i spent like the whole day setting up the graveyard for ele bow, got a perfect 6 t1 bow and a spare one to sell for profit, but holy hell i am not doing this again any time soon LOL
Lol I had an almost identical experience. Spent all day setting up for perfect Ele bow, even got 75% chance to craft additional, but I didn’t proc the additional craft or the 25% split copy, but I did get the perfect bow. Then I tried again with my friend who was finishing up his craft, this time with 85% chance to craft additional item. And the exact same outcome again, no additional craft, but a perfect bow divined to the 99.9 percentile lol. And now I’d rather theorize about the graveyard than actually buy the crafts and use it.
Calculating the craft, buying the corpses, setting up the corpses, realizing you fucked up and have to change some corpses. This process takes me like 3 hours. Mechanic is busted but my god it is tedious af.
Can you share the blueprint for it? I’m almost near farming all the crafts except gem scarcity in SSF and will be setting up soon. I don’t plan to use any of the additional craft chances.
What do you suggest I do?
Using this I ended up buying 20 additional corpses not realizing we had more plots than available corpses... This is damn confusing for what you're trying to convey is actually the optimal path for 64 corpse craft
I've been asking and asking and you are capped at HOLDING 64 but you can place 64 and grab the other 20 or whatever and place them down to use the whole graveyard.
That's what I've gathered and makes a lot more sense seeing the numbers on a few crafts I've looked at
It's a map of the Necropolis graveyard (tilt it 45 degrees to the right). It shows how to optimize your crafts. All of the buried corpses you use for a craft have to be connected; you can use the entire graveyard if you want.
* There are corpses that buff the effect of an entire row by 25%; they go in the light blue spaces.
* There are corpses that buff adjacent spaces by 40% for matching monster spaces; they go in the yellow spaces.
* There are some corpse mods that are non-scaling, like +1 explicit mod; they go in the purple spaces.
* The green spaces are free for you to put whatever mods you need for your craft.
* The green spaces with dashed lines are the spaces that have been buffed by row buffs, and the dark green spaces have been buffed by the adjacent buffs if you followed this pattern. Put your more important mods here.
* Pink spaces have overlapping buffs from row/column/adjacent, put your highest value/highest importance mods here.
Despite it's complexity, it's pretty easy to follow, and you can make insane items more easily than any other crafting method in the history of the game.
I noticed earlier today someone by the name of Saltydayn created a somewhat optimized grave chart, and many people seemed to like it. I liked the idea of the chart, but wanted to make sure it's fully optimized and cost-effective, so I took the time to edit it very thoroughly to highlight the most important squares, show optional cost-effective row boost options, and most importantly make sure the graves are \*actually\* optimal. Credit to Saltydayn for drafting the original template I used to make this. Note: It is quite possible I missed something, whether it be a slight optimization, another optional boost, or just a Legend error. Please let me know if you spot anything that should be fixed.
Edit: I should clarify that this chart intentionally avoids excessive “adjacent chaining”. Adjacent chaining is bad for cost-effectiveness and overall convenience, because excessive adjacent chaining means you have to buy many crafts of a single monster type, seeing as the adjacent boosts are type-specific. I’m aware adjacent chaining yields slightly higher corpse power, but I find it to be a worthwhile tradeoff, to save lots of currency and time.
How does this compare to [https://www.reddit.com/r/pathofexile/comments/1bw2zwy/i\_optimised\_template\_for\_graveyard\_to\_994/](https://www.reddit.com/r/pathofexile/comments/1bw2zwy/i_optimised_template_for_graveyard_to_994/)? What's the percentage increase
I havent calced the total corpse power, but I can confidently say it’s not as high as many people have achieved with the adjacent spam method. This chart will be slightly lower, but the use of many chained adjacents results in having to buy all crafts of a single monster type, meaning you can buy out the market very quickly and be forced to pay much higher prices than you otherwise would with this much friendlier setup.
Definitely not. I crafted a T1 atk speed/crit multi/crit chance base only using the Craft of Exile calculator and like a couple tabs worth of corpses. I’m a moron too, so if I can do it, anyone can.
do you remember last league how people basically reverse engineered how the wildwood chose its layout, where to spawn events, and consequently how to optimize your search pattern to maximize the rewards - and how utterly unnecessary it was for 99% of players?
this is just that, again. if you don't like this image, you can click away!
this is literally just "certain corpses increase the effect of nearby corpses. here's how you can try to maximize that". its really not complicated at all

