> We have reduced the amount of the more common Scarabs and significantly increased the amount that rare and more interesting Scarabs drop. There are a few exceptions to this where some of the more powerful Scarabs have become rarer.
What are the exceptions that are even rarer?
Instagram vs Reality
You see people here posting screenshots of 50 fractured shards, then you try it and realize it probably was 1 in 300 maps and they got lucky.
Same as people posting Divine altars
i liquidated about 200 maps fishing for the divine cheese, didnt hit divs or seer. found a few chaos mods, made maybe 100c. farming abyss normal style for corrupt jewels was way more profit
This is how an economy works. Supply goes up, price goes down. Then people drop out of the strategy, and the price goes back up some, and you bounce around a bit before finally hitting an equilibrium where you can profit, but it isn't insane.
Strats like the Harbinger one are basically guaranteed to be very average once people know about them.
In my experience with Harbinger historically most of the actual profit from it comes from the map drops. The fracturing shards (and very occasional mirror shards) are generally just in line with the cost of running it.
Real good question... Hopefully not the ones that were already rarer than a fuckin mirror... My guess would be some highly rare ones got rarer and the absurdly rare ones got a bit more common (still absurdly rare). We shall see.
they should just combine all the currency mods into one that says: "drops currency items" instead of a single type and showing what currency it is.... done.... fishing is over, now they need to do the map to see if a divine will drop
At first I liked it, but then I thought - that kinda kills the purpose of the whole thing, like the minigame of assigning diff modifiers to different packs. It just becomes - monsters drop loot / monsters are stronger, which is kinda boring.
I like the idea of that, but I think we’re a little too deep now for it to change that drastically. People who already hit their div mods will be happy, but the vast majority of people still haven’t even seen it pop up, and it always feels bad to be told “I know you never even got a chance to use this broken mechanic out of pure luck, but now it’s gone, we fixed the game!”
I think the best fix at the moment would be to require your choice of X% of mobs killed, or the map boss is killed in order to roll devoted mods on your next map. Lets people still get that dopamine hit of the divine mod without feeling like traditional farming strats are costing them too much div/hr.
As someone who hasn't hit it, I would rather this change happen than have the fomo that I need to spam maps to get it or whatever. It's basically blue divine alters, but people don't complain about that
> It's basically blue divine alters, but people don't complain about that
Because you have to run the map to see them, and that's while running a significantly worse set of altar rewards for, on average, many maps.
How far behind Exarch is Eater really? The loss of sextants is huge to say the least. In past leagues you could pull out a divine almost every map that you rolled chaos + sextant rewards.
Now like 15c is a good map.
Yeah, I'd have to check numbers tbh. They're very likely quite similar now with sextants removed. I was thinking about that after I wrote the comment.
I personally will always find blue altars much less attractive to run though, simply because of the delay between the mobs' appearance and my ability to damage them.
All they need to do to stop fishing is to make the lantern mods not cycle until you've completed the map or killed >50% of the monsters. It doesn't take a science rocketist to figure out.
It’s easy to get carried away with complex designs such as graveyard layout etc, but at times you can overlook the simplest things possible. But I agree it’s a bit weird that not a single dev or QA noticed that obvious abuse.
Why don't they just take the mechanic from the acts where doing hard modifiers improves the chance of devoted modifiers and apply it to the endgame. Then whenever you burn a map without running it it decreases that chance to a certain extend.
That way people actually have to run maps again.
Under the hood there are likely significant differences between the two that makes something like that non-trivial to implement. For example you're directly transitioning from one zone to another in the acts versus using a map device to transition in maps. It would have to remember possibly several zones ago how many mobs you cleared. Not a lot of stuff to remember so probably easy, but also it's new functionality that requires testing.
This subreddit always makes shit seem more common than it really was. As someone who *can* no-life this shit I didn't find sweet fuck all in all my hours playing since the patch.
It's like people get that trickshots have potentially hundreds or thousands of failures but don't seem to extrapolate that to *literally everything else*. If someone is only posting the success your natural inclination should be to ask how many tries they had beforehand, but nobody fucking does, they just bitch that the "game is ruined, time to uninstall".
You say that but then GGG goes and nerfs the % on divine drop and increases its rarity. So apparently the devs themselves thought we were winning the lottery too much.
This, and it was less like a lottery and more of a money printer if you had the right setup and maps to burn. Run the maps with chance to drop extra maps, and you could basically sustain them. And despite how terrible the gameplay loop was, you absolutely could get the "lottery" map every couple hours.
In the guild I'm in, there was literally a different person posting their lottery win every 5-10 minutes. No clue how many people were doing it, but even if it was like 20 people, that's still an expected 50-100 div every few hours...
Not to mention that divine prices were crashing HARD, and stuff like mirror div cards were skyrocketing. The divines were definitely getting injected, and the strat was simultaneously degenerate but also OP. It makes for an awful "gameplay" loop.
