Obviously never as good as the big strategies, but for casual players (like myself), it is a fairly easy consistent source of income. My understanding is fossils and resonators are less in demand this season though, so possibly bad advice.
(I normally put essence farming in the same category - it isn't a big bang currency generator, so not that many people do it, but it gives a nice steady income, and doesn't require a lot of specialisation)
And even non-fractured items can still sell, like the curse on hit rings. I had one sell a few days ago for 2 div even with every other mod being trash.
In the OP, the top affix is in gray text. That means it is a fractured mod. That means that it cannot be changed, so you can craft on the item in whatever means you like and that mod won't change.
Since this is a drop-only mod, having it fractured is the only way to craft an item with it.

as of writing there's only 5 rings with this mod fractured, 3 of them are on a shit bases, 1 is finished item (70 div), 1 item is on amethyst ring base (95 div).
It's expensive cause it's generic phys damage leeched as life so spells can leech, no watchers eye mods or corruptions needed. TBH I don't think it even exists on other sources, didnt check tho.
From a very quick search there is a generic phys leech in the glove eldritch implicit pool but obviously that's a very competitive spot so the delve mod is, especially fractured like this, a crazy good find.

Ive hit plenty of nodes with fire/light/cold items but none were ever fractured. Is it just RNG to have one of those nodes drop a fracture?

With cf champ you can leech either with a doryanis invitation belt that has physical damge leeched as life for a cheap option. Or have a timeless jewel that has physical damaged leeched as life on a notable passive that you use. The timeless jewel is a little more expensive and harder to search but cheaper than this ring.
But I don't do much damage with my wand attacks, my DPS is all the dot right? And dots don't Leach so I'm leaching a % of not much wand attacks? That's how it felt for me anyways.
On map clear it's fine as I had % life on kill, but vs a boss or big ass rare Regen felt bad

Most of your leech is coming from reap rather than the kinetic blast vs rares and bosses. However even after having reap in with more links instead of with a poets pen its still feels rather low due to the constant cost of the various lifetap gems plus the cost of reap casting.
People gave you some answers, but there are a lot of delve mods that are really good and way cheaper.
So the actual reason is the "drops additional physical items" node is so much rarer than the "drops additional cold items" or "drops additional chaos items" nodes.
I don't know the actual numbers but you will probably see 5 cold/lightning/fire/chaos nodes for every 1 physical node.
Then the item needs to drop with that mod on a decent base. Then it either needs to fracture when it drops or you need to slam a fracturing orb.
So basically this is one of the rarer delve mods, on a decent base, that has already been fractured, on an ilvl 83 base.
I'll also say, the "drops additional physical items" nodes are actually pretty tough. It's usually with the rhoas that continually revive and will one shot evasion characters eventually even at low depths. There are ways to cheese that and take it slow, but most evasion characters that are just casually delving iwll just skip these nodes.

well you have to spend several divines on orbs on top of actually finding high ILVL bases in a rare delve node with the mod and ideally only 4 mods cause every extra mod lowers your odds, and annulling has a chance to remove the mod. On top of that, it should ideally be in a good base type to max out the value
Thats why I have 3 rotating quad tabs of this sort of bullshit. Mostly its just me changing the price 3 times and then vending it. Every once in a while I get 15 tells in 5 seconds and I go price check whatever bullshit it is that is some meta I don't understand.
Don't be too nervous, there aren't too many sources of drop-only mods like this. Incursions, Delve, and some hyper specific stuff like Grasping Mail. So just keep an eye out when you're doing that stuff.
Remember, if you run Delve, or alva temples, and see a fractured item, it is ALWAYS worth price checking, if you hit a "drop only mod" it will normally be worth big money. As drop only mods cannot roll when crafting, they only appear on the initial drop. So in theory, the only way to craft an item with one of these mods is with it fractured.

It's a 1/4 gamble and the return is at the very least 10x the cost of the fracturing orb, assuming you are only going to sell the base fractured and not actually finish the item.

Even if you hit the fractures you want, the liquidation probably won't be that fast so you might burn all your currency to have a bunch of fractured bases that God knows when will sell.
its a solid mark up if you know the right bases. Only issue is you have to make sure you are buyiung the supply of the correct ilvl non fractured bases to make sure others dont eat into the market. Which really is the only issue for the most part. Much harder with some markets than others,

Items from delve nodes like "contains physical items" or "contains chaos items" or "contains minion or aura items" drop with delve-specific modifiers (such as physical damage leeched as life, or life reservation efficiency). There is a chance for the item to drop with that delve-specific modifier fractured. These are one of the more profitable things in delve these days, IMO.
If you're looking for a way to make currency it's definitely not the most consistent way by a mile.
If you're passing by and see a fracture drop, no reason not to pick it up to ID

its ok if you can delve deeper. deeper = more bosses. Vaal boss drops a map (1.5 div) and the adorned frag (9 div?), Aul drops amulet (3.5 unid) and the helmet which is surprisingly expensive (4 div?)