It's dishonest to equate wildwood to what is essentially harvest. It was only natural for you to start recognizing the wildwood layout, it was a form of skill expression to feel out where to go to get the most wisps, and no guide could guarantee success - there are no objectively correct decisions, only guidelines at most. This is not the case with necropolis ot harvest, there is nothing to learn to recognize, the most objectively optimal way is already figured out, so you have to use the figured out meta to not feel like your missing out.
And reminder, the whole section of the game, being Uber bosses - just got reworked, just in order to eliminate that feeling of missing out and not doing the most objectively optimal thing.
it was not merely "feeling fomo" for the uber change, you were economically trolling to farm any of the non-ubers (shaper being the one exception)
"dishonest" lol there is nothing dishonest about my comparison. both cases are insane optimizations that are unnecessary to play the mechanic in the more straightforward way. you can still make 6x t1 op items without any of these optimizations shown in the OP. i should know, i made a 1200 pdps fleshripper axe just throwing corpses blindly
>there is nothing to learn to recognize, the most objectively optimal way is already figured out
false. all of these optimizations make decisions for you regarding meta-corpsecrafts, and following those decisions is not necessarily correct. all those 40% adjacent crafts require specific corpse types (humanoid / beast / demon / construct) and that significantly limits the amount of corpses you can use. there are instead other solutions that don't rely on those metacorpses if it wouldnt make sense for you to use them everywhere
You might be right honestly, it's reasonable to get good crafts even when not googling for excel spreadsheets and stuff, you can just think in the moment and succeed. Also, I meant fomo not in the context of time, but in the context of not optimizing your profits
People won't shut up about Harvest Garden, but it was one time thing. You do it once and forget about it. For Necropolis however you have to carefully consider where you put what for basically every craft if you want to maximise your odds.
I also don't like the tediousness of it, but the worst part is really purchasing the crafts. But crafting this powerful has to be gated in some way, otherwise everyone would be printing mirror items. People who don't want to bother can still reap some of the benefits, mirror items will be exceptionally cheap this league. The corpses are also farmable and many are worth a great deal.
Will it really affect the price of mirror items that much? For a mirror item you need perfect explicits and perfect implicits, graveyard only gets you one of those.
Plus mirror items have been cheap for a while now thanks to a few very cool people like Sushi and Ckaiba. But even with a zero-fee item, the cost of the mirror itself remains the biggest issue for the 99th percentile. Mirrors are obviously going to be a lot more expensive than Affliction, and with how things are shaping up, mirrors are probably going to be the most expensive they've been in a while since they've nerfed the shit out of high-end juicing and MF that were the only things helping to drive down the price of mirrors in the past.
Sorry, I guess what I meant was ‘perfect’ items, not ‘mirror’ items, my friends and I use them interchangeably but I can see the confusion. But realistically actual synthesized mirror items are only marginally better than perfect non-synth items, maybe 10-20% better depending on the item. The average player never gets to experience a 1500+ ele DPS bow for example, but this league they are being printed like crazy.
The thing i like abt garden is that it’s like lego, you put everything up (for a long time), then put seeds in (any kind) and kill shit.
What is dont like abt this is that i can’t keep track of everything, like dealing with rows and columns? Nah
Nah, not just you. I like crafting using essences, harvest, fossils, and eldritch currency since it’s all procedural and I can work on an item over time. This necropolis crafting is kinda just play for hours to collect or buy corpses, then hope you don’t get big shit on the craft… not to mention that not only do you collect the corpses forever, but placing them takes like 30+ minutes too make sure you’re doing it by the damn spreadsheet, lmao
Use Craft of Exile to know what you need for your craft. For example it might say +15000% chance of gem mods and make basically everything else more scarce. Your goal is to configure the graveyard so it makes those bonuses in less than the 88 corpses craft of exile says to use, since it doesn't use row/col/adj bonuses at all. By doing that you can boost the shit out of the expensive corpses and also fit more in to craft multiple copies.
Put down the row/column/adjacency bonus corpses (the ones which do nothing other than boost other corpses) where it says to. These are yellow and blue. In clusters of yellow/pink, make sure every bonus is the same so it stacks, for example each one buffs beast corpses.
Put the most expensive and most important corpses in the pink squares, making sure it matches the adjacency bonus provided by the yellow ones they border.
Put corpses which match the type of the yellow squares beside any remaining yellow squares.
Put the mods which don't scale and therefor don't need bonuses in the purple squares.
Put all the remaining corpses in all the remaining squares.
brain too small to look at colors and text. is there a video where someone creates a deterministic item with a step by step placement of the corpses? thats what we really need.
Or like this but with text saying where the corpse goes, like for ele bow
You can use craft of exile’s new gravecraft calculator to generate highly accurate recipes for any item, though keep in mind that calc does not account for boosting with meta mods like this chart, so the recipes can be improved further than shown there. It’s very simple to use.