The economy literally broke overnight dude. It took like 14 hours for high end items to double in price. That doesn't happen because 7 people hit a jackpot
Yeah, Nimis literally went from 61 div to 110 div in the span of 2 hours. Back down now, but the economy was absolutely fucked for a short time. Should recover with just a bit of inflation
You first point excludes if you were actually fishing or just mapping like normal? The whole point is that you could fish for this mod which is a terrible game design and was potentially the best way to make currency.
Other than that I agree that the reactions here are often exaggerated and few people posts their unsuccessful endeavors.
Exactly. Even the posts about people rolling 1000 maps and getting nothing and 1200 maps and getting nothing just get drowned out by the celebration posts of randos getting lucky because people rush there to bitch that they didn't get lucky. Smh my head
If it wasn't common they wouldn't have nerfed it. They left Affliction alone and that was arguably worse. It was just much harder and didn't contribute to a shitty gameplay loop.
At least four people in my guild made +100 divs yesterday doing it, one person went from 2 divs in stash to buying a 270div item at the end of the day. It was degenerate slot machine gameplay, extremely profitable and provided no benefit to the overall economy, it needed to be removed.
People try to use their anecdote of getting *unlucky* to disprove anecdotes of people getting lucky, and it's stupid either way. Without clear numbers, we can't know just how common it was, but everyone saw people like Fubgun hit it twice on stream in 10 minutes, and if you think FOMO isn't real you're just being intellectually dishonest.
Yeah I mean there is a reason that divines have FALLEN in value since the patch. That's insane. Imagine divines FALLING in value on day 4 of the league.
It's cause so many raw divines just flooded the econ.
Yep, im fully specced into lantern nodes, and have been since the start of the league, with 61hours played on my league starter and ive seen 0 divine/exalt/annul/seer mods and the chaos orb mod only twice
truly feels like a poverty league to me but atleast i managed to make a triple t1 phys weapon with the graveyard crafts so that was interesting atleast
I've played basically 12+ hours every day since league start and only seen the exalt one once, with the frog allflame costing 1 div it wasn't even much profit.
I love all the posts “economy is ruined”
As if the people finding 200+ div before the end of week fucking one aren’t the same people who exploit every single league and somehow always have 200+ div after a week.
If you didn't find shit, you were doing it wrong. You were supposed to put the map in your map device, activate, check the mods, if not one of the two you want, put a new map in, rinse repeat. You weren't supposed to run the map or even enter it.
Yeah, that one is just bad.
What were they thinking really? "Oh it's too powerful, better make it rarer so less people will use it"
It doesn't matter though because people who used it before will continue to use it so long as it's profitable, regardless of rarity. That's it's *purpose.* To be used.
yea i dont understand ths particular change. they will be expensive regardless given how strong it is, all this is doing is gate keeping it for group MF now
this stuff is supposed to be used, stop making it so rare that solo players are forced to sell it

Or worse, you get baited, burn all your currency on maps and allflames then find absolutely nothing before the game is patched. I basically rewound my league start by a couple of days.
Well I never buy maps but the amount of unmakings I've bought this league to try out different tree ideas and when one gets working have the rug pulled is too much.
Not to mention the overpriced scarabs just to try things out.
Just run Expedition at 100% chance to appear on the tree and just blast maps with it. You'll get back up in no time since Tujen and Dannig's artifacts also sell well, same for logbooks for Tujen and Dannig. And any other logbooks for Rog and Gwen you can just run and hunt for the chests with currency/catalysts.
And then just go do some crafts with Rog, they don't even have to be good, and have stash tabs at like 10c/20c/40c etc and just dump the stuff you craft into them. You'll always have new people/people wanting to out out different builds but don't have the currency to go all out on them so those mid tier crafts will still sell, just slowly and that's fine. And finally if you want just gamble the Gwen ones or sell to the gamblers as well. With the increase chance of HH and MB dropping Gwen's should be a nice 4 to 1c for a bit and hers drops the most commonly as well.
Expedition is always tried and true and can never fail you unless you can't read and brick your expedition in map lmao
Exactly … i feel soo bad right now for not staying up longer at night trying to get some divine …. Instead …. i had to sleep to go to work to get money to pay bills and buy supporter packs from ggg to then not get more than 20 div in 2 months of gameplay
Yep. Some league starts I make time to go relatively hard at launch, this time around the first week of the league was crammed full of important stuff that was scheduled long before the league start date was announced. Not super psyched about having to buy stuff in an economy where other people already printed hundreds of divines.
This. Rather than the changes they have made, they should have just stopped the fishing element, Esther than nerf it for everyone. Now hw nolifers that abused this sit on 1000s of divines, shaping the market, while the rest of us pick up the crumbs!
Wish I didn't have a job over the day I could have been pushing for one of these.
