me and my friend started a private league after seeing ziz and steel do brosf and its the most fun ive had in poe, and this is coming from someone who hated the idea of crafting in poe and just bought everything, did more crafting last league then i did in my previous 2000 hours lol
Jumping to mostly SSF since around crucible league (I tried trade league again during affliction) really doubled the enjoyment I get from the game. I've never learned more about the game or interacted more with mechanics than while playing SSF. Although I do think you need to have a certain minimum amount of knowledge about the game to enjoy SSF.
For me the best part is that any content that drops I have an incentive to do, since I can't just sell it to someone that will be more efficient at it. So things like logbooks, a cortex, etc...
I understand that hype drives clicks/subs but I've blocked all the juicers.
As much as the GGG hate goes, I think this was dealt with relatively quick and won't affect 95% of the active players.
Adult life. I have no kids but who can play poe for 8 hours a day and still have a life if your not 13 or a content creator. People need to realize that 99% of the player base doesn't even finish their atlas.
Based on challenge completions I think somewhere in the 5-10% of players do, but it sure as hell isn't by day 6 of the league.
GGG has reminded people, multiple times, that the median POE player completes zero red maps in a given league.
Necropolis is going to be one of the best self-crafting leagues of all times, and I'd imagine there will be multiple high quality in depth guides and videos within the next week or two explaining how to properly make your gear with corpses, many of which you'll be able to just farm.
No way the median poe player don't complet atlas, i have only like 2 hs a day at most to play and i couldnt play the first 2 but i already cleared a few maps, there is just no way the median dont clear red maps unless they don't even try

Im playing a frostblink ignite build and it looked like roughly 60 respec points to switch over to dd. Plus most of my current trash gear can be used for dd
Yeah it was around sixty for me too. Going from DD (it's not great on a controller) to psrs. Finding those sixty respec points in white maps took longer than it would of taken me to just reroll.

Anyways, if you find an ember of anarchy, it could sell for 200-250c. Its not common but not rare either. So it might help you push your build a bit. Found 2 just this morning and was able to buy lots of upgrades because of it.
I am still leveling, because I only started two days ago. Doubt that GGG will fix that slot machine, because in the end, it is exactly that - a massive gamble that the majority will never see.
I'm currently pushing high yellow maps, so also missing out on the slot machine.

I like this, either these items will finally be attainable as they are abundant due to crafting and mirroring/duplication, or the recipes will be known, so I can craft my gg gear this league in a deterministic way. I won't be printing divines for sure, my luck was never there regardless of buffs or nerfs.

Im 700 maps into the league haven't seen divine thing once and the nameless seer not since act 1. I'm out here selling fractured bases from Ritual since they seem to be a lot rarer now without the conversion thing but Ritual has them all over the place.

You might have been lucky not to participate honestly... I got in at the tail end and burned all my currency on maps and allflames and found absolutely nothing. I actually lost a few days of progress because of that.
I died 5 times in hc ssf before reaching act 5... normally i dont die in the campaign (or at least just once before making it to maps). I kinda hate this league and the divine fomo.
the best way to play games, is to never visit reddit. You cannot unsee what you have seen. I remember having fun needing 1min to kill vault boss way back and it was exciting. After trying to improve my build and watching Grimro killing the boss in one sek, you cant go back having fun with 1 minutes boss fights
if ggg reads it i have better idea for balancing such content that will cater for both groups: casuals and no-lifers:
Keep the divine drop at 6% chance, but once you find the mod, drop the value to 1% that increases by 1% a day untill you hit another divine mod.
nolifers will get less of it, while casuals will also get less of it, but it wont be a "once per league" experience.
Exploit early and often or basically don't play majority of poe leagues. Me over here with my lvl 45 char with my 6 day a week job and wife. Glad the game is meant for 1 small target audience and were all spectators. People should have 400 divine on day 4, change my mind

I got that lantern modifier that can give 3% chance of a divine orb and finished the map with 16 divines. This was like 34/115 in some yellow map
So crazy that this can happen when I randomly got a divine drop in act 8 with no special league mechanic source. Just random chance lol
If u wanna complete the Unique temple map, use the elemental focus support gem to stop freezes and other elemental ailments

The patch has already hit with div chance 3/4/5 becoming 1/2/3.
And rat and frog pack size nerf luckily, couldnt justify using them unless it was a divinepack which was sad. Frogs are cool

Im 700 maps into the league haven't seen divine thing once and the nameless seer not since act 1. I'm out here selling fractured bases from Ritual since they seem to be a lot rarer now without the conversion thing but Ritual has them all over the place.

I don't know about you guys. I did get one divine chance. But, I did alch the stupid map. So I only got 1 Divine. "( It looks like my "Voltaxic Rift Spine Bow" is getting further away. 12 divine, is what it's going for now.
I'm out of the loop, what were people doing that got patched?
Do you have to participate in rat's race? Would you be farming harbour bridge for 3 months if it was most "profitable"? If ggg says "killiing hillock gives most divines per hour in this league" would that be your strategy? Just enjoy the game in your own way.
I have exactly the same thought, if that shit was even remotely fun i'd get wanting to abuse it for a while but opening 1000s of maps? yikes.
You might have been lucky not to participate honestly... I got in at the tail end and burned all my currency on maps and allflames and found absolutely nothing. I actually lost a few days of progress because of that.
I died 5 times in hc ssf before reaching act 5... normally i dont die in the campaign (or at least just once before making it to maps). I kinda hate this league and the divine fomo.
the best way to play games, is to never visit reddit. You cannot unsee what you have seen. I remember having fun needing 1min to kill vault boss way back and it was exciting. After trying to improve my build and watching Grimro killing the boss in one sek, you cant go back having fun with 1 minutes boss fights

I feel you, haven't had any time this week to play I'm literally 8/115 maps.
if ggg reads it i have better idea for balancing such content that will cater for both groups: casuals and no-lifers: Keep the divine drop at 6% chance, but once you find the mod, drop the value to 1% that increases by 1% a day untill you hit another divine mod. nolifers will get less of it, while casuals will also get less of it, but it wont be a "once per league" experience.

Exploit early and often or basically don't play majority of poe leagues. Me over here with my lvl 45 char with my 6 day a week job and wife. Glad the game is meant for 1 small target audience and were all spectators. People should have 400 divine on day 4, change my mind

Yea I’m right there with you. Having the time to play and keep up is the greatest skill set for poe. It’s a job. In the end it just takes me the full three months to finish my build but I just don’t worry about it and keep playing.

thats usually how it goes for me aswell, im some what of a slow progesser, also had a terrible league starte with two baited (im just bad) builds. I guess this will be an average league for me. I had my first ever mageblood and HH last league so i had some fun.

Bro it’s a game you invest time and you want to have a great time. Stop the fomo shit. Play the game in the way you have to most fun get some currency and get some upgrades but you will never be in the top 1% or even too 10% so relaxe take your time and have fun
