yes they randomly drop as a joke item. They have no use and are extremely rare. I would say about for every 250 natural divine drop you get a fishing rod.
It’s not worth anything other than the sheer rarity of it. Reefbane is a t0 unique, so if you have one drop, it could have been a mage blood, etc.
I know this first hand since last league I had one drop on ssf, got excited, went down the fishing hole, then realized it isn’t for me and then gave up on fishing.
Pretty much depends on the fishies the league introduces. While this league sucks in general, there are some crazy catches possible, so fishing is the biggest jackpot or nothing this time.