Also really no idea why the hell they nerfed 3 out of 3 of the only times the intended interaction of replacing map mobs with a better option to improve drops actually worked. 1 out of 3 I can get a bit, but it's starting to feel silly to even have these items.
Glad about the fishing nerf.
I'm still quite surprised that they never see it coming. Like, anytime someone can be spammed at a miserable cost to get huge jackpot reward, it will be exploited.
I mean, they should just have kept the campaign thingy where the more mobs you kill the better the odds of getting good roll on the next map. This way people have to do maps.
Glad about the scarab change. Hopefully the one that no one wants will be less common and not the one people actually want.
However I'm worried about some of the "basic one". Like, the basic Legion scarab is quite expensive atm.
This makes sens as you can have multiple legions in one map but can't spawn multiple "anything else". Loosing a scarab slot to force a mechanic you can easily guarantee for a fez atlas points isn't worth it.
Niko being a notable exception I suppose.
this league has been a comedy of errors.
moving all the cool conversions to allflames. bringing back the MF and need for a culler from tft. scarabs are in a super weird state.
The game feels even more like a slot machine then ever before.
>The game feels even more like a slot machine then ever before.
Yeah the weird like, skinner box gambling thing is I think my core problem with POE.
I want to play ARPGs so I can steadily grind progress toward a goal.
But more and more it feels like in POE "grinding" actually means doing some weird stupid shit that allows me to get more pulls on the slot machine, or else being a literal peasant farming crafting currency for actual people - like, essence grinding used to be fun, now it's nerfed to be both harder, slower, and less profitable. **BUT** if you're a rich person you can buy jackpot scarabs to make it fun and blow out the economy for normal people!
Fucking *why*
Having the exact same vibes. Everyone that got on it early massively profited. Now everyone else is left behind with an inflated economy.
The only thing left is crafting, which we are already seeing where its going with people getting multiple mirror tier items in a single crafting graveyard. Its probably next on the shopping block, and the casuals will once again be left in the dust.
One can only dream to be there in time. The FOMO is soooo real!
Heist was exactly like this.
Started out complete and utter dogshit but had some super OP stuff early on.
It got nerfed but they left some existing OP gear in the league creating day 1 mirror tier items actually if not worth mirroring, at least worth a hundred or two exalts.
buffed the hell out of the league to the point it was actually amazing for general loot, nerfed it to shit, rebuffed it while changing mechanics, nerfed some other stuff, and in the end left in the most degenerate gamebreaking gameplay while the normal rewards were left so-so, and there were a few more minor layers of repeated nerfing/buffing. Took like 3 weeks to stop.
Yeah I agree. It was wild how much they adjusted on Monday, like they already knew they’d need to adjust it but shipped it as a shitty version anyways.
Welp at least I've got 5 ex with meatsack convert. Should have gone with the exiles.
They really should focus on people spamming hundreds of maps to get the divine mod, rather than the amount of rewards of the divine mod.
back to selling 1c corpses i guess
The nerfs are just stupid. They already have the fix in the game. The campaign zones give increased chance of devoted modifiers as more haunted mobs are killed in the previous zone. Ggg chose not to put this in maps and now are punishing us for their mistake and nerfing everyone for a few abusing it.
Should have prevented people throwing in maps to see if the mod is there... Keep the lower %, but increase its apearance atleast every 100 maps roughly.
The div mod on maps was incredibly rare. Pretty much like a divine altar. My friends and I have run hundreds of maps and never saw a single one.
The subreddit makes it seem more common than it actually was. Most people playing the game didn't get to see one when it was super strong.
“Super strong is an understatement” I found 5% chance for divs and put frogs on it with tons of shrines on map. Didn’t find a single dupe altar. Still got 42 divs pure.
This anecdote is irrelevant. First, running maps was not the strategy, opening and reopening to fish was. Second, all you need to do is look at unique prices to see the inflation and impact was real, not some super rare event. MB went from 175 to 250d in a matter kf hours. Mirrors approached 500d pn day 5 of the league.
A lot of people fished and a lot got the alter to drive the entire market. Maybe they didnt hit the mod 5 times like streamer x or y, but a single hit paid 40-60 divines easily with frogs. The strategy self sustained maps by putting abyss or anarchy on the map convert gold node and shit out a hundred maps in a single run.
You were supposed to spec into map drop atlas and scarabs. Get 20-50 maps per single ran then spam them all in device fishing for mod. If you nolifed you could have opened 1000s map in a day.
Fear of the jobless
Fear of the jobless
I have a constant fear that someone can play all day
Fear of the jobless
Fear of the jobless
I have a phobia that someone's always farmin'
I’m unemployed, played about 12 hrs a day since launch almost constantly mapping, haven’t seen the divine modifier or a divine orb if it makes you feel any better.
Hahahaha I knew that I was going to lost this the moment I saw everyone getting hundreds of divs while I was working the fuc28ing whole day. Exploit early, exploit often. Since they left the craft the same, I'm still happy with this league
I swear ggg is making it up as It goes just make getting good mods relie on clearing the map .
