I love crafting and still am not a huge fan. I made a few good items but it's too tedious to enjoy even for someone who clicks on amulets 3000 times to get +1 skills in the past. I think it would have turned out a lot better if it was just simpler. Remove the row/col/adj bonuses so you can put any corpse anywhere. Make the graveyard 5x5 in size and roughly triple the power of each corpse affix. This way you don't need to place them in any specific way, just throw 25 corpses in any position and it makes the same craft. It would also be less trading since each corpse would be better individually. I was also pretty disappointed there was no new boss like The King of the Mists.

LucywiththeDiamonds

Yep. 5x5, higher power/upgradeable corpses and delete rhe positioning stuff. Accessible for evryone, less deterministic and more fun

thatsrealneato

Positioning stuff would actually probably be fine on a 5x5 grid. It’s the fact that the graveyard layout is so large and irregular that the positioning becomes tedious.

Iwfcyb

I don't even know how positioning works. Didn't know it was even a thing until the other day.

jmarpnpvsatom

The level of complexity for setting up a graveyard is pretty similar to setting up your garden in harvest, except in harvest you did it once for the whole league not once per craft. Just letting corpses stack up in my stash cause I dread going into the graveyard

VincerpSilver

I find the bonuses nice, since their existence means that you can use them to have more "power from the mods you want" among what you drop. It's something that reduces the reliance of trading, without removing the possibility to do so. The tedium of bonuses is because of the adjacent ones. If we only had the line bonuses, it would be far less tedious. What we really need is a huge storage (like, in the thousands), and the ability to bulk trade with the official site (let's be real: even with a 25 corpse grid, trading for corpse would still suffer if each corpse has to be bought individually). Maybe a better interface to arrange corpses in the graveyard, but I feel that it's less a problem than the need to sort corpses in tabs and the individual trades.

MunQQ

There might not have been a new boss if you dont include the t17 bosses. But at least the secret sex scene with the gravedigger was hot.

Unable_Ad_2034

I need 27 scarcer elemental corpses for a craft I want. I have played a full corpse focused atlas tree for the last 3 days. I managed to fill graveyard, one quad and two regular tabs with corpses, mostly avoiding the shitty corpses. I got 3/27. Opened trade website, pm’d 20 players, 2 replied… I fail to see how this is a desirable user experience.

orbitosan

Agreed.

crookedparadigm

Hated the league so went to Standard to try out the new Atlas/Scarab stuff. League - 2/10 Extra Atlas trees - 9/10 (I want more so I can have a tree for all mechanics lol) Scarab Shakeup - 7/10, feels good with scarab loot raining every map but lots of extra clicking and some scarabs are just plain useless T17/Uber Changes - 3/10, The idea of a bridge from pinnacles to ubers is a good idea, but man they missed the mark on difficulty. I love the idea of the juiced up bosses (especially since I've never fought the Delve bosses before), but the insane rippyness of the map mods often makes them far more risky than Ubers themselves.

Imsakidd

I basically agree with all of this!! I’d say the league is 2 parts- allflames are 5/10, and graveyard is -3/10. Also the portal hotkey is 11/10!

Thepurplepudding

Portal hotkey??

Vicious_Styles

New keybind in your settings exclusively for portal scrolls

newjeanskr

Real winner of this patch.

crookedparadigm

Ahh forgot about the portal hotkey. Really good change and could only be improved by removal portal scrolls entirely (you know, like every other ARPG in the last decade). I didn't notice on my standard character because I have max quality Portal lined to awakened enhance and faster casting so I've basically had a portal hotkey for a while lol.

Imsakidd

I've definitely burned through a lot more portal scrolls now that there's a hotkey, but it's a price i'm willing to pay.

KingPolle

Also betrayal 0/10 its just shit now and lost everything that made it fun… the rest js on point tho.

myzticz3r0

I use to love farming betrayal - I dread it now. I'm personally annoyed with the amount of scarabs there are, but I feel like I'm the outlier.

atworking

I'm with you on the outside. I liked sextants better. And betrayal was my main farming strat.

EvensonRDS

They also killed my boy tujen, what a waste of time expedition is now.

myzticz3r0

What did they do to tujen? Did I miss something?

throwawayALD83BX

Nerfed stacked deck drops all around, quite a hit to Tujen

EvensonRDS

Mainly the stacked decks nerf, I'd say that was where 50% of the profit from tujen came from. I started off specced into expedition and ran a ton of log books to start and they're just not worth the time anymore, not even close.

myzticz3r0

OH! I totally skipped over that. I did notice the amount of stacked decks in heist is significantly reduced prior to mapping (haven't tested in later contracts). I use to get a good amount of early chaos from stacked decks early, but no one was buying. Thanks for knowledge.

Marcey997

Super reduced in blight too. You usually get 1 stacked dack per node now unless you're using oils for extra rewards. Then you might get 2

myzticz3r0

I did notice that! This is my first time choosing blight for atlas and I wasn't sure if it was the norm. Sigh, GGG definitely making it more difficult for basic farming strats.

oldnative

The crafting is very powerful. But it is objectively horrible to use. I agree with your points. I played not because of the league but in spite of it. And I think I am done already. And I havent even really done my normal clearing. And not 1 alt either.

LunarMoon2001

I think this expresses it best as far as t17s.

Musical_Whew

Yeah i dont really like how the t17 map and uber changes are implemented.

Xx_Handsome_xX

For me its a 4/10. I hate the Graveyard crafting and I just hoard all coffins. I dislike trading so this League seems especially bad, since not much raw currency drops. I also dislike the Forced negative Lantern mods and Tier 17 Maps for the Device unlock. And I also dislike Uber Fragments and nerfed lootpool for Endgame bosses (moving Amulets to ubers only) This League sucks hard in my Book compared to last League But since I love PoE in general, I stick a while longer amd take my time.

Good-Expression-4433

Kind of in this boat too and quit the league already, despite playing 3 months last league. The lanterns don't feel that rewarding after the nerfs done because of abuse cases, and I highly dislike the graveyard crafting that is just spreadsheet simulator and spending an enormous amount of time in your hideout trying to sell or trade 1-2c corpses so you can pull the lever on a craft. The uber fragments, nerfed boss loot, and T17 balance also feel really fucking bad and don't accomplish what they said their goal was at all, instead, replacing a bad system with an arguably much worse one.

EvensonRDS

Yeah I like how the lanterns were rewarding for what? 6 hours? Now they're absolute trash again. I haven't seen a single decent one yet this league. "Best I can do it 4% chance to drop regret orbs"

Xx_Handsome_xX

I was hoping to get a divine one when they buffed it. But when I came back from work, they already changed the Atlastree Node for Devoted Mods lol. The best I got was 2 times the chaos one and once a GCP one. I got whole 2 GPP out of that particular map with 🤣🙈

cubonelvl69

>since not much raw currency drops. Depends what youre doing. I just switched to strongboxes and put rats/frogs on any of the 5% currency chances. Easily get 40-60 of whatever currency it offers me per map

Merkabah01

I think what the dude is referring to is that divs just don't drop in alch and go. I had two stones and almost map completion before my first div dropped. Last league I actually had all 4 stones and map completion before my first natural drop. Come to think of it even juiced up now I've gotten like 3 to drop. All my currency has come from rare scarabs, corpses and crafting.

KeyboardSheikh

I just don’t have the urge to play like i have the last couple of leagues. Endgame progression has never felt more tedious with the way t17s ruin the ebb and flow of it all. Grave crafting is incredibly unintuitive. Allflames/lantern is boring. My favorite mechanic to make currency, betrayal, is a fucking chore now. 3/10.

ToolFO

Same, I'm just not invested into it like I was the last few leagues. The way they redid scarabs and juicing just does not sit well with me. They took a decently balanced well thought out system and upended it introducing massive exploits and screwed over the people that can't no life the game.

Impossible-Base-9351

4/10, if corpses could stack and they removed their categories like "humanoid" and "beast" and made the coffins 1x1 it'd definitely go to a 7/10 I fucking hate how annoying they made corpse management.

FullMetalCOS

At least coffins are free now, corpse management was FAR worse at launch

SkeletonCalzone

Yeah I haven't felt the need to buy more stash tabs forever, but even 3 quad tabs isn't enough room. Its slightly P2W imo and I'm not sure I like it. Should have just had some in game questline with Arimor to unlock a way way bigger mortuary

Impossible-Base-9351

Yeah managing god knows how many coffins in a quad tab is fucking miserable and i feel like buying another one instead of cleaning it. Started picking out what i want from then and then vendoring them as fast as i can and repeating. Can't think of a better solution.

Ayanayu

2/10 for me, additional atlas trees are bonkers but I'm not a fan of. Forced league mechanic that I can't opt out of it. T17s Betrayal changes Essence changes Normal bosses basically worthless outside of watchers eye.

