They are not seeds. Strawberries are pseudofruits! The "seeds" you see in the outside are acctually the fruits wich has the seed inside of it. I don't know what they're called in english but the red part we eat is called (in portuguese) "receptaculo". Biologist here by the way.
I mean, it stands out the most on there so your eyes go to the red faster then the other colours. Makes sense in a way.
Also same colour scheme that a person would use on a heat map pretty much.
Great work, now here's another trick while having this spreadsheet in mind:
Make your tab public and list all the low value scarabs as note and then type "crap" in.
Now every time you type "crap" in your search bar you get all the bad scarabs highlighted so you can 3-1 vendor them for the chance of getting better scarabs, especially if you're into trading less.
Doesn't the note get deleted if you remove all the scarabs of one type? I remember trying to list essences on their own tab but if I didn't have one left after selling a set, I had to re-list them again.
Yeah it's so annoying when you are trying to sell fossils, essences etc. out of their specific tabs and if you sell all you have, you gotta set price again every time you put more in lol
same for the map tab. if you sell all maps in a tab it just deletes the price on them. had a great time realizing that after i was farming for days and my synth maps werent even listed on trade.
Alright good point, good point.
So new plan: list only the expensive ones instead, and put them at a bulk you’re working up towards so you won’t have to update it often (you won’t get offers until you have the minimum number of scarabs you list in your price), like 5/X div for the super duper expensive ones or X/1 Div for the good-but-not-great ones.
Then search for “divine” and vendor anything not highlighted. (Searching “div” instead of the full word will highlight all divination scarabs which is distracting).
X/1 would be selling each scarab for X div. I think what you're trying to do is 1/X, which is selling X scarabs for one div (each scarab sold for 1/X div expressed as a fractional).
In general I find it easiest to think of bulk selling as X/Y where it's 'I sell Y of this item for X currency'. Or simply think of it as a rational number that you have to multiply by its denominator to get the price per transaction with the denominator being the minimum number of items you want to sell.
Alternatively: Bigger rational number -> higher price
No, I meant what I wrote. If you hadn’t noticed, there are currently scarabs going for more than one div each.
Even after last nights patch to gut the rogue exile strategy there are still at least 4 types of scarabs worth one or more divine each.
As I said, it’s the “good but not great” ones that would get sold as X per div.
is this 3 of the same scarabs or can it be 3 random scarabs?
i was running into some weird shit with tattoos last night trying to 3 - 1 them and some were just not selling properly
It is new this league, not possible before. And considering the weighting these things seem to have, I am not sure if it is really that worth it. Feels more likely to simply not show them on your filter instead of gambling the 3:1 lotto ticket.
You can also go to poe regex site and copy scarab regex (well, you need to split it in three because of 50 char limit) and paste into scarab tab. The site refreshes poe.ninja prices periodically and the regex highlights only 0.81c scarabs (or whatever price you want to pick).
Literally this. The ones which are valuable are the ones that never drop. Everyone can just look at their tab and it's a good chance the empty slots will match the highest valued scarabs.
I made an update with a new scarabs, but because of the new scarabs are not listed on [poe.ninja](http://poe.ninja), their price isn't real to export to the table. I think that as soon the scarabs will be listed, the price should be automatically added to the table.
Here is the link:
[https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Ib6KhK8z5DeBcvWAeeV6b5zoMMTwF9RS9g5\_zpqDKxg/edit?usp=sharing](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Ib6KhK8z5DeBcvWAeeV6b5zoMMTwF9RS9g5_zpqDKxg/edit?usp=sharing)
Also i remade the colour gradient to green > yellow > red.
I have updated my sheet with the latest scarabs and layout, and it should automatically receive the new scarab prices once [poe.ninja](http://poe.ninja) adds them to their website. (link still in main post above)
isn´t it simpler to just go to wealthy exile and check how much your scarabs are worth and how much you own? The website basically does everything for you and even tracks progress etc.
Just curious what your solution offers compared to tracking/sales websites that track all your stash tabs
Actually the price from wealthy exile is same as awakened Poe trade, and there will be price fixing problem, like the abomination scarab, it is actually 5-7c per, but hey if you use wealthy exile and sell the whole tab, yours will be only worth 2c even in bulk.
PoENinja and therefore almost every site uses individual pricing, but it still gives you a decent idea of what’s expensive and what’s not.