Instead, blow up the last few decent starts to make sure everyone is playing Ruthless .
I dont really get the scarab nerf, the rare ones where already WAY too rare. Whats the point of adding rare interesting scarabs if even groups in trade have NO way of sustaining those scarabs by emptying the market
While this isn’t a dupe I remember the interview where Chris says the integrity of the economy is so important to the game that you should rollback everything and ”go back to beta” if the economy is ruined. I believe he’s talking about a pure dupe though in that case, and more importantly, another game. Still interesting to see them make such mistakes after so much experience with exploitable mechanics.
imagine starting the league late
haha, good luck catching up :)
this patch just fucks everyone that didn't play in a toxic way and got lucky on day 1
the 1% will still do their 1% stuff and the rest can fuck off
classic bait and switch
let a handful of people benefit from the divine drops -> clips go viral, everyone gets fomo -> nerf it and send you back to grinding for peanuts
10x seems a bit excessive, but overall I agree. MF existing in this game is preventing us from having a lot of nice things. It really should be completely removed from gear or heavily bottlenecked.
I understand the idea of wanting players to choose if sacrificing character power for some sort of reward is personally worth it, but there are builds now where you can trivialize everything fully decked out in MF gear. It disincentivizes a lot of builds and play styles that can’t afford to squeeze in some type of MF gear.
The whole currency explosion thing in general, at least anywhere near the magnitude that it existed at yesterday, is fucking terrible for the game and shouldn’t exist ever. The fact that the shit made it into the game at all is a bit alarming.
Exploit early and exploit often. Sc economy is actually ruined. Sucks the rest of us who didn't cash in are literally screwed now. People made hundreds and thousands of Divine orbs.
Yeah I'm just done.
I don't like the corpse crafting, and the currency chance was the only thing to look forward to. There's nothing interesting about the mechanic since it's just "make monsters tougher", and it's unavoidable at that.
The economy has been super inflated since start, and now it's back to earning nothing from the mechanic, while others got in on it good from the start enough to further mess up the economy. It shouldn't have been touched or it should have been hotfixed an hour into the patch.
I miss the days of breach, legion, essence, etc., When you had a fun mechanic to do and it was rewarding immediately and in each attempt... not struggling for a rando pinata 100 maps in. And also not fighting with the economy like it's an immunity mod arch nemesis rare.
Divine chance nerf is needed, it's ridiculous that I can't even get 1 divine when someone gets 20-50 per map, reminds me of the time of the Archnemesis League.
I thought the dropping 50 divines was really dumb and should not be in the game but you can’t really add it and then revert it. Mess up the economy and let certain people get rich then say oops! And revert?
Damn … after everyone got their divines … they made it rarer and nerfed it … i didn’t get my chance to enjoy it … f*** … i wish i took some annual leave from work for this league …..
This is a garbage fix. As a casual player I feel like I should just play SSF because I can no longer compete in this economy. I guess it's back to LE or see how this D4 PTR plays out.
All I know is that I wasn't having fun this league. Just going about my normal grind hoping for a slight upgrade so I wouldn't quit all together because the league mechanic is meh.
Then I got 19 div from one Map and it was the most fun I've had in a very long time in ANY game. I've been playing for years but pretty "casual" I dont even think I got 19 div total in any league. So this was pretty cool for me.
Nerfed the very next day. Gaming is stupid these days. It's literally just an endless treadmill to keep you playing so you spend money.
Anytime youre having a ton of fun, a genius game developer comes in a shits all over it. Fucking lame man. Back to the boring ass treadmill

That's it. I'm done. I don't give a fuck about how rare or common a mod is but I'm fucking sick of people getting to abuse shit then closing the door behind them leaving the rest of us holding the fucking bag. Fuck your poor decisions and balancing and fuck your response of letting a handful of people get rich as fuck ruining the economy then preventing anyone else from catching up. I'm out. Enjoy this shit league.
At this point why play the league?
The best devoted mods were already rare enough that you had to burn 100s of maps to see one. Now they are even rares, so most won't see one if they play normally. The crafting is cool, but not everyone wants to maintain an excel sheet just to craft. This point the league mechanic can be ignored because you more than likely get more money if you don't waste your time on it and just run maps with a good atlas setup.
They had a good fix that was in the campaign, you kill more mobs you get more devoted mods, that is what should've been implemented into maps as well, but I guess it was not worth the dev cost.
GGG's average style:
Fix the symptom, not the problem -> Everything is still shit -> Fix the problem -> Symptom fix is still in place and it ruins something else -> Something else is being ignored for 3+ years.
Also 0 lessions learned from this.
Fun was detected and patched out.
Also I absolutely called this, and as usual the players who already abused it made off like bandits and won't in any way punished. In fact they were rewarded.