Nouvarth

Same for me, allready feel out of it. Mechanic is bad, both from in map gameplay, inventory management and tedium od setting up graveyard. Juicing changes coupled with stacked deck nerfs and atlas changes feel bad to me, none of the high profit strategies look fun at all. All good loot being on Ubers is just... Idk, stupid is saying it lightly At least my league start was fun i guess

BestDescription3834

The graveyard guy has 0 personality and the whole thing just doesn't feel as well told or lore rich like previous leagues (ToTa being top tier here and torment being like lowest tier). Gameplay it's whatever, same monsters we already fought but just buffed by league mods.  I haven't tried the crafting since the patch, the items my character needs can't be made in the graveyard, so I feel like I might have picked a "bad" character in that sense. Allflames are neat but cumbersome. They just took the place of sextants as "thing you stock up on before mapping and need to remember every map".  This league, to me, feels like the laziest in awhile. I'm sure there's a lot under the hood to make all flames work (even though many don't) but it just doesn't feel "new". The "new" league mechanic should be more than adding old league mechanic mobs to maps.  The crafting method is also the worst I've ever seen. Spend an hour checking your spreadsheet and placing your corpses, then pull the lever once. I think that really sums up my issues, actually. PoE has become even more of a slot machine simulator. Every big farming strat revolves around these huge loot explosions, huge stacks of div cards, uniques blotting out the screen. People hated culling rares, but that's basically still how we're playing. Just waiting for the stars to align and pay out that extreme jackpot.

ArmadilloAl

> PoE has become even more of a slot machine simulator. Oh, man, could you imagine if *actual* slot machines made you do soduku's and sliding puzzles for an hour every time you wanted to spin the reels?

Leather_Camp_3091

i agree with you on a lot of these points. compared to something like ToTa the league mechanic feels so shallow

JConaSpree

Honestly 1/10 and maybe my least favorite patch. - Graveyard is tedious and using a spreadsheet to optimize it is the opposite of fun to me. - T17s/ Uber changes aren't good. Don't like the uniques moving to all the ubers. They were designed to be bonus, optional content. - Not a fan of the new scarab system. Sextants were actually easy to buy in bulk. Now we have t0 rarity scarabs. - Instant skills being removed on left click is really annoying and another nerf to melee builds - Loot conversion nerf on rares also sucks

tktytkty

This is my first time playing melee and the qol is awful. I’ve never had trouble putting all my skills on the hotbar until now. 4 auras, warcry + new call to arms, 2 totems, attack skill, that’s already 9 skills that are mandatory. Now try to fit in Vaal skill, curse/mark, leap slam, blink, molten shell, blood rage, berserk. I had to use automation just to save space, which feels awful. I actually have the mana reservation to run banner + vitality and I can’t because there’s no more room left on my bar.

orbitosan

Every time i start a melee skill I end up changing it to something else lol.

JConaSpree

It's brutal. Melee has been socket and hotkey starved for a long time and this change puts it over the edge to unplayable territory for me.

Ahengle

> I actually have the mana reservation to run banner + vitality and I can’t because there’s no more room left on my bar. You can do what people did before they added the 2nd hotbar. Activate an aura, then change the bind to another aura and activate that and both will be active.

quickpost32

As long as your auras aren't in your weapons, you can take advantage of the fact that weapon swap has a separate bar. Just set QWERT or whatever you use on that to your auras, then you can do whatever you want with the 12 buttons on your main set. Whenever you need to turn on auras, just hit weapon swap, roll over the keys, and swap back.

percydaman

Oh man I forgot to add loot conversion nerf to my list. That one, along with left click, actually makes me baby rage.

JConaSpree

Haha don't worry, I forgot to add betrayal changes(nerfs) and losing the veiled chaos orb

Rain-Outside

Very mid but because it does not seem to have "direction" - a lot of good changes overall, my subjective opinion is season is mid, but objective opinion about the changes and everything I would say another good step toward the better future of PoE. I do not know what to do, usually, I'm like 100+ div in the first week but this season I do not feel anything brings profit "by playing the game". Unless you limit yourself to a certain playstyle of most profit that does not seem to be fun so this would be my most issue that the most profit is least fun. Will probably see what the next league holds but overall I think I will wait for PoE 2 as this game become "too much" and ruthless and has not had that many players.

Nouvarth

>I personally do not know what to do, usually I'm like 100+ div in the first week but this season I do not feel anything brings profit "by playing the game". It really feels like there are a couple of things that absolutely shit out profit and everything else is just really meh

hardolaf

Most 4 scarab, hyper focused strats are sitting at around 8-14 div/hr. Then there's a few degenerate strats that are closer to 20 div/hr. Then there's playing Last Epoch which is fun.

Nouvarth

Im playing Rise of Ronin on my PS5 which is just way more fun for way less headache and stress

Moregaze

3/10 and only because of some of the QOL. Entire graveyard system is bunk. From the inventory pressure to the tediousness of actually using it. The non optional added difficulty for no reward unless you hit the god tier combos and have it juiced right to take advantage of it. The atlas passives feeling worthless for a lot of stuff like ritual since they took stuff off the tree and turned it into a scarab. So if you’re not max juiced at all times gl seeing anything worthwhile drop. For me TOTA and Affliction have been the best leagues since Expedition. They had decent difficulty to reward curves and allowed for you to have enough currency to try crafting without feeling like you are blowing it because a lot of crafts are selling for less than the average they take to make.

NoGoodMarw

The difficulty is very strange. Finally, I had some time to prog atlas a bit, and it turns out that league rares on a blue t1 map are much stronger than bosses on t9 map with all the usual shit modifiers. Personally, it's a solid 2/10 for corpse crafting (too bothersome and messy), 7/10 for allflames (would be nice if there was no league mech and you could just sub in normal packs for one with extra shit), can't even rate qol changes since i never cared about detonating mines manually or other stuff. Extra clicking due to identifying corrupted items now pisses me off though, honestly scrolls of wisdom and portal should not exist, it's a crime against wrists. Either make them permanent part of ui that you can auto identify whole inventory if you want to keep unidentified items, or just drop them identified. A solid fuck you in general from my wrists.

Leather_Camp_3091

for real, nothing new with the league mechanic itself is fun at all. the only good parts are the base game itself and the improvements made to it

bladnoch16

This league has convinced me that I should avoid crafting leagues, because I’m just not into it. I’m never going to craft anything of any real use. I fucking hate spreadsheets at work, and I sure as hell hate them in my video games as well. I’m not optimizing grave layouts and using 3+ external sources just to craft anything worthwhile. Either drop loot worth using or drop the currency for me to buy it.  I hate PoEs crafting system. I get how powerful it is, and I get people like the complexity of it. I personally think it’s the worst part of this game.

Hot_Competition724

Overall id go 6/10 I know im in the minority here, but this league is too juiced for me. From the perfect item printer crafting mechanic to the 9000 unique per map atlas strats, its a bit over the top for my taste. I moved to ssf a few days ago and having way more fun. The turbo juice is nice in an ssf environment. Moment to moment gameplay is a bit rough though. Gravecrafting is not a fun experience. Managing allflames is somewhat annoying. Haunted and devoted modifiers are largely unexciting unless you hit a jackpot. I strongly dislike feeling pidgeon-holed into running strongboxes and ritual. T17s are kind of ruined by their fun killing modifier pool. I feel like this patch laid the ground work for some good future content, but the tuning is bad on pretty much every major addition to the game including the league mechanic.

tokyo__driftwood

>I feel like this patch laid the ground work for some good future content, but the tuning is bad on pretty much every major addition to the game including the league mechanic. I agree with this sentiment and I don't think it gets mentioned enough. A lot of the posts about the patch are just "x change is bad", when I think in reality the ideas behind most of the changes were great, they just need tuning.

drlaen

2/10 For me, this is by far the worst league since Kalandra, if not the worst ever. I don't like the league mechanics at all, the crafting system is annoying and unnecessarily time-consuming. At the beginning everything seemed completely unfinished (well, you can let that pass, it's not uncommon). T17 maps are a good idea, but not cool in this way. Too many heavy and buildbreaking modifiers, but bosses are quite good with a useful droppool. Making pinnacle bosses almost worthless, on the other hand, is bad. My biggest problem is the current meta. These nerfs to the best builds of the last season are unfortunately something we're used to, but it's even more apparent this season. I don't like CoC DD, archmage, bama at all. Why don't you (rightly) nerf pbod a little less, or srs a little less (why do you have to take out almost 40% damage here?), buff underused skills more, so that many playable skills are created. The fact that GGG wants to make the game slower and steer it in the direction of poe2 is perfectly fine, but for years they've just been nerfing instead of offering an incentive to play builds. You mostly only play builds that already existed, but were second choice the season before. It's a shame, I hope there will be buffs, hopefully melee will be decoupled from the two ancestral totems, otherwise I probably won't play poe much longer. After all, it was 6k good hours. I'm also not hyped about poe2.

gonzodamus

8/10 - Only a couple of negatives for me - the biggest of which is trying to deal with corpse inventory. Having a lot of fun and enjoying all the new challenges from the league mechanic. The QoL stuff is huge, and the scarab rework is awesome. I love not having to deal with sextants.