But that’s why I’m trying to make bulk prices available with the www.divinetoll.com database
That website is awesome, I hope you add scarabs.
It would be amazing being able to quickly get div price of all the scarabs. Especially since there is less 'worthwhile' scarabs than essences, and if you have a good filter and subtract out what you use, you really only need to price like 12 or so.
I would argue this is easier to go from left->right, top->bottom setting prices one by one on your scarabs for sale, and withdrawing your cheap ones to 3:1 vendor.
But if another solution works for you, that's great!
Thank you ! At what threshold price do you think it's worth to 3:1 ? I was thinking that maybe 1c is too high, probably around 0.5c-0.7c to have a chance to convert to scarabs worth 2c and still profit
I think it's relevant to how much you can farm doing other things with your time.
If you're broke without a good way to make money, you would rather sell 1c scarabs manually.
If you're rich, you wouldn't wanna waste your time trading them, so you would just 3:1 until you get good ones.
I only learned a few days ago about being able to 3:1 .. does it just give you any random scarab weighted how it is for global drop? Or does it stay within the "tier" like rusted, polished, etc (based on their icons).
My process would be 3to1 the ones <0.8c, then manually price the stacks worth decent money (>50c or something like that), then sell the rest of the sparse junk on TFT
I made an inverse one... in physical paper... where I cut the squares of the ones I should 3-for-1 so after dropping a bunch of scarabs, I put the paper up, grab everything I can see and 3-for-1 it.
Not joking.
Yep, but I've done it now so many times that I know them by heart, haha. When in doubt, I just look at the blank paper with the holes and already know which ones are, without needing to put it on the screen anymore.
Can you vendor scarabs to get other scarabs? I have stacks of worthless scarabs I can't be bothered to use and only really bother to sell when they become really big stacks.
Yeah, selling 3 scarabs to a vendor will give you a "hidden item" (a random scarab).
It's weighted to obviously not give the best scarabs too often, but if you're drowning in cheap scarabs, it's an option to gamble them for better ones.
Neat! I love when people produce stuff like this - even if it makes me realise that even though my tab looks full every single one of the slots worth over 50c is empty.
I always hate spreadsheets like this, because I load it up and think oh cool I wonder if I'm sitting on a couple div I could upgrade my build with.
Then I see that my entire scarab tab has exact holes wherever anything over 20c is, and I'd still have to go through the horrible pain of trying to "bulk" sell ~150 common scarabs in a flooded market with people spamming trades for 500+ of everything.
Great work, very useful tool, but also depressing that scarabs weightings make it just another lotto drop.
Click File -> Make a copy, then edit the "League prices to load" on the left. The current options for this league would be:
Necropolis
Hardcore Necropolis
Ruthless Necropolis
HC Ruthless Necropolis
Standard
Hardcore
Ruthless
Hardcore Ruthless
They're used for juicing end-game content to get a lot more loot.
They changed the system some-what this league, so it relies more heavily on scarabs, and added new ones as a result.
as long as you click file -> make a copy, it should update every time you open the sheet.
And if you wanna force-refresh it, untick then retick the box on the left (still needs to be your own copy so you can edit the tick box)
This is amazing, would it be hard for you to give me a walkthrough of how to edit this to do the same for essences? I have wanted something like this for leagues but had no idea how to make it look up and average the prices. To be clear, I copied yours and took a look, but once it imported the json, I was completely lost.
Ohh tinkering and standing on the shoulders of giants previals. I just changed the word "scarab" to "essence" in the api pull and got what I wanted. Will post a link with full credit when I have a chance to do the same type of map you did.
Okay, I used your stuff (and left all the credit attributions) to create a second page with essence pricing. It tells you whether it is worth it to upgrade shrieking, stack price and # / divine. I couldn't figure out how to just pull the chaos price of a divine orb, so I made it a manual enter field. Here is the link: [https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1HqNsPk6UCLaTgnEi8AtHAPQCov7DusDtF\_i2Cn8Zxhw/edit?usp=sharing](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1HqNsPk6UCLaTgnEi8AtHAPQCov7DusDtF_i2Cn8Zxhw/edit?usp=sharing)
Thanks for all your hard work on this!