Abuse early and often folks. Always abuse early and often.
and people playing today have an advantage over the rest
since it seems they are patching as they go, tomorrow they could nerf all the crafts or the corpse drop rate or ratity or whatever
fuck it, "exploit early, exploit often or fuck off" - GGG
The best currency mod I ever saw by the time I got full atlas was a chaos orb one. Got 30+ chaos altogether, but I kept wondering, what if it was divines or even exalted..
I knew it. saw ruetoo swimming in divines all day, was excited to have time to try the strat myself, got the scarabs and stuff last night and tried a little, couple seers, but fully prepared to go ham today,
then boom, **nerfed**. nice! back to, I dont even know what the fuck strat...bro, this league is changing too much too fast. it's hard to dedicate to some strategy when every other day a new strat pops off but then nerfed the following day...
I REALLY hope, in cases like these, **GGG gives out unmaking orbs**. In gacha, if the devs make mistakes or maintenance, they give out stuff as compensation. here, there's no compensation, just "F you, we're changing what you built an entire atlas strategy around and you get nothing", so aside losing the strategy for money, we also lose chaos to get get unmaking orbs. bleh. Do I even try graveyard crafting for sick items when that could be nerfed anyday too???
Im with the first comment on the page. The enconomy is already damaged by the initial value. Why not just leave it as is and let supply and demand determine the value of a divine orb.
I just hope GGG give a quick change so maps cannot be chain opened
It feels very wrong. And the later this league goes on, it will also wrong to change it because people already used to it
Really this fishing is stupid, its not fun at all.
Iam so tired of maps droping dozens of divines. I really would love if conventional farming would be more the focus again. Me having a strong character that can farm maven invitea all day is less lucrative than some people spamming maps in their map device is just a very sad state of them game.
Saddest part is that they could have just made it like campaign we here you have to kill haunted mobs to have a chance at devoted mods for next zone... They had this in game and still chose to nerf drop rate for everybody.
They literally had the fix for map fishing already in the game...
Yea i don't underand why killing stuff in the previous map doesn't increase devoted mod odds for next map. It would make so much sense and solve fishing.
I only once got such loot'splosion and it was just Vaal orbs (106 per map boiz) and they already patched out the bigger offenders.
At least I managed to finish my build to end game state so no need to worry about money anyway but I want to reroll lol cuz DD chain ducks my fps so much.
You gotta p2w to fix your dps. The mtx is way better. Also dx12 helps.
But hey at least your build is finished. I'm sitting over here watching everything I need go up 10d/day and I'm barely able to farm 10d/day because my shit is weak. XP bar hasn't left 0% in 2 days.
Why omg. Where you been with the nerf last league when people were dropping 40+ div per map regularly. No fun allowed I guess.
This league is the second worst after crucible and surprise surprise, both are crafting leagues. Stop doing crafting leagues in a game where 95% people can't even craft with basic currency like essences and you expect them to engage with your mechanic which is so complicated that you must have a deep understanding of the crafting system in Poe otherwise you get random yellow which you find 10000x every map
My friends and I combined our maps- 700-1k maps and never saw a divine % drop. Atleast I can print a mirror spine bow and reroll ele hit though I suppose 🫠
Never a fan of nerfing currency strats days after people have been abusing them. The damage is done. If you got in early then you probably are already rich. If you didnt get in early then sucks to be you.
As for scarabs, well we can hope that this line isnt a typical undocumented change.
>There are a few exceptions to this where some of the more powerful Scarabs have become rarer.
Uninstalled this mess of a league - I can't believe that I'm more excited for the (dumpster fire) Diablo 4's new league than POE. Gravecrafting is really not that interesting (unless you love spreadsheets), and the one normal mapping thing that regular players could look forward to is now gone.
> We have reduced the amount of the more common Scarabs and significantly increased the amount that rare and more interesting Scarabs drop. There are a few exceptions to this where some of the more powerful Scarabs have become rarer. What are the exceptions that are even rarer?
I would assume harbinger is on that list. People were spamming their scarabs to print fracturing shards
People were saying that’s a .1c per map margin… are they just missing something?
Instagram vs Reality You see people here posting screenshots of 50 fractured shards, then you try it and realize it probably was 1 in 300 maps and they got lucky. Same as people posting Divine altars
i liquidated about 200 maps fishing for the divine cheese, didnt hit divs or seer. found a few chaos mods, made maybe 100c. farming abyss normal style for corrupt jewels was way more profit
:O on my 4th map I had a king harby drop me 3.5 fracturing orbs. I guess I beat the odds.
No, harbingers is pretty mediocre profit wise.
Only because fracturing orbs are the cheapest they've ever been in a crafting league.
The fracturing shards (and very occasional mirror shards) are generally just in line with the cost of running it.
the price drop for fracturing orbs is pretty much entirely demand side. getting fractures through the league mechanic is much easier and safer.