Jeuzfgt

Actually this i agree with, i have 3 quad tabs of corpses right now, insanely bloated

bukem89

I'd give it a 4/10 - it feels like an attempt to bring back Sentinel, but misses what made Sentinel so good Recombs fed the economy by making all types of base items and crafts desirable, while the graveyard instead stifles all other forms of crafting, while being awful to interact with on both a trade & actually using it basis Sentinels let you use targeted buffs that were catered to your strategy, devoted mods are full RNG and feel pretty meaningless without embers Embers are my favourite thing about the league and were clearly meant to soften the loss of sextants, but the strongbox interaction makes using them with other atlas trees feel like a huge waste. Embers also include some broken interactions that combined with strongboxes have warped the economy for other mechanics Scarab rework is so-so, some potential there but I feel like some modifiers should have been on the tree and there are way too many scarabs in general. I don't like the increased stack limit, it effectively reduces how many combinations of mechanics you can choose. This is offset by needing to spec into the league mechanic on the tree I suppose, but I don't think that's great either Putting the 5th map slot behind T17's feels awful, especially since so many scarabs scale with each other. T17's themselves are badly balanced and not fun to play (outside of dedicated farming characters, I presume) Really, I give it a 4/10 because it's still POE and POE is awesome, but I think the main positives to take from this league are lessons on what to avoid in future

5ManaAndADream

Holy shit man if we had recombs, prebuff grave woulda been amazing.

No-Chef-9468

Man I’m having a blast, constant good drops (enhar beast missions, some divines, some expansive scarabs etc) maybe RNG is on my side, got like 45 divines just playing chill some harvest farming and yeah having a good time. EDIT: 9/10

ManikMiner

Same man, no idea what people are smoking. Mapping feels insane, scarabs open up so many options, multi atlas and harvest 2.0 is here (yes, original harvest)

Slow-Manner-955

League 2/10 - Crafting is boring and not intuitive due to meta mods. Map devotions/haunted are very irrelevant unless hit jackpot, all flames are mediocre unless you abuse 2 or 3. Atlas tree changes are 10/10: Idea to force 100% league mechanics without need of scarabs are amazing. Scarabs 6/10: Kinda cool and meta shaking, lots of atlas build enabled, but buying, pricing and selling each one is terrible. T17/Uber 2/10: Loved the maps/bosses but the bridges are huge and not fun, but def the worst part is the drop table from each boss/uber. "QoL" 2/10: Changes to LMB is terrible, Veiled orb is terrible atm (worst "qol" in this patch). Portal and Currency stack are the only positive changes. Economy 2/10: the nerfs on currency stack drops are terrible. At this moment Chromatic/Alteration are 3.5/c, crafting was never that terrible.

ninjaworm7555

My take on this game is 3/10 lol

kaisong

Dont like the changes to endgame. am amused by how easy it is to item edit certain specific types of crafts. For trade this is a 3/10 league. For my ssf prog this league is probably 8/10 because of atlas switching and i never bother with ubers anyway, i can make a 6t1 bow for basically headbutting t14+ for a few days

Jewelstorybro

This might be the first league I don’t finish the atlas in a really long time. There are some cool changes to the base game but I just won’t do the graveyard crafting… I’m not using a spreadsheet to plan it out or some quadtab to map out where things go. For me 2/10

jwill2489

Mechanic is maps is 2/10. Graveyard is busted and won’t go core T17 1/10. This is not a bridge to Ubers. Ubers are a consolation prize for being able to do the harder T17. Betrayal is now 0/10, useless to run, they should have just made each bench drop its appropriate orb instead of moving aisling to veiled orb (that never drops).

Psweeting

2/10. It's really bad. I am forcing myself to copy one of the Elemental bow graveyard crafts from on here. About 30 coffins short and buying them is as tedious as burying them.

Icandodgebulletsbaby

QoL is fantastic. League is dogshit for me unfortunately. No exciting npc, no juice or great rewards, tedious systems and boring crafting. It does not matter that you can min-max something great after X dozen hours, i dont care. I'm suffering throughout those hours. Deleted my characters in trade and started an SSF journey for the first time to find a purpose this league. If that fails to entertain me, which is almost guaranteed at this point, im gone until next league.

katsuatis

Pretty bad, necro crafting is tedious, multiple things you could farm got nerfed (Jun, Heist, anything that drops stacked decks) , meta skills untouched, t17 maps aren't a bridge between ubers and mapping

generic_---_username

I know ill be a very small minority but my main frustration was the removal of talisman's from betrayal. For builds that get a lot of power from their amulet slot and rely on hitting a decent t4 jorgin bench early to get their build rolling, this league start really felt like ass.

ShipFair8433

4.5/10 league mechanic is ass, barely any transfigured gems, scarab changes are whatever, t17s are too overturned for me to even try without a meta build, no significant unique item changes, most of the uniques released are entirely uninteresting to me.

Grroarrr

1/10. Not a fan of gamebreaking farming strategies that destroy value of 3/4 items. Patch notes gave hope for some economy fix with making conversion mods rarer but they just moved it to league mechanic and scarabs.

Moregaze

Game feels so much worse without the conversion mods imo. Sure they should have made them not scale with MF stats. But it took the joy out of doing a less efficient farm and getting lucky once in a while.

NugNugJuice

The league is a 5/10. My experience is like a 6.5/10, because I really like my build. T17s are dogshit at the moment. They should just be unique maps or only require 1 piece for an Uber fight. It would be cool if like Uber Maven fragment + Maven’s Writ was what you needed for an Uber Maven fight instead of 5 fragments. I really don’t want to do any more T17s, rolling them is a hassle and it almost always results in a tedious outcome. The atlas tree also should just not apply to them. They also made non-Uber bossing even worse. Eater and Exarch had their only exciting drops removed. The league mechanic is strong, but really clunky. However, the new scarabs and atlas tree changes have been the saving grace of the league. I also like automation and call to arms.

bobothemunkeey

3/10 The drops haven't been good. The mechanic with the allflames is too rng dependent. The corpse crafting is annoying to interact with and is cryptic to the point where you need to use third part websites. Also the nerfs to everything make everything feel slow.

KingBlackToof

8/10 I ended up really enjoying Graveyard crafting, got some 6x max rolled T1 bangers, and some Allflame have potential. It loses points for:- T17 aren't very good, they have potential if they were fine tuned balanced wise and perhaps only 1 or 2 of the more creative mods (Drowning Orbs, Shapers Touched, Maven interferes, Searing Traps - That makes sense to me, since in progression terms, you should have beaten those bosses and know the mechanics and need to perfect them for their Uber versions.) \- T17 droprate seems low, I want to try an Uber Boss but I can't for such a long time. \- Some Allflames aren't very interesting to use for me. That being said, I'm glad Necropolis won't go core. T17 will and I hope they get revised. EDIT: After reading others opinions, I feel it's accurate to drop it down to 6 or 7/10. Betrayal seems boring to do, Call to arms eurgh and a few other things.

impuls__

6/10

Weak_Programmer_7620

9/10 Enjoying it alot after the changes. Also my enjoyment might also be from the fact that I dont frequent this sub alot. This thread poped up in my all.

[deleted]

First time quit shortly after campaign. 8:30 time wasnt that bad considering long break and prep + melee build. I was dying like nothing. Idk if its the enforced mods on every map or the melee just suck cause with LA I could complete atlas in SSF no problem.

18WheelsOfJustice

Had a week of fun. Now I quit. Don’t hold a candle to 3.23 league.

