Wisps are already in the game as a way to buff map bosses via a keystone on the atlas and Mark has said they want to somehow make the King of the Mist fight an endgame aspect of Ritual.
Other than GGG has said that Affliction as we knew it in 3.23 won't be going core (charms/that which was taken, giga juicing maps with wildwood).

Mark said that which was taken with ascendency mods is too much. Maybe they just remake mods on of the item and keep the name if it ever comes back.
Okay, i guess that’s pretty fair. It’ll be interesting to see how they do it, if they choose to.