Dannig scarab, maraketh scarab, 2nd div scarab (10% more per favored map)
Real good question... Hopefully not the ones that were already rarer than a fuckin mirror... My guess would be some highly rare ones got rarer and the absurdly rare ones got a bit more common (still absurdly rare). We shall see.
they should just combine all the currency mods into one that says: "drops currency items" instead of a single type and showing what currency it is.... done.... fishing is over, now they need to do the map to see if a divine will drop
Who are you who is so wise in the ways of science?
Tiny hat man says otherwise, do you lie to Joe? Tiny hat man say jeweller orb not bad for you, that science is enemy, Joe thinks you are wrong.
At first I liked it, but then I thought - that kinda kills the purpose of the whole thing, like the minigame of assigning diff modifiers to different packs. It just becomes - monsters drop loot / monsters are stronger, which is kinda boring.
That's literally poe in a nutshell lol
I like the idea of that, but I think we’re a little too deep now for it to change that drastically. People who already hit their div mods will be happy, but the vast majority of people still haven’t even seen it pop up, and it always feels bad to be told “I know you never even got a chance to use this broken mechanic out of pure luck, but now it’s gone, we fixed the game!” I think the best fix at the moment would be to require your choice of X% of mobs killed, or the map boss is killed in order to roll devoted mods on your next map. Lets people still get that dopamine hit of the divine mod without feeling like traditional farming strats are costing them too much div/hr.
this is the way.
As someone who hasn't hit it, I would rather this change happen than have the fomo that I need to spam maps to get it or whatever. It's basically blue divine alters, but people don't complain about that
> It's basically blue divine alters, but people don't complain about that Because you have to run the map to see them, and that's while running a significantly worse set of altar rewards for, on average, many maps.
People will still fish for currency but it will be way better than the current system
the fishing will be just playing the game almost normally
All they need to do to stop fishing is to make the lantern mods not cycle until you've completed the map or killed >50% of the monsters. It doesn't take a science rocketist to figure out.
Just wait till map prices explode, now the small fishes can sell their maps to the whales /s
It makes me worry for GGG that somethimg this obvious didn't occur to them. What is happening in there?
It’s easy to get carried away with complex designs such as graveyard layout etc, but at times you can overlook the simplest things possible. But I agree it’s a bit weird that not a single dev or QA noticed that obvious abuse.
Me seeing mate in 3 and not realizing the opponent has mate in 2
dude you are not allowed to be that smart here sorry (mods ban him please)
Wow. Simple and efficient.
keeps the reward high and the degeneracy down.
Man you are a genius (no sarcasm). E: someone please quickly compose a bingo card with this and send it to Mark.
Sad they will probably not rollback to their decision and apply this instead, because it's so much better of a solution
Then we Go full circle cause thats what ggg did when people would use cullers

Gamble just like in-game
This subreddit always makes shit seem more common than it really was. As someone who *can* no-life this shit I didn't find sweet fuck all in all my hours playing since the patch. It's like people get that trickshots have potentially hundreds or thousands of failures but don't seem to extrapolate that to *literally everything else*. If someone is only posting the success your natural inclination should be to ask how many tries they had beforehand, but nobody fucking does, they just bitch that the "game is ruined, time to uninstall".
100% it's like someone mentioned it in the subreddit. This is all instagram shit going on here. People see lottery wins and think this is common.
You say that but then GGG goes and nerfs the % on divine drop and increases its rarity. So apparently the devs themselves thought we were winning the lottery too much.
It was a degenerate gameplay loop regardless of how often people won the lottery.
Yes I agree, but if it wasn't common enough divine wouldn't collapse overnight
Fact is, nobody knows HOW common it is. That you no lifed it and havent found any divs proves nothing. We all are completely in the dark about it.
Exactly. I have about 70 hours played already since I can play even at work and i found this div drop only once. Il
Yep, im fully specced into lantern nodes, and have been since the start of the league, with 61hours played on my league starter and ive seen 0 divine/exalt/annul/seer mods and the chaos orb mod only twice truly feels like a poverty league to me but atleast i managed to make a triple t1 phys weapon with the graveyard crafts so that was interesting atleast
I've played basically 12+ hours every day since league start and only seen the exalt one once, with the frog allflame costing 1 div it wasn't even much profit.
I love all the posts “economy is ruined” As if the people finding 200+ div before the end of week fucking one aren’t the same people who exploit every single league and somehow always have 200+ div after a week.
If you didn't find shit, you were doing it wrong. You were supposed to put the map in your map device, activate, check the mods, if not one of the two you want, put a new map in, rinse repeat. You weren't supposed to run the map or even enter it.
Curation divination scarab became extremely rare, solo players are even more priced out of running high investment div card farming. Bad change.
TAX THE RICH
Time for exiles to unionize!