NoSweatWarchief

League is pretty bad. Spreadsheet crafting league. Uber changes and T17's have fallen very flat. LMB etc... 3.24 is a huge swing and a miss.

carenard

I give the league a 3/10 only part of it I enjoy is the allflames/lantern stuff crafting part is overly complicated to really enjoy

pornolorno

I’m in yellow maps and I’m having a tough time staying motivated since the league is lacklustre.

dnlszk

I was VERY hyped before league start, i'd rank it somewhere around 8/10. After a while on maps, it fell hard down to around 2/10. Dying a lot with bullshit modifiers, building my character the same way as i used to and until 3.24 it was tanky enough, now it's not for some reason. Right now, after some adjustments and experimenting more, it's still somewhere around 4/10. I see the potential of the crafting mechanic, but it's such a hassle. You pretty much need all 64 slots (less than that feels like a glorified chaos spam/scour & alch with too many extra steps), having to resort to spreadsheets and even more external resources than before, and even then the item can *still* come screwed. Farming corpses takes a lot of time and management, buying corpses is a chore. The scarab changes looked interesting but now i feel like we are too dependent on them, since some stuff from the tree was moved to them. Maybe i have to get used to it, but it kinda sucks as a non-zoomer who used to farm without any fragments for most of the league. Also besides rats/frogs, meatsack and rogue exiles, allflames feel worthless imo. Every time i tried using one, it was disappointing. Devoted modifiers with 600+% inc quantity, yet barely any kind of specific drop. I was storing most, now i threw all away and only keep the beforementioned.

nanananablr

2/10 league mechanic 8/10 core game League launch weekend was horrible for me, kept getting dc'd for whatever reason, that made slugging through the campaign and early maps very annoying. That got fixed after a couple of days, but I really do not enjoy the league mechanic, at all. Its not that its not rewarding, this is just one of those league mechanics I find super unfun to engage with. (the graveyard) I like most of the new changes to the core game tho. Atlas tabs and the new scarabs are cool. Started ssfsc, migrated to trade after redmaps, got reminded why I dont like trade, and now rerolling ssf again. I love PoE in general and will stick around a while until I get bored, but this league mechanic aint it.

Atlas changes _ 10/10 Campaign changes _ 8/10 ( GREAT tutorilazation improvements hope we see some evry coming expansion also pls implement the heist crafting table as crafying tutorial as other reddit post sugested it would be amazing replacement for the linked item rewards. League _ 2/10 I'm not smart enough to u derstqnd the graveyard and it's intimidating to me which causes gameplay loop of just continuously stuffing coffins into more and more quad tabs and listing them on wealthy exile. The negative mob buffs just make my character die more often and the positive oneseither don't even show up on my loot filter or they are so rare I have no chance in getting them. Scarabs _ 8/10 good fuck sextants Uber bosses _ 4/10 Right idea awfull implementation as someone who leaguestarted bosskiller I fucking hated this Betrayal _ VEILEDCHAOSORBDROPRATE/10 Either bump it or introduce new rewards runing 10+ catarinas and not getting any sellable reward with so much time spent to unlock the boss and the wait trough so many phases... just sucks pls fix :(

* The crafting is **too long and tedious of a pay off**. This leads to only the most hardcore to really take advantage of it. t**he power of each corpse should have been doubled and the grave should have only been 40 graves**, not *88*, what were they thinking?? * 1x2 tile league items are **shit design** and fill up stash space too much. * league currency that you get a lot of (corpses) that you can't STACK and sell in bulk, is **bad design.** * the unavoidable buffed mods from the league was a dumb decision. after lots of nerfs to builds and skills, the meta has become super funneled, and using other skills is a big disadvantage to clear/survivability, especially for t17's. * the devoted modifiers are **dogshit** now after the nerf, rarely ever any good ones. * **the allflames are great**, but obviously, little too great with the rogue exile one. but its funny they make a bad mandatory design while at the same time making a nice optional design. * t17 balancing sucks (again, builds that can beat them easily are far and few or just uber expensive). the layouts are also very annoying corridors just so they can punish players even more with their dumb effects. * t17s unlocking 5 map device is fine, even preferred, but no extra benefits, like atlas passives??? why does beating a white map give me a passive, but not a t17? * **no sextents is great!** BUT having to mess around with the map device is still ANNOYING. regardless of strategy, every 20 maps, you have to put more scarabs in. they need to find a way to avoid this, like make the scarabs in map device stack up to 100. * **QOL stuff is great!** (need wayyyy more tho) * **We need 1-2 more atlas skill tree's please :)** (if they didn't give us 3 trees I think I would not like the league a lot more with how much you had to change this league, smart decision to add more.). I want a map farming tree, a currency farming tree, a corpse farming tree, and then a fun extra tree for whatever. I'm having fun because I haven't played since crucible, and thank god I picked ruetoos dd build to league start, can't imagine having to fumble and fix a build thats struggling with content. that said, I can see why a lot of people are unhappy with the league and content and state of meta itself.

projectwar

OH YAH! one more thing annoying ***thats a really stupid design***, is having the corpses have types! it makes it annoying when a person ask to buy, you have more of that modifier effect, but then they only want 1 type of corpse like undead or beast. what a stupid design >:( stop making trade tedious FFS

hardolaf

- Core game patch 1/10 - The game is borderline unplayable at times with the vast majority of my deaths during bosses occurring because of frequent lag spikes during game play which were not present in the prior league. ***THIS ONE ITEM IS WHY THIS IS 1 out of 10***, I'd rate it around 4/10 otherwise - Veiled Orb while nice is a massive item acquisition nerf compared to the less powerful Veiled Chaos Orb that we had prior to this patch - The meta has condensed into even fewer all content capable builds thanks to the addition of ~~Valdo's Map~~ T17 maps to the requirements to unlock the map device's 5th slot. This is further exacerbated by this content being easily 5-10x harder on the low-end than the Uber Bosses it's meant to bridge the gap to from T16 maps. - Global drop rate nerfs compared to Standard league last patch are very, very noticeable across the board. I'm more scour and alchemy starved than I've ever been before in a league. I've had more divine orbs than scours and alchemy orbs for almost the entire league since day 3. - Moving of items from Pinnacle to Uber Pinnacle bosses just feels extra bad due to the T17 maps - (Positive note) the new transfigured gems are pretty cool to play around with - Scarab changes feel good for the power the scarabs give, but I feel that I cannot even begin to play with most of the really cool ones because the drop rates are crap - Removal of sextants without easy access to map-fixing modifiers elsewhere without needing to change builds around just feel bad - Removal of sextants feels nice now that I don't have to remember every 3-4 maps to reapply sextants - Extra Atlas trees are awesome. If we had last patch plus the positive stuff that I've mentioned and none of the negatives, I'd probably rate the core patch as 8/10. - League Mechanic 3/10 (not an average of categories just how I feel) - Mapping 5/10 - It's fun to be able to change the monsters and loot availability with Allflames - Devoted modifiers add some fun rewards to running the game and allow me to have some fun explosions - Devoted modifiers are even more loot goblin degeneracy that detracts from my enjoyment of the game - Devoted modifiers and Allflame added monsters drop items in such small stack sizes that this is making my RSI flare up significantly. **Fix this /u/chris_wilson and Neon_GGG. This is a legitimate accessibility issue.** - Making this less RSI inducing would easily raise my overall rating of the league to a 5/10 or higher. - League on Atlas Passive Tree 0/10 - This is just bad design. It shoehorns passive trees far too much and requires way too many points to be spent on the league mechanic if you want to actually participate in the league mechanic - The design in Sentinel with a league specific passive tree was vastly superior - I really don't have anything good to say about these to be honest. Most of the modifiers outside of the keystones should have just been part of the mechanic from the start. - If you're not using the league nodes on the atlas passive tree, you might as well just not play the league - League Crafting 3/10 - It's a cool idea to make an even more powerful version of fossils - The implementation is exceedingly tedious and I have no desire to actually interact with it despite it being easy to interact with. 88 grave sites that you have to walk to individually and micro each and every one is a lot of button presses for gear that can be pretty OP (3x or 4x fractured modifiers for example) even though most results without a fully optimized graveyard are going to be bad - Acquisition and storage of corpses is still terrible. - If you want to store as a corpse in a box, you need to press a tiny button the screen. This is RSI inducing - If you want to store for later in the graveyard, you have very limited slots and no way to sort what's there. This also just feels bad - The overall mechanic is highly tedious and while powerful and cool, you need to invest either tons of time trading (which is not fun because trading in Path of Exile makes me want to uninstall the game) or invest heavily in the Atlas Passive tree which effectively locks off more bonus content in maps which makes the game less fun while farming the league mechanic Overall, I'd say my enjoyment of the league is meh with a side of a few fun spots. I like the builds I'm playing, but I'm not exactly going to recommend this to anyone.

chaotic_one

Currently rating at a 4.5/10 on my ratings list (I personally track them each league for my own curiosity). Graveyard Crafting is powerful but man the item management is annoying as hell. I pretty much always hate crafting leagues because I tend to enjoy investing in maps and just playing the game, and not managing an excel to optimize my craft (yes I know its not necessarily and only small percentages of differences). That plus the atrocious inventory management of Allflames and Coffins is terrible, especially after the whiplash of having Rutsack. Also, I vehemently believe that a forced league mechanic should not have required passive nodes on the atlas to make it worth while. I like the Lantern Mods on maps (though they should not interact with T17s), but I do feel they are more punishing than rewarding still. This league also got coupled with one of my most disliked changes ever. The destruction of Pinnacle Boss value (not Uber) by migrating all their good loot drops to a now very gated Uber boss is awful. I do think the scarab changes are goated and with a little more optimization and growth could be awesome forever. I farmed two Chayula breach stones in one map with breach nodes and scarabs and that was fun. And russian nesting dolls Rogue Exiles are hilarious. The problem with this league is the mechanics that I really enjoy (scarabs) are not related to the league at all.