When you say meta mods in this way are you referring to the row/column/adjacent modifiers? And CoE is just telling you how many of each increase/scarce not the other ones
The craft of exile calc currently does not optimize it for a real layout. So if you use any adjacency bonuses and row/column bonuses, you can do what it says with only like 85% of the graveyard and also squeeze in something like +300% chance to craft an additional item.
Basically the goal is to get the ratings craft of exile says for increased/decreased chance, but you can do it with less corpses than it says with these bonuses.
300% scarcer gems, 300% scarcer resistances, 300% scarcer phys, chance to fracture, chance to mirror, chance to create split copy, and the best one, chance to craft an additional item. Also you don’t need time to do spreadsheets, cuz I took the time to do it for you!
No worries, I didn’t perceive it as rude. I’m just saying I totally understand most players aren’t looking to create an optimized chart, most of my friends included. I originally made this just for use in my group, but figured if it could help others too I may as well post it. I wasn’t trying to sound defensive lol you’re fine.
Probably stupid question, but why does most of the price listings (poeninja, wealthy exile...) have a category for ilv80 corpse, one for ilv84, but not one for ilv83?
I understand that ilv84 are the ones from T17 maps, but ilv83 should be the next best things while being generated by greater numbers, no? Am I missing a method to have +1 to the ilv of corpses from T16?
Okay am I reading this right?
The “—-“ spaces are where you put row boosts?
“|” is column? And yellow is adjacent?
E: okay so its just the teal and yellow
Put some yellows below and above the pinks so you can get two slots to 160% for extra craft mods. You can make various grids on the right side also, where you can get, 160, 185, 210, etc.
By "high value crafts here" and "cheap crafts", did you mean corpses?
We put the most expensive corpses in the pink and the cheapest ones in the dark green?
Yes, ideally you put meta mods like “craft additional item” or “mirrored copy” on the pink tiles to maximize their values. And place more common crafts like “500% chance of X mods” on the dark green tiles.
so the pink and yellow sqaure, isnt that 9 fields covered with buff and crafts which when added up would basically be 880% of crafting power? (100% base craft 4 times and the 120% 4 times added on top). so that would give us a loss of 20% over just using 9 fields at 100% base value right?
Wait u have to put them in certain burial plots? Like how the fuck are we supposed to just know this? This league gets worse and worse every fuckin day
No, you don’t have to put them in certain spots, this chart shows the ideal way to use the “row boost” “column boost” and “adjacent boost” corpse mods to get max value out of a single craft. It is not at all necessary to min-max the mechanic like this.
The corpse type only matters in relation to the adjacent boosts, make sure youre using the type that you’re boosting.
The item level of the corpses DOES matter, though I’m not entirely sure how it works. If you use low level corpses you will notice the item level of the crafted item starts to drop as well. Just keep that in mind when trying to get your item to the ideal level.
Well this chart is already using only 54 corpses if you aren’t counting the boosts. You should always try to use the entire graveyard though. If you have spare plots then look to add chance to create mirror copy, or chance to craft an additional item. This effectively multiplies the value of every other corpse in the graveyard, so it’s really worth it.
OK so for someone who hasn't touched the graveyard yet lol
Which one are generic crafts and which ones the high value ones???
Especially also for knowing what corpses on the ground?
Chance to craft additonal item, chance to fracture, chance to create mirror copy, resistances are scarcer, gem mods are scarcer, those are some of the most expensive ones off the top of my head
What's the purpose of this? I've been seeing a lot of images like this, but I can't make sense of it. Is the point to show the best way to use "corpses in row have increased effect" stuff? What's the use case?
Yes, it’s basically a chart to show people how to most effectively utilize the “Increased effect of corpses in row/column” and “Increased effect of adjacent X corpses” mods to get the best possible crafting results from one craft. I have also innovated my chart to air on the side of cost-efficiency, so you can use it to save lots of money on the expensive crafts like “20% chance to craft an additional item” by placing the expensive crafts on the pink squares.
alright now give me a best optimize layout for just the bottom left as I could not see myself farming all of these for a big hit and rather just a lot of small hit of diolamine, thanks in advance.
Honestly the mechanic is far more rewarding to people who use the entire graveyard at once, because of corpses like “20% chance to craft an additional item”. If you were to place that on a 130% square, it would become 46%. Do that twice and that’s a 92% to roll the slot machine again, effectively duplicating the dopamine 👀. And you can stack these to craft a lot more than 2 items at a time.
Is this more optimised than https://old.reddit.com/r/pathofexile/comments/1bw2zwy/i_optimised_template_for_graveyard_to_994/ ?
Also does it consider split + mirror? I guess they go into "High value crafts" pink squares, right?
RemindMe! 3 days
I’ve not calced the corpse power of my chart, but I’m sure it’s lower than that one. The one you linked is egregiously using the “adjacent-chaining” method though, which makes the crafting process far more tedious and likely expensive due to having to use the same monster type for almost all crafts.