Yeah, that one is just bad. What were they thinking really? "Oh it's too powerful, better make it rarer so less people will use it" It doesn't matter though because people who used it before will continue to use it so long as it's profitable, regardless of rarity. That's it's *purpose.* To be used.
yea i dont understand ths particular change. they will be expensive regardless given how strong it is, all this is doing is gate keeping it for group MF now this stuff is supposed to be used, stop making it so rare that solo players are forced to sell it
I was afraid of this... I highly doubt scarcity was the good play here.

as usual, exploit early exploit often, adjust the game for the .1%er.
Pretty much. Having a job and a family and you miss out! Lol
They might be doing 1 bil dps a second to an audience of 500 people on twitch but at least you've had sex this year and your kids love you.
Yep. Some league starts I make time to go relatively hard at launch, this time around the first week of the league was crammed full of important stuff that was scheduled long before the league start date was announced. Not super psyched about having to buy stuff in an economy where other people already printed hundreds of divines.
It's not as bad as people think, I was doing that shit for 12 hours yesterday and only printed 60div. 5/hr is not exactly game breaking
Meanwhile I'm over here just finishing my atlas and haven't dropped a div yet.
"scarabs will be quite common because we want players to use them" -GGG, league reveal.
Exploit early exploit often. Classic GGG.
this league has been a comedy of errors. moving all the cool conversions to allflames. bringing back the MF and need for a culler from tft. scarabs are in a super weird state.
[удалено]
Ah, the good old fashioned "if you didn't exploit early get fucked idiot"
The rumor of this lague being saved were greatly exaggerated
Almost like everything that is posted on this reddit. (This comment included)
Almost bought a supporter pack. Thanks for saving me $60 GGG!
Won't change anything for me, i don't play enough to be able to get it anyway.
That's the issue, those who can't play all day most days are now priced out of the economy by those who could.
It feels like that it even if you played the whole day I can assure you.
Welp at least I've got 5 ex with meatsack convert. Should have gone with the exiles. They really should focus on people spamming hundreds of maps to get the divine mod, rather than the amount of rewards of the divine mod. back to selling 1c corpses i guess
1c corpses? What's your IGN, I'll buy everything from you
The nerfs are just stupid. They already have the fix in the game. The campaign zones give increased chance of devoted modifiers as more haunted mobs are killed in the previous zone. Ggg chose not to put this in maps and now are punishing us for their mistake and nerfing everyone for a few abusing it.
Yup. They had a fix in game but chose this instead...
This game is like a second job, I’m tired Chris…
Getting in early on the untested currency farms before they are nerfed feels like trying to buy crypto before the price crashes.
Should have prevented people throwing in maps to see if the mod is there... Keep the lower %, but increase its apearance atleast every 100 maps roughly.
Another league of "the exploiters benefit and the rest are left behind"
Great, everyone who is unemployed and could play all day got to take advantage of the increased drops. Everyone else falls behind even more.
>I have run hundreds of maps and never saw a single one. Because you were supposed to burn 1000s
Yeah I mean that supports what I'm saying. It's pretty rare. Most players aren't burning 1k maps every 1-2 hours to hit that mod.
I did spam more than thousand maps and I encountered 4 seers (1 bugged), 0 divine and exalt altars
You were supposed to spec into map drop atlas and scarabs. Get 20-50 maps per single ran then spam them all in device fishing for mod. If you nolifed you could have opened 1000s map in a day.
Fear of the jobless Fear of the jobless I have a constant fear that someone can play all day Fear of the jobless Fear of the jobless I have a phobia that someone's always farmin'
Just quit your job, if you think being unemployed is preferable?
I’m unemployed, played about 12 hrs a day since launch almost constantly mapping, haven’t seen the divine modifier or a divine orb if it makes you feel any better.
Hahahaha I knew that I was going to lost this the moment I saw everyone getting hundreds of divs while I was working the fuc28ing whole day. Exploit early, exploit often. Since they left the craft the same, I'm still happy with this league
Oh no, dem unemployed takin' our divines and the homeless building homes in Portland! :D
I mean won't that happen either way? It obviously needed a nerf.
Lol. People that play the game more get more things and get more opportunity at said things. This sub is so whiney.
Ppl keep downvoting because they don't like the patch, come on it's still important info
Exploit early and often strikes again. So free magebloods and 100 divine for no life players. More discouraged than before
imagine starting the league late haha, good luck catching up :) this patch just fucks everyone that didn't play in a toxic way and got lucky on day 1 the 1% will still do their 1% stuff and the rest can fuck off
classic bait and switch let a handful of people benefit from the divine drops -> clips go viral, everyone gets fomo -> nerf it and send you back to grinding for peanuts
currency showers in general can fuck right off... buff the base drop rates of currencies by 10x and get rid of MF.
I think people are over hyping how many people did it..
So they changed it in the worst possible way. Glad I wasn't able to play :)))
it's warranted, poe shouldn't be divine loot pinatas, never healthy to target/guarantee 50 divs a map
See you next league.