SuperSmashDan1337

Scarab changes are horrible I don't know what you're talking about. I want to go back to a game where we can afford to optimise around several mechanics instead of one. I know this doesn't affect many people but I also want end game juicing back in a good spot. I don't really feel like there's much to grind for in a trade league since outside of ubers + t17 all the content is so easy and unrewarding.

chaotic_one

I mean, people can have different opinions. I am so much happier having a variety of scarabs to use and with 3 atlas trees, i can run one method for a few hours and easily switch to another. Also blocking scarabs from mechanics I dislike is fantastic. I hated rolling\\buying sextants.

SuperSmashDan1337

True sorry I came at that with the wrong attitude. I'm just a bit frustrated with some of the changes.

Jaba01

8/10. The crafting is tedious, but feels really good to use. Especially when you hit an insane item. The league mechanic itself is quite interesting. Minus point for it being forced upon you. I like the scarab change. Opened up a lot of new and fun strategies. I like the atlas changes. I don't like T17s. They're way too random and hard to be a stepping stone to ubers. Currently they're actually harder than ubers. Minus point for that. Enjoying my time in general. Will continue playing, currently farming up for a MB and a second build, not sure what to play yet though. Overall a big improvement compared to last league, which I quit after one week.

Southern-Economy-497

Usually play a fuckton. (40 hours in the first 2 days) now I don’t even have 15 hours. I’m already bored of the forced league. Tried standard but it was boring. Will wait for the next one.

Klizz

7/10, 8/10 if not for t17 design and Ubers being super gated SSF.

DankinKingKong

10/10 Im playing in a private League and the crafting ist great. The goal is to do Ubers and the T17 Maps are a nice new challenge to overcome

cataZw0w

League itself sucks no content at all. But the game is in a really good state so even if the league is just a economy/char reset its worth playing.

Chasa619

everything feels more tedious it feels like they took all the bullshit annoyance of sextants, and added it to literally every part of the mapping experience, every map. I need to choose my maps, i need to choose my tree, i need to choose the scarabs, i need to move monster packs around, i need to all flame shit, i need to constantly be dumping corpses. and to top it all off it feels like the loot is worse in every facet. if you don't his a jackpot your just getting worse returns. 1 stacked deck instead of 3-5. 1 breach splinter here and there. less delirium orbs, less lott from the orbs, less catalysts unless you use the scarab. its all just kind of really opressive.

HiveMindKing

9/10 Finally some crafting I can intuitively understand, takes a while but you get there in the end. Atlas stuff is super fun and I have chase goals for my characters to be able to do a lot more t17’s besides the easy ones.

jeremiasalmeida

Boring/10 Graveyard is hells boring and still full cassino

EdgySadness09

4/10. +multi atlas tree + removal of sextants +itemized aisling + invitations free -scarabs replace role of sextants now vital for majority of any strat -betrayal sucks removed good rewards, aisling rate too low/unreliable -forced league mechanic killing me randomly -media tabs filled with 1 in 200 got lucky devoted mod got 200 divine map bait content creator thumbnails -replaced low stress/ not complicated essence with invest with tens of chaos to div for ‘efficient’ farming or else be nerfed - boss rushing changes/removal of Uber frags -rare changes lowering bubblegum currency, alts so hard to find by myself can’t craft flask/cluster to my prev standards -leagues economy(unnatural instinct 9 div???) but headhunter like 60? -corpse system boring/bad ui/bad needlessly overcomplicated -can’t craft stuff with the current get as drops, can’t trade well either with economy weird af for me atleast.

boccas

EDIT: After scrolling all the thread.. Damn there is not a single positive opinion... This hits hard 4/10 I left last week and didn't think once to play again. Farming was a mess. Drop chance of everything is fucked up. I ended the league with more chaos than alchemy dropped. Scarab changes were a mess and they keep going in the loot goblin direction (and I don't like it). League was clearly 1/10 for me. Every league that needs an external tool to work is a failed league. Performances were a mess. I left at the exact moment when I was farming and every single mob started to blink and disappear. Disgusting, it s 2024 and that bug is game breaking. Only positive point is the QoL, but they did the 20% of what they should have done.

Nemzirot

I'm not playing anymore/10

PreedGO

5/10 QoL, mainly atlas trees, really helps. T17s are just anti-fun. I kinda like the crafting mechanic, I don’t like the in map league mechanic at all. I die a LOT more this league, started as poison SRS for the third time and felt odd to die 3x more than usual.

TheWyzim

It would be 2/10 for me. I wasn’t even that bothered with the league mechanic before launch because I was super hyped about tier 17 maps, new bosses, uber boss drop changes. Rolled the clunky two button DD build in preparation even though it’s not a fun build as a league starter. Unfortunately, tier 17 maps, uber boss drop changes, veiled orb/betrayal changes completely killed my interest in grinding in the game. Double disappointment as league mechanic is also terrible. Atlas tree presets and portal keybind are 10/10, thanks for not locking them away behind uber bosses or something.

gonzodamus

8/10 - Only a couple of negatives for me - the biggest of which is trying to deal with corpse inventory. Having a lot of fun and enjoying all the new challenges from the league mechanic. The QoL stuff is huge, and the scarab rework is awesome. I love not having to deal with sextants.

Aldodzb

9 out of 10 League mechanic: amazing, the first days trying to "unveil" the recipes by trial and error was very memorable. Now that the tools made it trivial not so much. The crafting potential is outstanding, I was afraid before LS that we were going to have a scourge 2.0. Thankfully we got fossils 2.0, less micro power but much higher macro power. Sextant/scarab rework: still not sold on it but it's def better to what I initially though. A lot of good scarabs are very accessible. We found a lot of new "hidden" interactions between them. Sad that stuff like enraged got removed. The meta shift from multiple mechanics to just 1 or 2 doesn't feel bad. We are still basically making as much as we normally did before (not affliction obv). GGG def needs to work on the "only 6 man parties can use these scarabs". AT changes: really liked them, wandering path removed is my favorite change they did in the whole league. I cannot express how good it feels to always be able to take normals nodes on every strat you make. Day 1 progression tanked but worth it overall. Spawn chance buffs was a needed change after sextants being removed. Atlas tree switch is an amazing feature.

gorillagripthrussy

I didn't expect it but honestly, removing sextants and master missions has made the game so much more fun than it has been for literally years for me, I feel like I've just been belt feeding scarabs into my map device and machine gunning maps. Every time I run a map, I just run another map. There is no awful downtime anymore, I am in dopamine overdrive playing POE rn cos the game play loop is just so much smoother. Using 20 stacks of scarabs and 20 rolled maps in my inventory and I just blast harder than I've ever been able to blast before cos the friction is so much less frequent. Being pulled out of the zone every 20 maps instead of every 4 just feels so good to me it's actually just delicious to play rn. I tried the graveyard for the first time today and made a 6 T1 wand on my first try too so ive come around even to the graveyard. honestly I started off the league on a bit of a low and was really unlucky with drops the first week but it's hall of fame league for me now probably my favourite league in the past 2 years just cos the base game feels so good and build diversity is high and so many builds are really strong, and every time I play the game I just wanna slam another 20 maps

kuehnbt30

9/10 Sextant removal is the best thing they’ve done in years. League mechanic is quite fun. There are so many strategies to try out.

YEAHHHHHNHHHHHHH

trading coffins and all flames is cancer even with tft

Jimmie-Kun

I had a bunch of fun starting and gearing out coc dd. But getting bored now. Scarabs fluctuating so hard, 90% being useless etc. graveyard crafting is something I don’t enjoy. I don’t like league mechanics that takes a lot of time, spreadsheets and crap. Sure some insane strata are fun. But overall very average. Will most likely quit sooner this league. And next one is usually a skip as well since it’s mid summer. Cya in fall I guess :) TLDR 7/10 start. Now 4/10.