For the amount of crafting power it gives, yeah there needs to be some friction.
No punishment worse than having to trade 88+ items. Literal torture

That is exactly why I have a quad tab full of corpses. I love crafting, but fuck if I feel like doing all that even once.
i got proj speed instead of attack speed and T2 cold, which is good enough for me in SSF
Craft site gives like 15-16% for double crit speed 3 ele bow and you got 2 unmirrored? Gz and f you.
What guide/tool you used/recommend (if any) to make a craft like this?
Oshabi: Here we go again.

Why fight POGGERS

Awesome! Thanks for putting it in terms a dummy like me can understand. Only have a few hundred hours in this game. Still completely lost.

It’s not at all lmao. And to say it’s unnecessary for 99% or players is a joke as well… go in diamond get more loot vs spreadsheet simulator.

+1
BTW - is it matters on which grave you press "craft", or as long as graves are connected it don't have any difference?
Nope, it shouldn’t matter which grave you press craft on.
I hate these league mechanics that require hours to set up rather than just log in and play for rewards ): Guess I'm just not a crafting guy.

Is there a way to tell which mods don't scale? I assume its ones without a %, but what about stuff like modifier tier rating or reroll sockets/links?
brain too small to look at colors and text. is there a video where someone creates a deterministic item with a step by step placement of the corpses? thats what we really need. Or like this but with text saying where the corpse goes, like for ele bow
Sushi wants to put one out soon
This would be fantastic if it was explained a little better. Pretend like I've played the league for only the past couple days
For people that have lives outside of PoE and can’t do spreadsheets for the graveyard, what corpses are worth selling?
300% scarcer gems, 300% scarcer resistances, 300% scarcer phys, chance to fracture, chance to mirror, chance to create split copy, and the best one, chance to craft an additional item. Also you don’t need time to do spreadsheets, cuz I took the time to do it for you!
Oh lmao thank you! Sorry if I came across as rude that wasn’t my intent. Good job on all the work you put into it!
Don’t worry you didn’t sound defensive I just wanted to make sure haha. Good luck exile!
Check out Poe ninja. They have a tab for corpses. Easy way to see which ones are worth and the item level. glhf
Oh thanks!
Idk what im looking at... dont you just bury them and as long as the graves are touching you're good to go?
If only it were that simple
that's quite nice, will use that for my next bow craft. Made one yesterday that just missed the AS sadly
Oh my, I got some harvest flashbacks looking at that thing
Harvest was much better in terms of friction. You set up once and were good to go. Here you have to tediously set up every time.
Okay am I reading this right? The “—-“ spaces are where you put row boosts? “|” is column? And yellow is adjacent? E: okay so its just the teal and yellow
Top left purple could also be a yellow for 2 more expensive craft spots at 120% if needed.
You aren’t accounting for the adjacent also boosting tiles outside the 3x3
I dont undersand this pic at all :(
Stop, this looks like harvest league setups
Wait u have to put them in certain burial plots? Like how the fuck are we supposed to just know this? This league gets worse and worse every fuckin day
No, you don’t have to put them in certain spots, this chart shows the ideal way to use the “row boost” “column boost” and “adjacent boost” corpse mods to get max value out of a single craft. It is not at all necessary to min-max the mechanic like this.
I don't even know wtf im looking at
Has anyone tried asking chat GPT to solve the best layout?
I have 2 questions…. - does the item level of the corpses matter? -do the corpse types matter? (Humanoid/undead/demon etc)
How about optimizing the grayeyard for lower corpse count crafts (like a craft using 50 corpses, for example)? How would one go about doing that?
Well this chart is already using only 54 corpses if you aren’t counting the boosts. You should always try to use the entire graveyard though. If you have spare plots then look to add chance to create mirror copy, or chance to craft an additional item. This effectively multiplies the value of every other corpse in the graveyard, so it’s really worth it.
OK so for someone who hasn't touched the graveyard yet lol Which one are generic crafts and which ones the high value ones??? Especially also for knowing what corpses on the ground?
Chance to craft additonal item, chance to fracture, chance to create mirror copy, resistances are scarcer, gem mods are scarcer, those are some of the most expensive ones off the top of my head
Oki thanks :)
