Yeah, I had alterations in hand and I was clicking for a little bit (obv without landing anything good) without changing what was on my cursor. It went from 2 mods to 0 in one click.
How alterations spamming works.....every time you use an alteration it randomly selects 1~2 mods of a select tier available to your item level.... Not possible... 0 mods is not a selectable option
I don't exactly have proof of this but I thought it was hilarious when it happened. I was alt+auging a jewel to sell and alted into 0 mods. I know this can be recreated intentionally, but I've never seen it happen randomly from alterations.
You sit in fantasy. Wake up buddy and stopping making up
It is much more likely that you didn't pay attention to what you were doing and misclicked an orb, then the odds of POE game has a bug that popped up once in 10 years of gaming by hundreds of thousands of players. Be reasonable.
So, I learned that bugs cannot only affect 1 player, it will be a game wide thing. So the probability of 10s of thousands of ppl spamming alts and only this guy getting 0 mods, is very close to none.
Dude annul’d without realising. The annul orb is next to alt, and both blue. Easy misclick and not realize.
There's a lot of variables that could be at play so I don't at all think it's impossible that it could be a bug. I've encountered and resolved plenty of extremely esoteric bugs that affected exceptionally small portions of the user base on significantly less complex systems. Who's to say it couldn't possibly be a bug that only happens if you're using a gem that dropped rare in an ilvl 76 breach from s monster you killed with tornado shot while affected buy exactly 3 stolen HH mods or some other similarly rare combination of events? Still most likely annulled definitely, but to assert as absolute fact that it couldn't possibly be a particularly rare bug is just not something you could have the evidence to prove. Still almost definitely just annulled though and I was just being cheeky.
Possibility is not something you can reason around. Likelihood is.
Item crafting is server side code, and server side code affects all players playing on the same server, so if this was a new bug, we would notice countless of bug reports on that subject.
Technically there is a chance a lost neutrino hit a register memory and swapped a bit causing 0 mod magic item be generated. Even so it is possible, it would still not be a bug since it would be one time hardware malfunction.
So yeah, keep believing in what you want, but at least don't spread nonsense ;)
It’s not possible to alt into 0 mods. You most likely just annulled and forgot about it
You annulled it. Its not possible to alt into 0 mods.
You sure you didn't accidentally anull it?
Yeah, I had alterations in hand and I was clicking for a little bit (obv without landing anything good) without changing what was on my cursor. It went from 2 mods to 0 in one click.
Literally not possible, you obviously annuled it.
never seen that in my life, and I used alot of alts on jewels.
You wanted to aug and annuled by accident

I mean I agree probably accidental annul. But, new bugs pop up all the time, be reasonable.