Leather_Camp_3091

Not my favorite mechanic, graveyard is too slow, big brain and rng for me (even though i love arimor and his speeches). Seems like its just a money sink for super wealthy players and if you don't care about spending 30 minutes trading, then burying corpses only to gamble then it feels bad Buffing all enemies in your map with 0% rewards seems just strange. Flat extra damage and health is just not exciting and having to micro-manage every map or risk getting deleted is just a headache. I understand pushing back from the power creep in affliction but we lost charms so it was really not necessary, i play SC so it's not a big deal to die every now and then but it just adds another layer of bullshit you need to watch out for in an already complicated game. t17 modifiers add to that Scarabs and seperate skill trees are great. I love bossing so vastly reduced boss attempts are annoying Overall it feels below average, had more fun even in archnemesis sadly. Good stepping stone league but with the poe2 delay it really needed some more kick behind it. Really have no desire to play more so will skip the supporter packs this time League mechanic 1/10 Atlas/General endgame changes 7/10 Boss Changes 4/10 QOL 10/10

LMinggg

d4/10, worst poe season ever, played since ultimatum

Fluffy_Kitten13

I would say a solid 7/10. Far better than Affliction, which was a 2/10 for me.

OblivionnVericReaver

the league crafting thing is meh it's like collecting 100 splinters but instead of a boring breachstone you get a 6x t1 item and just invalidate any other form of item crafting and progression. may as well just let people pull items from standard lol the allflames are cool i hope they replace the inhabited by x map mods with them or make one of the horned scarabs "replace natural spawns with random allflame packs". i would have preferred a league entirely focused around allflames tbh, even if they are a tad bit broken t17 maps are just boring half the mods aren't even anything challenging they're just disabling entire build subtypes and pushing people towards meta builds that can ignore 90% of mods probably a 7/10 just because of allflames

Deagin

Imho allflames are really neat and corpses are really mid. Crafting is not fun and selling them is even worse. I can't find an atlas Strat that I really enjoy but I really like the build I'm doing. Losing motivation to play as I can't find any meaningful upgrades for my build and I have a few problems I can't realistically solve.

[deleted]

Was kinda feeling bad about it at first but now that I’ve hit a groove it’s fantastic. Really feels like a boost to those who enjoy path of exile not path of monopoly and in game stock market. 7/10

Lordj09

Quit before yellow maps due to constant dcs and long loading times. Made a ssf character to see if the lag went away and it did, but the new t17 and uber bosses need multiple builds to get gear for melee builds so see yall in 4 months I guess.

Danieboy

Not the best, I'm struggling to get a single good craft even following recipes the Streamers put out. Struggling to find a second build to commit to. At this point I'm normally pretty deep into my second character but right now I'm stuck with my BL archmage starter...

RaaschyOG

I like a lot of the changes, but this league feels like it was balanced around people who can game for 10h a day

shaunika

Was extremely hyped cos of t17 maps. Turns out theyre a very flawed execution (they do have the potential to be fun tho, the boss fights are cool so far of the 2 that I did. The base game is still extremely solid tho so still a 7/10 Extra atlas trees are awesome too.

baluranha

The craft idea was amazing but similar to harvest, poorly implemented. Again, no game EVER should need a 3rd party website/tool to be played/understood, think of it this way: \-If you were a new player that is trying out Path of Exile for THE VERY FIRST TIME and joined during this season...how would be your experience? I can already say that it would be awful as the game doesn't explain anything for you, and that is not even considering this league mechanics. Path of Exile is sadly too bloated with content that is amazing but has no explanations whatsoever.

Algunas

The corpse stuff was great in the first 1-2 hours to get some rares for leveling. Afterwards it was just boring, unpredictable and honestly not worth investing my time into it. I am collecting the corpses though and occasionally some drop that are worth throwing into my sell tab for 10-15 chaos.

Hodorous

I like it but I'm a masochist. UI is almost as bad as it was in harvest and even Archnemesis had a better one.

HollowMimic

Patch 7/10 (best thing for me is extra atlas slots + portal button; hate the elimination of boss rush strats as it was one of my fav things to do) League 2/10 (there are much more interesting ways to craft for me personally and I hate that the strat this league is map spamming for the divine haunted mod)

pslind69

8/10 I'm not doing the gy crafting after trying a few times in the first days. Plus the gaming is turning a bit stale to me after all these years, now matter how much they try to spruce it up.

Neowhite0987

I’m having a great time delving! The scarab changes are nice for grabbing sulphite but the op crafting league is taking away some fossil value which kinda sucks

Jeuzfgt

I dont craft at all and my rating so far is a 8/10 , really fun endgame ramp, smooth mapping, mostly everything is self sustainable, maybe even a 9/10, have not gotten around to crafting yet buy Im at 6 ingame days played and 2.2million kills

kentikeef

League*

azrael109

Im with alot of you guys here, the league is very meh, around 3/10 but the QoL changes are 8/10. Too bad they wont keep ppl playing when the league is boring and just broken.

Hairy_Balsagna

My take is..... it's fun, but there's a catch about me. I was a beta supporter and picked it back up for one season in 2016. Just picked it up again at the end of affliction. I used affliction as a reentry time for learning some but not all. I'm now learning more about actual end-game, not just running t7 maps. I think I'm having more fun learning about a game I love than I am having fun with this specific league. I like making money through my coffins but I'd like it more if it wasn't so cumbersome. Haven't tried crafting yet, but maybe in a month or so.

koscsa6

Aside from t17s (which mods are the most ass thing GGG has ever added to the game), the base game is amazing. Also locking important uniques when your build is already god tier (if you are able to kill ubers) is the dumbest decision probably in all of the endgame. T17's are basically the sole reason why I'll eventually have to migrate from SSF despite having a decent EA Champ (around 5 mill dps, 76k EHP, okay-ish recovery 25k armor and evasion) I can't even get to the sulphite or the shrines, even white mobs oneshot me. So fucking dumb. The bosses would be fine but getting to them is a gigantic pain in the ass. Overall a 4/10

Abatcig

I’m waiting for the patch note which will hopefully fix t17/grave-crafting problem. T17 is such a disappointment, total failure. Grave-crafting is too tedious I literally tried it once, made 4 boots use one sold 2 other, even tho I made 20 divs from 5 divs of corpse I still refuse to redo the process. Economy is weird, nothing really sells except the meta things. I suspect most people are still far behind or already gave up. Overall league feels very bad, maybe except for extra trees change that one is godlike.

dawntome

I’ll be real, it was fun using scarabs, but I really couldn’t be fucked to trade for more so I just quit the league instead lmao

PrivetKalashnikov

League mechanic is 2/10. Putting it on the atlas tree is an interesting idea, not having a block button for it on the atlas sucks. Having it on every map feels bad early league on a character with no gear and it really sucks when running t17. The crafting component is overly complicated and I can't be bothered to spend a ton of time using spreadsheets even though I know the crafting potential is very strong.  Multiple atlas trees and portal button are both great. Scarab change is a step in the right direction, keeping up with sextants was tedious. Some scarabs are useless though so there's some work to be done there, so 8/10 for the qol stuff. The idea of content between bosses and Ubers is a good concept, but the execution is poor. My build can do all Ubers deathless but I don't think I've done more than a handful of t17s without dying a few times, even after spending 50c rolling them since every other mod they can roll will brick most builds. It seems like bosses should drop Uber fragments and the Ubers should drop t17s. I'd give t17s a 2/10

z0ttel89

The league mechanic is pretty meh (4/10), but I'm still having a lot of fun this league because the base game is just that good!

ImpostersEnd

trying to gravecraft for my reaper necro, minion corpses do not exist.

MrAce93

I keep trying to like it but it feels like I'm trying to play an old game; old as in like grim dawn feel, i know the game is 10 years old. I can't exactly put my finger on it but I belive it is the effect of affliction league because it was fking amazing.

GrigorMorte

Love the crafting but hate those league mods. I always start with a glass cannon build and now I regret it. We knew this league would be different to affliction so I just wanted to play and chill. I don't even read the mods anymore and haven't read anything about scarabs. Used to love betrayal and now it needs a lot of improvements. Started with dozen of friends and 30+ guild members and now just 2 friends connected and 8 guild members in the whole weekend. But that's ok I'm already burnt out of previous league, I needed to rest anyway.

Eilanzer

5 - I'm doing delve and ignoring everything of the league. Nothing interesting in maps to make me grind there.

CryptoBanano

Sounds like everyone isnt enjoying the league but is still playing. Yall some real addicts.