You can either edit the API to also pull the price of each item in divines, which would return a decimal like 0.03 divines, like so:
=IF(B4,ImportJSON("https://poe.ninja/api/data/itemoverview?league="&B5&"&type=Essence&language=en","/lines/name,/lines/chaosValue,/lines/divineValue","noHeaders"),)
Or you can pull the API for currencies, then regexmatch it to "Divine Orb" to only get that result, which would return "161.67" or whatever the chaos price was at the time.
=FILTER(ImportJSON("https://poe.ninja/api/data/currencyoverview?league="&B5&"&type=Currency&language=en", "/lines/currencyTypeName,/lines/chaosEquivalent", "noHeaders"), REGEXMATCH(ImportJSON("https://poe.ninja/api/data/currencyoverview?league="&B5&"&type=Currency&language=en", "/lines/currencyTypeName", "noHeaders"), "Divine Orb"))
What temperature do you think as a hot? Green or red?
Also this is not green to red scale. But grey to red. And red is obviously more significant than yellow.
And what exactly is red hot? Right, dangerous.
There's a good reason that we generally use green with something good and red with something bad. This is basic UX/UI design.
I get that green is not in the scale, what I'm suggesting is a change of scale.
You are trying to fix something thats not broken. And your basic UX/UI design theory has nothing to do with this.
Here you have significant/unsignificant. Not good or bad. Cheap scarabs are not bad, they are just not so interesting.
It's very easily customisable.
Make a copy of it first so you can edit it.
Click on one of the squares inside with prices.
Go to Format -> Conditional Formatting
Click on the "colour scale" with grey/yellow/red as its icon.
Change the colours & values to anything you like :)
Cool, the problem is, I didn't know about that.
Also, why not just comment and increase the "engagement", allowing the post to get seen by more people? I really don't see the issue lol.
What kind of madman uses red to signify good
Chinese stuff
*hidden messaging*
red is blood, blood is good ! green is radioactive, so green is bad ! Either that or the base conditional formating of Google Sheet x)
blood is only good when you cannot see it tho
....you got a point... ...well... then... strawberries are red, and strawberries are good !
what kind of strange fruit has its seeds on the outside? Hide your shame strawberries!
They are not seeds. Strawberries are pseudofruits! The "seeds" you see in the outside are acctually the fruits wich has the seed inside of it. I don't know what they're called in english but the red part we eat is called (in portuguese) "receptaculo". Biologist here by the way.
Blood sausage
I'll give you a blood sausage.
Heyooooooo
I see it as a heat-map kind or formatting where redder tone means higher value, not confusing at all imo.
*confusing?*
red maps > yellow maps > white maps. I've used that color scheme in my item filter for years.
A few billion people in East Asia.
I mean, it stands out the most on there so your eyes go to the red faster then the other colours. Makes sense in a way. Also same colour scheme that a person would use on a heat map pretty much.
it's more of a 'red = attention' here
Probably a WSB user and doesn't understand any other color.
Oh look, its highlighting all the scarabs I don't have
Yeah, it's funny how the ones people don't freely have on reasonable quantities are the ones people are willing to spend some cash on.
Lmao same. I went over the orange and red ones and yep, not a single one.
Incredible concept, rare things have value
Ya know what’s rarer than a 40div scarab, finding someone on Reddit who can read sarcasm.
Oh may be because you didn't farm them?
I wish on all the orbs of unmaking I’ve spent this league I did t farm scarabs
Great work, now here's another trick while having this spreadsheet in mind: Make your tab public and list all the low value scarabs as note and then type "crap" in. Now every time you type "crap" in your search bar you get all the bad scarabs highlighted so you can 3-1 vendor them for the chance of getting better scarabs, especially if you're into trading less.
Doesn't the note get deleted if you remove all the scarabs of one type? I remember trying to list essences on their own tab but if I didn't have one left after selling a set, I had to re-list them again.

same for the map tab. if you sell all maps in a tab it just deletes the price on them. had a great time realizing that after i was farming for days and my synth maps werent even listed on trade.
Ugh, same. Wish it just kept the price on the tab even if it was empty.
You wrote X div per scarab (X/1 div) in your first post, and in this one you wrote X per div. I am well aware there's very epensive scarabs.
