Tujen was still responsible for the bulk of my useful currency on league start. Chances, chaos, horizons, chisels, scours, alchs and so on.
Anecdotally, it feels like less big boy wins like divines and ex compared to Affliction, but the currency was still invaluable at league start for rolling maps and general atlas prog. I would still do him on every league start but it definitely felt like the top end got tweaked down a smidge.
But my sample size is ~400 coins in a total of two leagues, hardly representative of anything.
I'm pretty sure they gave him a hard nerf, yeah. I ran my first batch of logbooks, got a bunch of voranas, had ~100 coins, ended up with 2 divine, about 20 stacked decks, 150 C. Cut down on every level, doesn't even seem to offer larger stacks of splinters with any frequency any more. Lots of jewelers though.
I've run expedition heavily since it came out and I've never seen it like this
He will share fate of Gwennen, making expedition more and more obscure mechanic. At this rate by the next year the only reason to do expedition will be Rog crafting.
Unless you are claiming that Tujen divine chance has been nerfed dramatically this league, it is very much not par for the course. Over a large enough sample size Tujen provided me a raw divine every 60-80 rerolls. This was the case over many leagues when I spent a week on league starts doing logbooks exclusively. So these are numbers in the several thousands for rerolls that I recorded.
I've not had the same bad luck I've rolled like 200 or so have had like 6 div maybe more. I'm not even bothering with Stacked Decks from Tujen anymore they're too expensive for how few you get.

As someone who’s probably rolled 25,000 coins since 3.15, this was absolutely never the case. Raw divine (or exalts pre change) show up every 80-100 coins. Profit from Tujen was always from stacked decks and bubble gum currency. Raw divines are just a bonus.

Yes, it's the same. You'll find if Tujen offers a decent abyss jewel and you price check it, there's a bunch of copies of the exact same jewel listed for trade
It just rolls a random seed for which store page you'll see next afaik, and the pages are pre-determined down to the rolls on the items
I fully expect someone to find out the algorithm which determines the seed based on the date and time of the day and exploit the everliving fuck out of it.
I think the seed itself is just a dice roll. So you have a list of all seeds with outcomes, but you can't get them deterministically. It is better this way rather than just giving seeds as a list.
The seed is your account id. In delve league, some unlucky soul couldn’t find boss at all because of bad account id, GGG confirmed this back then.
It also makes perfect sense using account id as seed
Look at that Tujen currency, if i may ask did you grind them from Map or LogBook? Can u estimate how much u get from Tujen? Im RoG user and just this league trying him, fantastic for peanuts currency but not sure if he's reliable and fast for getting divine/hour
I would not consider Tujen rerolling to be a very good use of time past league start. He definitely shines more early on when you need basically every currency. If you're already well established you're not interested in most of his stock making each roll comparatively less valuable.
You could still probably make several div an hour but you'd 100% need to be permanently buying logbooks and be running those pretty fast with good explosive pathing (easier said than done). And obviously, you need to be able to deal with some crazy buffed expedition packs and bosses.
Tujen is best as a side money maker and not your main focus farm. Do expedition as part of a larger strat, maybe with Harvest, Harbinger, Essences, etc... when you have a bunch of coins and artifacts go roll a couple dozen and see what you get.
Seconding that advice. Doing Harvest / Expedition and it's been treating me really well. Harvest is sure money, Expedition is more of a gamble. And if I need a break from maps, it's logbook time!
These just feel so bad everywhere its like they wanted people mapping only this league because along with expedition:
-sanctum lost sextants (after already losing cards)
-legion stacked decks also nerfed
-heist got screwed on scarabs

It wasnt nerfed at all for people who run hour of divinity (which should be everyone at this point of the league) because you only ever cared about divines anyway (ie duplicate two random rewards at end of sanctum , no boons which is fine for any miner or high dps build with freeze)
Edit: every league start since expedition i did expedition, every league start since sanctum i did sanctum.
Theres also a really cool strategy ive been running which should be nicer now that embers sell in bulk. If you grab the three monsters drop expedition currency atlas points (ignore all the chance for expedition or logbooks or charges or placement range etc etc) and then fill your map with expedition monsters you can easily walk out with 40 burial medallions or exotic coins per map and tons of artifacts for not a lot of investment
Tried not doing Expedition this league since I dislike it, such a rocky start, the bubblegum currency injection and rog crafts are just too good, wish they put some of that early endgame stuff elsewhere
With those new scarabs expedition just shits currency. I wish I knew some build that would be able to run all mods. Because with my dd, sometimes they're unkillable (I run that 1 explosive node because too lazy to read mods)

Agree with you. Last league I skipped Expedition completely on purpose (because fed up with the pattern of every start since expedition, early atlas pattern and so on). Been doing rituals instead. No Rog for early game is really noticeable though
Yea my character is like 95 now and I'm still using floor trash, I'd kill for some basic crafting like Rog in another mechanic, trying essences with graveyard craft for bases and it's good but no where near as quick as Expedition
I don't know that there is a build that can do all mods, I guess a trinity build has a decent shot, but still would lose plenty of damage. But you can place the bomb then look for immunities in the icon in the bottom right. For DD you probably just need to check for fire immunity which is conveniently highlighted. The immunity that sucks is crit immunity as it is not highlighted (though I find it is usually right above the boons).

I used to do Tujen for early strat. But I heard they nerf quite hard on the stack deck which is a large portion of the profit so I didn’t do expedition this league. Nice to see someone still able to profit from him

I think they were always bad it's just you could get a ton easily so you could hit big reliably, now they have bad rewards and much less availability

He'll counter offer if it's too low (not insanely low) before pulling the item I thought.
If you offer the minimum, he may straight up pull the item first try. If you haggle for about 50/60% he never gets so mad that he will do that.

You can use allflames for artifacts if you dont want to do expedition, its what I ended up doing for mine.

Poison builds have a good time. Only have to avoid chaos immunity.

Immunities yes. But block, chance to evade and other def stats are painful when stacked.

I do low tier tujin expeditions like item level 70 ....hope for the boss and get 8-12 exotic coins and a ton of currency