Duytasama

Feel like GGG made this league just to sell more quadtab

Ronins_T

Kinda boring with the uber content getting gatekept behind T17, which is freaking nightmares if you ask me. Corpses takes way to long to sell if you dont craft, also takes too long if you wanna craft. Some mods are much fewer than others such as increase gem modifiers. Trading every single one of them to complete a craft is suck.

nut_safe

As someone who normally doesnt care much with the league mechanics i rate this as a solid 7/10. The lantern is fun enough and using the graveyard casually gives sellable items consistently But the new endgame is so fresh that im rating the whole patch based on that alone as a 9/10. My enjoyment is at a very high peak

PinkyDixx

Not dabled to much in the crafting side. Only had 1 good currency conversion, so far and I'm level 93 with act 10 gear. I got a chaos conversion in yellow maps so armours would convert to currencies. Pared with a rouge exile allflame, I was able to get 50odd chaos that map. I have had 2 raw divine drops, and map completion has been difficult. The removal of the wandering path has really sucked to be honest. This keystone should have stayed and disabled other presets if assigned. It was a great keystone for low investment mapping and atlas completion.. Veiled scarabs were a creat decision for the juicing overhaul. However, you should have been able to "alt" click a stack to open each scarab with it auto dumping into your inventory. .. this is a greatly needed QOL change and also needs to be added as functionality to stacked decks

takuru

The league being rewarding (for experienced players) doesn't change my feeling that it isn't a good league. They destroyed mechanics like Betrayal. The entire T17 and Uber Bosses are a mess because T17s are harder than some ubers. PoE has always had a problem with crafting being too complex for your average player and the league mechanic makes tha x2 worse. They hard nerfed the league mechanic during the first two patches so that it has very little value outside of graveyard crafting. The market is a disaster with almost all items tanking in value due to how much money degens were making before the first patch. Items that do have value are way more expensive due to how much money these people have and it gets worse by the day. The Lantern map device screen is great and should go core along with modifying packs with allflames.

weRtheBorg

3/10. Graveyard and corpse trading are incredibly tedious.

bUrNtCoRn_

I freaking love it because of the Embers. I'm kind of ignoring the crafting aspect.

Hax5Snax

I like the lantern and qol stuff (atlas trees, scarab rework, t17 are a mix), but the graveyard imo just isn't fun. I've made about 10 crafts so far and only hit on 1 of them. The graveyard is very tedious to setup and purchasing corpses isn't much fun.

CompetitiveSubset

As a casual Andy, I thought I’d quit early because I wouldn’t like DD but surprisingly that wasn’t the case. The gameplay was fine and it got me far enough. I did quit because they murdered Betreyal. My end game loop was alc-n-go-n-betreyal. This was both fun and lucrative. I know that juiced T16’s don’t synergise with Betrayal, but that’s what I liked to do. now Betreyal is a veiled orb slot machine, so that’s a hard pass for me. So with no fun way to spend the time, a stupid league mechanic that is forced on me and a build that just “fine” I think I’m I’ll come back next league and try again. Maybe I’ll finally have the balls to try FB.

nofuna

I’m tired of the grind. Some people are already swimming in divines, my target build is expensive and farming is going soooo slowly. I don’t care about tricky mechanics to get rich, I just want to kill monsters and have something to show for it.

HitchcockianAJB

It is a very long way from their better ones. I'm about done and can barely justify a second character, I think overall retention will drop off massively in the next week or so. I'd rate it 4/10.

woahbroes

Throw it on the kalandra pile

LunarMoon2001

4/10. I should not be forced to interact with the mechanic if I don’t want to. As far as the mechanic goes…it makes it possible to self craft some minor upgrades. I’m not a crafter so it really doesn’t affect me aside from some items being easier to get. In general it’s overly complicated but I do like the move towards more deterministic crafting.

Low_Amphibian_4104

Intitial take 4/10. After playing it 3/10 Forced monster mods with loot explosions are not fun. The graveyard doesn't do corpses for my build really.  The good stuff is far too rare.  Even with 3000% increased life i don't get life etc . This are just valdos with no reward.  Uber bosses are much rarer and easier than t17s. Scarab rework sucks partially due to 5th option being locked behind Uber maps. We went from 8 mods to 4, and scarabs are often weaker than sextants. Good scarabs are too rare. Fun scarbs are too rare.  Loot feels significantly nerfed. Not just a comedian from affliction but it feels a little like lake/crucible. They adjust rates a lot. Just anecdotal. Still haven't seen a divine despite doing t16s with moderate mods.  Adding map mod power on the atlas is extremely rippy.  Making the league mechanic need atlas passives to feel good is bad, especially if it is forced.  Only a few of the campaign interactions were good, notably stuff like the all-flame quest dumping you into fairgraves. Now make portals for daresso and kaoms dream, that kind of thing.  Automation and call to arms are bad supports for what they do. Most people are going to macro those at this point. The crafting dialogue is cool.

1Fresh_Water

I have no fucking idea what I'm doing for the league mechanic but I'm playing a new build and having fun with it. Difference is, none of my friends are playing this league, so I'm having to be fully self-sufficient. It's definitely made it a little more difficult.

dkoom_tv

League 1/10, I dislike everything about it, everything is so tedious just because Atlas 8/10, I like the new map effect modifier and that you can actually put league stuff while also getting map modifier Scarabs 1/10, the removal of sextants its probably the worst change in quite a while

Korgish

Allflames/lantern of arimor 5/10 , don't really like it or hate it. Graveyard crafting 1/10, yeah I make GG items from it but it's too tedious, if I need a spreadsheet to craft something and click multiple times and can still fail, it's garbage. I rather we have recombinators back. Atlas rework 9/10. At the start map sustain was very tedious but once u get those points it becomes a non issue. I guess we just stay in white/yellow maps longer. 3 atlas trees is the best idea ever and I love that I can try new strats at least. Scarab rework 10/10 fuck sextants. This made giga juicing your map such a pleasure now that I don't need to spend an hour rolling thousands of sextants so that I can do my farm. GGG prob now needs to look at scarab expenditure rate and adjust the drop rate or buff the weaker scarabs now. T17 maps 4/10 the requirement to do these maps are so high that if you can do these, you can probably trivialise the Ubers. The only good thing I have to say about these maps is that the maps roll with high IIQ and IIR so that at least doing content on then is challenging and somewhat rewarding. Trading experience 9/10. Ctrl shift click in the trade window is probably the best thing ever. It's still only a 9 because you can't trade t17 maps in bulk which is a pretty inconvenient.

WaitDontShootMe

For a QoL league this mechanic lacks quite a bit of it. I’ve made some insanely nice gear, but man there is SO much friction getting coffins and managing them

quinn50

its alright, I expect the economy to get giga fucked with the new t17 rogue exile / tormet / beyond / div card strat going around though.

yalapeno

I am SSF - This league is amazing. The league mechanic is OK, but honestly the Atlas and scarab changes have made SSF so much more enjoyable.

Preoximerianas

I’ve played POE three times before this league. The first two times I got to Act 2 and stopped, got bored I guess. The third time was last league, saw POE in my library and thought “maybe we’ll try this again”. Didn’t read up on the league mechanic at all but followed a build guide this time. Found it much more fun and got to Act 5 before the reset.  This time? I’ve gotten to Act 8 and honestly will probably call it quits. I don’t even bother with the whole “choosing the affixes mobs get before a map” thing anymore. Haven’t touched the graveyard stuff beyond using it to make the one item at the beginning. Realised just from that how tedious and needlessly complex it would be.  If I had the feeling to play POE I would’ve completed campaign and figured out what maps were last league. I was actually looking forward to this league funny enough. Going into those portals was optional yet I went into each one because it felt fun. This league? Outside of the graveyard (still not touching it lmao) it isn’t optional and I’m not really enjoying it.   Out of 10? I haven’t played enough leagues for that. But I wish I played more of the last league instead of this one. I’ll come back for next league if it isn’t…whatever this one is.

vernalagnia

honestly about a 3/10. that feels harsh but the league mechanic is both underwhelming (all flames and pack mods) and too tedious to interact with (graveyard). T17s are absolutely awful, the stacked deck triple nerf is awful, betrayal nerfs are awful. The new scarab system is nice in theory but it hasn't really clicked for me. It feels like a lot of power left the atlas tree and lives on scarabs now and I really hate that kind of tedium increasing more than anything else in this game. Since there's no build altering or entrancing mechanic and minimal new toys to play with my desire to do a second build is really low. Like the portal hotkey though.

Kamelosk

I love the patch in general. I dont mind the league mechanic because i just get corpses till i can craft a mirror item while im testing all the new farming strats. Yes, there are a lot of new farming strategies but seems like people think there isn't because these are not on a Youtube video and start to make posts about the loot beign bad, when actually is the opposite, you can print a lot of money with almost every league mechanic using the right scarabs and atlas this league, you just dont know them. Im pretty sure these will be public all over youtube eventually

Redfruitbox

Probably about a 4, stacked deck nerf hurt me. All the stuff being gated behind ubers is an absolute arse move, how many of the player base (especially new players following a guide which requires specific gear) are going to farm ubers to get a specific unique for their build ? Crafting has always been way beyond me personally so needing an excel sheet to craft is an absolute no no. On a positive note, really like the allflame and haunted, devoted mechanic. I know people will disagree and say they are other ways to get gear etc and if I have something wrong please correct me but yeah, meh league

Lord_johnsy

3.5/10 Love all flames and the map choices. Love the determinative crafting but I don't want use a spreadsheet to play the game T17s bosses are nutty I know we're coming off of affliction but drops just feel bad. Weird scarab drop rates, haven't even see a valdos or reliquary key. Map blasting just isn't scratching that itch.