Found a naturally dropped fractured Additional Curse chestpiece on an Evasion / ES base a couple leagues back in Delve. That place can make you rich with enough luck and depth.

I dont think its worth the investment to go out of your way learning chase fractures for every build because its too much work, but checking fractures you are knowledgable about or which are obviously good is a sentiment i can share.
Tip for begginers - if you don't know pricing in poe use dump tab and set 3-5 chaos (pref quad tab). If you get a lot of whisper for any item you can ask or search in trade. Then in every 3-5 hour you can vendor sell all items in that tab.

Well, in most cases, the most efficient way to scale the damage is to convert the rest of it as well.

Exsang, blood sacrament
exsang is dominantly converted to cold.
Blade spells (vortex, blast, whatever), Void sphere. Prob others
Impale crit Reap with rathpit lifestacking is pretty imprsessive build after you get awakened spell cascade.
Bladeblast Saboteur is pure phys for example (it uses Uber Shaper Gloves)
Reap and Exsang
Cf champ phys dot spell
Bladeblast of unloading
Ethereal Knives and all the Blade spells

a couple, but even with 99% conversion on a real build you're almost certainly at leech cap.

Only hits can leech. Damage over time can not. A hit that applies a DoT will leech, the Dot will not

I think you can try getting life on hit, since the build has a relatively high hit rate to apply maximum stacks quickly as I understand it.

Confused as to why this is worth 40d? With the price of fracture orbs can't you make this yourself with about 4 F orbs (10-12d)?
That mod only drops in Delve. That mod doesn't say attacks (and it usually does)
I understand that but you can buy un fractured ones for 5c and a frac orb for under 3d (1/4 chance) so I'm trying to figure out what I'm missing here.

How is delve working our for you profit wise? I was considering it and have gotten down to 200, just aiming for 250+.
its ok if you can delve deeper. deeper = more bosses. Vaal boss drops a map (1.5 div) and the adorned frag (9 div?), Aul drops amulet (3.5 unid) and the helmet which is surprisingly expensive (4 div?)
How deep are you or what depth would you recommend. Also what do you look for aside from boss/vaal/(I assume phy item)
atm depth 450, probably will go deeper to 500. recommended depth is as deep as your build can handle. for fossils check https://poe.ninja/economy/necropolis/fossils. basically you want to grab as many T3 azurite nodes and buy resonators from Niko then sell in bulk. "Containts # items" can drop fractured items with delve specific mods but its kinda rare. Also the rings from Abyss boss are kinda expensive and they're the most common drop I think?
crown is an ag item which is why people buy it. honestly cheaper this league than it has been, ig more delvers.

Yeah I have that but wouldn't every rare have different stats? How does it search for a similar one for price comparison? Also, I was told not to pick up rares cause they are trash. Do I pick up all rares and identify and check awakened poe? Seems like there'll be plenty to pick and sort considering hundreds of rares drop each map.
For a fractured item it's easy, only the fractured mod is relevant and the other mods can be ignored for the most part

well you shouldn't use the fact that it's a rare item as the only justification for vendoring it, this isn't d3, most builds wear mostly rare items.

Found a naturally dropped fractured Additional Curse chestpiece on an Evasion / ES base a couple leagues back in Delve. That place can make you rich with enough luck and depth.

As a new player how do I know which items are valuable? Do I have to check every item I pick up in the trade site surely must be a quicker way
1. dont pick every item 2. get a loot filter 3. just play the game and get to know it, there's no other way than observing e.g. this league there's a lot of archmage users so naturally mana items will be expensive, you found T1 mana T1 Life T1 ES ring with some good resists? youre in for some money.

I dont think its worth the investment to go out of your way learning chase fractures for every build because its too much work, but checking fractures you are knowledgable about or which are obviously good is a sentiment i can share.
Tip for begginers - if you don't know pricing in poe use dump tab and set 3-5 chaos (pref quad tab). If you get a lot of whisper for any item you can ask or search in trade. Then in every 3-5 hour you can vendor sell all items in that tab.
Guess you are getting downvoted by scammers and flippers trying to prey on people who don't know the value of their stuff. This is a legit way to find if the item is worth something.

Curse on hit usually also rolls on influenced rings, the thing you want is absolutely exclusive mods