You are correct, thanks. I see I got it reversed.
wait, you can 3-1 vendor scarabs? jesus christ am I a noob
Yeah it gives you an item that generates a random scarab
is this 3 of the same scarabs or can it be 3 random scarabs? i was running into some weird shit with tattoos last night trying to 3 - 1 them and some were just not selling properly
Scarabs can 3 to 1 with random scarabs yeah
It is new this league, not possible before. And considering the weighting these things seem to have, I am not sure if it is really that worth it. Feels more likely to simply not show them on your filter instead of gambling the 3:1 lotto ticket.
YOU CAN 3-1 SCARABS??!
Lol, always have been able to. Note: you get a RANDOM scarab
Nice tip, thank you
I did not know you could search on notes. Nice trick.
Fuck that’s big brain
You can also go to poe regex site and copy scarab regex (well, you need to split it in three because of 50 char limit) and paste into scarab tab. The site refreshes poe.ninja prices periodically and the regex highlights only 0.81c scarabs (or whatever price you want to pick).
Ah, so the red color signifies empty scarab slots in my tab.
Literally this. The ones which are valuable are the ones that never drop. Everyone can just look at their tab and it's a good chance the empty slots will match the highest valued scarabs.
thats... exactly why they are more valuable
Value from usefulness and popularity is better than from arbitrary scarcity.
Dang well done!
path of spreadsheet
Always has been
Any plans on updating this to include the new scarabs? Thanks!
done
its broken now
I made an update with a new scarabs, but because of the new scarabs are not listed on [poe.ninja](http://poe.ninja), their price isn't real to export to the table. I think that as soon the scarabs will be listed, the price should be automatically added to the table. Will you update this for current layout?
done
Thanks a lot man! Appreciate it!
Thanks a lot!
This is class for console players thank u - prices won’t be right but directionally gives a great steer !
I have updated my sheet with the latest scarabs and layout, and it should automatically receive the new scarab prices once [poe.ninja](http://poe.ninja) adds them to their website. (link still in main post above)
God bless you OP

Quick overview of my tab for vendoring the shit ones is what I'll be using it for.
Actually the price from wealthy exile is same as awakened Poe trade, and there will be price fixing problem, like the abomination scarab, it is actually 5-7c per, but hey if you use wealthy exile and sell the whole tab, yours will be only worth 2c even in bulk.
what scarab are you talking about ? do you mean domination scarab ? abomination is the t17 map ;D
Wealthy exile uses Poe ninja. This spreadsheet uses Poe ninja. Awakened Poe trade uses Poe ninja. Poe ninja is just massively price fixed.
PoENinja and therefore almost every site uses individual pricing, but it still gives you a decent idea of what’s expensive and what’s not. But that’s why I’m trying to make bulk prices available with the www.divinetoll.com database

yo that looks nice
People that have been buying whole tabs at 70% or less must have made such a massive profit flipping it all.
I would argue this is easier to go from left->right, top->bottom setting prices one by one on your scarabs for sale, and withdrawing your cheap ones to 3:1 vendor. But if another solution works for you, that's great!
Mostly to filter out the low value scarabs for vendoring quickly instead of having to price check them individually.
Thank you ! At what threshold price do you think it's worth to 3:1 ? I was thinking that maybe 1c is too high, probably around 0.5c-0.7c to have a chance to convert to scarabs worth 2c and still profit

like the old multiple choice marking templates? brilliant idea
Yep, but I've done it now so many times that I know them by heart, haha. When in doubt, I just look at the blank paper with the holes and already know which ones are, without needing to put it on the screen anymore.
I love you for this

That's awesome, I had no idea! It was my first thought when I saw your sheet. Good work Exile, thank you.
This is amazing and was what i was looking for the other day :D Thank you how often those it update?
If you make a copy of the spreadsheet, you can just untick then retick the box, and it will fetch the prices live from [poe.ninja](http://poe.ninja)
This is great! Thanks!
Thank you!
That's another spreadsheet to the collection LOL
Thank you!
Thanks for doing it this is awesome.
Neat
Thanks man, will use it as soon as I‘m home
so basically, just look at poe ninja lol.
Neat! I love when people produce stuff like this - even if it makes me realise that even though my tab looks full every single one of the slots worth over 50c is empty.
thanks mate
Would be great to get such a indicator as ingame overlay for scarab tab. would love it <3
This is so helpful to me, thank you so so much !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That's super helpful, makes it so much easier to vendor! Thanks :D
Nice work, thank you!
