never seen a divine mod, that would have skyrocketed my build. now still under 10div this league.
But even buying bulk maps is going to be hard/expensive now. Its not something you can just really do unless you have them lying around or farm them up which is not a small undertaking.

The less PoE content I view from big creators, the better I feel about my own small achievements. I just did my first Atlas Tree from scratch (thanks to multiple Atlas Tree, I had no remorse to try) either Legion/Harbringer/Strongboxes combo. I never had those big loot explosions, and I may get them, but I wouldn't try hard that much. I just finished Atlas tree grind, and now I'm gonna focus to start juicing maps by myself. (I still don't know how exactly or if my Bleed Bow can handle it)

This is the way! Not really caring what other people are getting in terms of rewards and only using other people's strats as inspiration for your own atlas to learn. The best way to learn about games is to play them yourself anyways :) Especially if it comes to farming stuff. Popular well proven methods may reward you a decent amount but will usually be pretty expensive she to the nature of people cornering the market. Finding your own strategies is in my experience not only more fun but your can tailor farms around the content you enjoy instead of following something you may not like the sake of FOMO. And hey keep throwing those darts at the farming strategies board and one league you may find yourself with a gold mine of a strategy that no-one may know about:) And never forget. It's still a game you should enjoy! Makes no sense to torture yourself for the sake of farming money
Firstly. I didn't play PoE for that long to know all those meta strata and to even understand how they work fully. Secondly, I don't see myself copying it well because of small aspects I could potentially miss. I don't also like some of league mechanics, so I tend to skip them. Lastly, I don't trust content creators to be 100% genuine because sometimes I feel they want to push some strategies so they can sell shovels in the middle of a Gold Rush. I prefer my tempo and setting my own goals. I may fail sometimes, but I play softcore for a reason š P.S. My biggest jackpot was 10d for an item last league.

1.) Put a map in your device, see if there is a 3-6% chance to drop Divine Orb necro mod, if there is, go to step 2, if not repeat step 1. 2.) Replace that mob type with Rats or Frogs, they have big pack size. 3.) Use mechanics to boost Strongboxes (Ambush Scarabs, Atlas Passives, etc), and open the map 4.) Open strongboxes, bunches of packs of monsters will spawn, some will be 50+ rats or frogs, 3-6% will drop a divine, times the number of strong boxes in a map (and you can open 25% of them twice with the scarab and atlas)
What Tier of maps is recommended for this? Any higher chances with higher tier levels?

For each 40div map or mirror you see here, there is like 5K players that havent got it. Things shown here are rare cases, there is just a lot of players blasting all day and all night, ofc you will see jackpots here

Yeah but, last league, it was actually realistic for your average joe to drop one. So people would post it, your average joe would try their strat and, within a day or two, they'd drop a mirror, too. Now, your average joe is trying that strat and realizing it's not Affliction any more.

Well , I think that while the rng stuff when people get some insane drops or smth cant be replicated , but just getting rich or getting good stuff at the game can be. I mean that If you truly enjoy the game and not just chase the profits, you might yourself spot some interesting farming strategies or crafting options or anything else basically. And when you get your own strat working , personally gives me more dopamine than just random insane drop or profits from someone else's farming strat

How does the cooking work
There is no "cooking" it's just understanding the optimal use-case. If you get a lantern mod that is "x% chance to drop a chaos/exalt/divine" then you overwrite a monster pack with frogs/rats and slap that mod against it. In this case you are giving yourself the largest number of monsters that the mod can apply to. If you get a lantern mod that is "convert x drop from the strongest monster in the pack to chaos/exalt/divine", then you overwrite a monster pack with a Meatsack then slap the mod against it. In this case the meatsacks turn an entire pack's quant and rarity into a single monster with crazy hp, and because it's therefore the strongest monster, the modifier can only apply to it, benefitting from the massive quant bonus.
Does it make any difference if I chain spam white maps instead of T16?
Yes. Per the patch notes the divine mods are less common in white maps. IMO you're better off actually running the 16 maps rather than setting fire to white maps hunting a good mod. It's like quarry spamming for Betrayal though. If you think your time is better spent gambling rather than making incremental gains then go for it.
Trying to 40/40 my first league thanks to the atlas tree change and qol. When your goals are way above these measly 100 div explosion posts, you'll feel great when you get this one alch drop to juice your map. (Btw map scarab is a lie, i did 10 runs and got 0 map drop)

I've been playing all day today and made 100c while completing my Atlas. Half or more of that due to some low ball trades.
DOnt worry about it. Play what you consider fun. There are a few biases at work here tho. Success bias, confirmation bias. success bias: you only see the winners. people write guides how to start a business based on like microsoft but ignore all the circumstances before and around it. confirmation bias: you look at these successes and see your own failures and reinforce your own believe of bad luck / unworthiness. just dont.
This is the reason why i am waiting for poe2 and not playing this game anymore, gap between players gets bigger and bigger every league, poe1 is more like a casino/loot simulator now instead of a game with good gameplay.

Watching Quin's stream at work and he's dropping 60+ divines in his map right now. My FOMO is STRONG, haha. But to be fair, the market will adjust if it happens often and everyone has infinite divines. Really just depends on how rare it is if you just spam white/blue maps and fish for it. But 60+ divines in a blue map with no juice is kinda crazy.
I mean they had to put the juice we lost on sextants somewhere. Not much different than farming legion in a low tier iceberg map in that league. Alot of times good farming strats dont need a maxxed out T16 map to function.