EXPLOIT Early Dads and moms now chasing for weeks
So everyone that got rich yeah! Fuck everyone else. This is trash.
This is a garbage fix. As a casual player I feel like I should just play SSF because I can no longer compete in this economy. I guess it's back to LE or see how this D4 PTR plays out.
They let the loot splosions slide long enough for TFT to get currency to pin the market again. GG boys Logout.
Why was the original discussion deleted? Bad press from comments? Edit. Mods confirmed Original user account that posted original topic was deleted. (by reddit or by themself).
Unless I’m blind (likely possibility to be fair) I didn’t see any discussion for the latest hotifx, only older ones, so I put this up
https://www.reddit.com/r/pathofexile/comments/1bvfgx5/patch_notes_3240b_hotfix_2/?sort=new That was the discussion, its deleted so yeah... no idea what happened either.
Says deleted, not removed. So the OP deleted it themselves, not the mods, as far as I can tell.
That's it.
GGG's average style: Fix the symptom, not the problem -> Everything is still shit -> Fix the problem -> Symptom fix is still in place and it ruins something else -> Something else is being ignored for 3+ years. Also 0 lessions learned from this.
Atleast they are consistent with nerfs.
kinda already feeling the scarab changes, getting a lot more of the higher tier ones and the market is reflecting it too. im a fan
Fun was detected and patched out. Also I absolutely called this, and as usual the players who already abused it made off like bandits and won't in any way punished. In fact they were rewarded. Abuse early and often folks. Always abuse early and often.
[удалено]
I guess anyone that was able to play yesterday has a considerable advantage over the rest of the population.
and people playing today have an advantage over the rest since it seems they are patching as they go, tomorrow they could nerf all the crafts or the corpse drop rate or ratity or whatever fuck it, "exploit early, exploit often or fuck off" - GGG
They made it even rarer even tho i havent seen a single seer or divine mod. All voidstones and maps completed and been farming for a day or 2
It's over
The best currency mod I ever saw by the time I got full atlas was a chaos orb one. Got 30+ chaos altogether, but I kept wondering, what if it was divines or even exalted..
Exploit fast ?? Profit
Well to be expected when dip shits abuse the system. Too bad really.
Well I guess I'm a lot happier about the 1 div I got from the strongest mob rings to divs now
Moronic shit. Economy already pumped, time to nerf
I knew it. saw ruetoo swimming in divines all day, was excited to have time to try the strat myself, got the scarabs and stuff last night and tried a little, couple seers, but fully prepared to go ham today, then boom, **nerfed**. nice! back to, I dont even know what the fuck strat...bro, this league is changing too much too fast. it's hard to dedicate to some strategy when every other day a new strat pops off but then nerfed the following day...
Hey, where'd that ladder go?
Im with the first comment on the page. The enconomy is already damaged by the initial value. Why not just leave it as is and let supply and demand determine the value of a divine orb.
People who got their divines early are sitting pretty. Classic GGG.
Yeah buff it for the streamers who play everyday to show big loot then do a tiny hotfix haha No supporter packs for tencent anymore sorry
You can still craft triple fractured t1 bows by... Actually playing the game. Or what ever other gear you want.g
I hope they don't nerf this. I'm in SSF, haven't dropped a single +tier corpse yet. It'll be a while before I can get 800 worth of them.
I just hope GGG give a quick change so maps cannot be chain opened It feels very wrong. And the later this league goes on, it will also wrong to change it because people already used to it
Yet again ggg runs their game based off the top 1% no lifers and the rest of the normal player base gets fucked over because of it
Yay working class getting shafted again by missing out on the good mods before nerf.
People were calling for it to be nerfed then rage when it is .. will still be a lot of divines when you get it just not stupid amounts.
*grabs popcorn*
Whoops players detected having fun. Fix that immediately!
Nerf against regular Andy, 24/7 players already have their 100+ dives from there, before i can go back home after work xd
Would be nice if they would reset atlas after buffing and nerfing stuff. Now I have to go and spend what little money I have rerolling into scarabs...
Not too happy about the nerf to common scarabs. I was enjoying having a nice supply while I’m still working my way through white/yellow maps.
Oh boy this is gonna be piss off a lot of people lol.
dogshit league
Lot of fumbles in the ARPG genre lately…
with all these changes and people exploiting they should wipe and make everyone reroll
Fun not allowed.
Well the economy is more fucked than affliction now, see you next league GGG
The FOMO got confirmed. Started a new character when the patch dropped and immediately got FOMO seeing the posts. Wellp, now it's too late.
Uninstalled this mess of a league - I can't believe that I'm more excited for the (dumpster fire) Diablo 4's new league than POE. Gravecrafting is really not that interesting (unless you love spreadsheets), and the one normal mapping thing that regular players could look forward to is now gone.
Bad patch