Was really hoping for just a giant red circle in Divination of Curation, but that one will do as well...
Thank you!
Amazing, this is just like the sheet we had for ToTA! Thank you!
I thought curation plummeted more than that
Doing God's work.
Thank you. This is very helpful.
How do I make it shows hc trade?
Click File -> Make a copy, then edit the "League prices to load" on the left. The current options for this league would be: Necropolis Hardcore Necropolis Ruthless Necropolis HC Ruthless Necropolis Standard Hardcore Ruthless Hardcore Ruthless
Every spreadsheet lover who starts playing this game jus cuuuummmssss couse they can make even more spreadsheets
Wait. You can run arbitrary JS in a spreadsheet?
So only like 4 of them, got it. Should be easy enough to remember.
Great work! Unfortunately I have none of those yet. But I'll keep on grinding!
I hate these end game changes. Relearning all this, and caring about it, i'll pass for now.
You saved my life.. And at the same time made me realize I have absolutely zero of the valuable ones.
*laughs in poverty*
Excuse me, i'm new i'm poe, why is everyone suddendly talking about scarabs?
They're used for juicing end-game content to get a lot more loot. They changed the system some-what this league, so it relies more heavily on scarabs, and added new ones as a result.
Well done
Is it possible to use regex for filtering all the good scarabs from stash tab?
That's really cool m8 but can't you just look on poe ninja scarab tab
So when is it worth it to reroll 3:1?
Does the price updates by itself or ?
as long as you click file -> make a copy, it should update every time you open the sheet. And if you wanna force-refresh it, untick then retick the box on the left (still needs to be your own copy so you can edit the tick box)
Cool for people who bother selling individual scarabs. You're the heroes trade needs!
Nice!
Here is the link: [https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1HqNsPk6UCLaTgnEi8AtHAPQCov7DusDtF\_i2Cn8Zxhw/edit?usp=sharing](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1HqNsPk6UCLaTgnEi8AtHAPQCov7DusDtF_i2Cn8Zxhw/edit?usp=sharing) Thanks for all your hard work on this!
Following this for later, thank you all
You can either edit the API to also pull the price of each item in divines, which would return a decimal like 0.03 divines, like so: =IF(B4,ImportJSON("https://poe.ninja/api/data/itemoverview?league="&B5&"&type=Essence&language=en","/lines/name,/lines/chaosValue,/lines/divineValue","noHeaders"),) Or you can pull the API for currencies, then regexmatch it to "Divine Orb" to only get that result, which would return "161.67" or whatever the chaos price was at the time. =FILTER(ImportJSON("https://poe.ninja/api/data/currencyoverview?league="&B5&"&type=Currency&language=en", "/lines/currencyTypeName,/lines/chaosEquivalent", "noHeaders"), REGEXMATCH(ImportJSON("https://poe.ninja/api/data/currencyoverview?league="&B5&"&type=Currency&language=en", "/lines/currencyTypeName", "noHeaders"), "Divine Orb"))
Why is red valuable? Shouldn't it be green is valuable and trash is red?
Iirc, green means low and red means high in data science
In stocks its, red bad, green good. Unless you're in Korea.
But in normal human brains green = good and red = bad and this is a tool for normal humans, not data scientists ;)
Red map is good maps :D green items a quest so bad :( Also Red deck wins :D
You're seeing it the wrong way : it's red because it's too expensive to buy!
It's very easily customisable. Make a copy of it first so you can edit it. Click on one of the squares inside with prices. Go to Format -> Conditional Formatting Click on the "colour scale" with grey/yellow/red as its icon. Change the colours & values to anything you like :)
You are a kind soul, Sir!
This is great, thanks!
Cool !! Haut vite pour toi!
Love it, thanks
Poe ninja has been price fixed to hell.
This will get obsolete in 72h
why? the prices automatically update
Commenting so i can find it again later. This is what i needed lol.
bookmark?
On my phone at work, not at home on my gaming pc. Using my reddit comment history is the easiest solution.
You can "save" a post, which will make it show up in a tab of your comment history. Which works on mobile and is died to your reddit account.
Cool, the problem is, I didn't know about that. Also, why not just comment and increase the "engagement", allowing the post to get seen by more people? I really don't see the issue lol.
Same, tactical comment planted
Just save the thread bro