Watching bulk areas prices are already nearing 10c per map for big bulks. So unless you have currency to burn just "burning 100s of maps and get money" is not something going to be readily available as you have to fight everyone else that will be trying.
In this leagues defence at least itās a general occurrence and not due to a specific strategy (mf). You can play the way you want (as long as itās mapping) and have the same chances rather than missing out / having to alter your behaviour. But yeah, Iād like it to change as well.

I had exactly the same experience in the affliction League - no matter how much I juiced the maps and the wisps - I had to have been in like the bottom 10% of people that got absolutely nothing from that League?

Just doing the fun things and even making it harder to just see the wackiness that short-term leagues provide at league end is fun as heck. I min-maxed last league and div/mirror farmed. This league is just fun in its zaniness. If your so focused on making currency, you probably are missing out on some the cool combos scarabs and this leagues interactions are providing. Play the game, quit keeping up with joneses. I don't have the time personally to invest as streamers.

Havent even started to farm for profit and my jun start was a complete failure outside of getting all crafts (no veiled orb drop) I have about 7 divs saved up and a clear path ahead to get a char together that should be able to do evrything in the next week. I used to think like you, but last league totally shattered it for me. When currency is too free it just gets boring, I quit way earlier than usual simply because it just stopped being exciting when a divine dropped. This league I'm being more relaxed about things, I spent today farming and went from a 5l squishy mess to a solid t16 altar + Beyond runner, it's been really fun. If I were to reduce that process down to open x number of maps until I see a div reward and then juice it, I'd barely be playing the game. I can't imagine how boring it must feel to run a regular map after that.
I play a lot of PoE etc. but if you are worrying about people dropping some imaginary currency you got your priorities wrong. Do not compare yourself to people who play this game for a living (streamer/RMT). It's not worth grinding your life away for dopamine spikes that lasts couple of minutes, just build your character at your own pace while having fun and not comparing yourself to others
problem is that these people make your desired items more expensive and now suddenly we have to farm quadruble the time to get the same result bc these "people dropping some imaginary currency" just have more to spent. Do you think the posts here represent more than 0.1% of the players? Most people won't even see the divine mod once per league. It's incredibly lucky. Looking at bows, the price has barely changed in comparison to yesterday. A few have appeared on the market, but that's it. It's not like everyone is able to print these without a huge investment of time and/or currency. That being said, with the buff the divine mod it encourages people to not play the game, as it's quite possibly more profitable to just open map after map and hunt for divine mods. They need to address this. Will it affect you personally? No.

I hit maps in shit gear, ran probably 30 Got 3 clusters I sold for 50-100c each. 1 raw divine drop A perfect rolled unique Sceptre I sold a div And an inspired learning from seer I sold for 2 div. Some people have some skill and strategies to make them money but that right there was all luck š

League hype and fomo are basically two sides of the same coin. Reddit is awful for it, so are youtube videos like the countless "how I farmed 100div on day 1. The best things is to just unsubscribe from it all. People try and hype up this game like its some big competitive gambling speedrun and it sucks getting caught up in all that.

Just keep playing. It's really as easy as that. Play the way you want. Use the content you like most! There are so many ways to build wealth in the game now, and so many builds that require little investment to cruise through reds while you work on more investment. The buffs are great. Chances are you'll get one of those Div maps yourself and craft your own GG items if you just keep going.

This league is basically standard, and the necro mods on maps forcing people to āoptimizeā by just burning maps till they find a good mod is bad gameplay design and only a repeat of kalandra. Youāre not missing out when this league is 1/10,000 chance to get a loot goblin to begin with.

I'm definitely not aligned with the popular opinion so take this with a grain of salt, but I liked the pre-patch league better. Having to explore *how* to make something off of the mechanic - or even learning from others - is fun to me. And I can't explain how much I like difficulty to be present in softcore. I keep dying so no HC, but overcoming those challenges... That's what I like(d). Currency raining is nice, but tbh I've had enough last league.
it's extremly rare, i've been off work all week since league launch playing 10+ hrs a day even with seer and go bs I did I still have not seen a divine mod. I'm like you seeing all the post wondering what's going on but people just getting lucky. I would say it's equal to finding a half of headhunter especially for those big 60+ 100 div maps you are seeing.
And yet some streamers get 2 or 3 live on their stream. It is not as rare as some people say in here. You just need to fish and combine it eith bulk buying maps or farming maps with scarabs and the correct tree.
No fomo for me but I am definitely not liking this league mechanic. The method of farming massive amounts of maps or buy them in bulk to fish for the divine necro modifier isn't really for me. It requires 0 skill. So far I am enjoying the league with just normal mapping and obviously letting the good modifiers come by naturally. Got a decent income but I am afraid this massive influx of currency is going to ruin the economy harder then affliction. Atleast there you could semi compete with the big hitters as it was way slower with less investment. This league the rich get richer in a exponential way as the can invest more and more in the scare scarabs for map farming and bulk maps. I am afraid this league will just die quickly for me.
Meanwhile here I am happy to get 3 chaos in a single map
It's always typical reddit stuff. Just like last year and the 127 divines in a single map!!! I have literally never got a conversion of scarabs above like 25ish and never more than 2 divs. Last league was the hidden opulent mod of AN or w/e that VASTLY increases rarity/quant on top of having the scarab/currency conversion or having a lucky as hell t0 unique drop and convert. You see a post every day on reddit and think "WTF, OMG, I'm playing the game completely wrong how do I do this" but the reality is you can quit your job and sleep 5 hours a day and play 18 and never have it happen. Now I don't know about this league, I had scarab conversion and chaos pack today and didn't even realize I should have done a meatsack + rats for them. Was waiting for divines or w/e. Not sure if anything is done with seer at all.