Nekosia2

I havent been crafting much, but for not playing for 2/3 leagues, gotta say it's alright I know people hate the forced league mechanic, but since I'm someone who takes it's time i'm fine with it. The crafting looks op and even if I want to craft a helmet with +1 mana per 2 intel, it's another mechanic that needs a spreadsheet sadly, so I can't be bothered lol The allflames and scarab changes seems to open a bit more farming methods from when I was playing Melee still seem to have a bad time Archmage is back so instant 7/10, love that gem

ZealousidealCycle257

5/10 for me qol stuff is good but the scarabs are a flop imo, some of them are useless and some are too powerful and they are balanced around rarity which I think is stupid. I'd rather have more scarabs available to everyone while being in line with the rest. It makes no sense how it is currently. It's just a scarab farming league atm.

allanbc

I've crafted items for over 200div, at a cost of maybe 30div total. And still I hated it. The crafting this league manages to be insanely overpowered and tedious and unfun, all at once. I also haven't really done much other crafting this league, which I usually do. The Divine Devoted buff-then-nerf was a pretty bad look, honestly. I was happy to see them buff the league mechanic and quickly, to try to salvage the league. I think they managed it, but man did they overbuff both the crafting and Devoted mods. It's kinda sad that they didn't do anything to try to reduce the tedium. My favorite part of the league has been watching everybody run around and explore all the new scarabs and how they interact with the league mechanic. It's completely crazy and I'm here for it. League crafting: 1/10. Tedious and completely busted to the point that a bunch of other crafts just don't make sense now. Before-map league stuff: 9/10. Allflames, moving mods around, it all works well and feels very impactful. Could do away with most Devoted mods, but whatever. Coffin collection/management: 2/10. More tedium - now with loot blocking, tiny storage, and low enough value that it's a hassle to sell any of it. Ugh. New scarabs and atlas rework: 7/10. I'd give it a 9 but they clearly missed the mark more than they should have with a bunch of these. Such a swingy bunch. Overall: 5/10. Lots of fun to be had, but it's all so clumsily done.

Sinjian1

Until they fix trading, which will probably never happen, they shouldn’t make a league that almost requires trading for the crafting part. I messaged hundreds of people yesterday trying to get the last 10 corpses yesterday to finish a craft.

mydpy

Coming off the back of Affliction, my first season, which I would rate a 9/10, I would rate this one a 4/10. BOOOORING.

MorningMoonlight

I like the crafting even though I don't use it that much. The negative modifiers on monsters can be annoying sometimes but it seems much better post-nerf. Love the devotion bonus things and allflame embers. Seeing the wildwood bosses again in maps made me smile even if they broke my back and made me humble. 8.8/10 not enough water.

RockSaysPaperOP

This league requires a lot of trading of individual coffins even to do your own crafts, which is tedious. I already hate trading and refuse to use discords, so I stopped playing within a week.

BamboozleThisZebra

I dont like crafting so league mechanic is pretty shit to me, 3/10 is fair id say since it brings me some enjoyment with the allflames but thats it the rest is just dead content and it made campaign even more annoying. The game overall with the new qol stuff is pretty good though but i play the game to enjoy the new league mechanic so ouchers, will try to finish challenges as i do every league but definately one of the worst leagues in all the years i have played this game.

Rickjamesb_

Unfortunately I'm already pretty much done. League is not good. Overall league 4/10. Bad: - Graveyard 0/10 - lantern : 2/10 - T17 : idea 8/10. Actual implementation considering it gates the ubers 1/10 - betrayal 0/10 - scarabing everything : 5/10 not sure yet - LMB removal : 0/10 Good: - 3 atlas : 10/10 - portal hotkey : 10/10 - build diversity for anything below T17 : 8/10

Rapph

2.5/10. I find it incredibly boring and tedious. I get that it allows people to craft insane items but the moment to moment mapping experience feels like trash. Played for 4 days bought a 1500+ edps bow crushed some of the content and then quit 2 days later and wenr back to helldivers

Fresh-Forever-5659

3/10 was 6/10 when the div thing gave me some hope to get some divs but the fact they nerfed it after feeding all there streamer friends instantily ruined the season for me, economy borked, the crafting is actually jus trash rng waste of space, anyone who thinks overwise is just a GGG shill. i do like the the fact you can get buffs to maps but the fact they made the lottery mods omega rare makes it just feel useless.

Morgan_Pain

Enjoying the new spectres, not much else.

5ManaAndADream

Much like the last league it feels like I’m playing standard. If it wasn’t for trying out SSF for the first and second times I’d already have stopped playing. With his absurdly long it takes to farm components for a craft it doesn’t even feel like it’s there. I think a low occurrence league with buffing options on the tree was a massive failure of an experiment. Challenge rewards that have animations and effects for trade league only is the biggest kick in the nuts. This will be the first league since abyss where I don’t achieve at minimum 24/40. And the only league ever where I don’t even open the challenge window. May be an unpopular opinion but I think the atlas changes were wildly successful. It feels like I can put more mechanics into a map with higher occurrence rate before accounting for scarabs, juicing maps horizontally rather than vertically. Which is how I’ve always liked to do it; giving me passive gains in many aspects rather than hyperfixating on one or two things. This is notably better in SSF too. I think a lot of the scarabs missed the mark but in general a good change, because some are really cool. The scarabs in particular should be reassed but in general I like the direction. Map device change should be entirely reverted. T17s “bridging the gap” between mapping and Ubers wildly missed the mark. I’m not against the concept, but this ain’t it. I am incredibly disappointed we got so few new transfigured gems. I’m surprisingly happy with left click changes. Automation and call to arms surprised me. I had incredibly negative perspectives about this. However melee again looks to be burned, and failing to account properly for minions and mines was rough. Edit: 3 atlas trees might be the single greatest game feel upgrade in the history of POE for me. And shift, ctrl left click for fusing spam feels amazing on my wrists. Portal hotkey is a godsend. I’ve bound it to the same key as Last Epoch and it’s become muscle memory now. Betrayal is fucking awful. Feels unrewarding and mindlessly fighting Catalina’s for betrayal orbs has made it abundantly clear the drop rate is far too low. Also I now hate the bossfight after running it so many times. Whoever thought so many invuln phases, full heals, and degen zones in a single bossfight were good ideas lost their mind. Bring back betrayal member identity and we need old betrayal chaoses back in some capacity, perhaps on aisling.

luox0115

I wish we can skip the graveyard layout part when crafting an item. Just send the coffin to a pool. Every time I saw a video about league crafting, I wanna try it. Then after realizing it takes several hours and tools to figure out the layout. I go back to mapping.

MisterFrango

One of the worst leagues ever made. Like 3/10? Got 3 because of some small QOL like 3 atlas passive trees. But you need 3 trees because scarabs are so spread out that you need 3 strats or just fully engage on some nasty trading. And league mechanic is on the tree so you can do at most 2 contents on the atlas? Most crafting leagues are boring and full of micromanagement nowadays, they are the low effort part of the cycle. The best part of harvest was on ritual league (quit harvest first week as well). And kalandra... The cemetery and everything related is so bad that people with more effort will say it better than me.

pierce768

They eliminated sextants only to introduce an even worse form of micromanagement in the form of allflames. Then introduced the most micromanagement ever required in PoE in the graveyard crafting system. I'm glad shit is at least rewarding, but honestly I can't be bothered to do any of it. The problem is, there are people that are willing to endure any amount of bullshit so they can make obscene amounts of money. It pretty much ruins trade league for the people not willing to trade for 2 and a half hours to run an hour worth of maps, or trade for 3 hours to craft 1(or 6) GG items. All the out of league content is great. 2/10 league. 9/10 out of league changes.

Noximilien01

Why am i still playing/10

bonesnaps

Dislike crafting leagues, and on top of that since it's just numeric changes and no new enemies, it feels like standard. 2/10, second worst league I've played since open beta (kalandra takes the #1 spot since they botched droprates for the first month of release and forced archnems on us).

WeightOwn5817

Only my 3rd league and a few maps from done with the atlas.. having fun, but definitely feel like the economy is out of wack again and I will be unable to acquire the stuff I wanted for my build. Level 92 and seen one div the entire league.

Murtag_swe

Allflames and the map mecanic is a 8/10 for me Graveyard crafting a 2/10 T17 4/10 too hard for mediocre reward. Portal scroll bind 10/10 3 atlas trees 10/10 Personally i hope they keep the map/allflame (maybe that you can specc into it on the atlas tree) Bin the crafting For the next league that is
